There is no other place I would chose to go for my oil change. Other places will make you get out of your car, wait in the waiting room as you listen to elevator music and sit next to a bunch of strangers. Here, you pull up, give them your information, and just sit in your car while they change your oil. Within 15 minutes, your back on the road and good for another 3000-5000 miles. read more

Today was my first visit. The team was very professional and efficient. I opted for the full synthetic product (not a blend which was cheaper), and they gave me a discount. I was able to stay in the car while they did the service, which only took ten minutes. They explained what they were doing throughout the process. Felt very much like I was just a number, even tho I've been going there for several years. Miss the old crew a lot. Oil changes are available anywhere now, even good ones. I arrived at this location after work today around 5:15 expecting an after work rush. A car was leaving as I arrived so I was able to pull right into the garage. I wish I got the gentleman's name that did my paperwork and most of the dialogue. He was friendly and helped me feel at ease about car maintenance, which can give me a bit of anxiety. My technician was extremely pushy, but I knew I needed to change my cabin air filter so I said yes to that upsale. NEVER AGAIN, when the bill came I was charged $40 for it, that's an $8 part at any auto parts store, and takes about 1 second to change out. A complete rip-off. $58 for a conventional oil is outrageous, especially when the dealer is much cheaper...and.. does more to include tire rotation and brake checks. My son took my truck there and the bigger issue is that they used conventional oil despite the manufacturer's recommendation for synthetic blend..ao we now get to drain their crude out to replace with the correct oil. Do yourself a favor...you paid a lot for vehicle, don't ruin it with an overpriced oil change with the wrong oil...do it yourself, go to the dealer or a local shop such as Sutton's or Patriot. read more

My low tire light came on in my car, so I pulled into Valvoline and asked if I could pay the gentleman to check my tires and put air in if needed. He told me this was a complimentary service. The workers checked my tires, added air and told me my tires were low, but I was good to go. I asked again if I could pay them, they said no. I offered a cash tip, and they said they would not accept it. They told me their job is to make sure my tires are ok and my car is safe to drive. I appreciated their service and they saved my day. read more

The service was very slow, although there were only two employees working at the time from what I could tell. There was a single car ahead of me when I pulled up, but it still took about an hour and fifteen minutes until I left. I brought my 2011 Lexus in for a full synthetic oil change. They were out of the full synthetic so I opted for the mix. They also replaced two of my air filters at their recommendation. Price was very fair, about $120 after all. I was given a $17 discount for the long wait. I'd come back, but I hope they bring on more staff. I also think it's pretty awesome that this auto shop is run by women. This place is awesome. So fast! Everyone was very nice. I had oil change, tire rotation, air filter change and cabin filter change, all done in about 30 minutes. Sunday 10:30. Went there for tire rotation. They said their "tire machine wasn't working," and they sent me to Annapolis West St location, where, after a long wait (having to move into the "correct" lane and wait behind a customer getting a lot done), they said they thought Edgewater was lying, and that they "had done this to them about five times in the last two days." I don't know whether Edgewater was lying or West St. just had a bad attitude. Whatever... will look for someplace better and more organized next time. Cost me an extra hour today. read more

I was in line for 40 minutes. I was second in line when I got there. Then when they finally pulled me into the first bay, it tore up the bottom of my car and they told me to pull out to a different bay. So I had to wait longer. I drive a Honda civic, nothing crazy. I wonder how many times a day they just tell people to pull into that bay and risk damaging the persons car. Once the oil change started I was met with nothing but rude employees who didn't seem to care how they acted or reacted towards the customer. Uninviting like they were angry I was giving them business. I left with a headache and a bad mood. The "instant" oil change took about an hour and a half from the time I pulled up until the time I left. Never again. read more

I usually go to the Honda place to get my oil change and services done, but I was in a rush and decided to come to Valvoline instead. When I first came in, I was greeted by a nice man named Stephen, who also changed my oil for me. He explained exactly what he was doing for me and discussed my oil changing options. He made my experience here very pleasant, but the other employees were talking extremely loud about what time they are off and all about their personal lives, which I found to be very unprofessional. They also laughed and joked around when they messed up or dropped something, taking their time to fix it. Overall, Stephen gave me a good experience here, but besides that, the customer service isn't the best. read more

