Today, I accompanied my mother to this restaurant to order chicken and broccoli with a side of rice. During the ordering process, my mother made a mistake and wanted to purchase a drink separately after ordering with card. Rather than offering a solution, the employee at the register stated in a firm and unhelpful manner that my mother would need to purchase an additional, larger order in order to buy a drink. Throughout our visit, we felt unwelcome. The staff gave us negative looks and made us feel as though asking for basic items such as napkins, forks, and spoons was an inconvenience. This was especially noticeable because we were the only customers being served during the approximately 20 minutes we were there. In addition to the poor service, there appeared to be an insect problem inside the restaurant, which raised concerns about cleanliness and sanitation. While the portion sizes were reasonable, the overall customer service experience was disappointing. The food itself was average at best and did not make up for the poor treatment we received. Due to the lack of professionalism, hospitality, and cleanliness concerns, I would not return or recommend this restaurant to others. read more

To me, greetings and acknowledgment at an establishment can sometimes make or break an experience. Tonight, that experience was broken. The woman mopping the floors looked at me with such distain, like "how dare you", when I arrived and unfortunately had to walk across her mopped floor during business hours without any warning of it being wet, other than my own common knowledge that it really ruined the whole experience. My preferences were not met and this woman's total attitude was all wrong. I understand wanting to get your job done so you can go home but there was no apparent spill or need to do that, and honestly put customers at risk of falling, at the time (7:45pm). I'm totally turned off from a place I raved for their wings. Not worth it to me. Totally disappointed, and honestly disgusted safety wasn't taken accounted for. Mushy egg rolls! Yuck. General Tso's chicken. Meh. They overcooked the broccoli and put it underneath the chicken so it got smushed. Taste was ok. Not outstanding. Pork fried rice was decent except there were no peas and carrots. Not enough pork. Probably won't go back. China taste (up the street) is better. read more

This is a good Chinese food takeout place. I got a Four season entree which had beef, chicken, shrimp and pork and an order of fried dumplings. The 4 seasons had a nice sauce, good flavors, it had a lot of vegetables. The fried dumplings were really good, nice flavor in the pork and cabbage filling and a great skin. I called in ahead of time and the food was ready in 15 minutes. The place is super clean, and the kitchen and cashier were behind plexi glass. So it was a safe and fast transaction. Soured....ordered online, got a confirmation email, went to shop and no meal... after some conversation and giving order taker my phone number, they found nothing. Pretty good Americanized Chinese food. Stopped by for dinner and got: The pu pu platter The egg rolls Broccoli in garlic sauce The pu pu platter was nice. The shrimp toast was crispy and tasty. The crab Rangoon was okay, I've had better. The spare rib was pretty good and the egg roll was ok. The veggie egg roll was made with a different shell than the one in the pu pu platter and was far superior to the one in the pu pu platter. Perfect crispiness and went well with the duck sauce. The broccoli in garlic sauce was a mixed bag. Overall the dish besides coming with a generous portion of broccoli also came with a lot of mixed veggies including water chestnuts, onions, and baby corn in a very tasty sauce, but it wasn't garlic sauce. Wasn't what I was expecting but good nonetheless. Overall I'd come back for more when in the area. read more

Honestly, I was really excited to order from this restaurant. If you have any allergies or other dietary restrictions do not order from this place! It disappoints me to write this review. We have been customers of Fast Wok for 30 years. We basically get the same order every time. The price went from $27-$28 to $38. I understand why. Everything has gone up and they need to raises their prices. But the quality of the food has dramatically changed. The egg rolls were terrible. Dry on the outside and inside. The wonton soup usually had 8 noodles in it but now it has 6. Spare ribs had very little meat on them. LIke I said I am ok with price increases when the quality of the food stays the same. But paying more for poor quality food is a bad combination. Now we have to find another Chinese food place. Not what we expected. :-( read more

Great Chinese food. Fast, hot and tasty. Our go-to for pickup. Place is small and only has like 2 tables so you will probably want to order it for takeout. I ordered Mandarin Chicken and Hunan Beef carry out. When I got home and opened them, both look and taste exactly the same except for the meat. I went back to complain hoping they would change the Mandarin Chicken, the guy/cook insisted its their version of Mandarin Chicken even if I showed him a picture of the real mandarin chicken dish. I would have appreciated a simple honesty and admit their mistake but instead, he lied in my face, gave me a smirk and mistook me for a fool. Dishonesty is very bad for business. read more

I worked at a Chinese restaurant for 6 years so my standards are extremely high. When I moved to the area to live with my boyfriend I was dismayed at how much I disliked another Chinese place I tried. He suggested I try Fast Wok and it felt like I was in my old store again. Huge portions, great prices and a friendly (albeit broken English) staff. I ordered fried rice with no vegetables (sometimes this gets overlooked but I've never had that happen at Fast Wok) and my BF got beef with vegetables which he raved about. There are three tables and a dozen chairs in here to sit in for eating. Coke and Pepsi products to drink. Decent prices on the lunch specials. Pretty quick service with the food. The food wasn't amazing, but it was enjoyable and the lunch special was more than enough food for one person. read more

Of my combo the orange chicken was inedible and the egg roll was bland. The fried rice was edible, but had little taste. The WonTon soup was standard. It's pretty hard to screw that up. My wife would have gotten better sweet and sour chicken by pouring Chung King S&S sauce over chicken McNuggets. What we both got a few hours after the meal was the runs. So don't run to Fast Wok. Very Bad & Bland Chinese food. Nowhere near what I've tasted back in CA. I've been trying to find a decent Chinese food place here in MD and it's all a fail. From the outside of the establishment its smells amazing. I went in for the first time. Entire place is empty that should already tell you something. I ordered the beef and brocolli that was up on the menu pictured up top and said I wanted that and I got the small portion. It had an egg roll on the side w fried rice. What I got in the car was white rice, no egg roll and a whole entire bowl of the beef and Brocolli. Color is off . I tasted the dish and it was so sad and flavorless. I make better beef and Brocolli at home for sure! Paid $7 for this. Definitely not coming back. They said they've been there since 1992.. well see how long they last because with now 21 reviews and an empty restaurant I dont think itll be there in the future unless this is what people think or call as "good" Chinese food.. Keep in mind this is a Chinese takeout not a real sit down restaurant. I had Kung Pao Shrimp and a spring roll. The dish was not spicy at all, had way too many celery stalks and huge chunks of green pepper. I only counted five shrimp and this was the dinner portion. On the contrary the rest of the crew ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, a portion size to feed an army. It was mostly chicken and very little fillers. The Spring Rolls were simply filled with shredded cabbage. Overall this was a mediocre meal at best! Not too impressed. I think we will stick to PF Changs curb side. read more

I've had the general tso's, its pretty decent. Hunan Chicken is good, but too much veggies, not enough chicken. The shrimp lo mein is great. The taste of the food is good. Best general tso chicken in Maryland. If you decide on a take out night, this is the place to go. I'd say you should think about what to get, but in reality, just get the general tso chicken. All the other items are quite good as far as "average" chinese food, but, I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else, now that Panda Buffet is closed. read more

This is the only chinese take out we come to. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because we always get the same thing: Gen Tso's chicken, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice and chicken lo mein. We haven't tried other dishes so I don't know about them. My four kids absolutely love it! It's good food, ready in about 15 minutes, price is good, especially on nights when you don't want fast food and don't have time to cook. The employees are super friendly and its a clean nice place.
