I brought my truck to Dad's Garage in Owings for three relatively straightforward items:…read more * TPMS sensor programming * Tire balancing * Diagnosing an emergency brake-related clunking noise under load I had an 8:00 AM appointment scheduled well in advance, yet after TWO full days, the truck sat untouched until around 2:00 PM on the second day. This was a job that realistically should have taken a couple of hours. The TPMS issue was never resolved. Initially, I was told the sensors had been programmed correctly and that the warning lights were caused by incorrect tire pressure -- one of the most ignorant explanations I've ever heard from a mechanic. The reality was simple: the inner rear TPMS sensors were never programmed at all, which was the entire reason the truck was brought in. They eventually admitted that after the fact. Next was the wheel balancing. My truck has custom powder-coated wheels. Instead of using stick-on weights like the factory setup already had, they installed hammer-on steel weights on the OUTER edge of the rims, damaging the powder coating in the process. Any competent shop should have immediately recognized the proper balancing method after removing the existing stick-on weights. As for the emergency brake concern, they never properly diagnosed it. I specifically brought the truck in for a loud noise under load -- not the normal sound of the electronic parking brake actuator engaging. They dismissed the issue without ever meaningfully reproducing or testing the concern. To top it all off, they broke a wheel stud using an impact gun on the lug nuts rather than properly torquing them as a qualified mechanic should. Because of the excessive use of the impact gun, I now have concerns about stretching or cracking of the remaining wheel studs and will likely be replacing all of them as a precautionary safety measure. Between the damaged powder coating on the wheels and the wheel stud issue, I am now facing well over $1,000 in damages to either have the wheels professionally re-powder coated or replaced, along with replacing the studs they improperly handled. What made the experience even worse was my conversation with Mike, the owner. From the beginning of the call, he was defensive and adamant that everything had been performed correctly -- until several of those claims were proven untrue. Once confronted with the facts, the conversation quickly became unprofessional, including yelling on the phone rather than attempting to resolve the situation appropriately. Two days wasted, damage to my wheels, unresolved issues, poor communication, and additional damage caused while the vehicle was in their possession. This experience was frustrating from start to finish. Steer clear of Dad's Garage unless you want your vehicle returned with more issues than it had when you dropped it off.

The service had a few things I could do, but things that other service centers couldn't do, like a full trans flush, Eurosport has the equipment for. And the dealership price would have been about 25% higher (at least), so the savings were substantial. I am a big believer in keeping up with maintenance, as we tend to drive our vehicles for many years (last car the wife had wore out at 20 years; my last one I finally got tired of after 15 years, but it was running like a top still with 250K miles). I believe that Eurosport is a shop with quality services, fair pricing, and honesty as their core principles. There are fwew shops like this around any more.

I have not spoken with anyone associated with Eurosport Auto Care nor has the damaged door panel been repaired as stated by the company. Trust in any business is paramount when dealing with a craft that may not be your own. The blatant lie from Mr. Louis L/Eurosport Auto Care that they contacted the customer and resolved all issues (no issues were resolved) makes this company untrustworthy.

I used South River Auto Service for about seven to eight months as I was working in the Edgewater…read morearea. This auto service is by far the worst experience I've ever had. My last and final visit; I brought my car in because it was having transmission problems. I received a call from Dan (the owner) the following day, and he said "your car needs a transmission, good luck finding one." So being very concerned I said, "what should I do"? He went on to say "well there's something called the internet." Okay, what does that mean? "You're going to want to find a transmission for us to install. I have my best guy out looking for one; he found one in a junkyard, it's $900 and it's a crapshoot." So two weeks of searching and looking for a place with a solid transmission that would be compatible for my car, I did manage to find one and Dan from SRAS said they would be able to do the job. They installed it and when I picked up the car he said "it drives good and shifts good." So I paid just about $2,000 to South River Auto Service and was under the assumption everything was fixed. Approximately four months go by and the transmission that Daniel Eisel and mechanics installed was already destroyed. If SRAS had been honest and said we will not be able to complete this job; I recommend you take your car to a mechanic specializing in transmissions. Especially, after all the money I spent and what I got in return. (i.e. Essex/Glen Burnie transmissions offer a 1-year/ 12,000-mile warranty on rebuilt transmissions and a 3-year/ 100,000-mile warranty on remanufactured transmissions) You will overspend your hard earned money if you take your car to South River Auto Service. Oftentimes, your car will not be fixed properly and you will be left with many issues to come.

He told me a quick date just so he could get the car in and get paid. He has no right to hold on to my vehicle. He doesn't care what kind of inconvenience he imposes on his customers. Fast forward to today, my son takes his truck in to get the AC checked. They say he has to get it replaced. BUT, they can't give an estimate because the guy who does the estimates isn't in until Monday. Then he has the nerve to say if we take the vehicle home he has to charge a diagnostic fee, all of a sudden thats policy, because we might take it somewhere else to get it fixed. Like it was our fault his guy isn't there. His mom asked to text the receptionist who knows us and he says he doesn't have her number/jcan't text her. She gets the keys to leave and suddenly he's texted the receptionist and he's trying to work something out. Mind you we have been using this shop for over 20 years! That has never been "policy". And what right does he have to hold our vehicle over the weekend. Notice the theme. All this guy wants is money. He'll say anything to get you to leave the vehicle to make a buck. The previous owner was thoughtful, helpful, thorough and timely. This guy is the total opposite and has zero appreciation for long time customers. The mechanics and receptionists are top notch, the owner not so much. Beware of getting anytime other than an oil change.

Air filters, oil changes, even brakes. The first problem was getting an oil change I didn't have time to do. I have an easy access panel on an after-market skid plate, that they over torqued the bolts, and when I went to do it myself, I couldn't get it off. I took it back to them (after I went to do my own and realized the bolt was stripped) and told them to get the stripped bolt out and replace it and do an oil change since I'm not taking the whole steel skid plate down myself just to change the oil when the point of the access panel is to make it simple. They returned my vehicle. Never fixed it. They took off the entire skid plate and now left a bolt out of the skid plate completely. Next, called to ask for a brake quote. I did my own last time (cross-drilled rotors for cooling in traffic), but have much heavier tires now and can't get the things back on solo. They won't replace the pads without the rotors. Um, I just did them and just need pads. Maybe they're mad I do some of the work myself? or maybe they're just getting cranky, but I've taken both my vehicles there since I moved here. Now I'm looking for another place. Ps. There used to be a blonde lady who worked there that was awesome and friendly. Now you just get nasty comments when you ask them to fix something they broke.

Good plan? Long story, shot: They claimed the transfer case had to be removed in order to replace the alternator and the part would cost ~$500 and labour ~$1500. More than $2000 to replace a part that retails for less than $300 and an insane amount for labour that only requires about 1.5 hours according to the Ford Service Manual. It does not require removal of anything related to the transfer case at all. It requires the R/F wheel and axle be removed and then the alternator. They claimed that is impossible and that their "Ford Master Tech" has never heard of such a thing. I suggest he try reading the Ford Service Manual. I guess they have to make their $$ somehow, but they're not ripping off my son. I'll do it myself in the driveway...I tried to avoid working outside in the cold, but so be it. Good luck to anyone who goes to this place. My son ended up paying ~$70 for their "diagnostic" which had no basis in reality.
