I have been going there for 20+ years. A few months ago I went for a transmission fluid change which was $200 and is easier to do than an oil change. A few days after a warning notification came on "transmission overheating". I went back a the owner told me that is normal. That after 50k miles Hondas do that. Then I went to Honda and they confirmed that a recommended fluid was not used when changed. They tested the fluid on the spot. So I was charged $200 for a cheap fluid change that took 3 minutes. Check other reviews. I'm not the first. It's a shame though. I like to support small businesses but this is unacceptable. So better! read more

Superior Service. Went in today 12/17 with a problem with the engine, gentleman asked to leave the vehicle and he will diagnose it. BEWARE they over charge using very cheap oil and parts on your vehicle. When you suggest you will bring your own parts they double / triple the labor fees with absolutely no justification. When customers question "Pierce" here he will abrubtly hang up the phone. Intolerably rude and unacceptably unprofessional. "Pierce" is an awful reflection of the business having the business lose tons of customers/money by inappropriate conduct. Please do NOT waste your money or energy here. This place is fantastic. My car was making noises and I figured that I needed to get my timing belt changed. I called up a couple local places, and one of the places told me they actually didn't that specific job but to check out Fast Lube because that's where they've taken their cars to get the job done and said their prices were reasonable. Good enough recommendation for me. The quoted price was on the lower end of the range of quotes I got (the lowest seemed so low that it was suspicious). The Yelp reviews and especially the other mechanic's recommendation sealed the deal. I also had some steering issues. When they took a look, they said I might need to have the power steering pump replaced but that it wasn't an urgent job like my timing belt. Left the car with them overnight. Came back to find that they also fixed my power steering issue for free! They didn't replace the pump but at least I can better steer my car for the time being. AND they finished the job 2 hours before I had to get to work. Guess I know where I am going when I need the power steering pump replaced. read more

Went to this place for Daughter to help out. Had fluid leaking down on my vehicle below oil. Owner took me underneath car to look at oil leaking and told me it was going to be pricey, leaking from power steering pump and Engine. Told me he would need it for 3 days and was looking at $2000 or more for repairs.. Glad went and got second opinion, went to my old car repair place in Hawthorne and they painted, different picture . Power Steering leaking but not the problem, head gasket on top leaking. Felt stupid because my old guy told me when you have any kind of leak from the top, it's going to get to the bottom, it's called physics!! The owner at other place said, whole engine would have to be taken apart!! 3 days and at least $2000. My old guy at A1 Smog in Hawthorne did it for under $1000 in half a day .. Head Gasket main problem, power steering leak minimal.. Replaced some heater hoses and gasket on top. Very upset that a Spanish owner trying to take another Spanish retired man for a ride, only in California, do not take your car to them, they will sell you a bridge, if they can get away with it!! read more

I have a diesel pick up hence, most quick lubes do not carry the right oils or filters. I came by here at the suggestion of one of my mechanics. I'm glad I did. It's a no nonsense to the point operation. I have to purchase the oil and filter myself, but they'll change and dispose of it for 25 bucks. Came in today at 9am and was out by 9:20. I recently went for another routine oil change at a different auto repair, and the technician asked me where I had gotten my previous oil change. I brought my flat tire in to get it either patched or purchase a new one. I was told it could be patched up and a few days later the air was coming out again. I had my boyfriend look at it and the guy didn't put the cap back or cut the excess patch or fill my other tires with air like he said he did.... I tipped the guy really good too. I had a great experience here yesterday. My PT Cruiser had the check engine light on (I checked the code P 0128 and found that it had to do with the coolant, engine coolant thermostat, temperature gauge). I couldn't get it into my regular mechanic because it was Saturday and they weren't open.My husband talked to Chabelo, the owner of Fast Lube, and he said that he would check it out. I had already added coolant, but that wasn't the problem. The inside of the car felt hotter than usual while driving and I could smell what I thought was coolant burning (not a pleasant or healthy smell). Chabelo took a look and found that the engine coolant thermostat was defective and that the temperature gauge needed to be replaced also. I held my breath while waiting for the price, and it was faaaaarrrrr less than I expected it to be...very workable. It was 1:00 in the afternoon, and they closed at 3:00, but he told me that he could have it ready by then. Sure enough, it was done, the check engine light, the heat inside the car and the smell of burning coolant were all gone. Had I of been able to get into have my regular mechanic do the work, I wouldn't have walked out the door for less than $350-$500. I really like this shop and it's much closer to work than the other shop is. I will definitely be taking my car to Fast Lube from now on for all mechanical needs. Thank you Chabelo :) read more

These guys are within waking distance of my home, which is why I first chose to go to them. Working nights and being single and driving a 16 year old truck, I have needed them twice in the last 4 months- once for a timing belt and last night for a wiring problem that shorted out all my tail lights. Each time I left my truck in their driveway- dropped my keys and a note describing my problem, phone # etc.. in the little overnight key drop. Walked home, went to sleep and called as soon as I woke up. Both times they were able to fix my truck that day so I didn't miss work!