My son took his 2012 Honda Accord to this shop on Thursday, March 14 around 5:30pm for and oil change and tire rotation. He got the oil change but the employee told him that they could not do the tire rotation because their shop jacks would not work on his car. That is not believable and disappointing. Will never use this place again. read more

The place is a rip off. The staff has a poor attitude, except for the lady, I was given a choice of services and when I asked for the lower price I was told the didn't have that. Probably did but wanted to cheat me. when I was asked how I wanted to pay I handed them a debit card, which was wrong, should have gave them a credit card then I could have done something about the charges as all fluids were not checked. I was not given a receipt but the computer screen had "not checked" on most fluid levels. Between the attitude of the people, the charges and incomplete job, I will not be back. I can go to the dealer for charge that I paid and would get better service. You may be a big company but you are way way short of offering good service. The is the second company that I have been to that cut me short on good service so t here will be no more visits to oil changing companies. It will be a dealer job from this point on. read more

First and only visit... Went there for a headlight bulb replacement - which they fixed. Unfortunately while in the bay, the oil drain plug was either extremely loosened or removed by the tech in the 'pit', this was confirmed later after my car was towed due to engine failure (no oil). Motor was completely blow due to full oil loss - Valvoline denies they mistakenly removed drain plug and properly replaced. Off to court to expose this shoddy operation. read more

Went in for an oil change today and was notified that I had an extreme leak on my oil pan gasket. Therefore they said that before I spend money on a oil change that it would be wise to fix the leak first. They then topped my engine oil off and said there was no charge. I can't say enough about how nice and courteous everyone was. They have me as a customer for life. read more

Printed a coupon for a $25 conventional oil change. Ask the person who directs you into building if it was honored he said yes. Then when asked what grade oil I wanted I showed the guy at the computer and said whatever the coupon covered he suggested mid level then when time to pay he says it's not valid and total is $62. After 20 mins arguing he says he'll take $15 off. I just paid the $49 and left. I will be contacting the corporate office about this. I will never go to valvoline again and will spread the word via social media and word of mouth as much as possible. What a f_sucking joke read more

My husband had his oil changed a few years back at this location and they used the incorrect oil, even though he was very clear that he needed synthetic due to the manufacture warranty. We had not gone back in years. He went this past week due to time constraints and our normal place was booked. As usual they recommended a new air filter, showing him his, saying it was dirty. This was replaced less than a year ago and not necessary. The next morning his car started making a very loud noise. We took it to our mechanic and guess what....the air filter assembly area had been loosened, could have only been done by the mechanic at Valvoline. We had to pay $40 for the time, and the tightening of the air filter assembly back into place. DO NOT use this shop, nothing but problems. read more

When I pulled up, I had a Groupon for a synthetic oil change and before they started working on my car I wanted to make sure that they would take it so I physically showed this employee the Groupon and scrolled through it. The guy tells me of course they take it. So once they're halfway done with my oil change another person tells me they actually don't take that Groupon, and she can't honor it even though her employee just told me that they would take it. This Groupon was a gift, so it went from being a free oil change and became a $100 oil change. She did give me $15 off but the price was still $75 when I should've paid none. I had my own synthetic oil and filter at my house and I would've done it myself if I had known they weren't going to take it. It just seemed like a giant scam. I am not someone that likes to yell or make a scene, so I didn't but I did express that it was very frustrating that someone told me they would take that very Groupon, they started the oil change and then told me they wouldn't take it, and I could've done it myself for free! My boyfriend called them and tried to work something out but instead of believing their customers they decided to believe the employee who lied to get himself out of trouble-he swears he never saw the Groupon and that I said it was a coupon, but he definitely watched me scroll through it and saw the big green letters up top reading GROUPON. I understand if your employee made a mistake but don't say your customer lied and still charge them for something they never said they'd pay for to begin with. They could've honored that Groupon and should have since their employee was mistaken and they had already started the service-but it's no wonder this place has terrible ratings as they really don't take good care of their customers. The manager also said she would call my boyfriend back, it's been a month and she never did bother to call back. Anywho I learned my lesson will never go to valvoline again, it's a good $70 cheaper and less of a hassle to do it myself. read more
