This was my first time here. Have always wanted to go to fat bastard burrito as I love Chipotle Mexican burritos. We had ordered jerk chicken quesadilla and Nashville crispy chicken burrito bowl. The Nashville bowl was extreme spicy as I was looking for and very happy and content with it. The quesadillas with jerk chicken was a little disappointing as they were sour and like it had a lot of vinegar.( I love jerk chicken, not sure what gave the sourness) . This is probably my favourite burrito franchise due to the following reasons: 1) amazing selection of filling, including 2 types of beans, fried noodles, crispy tortilla chips, guac (no extra charge), pico de gallo, corn, really good hot sauce (that's not Frank's or Sriracha) 2) they offer a "huge" size that is legit the size of a newborn baby or 2 standard sized burritos (can cut it in half and split it with another person), making it very good value 3) the fish burrito (with fried cod or haddock) is by my favourite item; the other meat items tend to be a little on the drier / blander side read more

I ordered a Burrito Bowl with Buffalo Chicken (Crispy, Big size). They have more flavours and meat options on their menu compared to Chipotle, but taste wise is not as good. Their "big" size isn't that big, more like regular to me, and Chipotle's bowl is larger. But this is reflected on the pricing since Fat Bastard's big size is $1 cheaper than Chipotle. One good thing about Fat Bastard is that they allow guacamole as one of the burrito fillings you can choose from, while Chipotle charges you extras. However, Fat Bastard only gives you like two spoons. I also feel like they don't give you as much ingredients per bowl. I wasn't fully satisfied after my Burrito Bowl, and they added too much sauce. Perhaps I should try the usual burrito next time instead. Another thing is, they are not as fast and efficient as Chipotle, If there's only 1 person at the counter, expect some wait time. In Heartland Town Centre and were thinking of trying FBB as I knew they had opened a few months ago. Just after the lunch hour so it wasn't as busy. The girl quickly took our orders and started to make our burritos. We had a LIl and a Big (small and medium). Both were without dairy and that made them vegan. The fillings were plenty, however they seemed a bit under seasoned. The veggie ground available at competitors was sorely missed. The free guacamole was a welcome change. The hot sauce wasn't that hot for me in-spite of having with four lines. The medium was quite filling. The Tofu added was sweet which I personally didn't like. It conflicted I guess with the hot sauce. Would definitely go again and try different. The service was great and place clean but at lunch time I guess it's packed. read more

They have a good variety on their menu. I saw pad thai in a wrap, had not seen that before. Will not return. Ordered a small jerk chicken naked burrito - extremely disappointing. While waiting for my order I noticed the lady in the kitchen wearing flip flops as she was preparing someone else order. My bowl had very little of everything. The jerk chicken was literally just boiled chicken because they forgot the sauce? (I thought it would've been marinated). When I showed them they just squirted some mystery sauce on top drenching my barely full bowl. Needless to say it was barely edible and didn't taste anywhere close to jerk chicken. read more

Service sucked, restaurant was a mess and there was no taste to my food. I noticed when they were serving the chicken the had to squeeze the juice out of the chicken, (gross) but it was still soggy. Pleased to visit the new location. This was the best tasting burrito I had in two years, hands down. Tequila lime was the name. Service was prompt, no hold ups, just waiting for my burrito to cook perfectly. The toppings station was very fresh looking and maintained for after the lunch rush. So, it must be noted as I've said before, this business takes the crown due to the demise in quality I kept experiencing at certain other burrito business (that also stopped offering ground beef). They have better seating here than older locations, and bonus outdoor tables around the corner provided by the mall. As per most of my reviews, I'll share my best tip, hit lunch after 1pm to avoid the area's business crowd onslaught. read more

Fat bastard burrito is amazing, but this location is by far their worst fat bastard in the entire gta, the wait times are ridiculous, and after a year of operating the employees there STILL can't wrap a burrito for the life of them, it's pathetic, my grandma with arthritis can wrap a burrito better than that!! Burrito wrapping is Pretty essential to a burrito shop if you ask me. In the four times I've eaten here (hoping they will get better with experience and practice) they have only gotten worse, check out this epic fail-rrito I payed 15$ for. Not only was the burrito an epic fail, but they don't provide anything to eat their pile of meat and sauce with, they want you to cave man eat their sad excuse for a burrito. Had my first FB experience last night and it was AMAZING! Their website says all meat is raised without hormones or steroids, from farmers certified with responsible animal care. Omg I absolutely hated everything about it. I decided to get fat bastard was I was in the same plaza. I have never been before so I was quite indecisive with what I wanted. I ended up going for a lil burrito bowl with steak and fish. The toppings for the bowl looked so old (beans and the noodles). After she was done with my toppings I noticed she dumped some hot water into the bean container. Once I saw this I already got turned off. They handed me the container and I opened it to check. First off, the beef was not steak but rather like a pulled beef. I don't like anything that looks "pulled" so I had asked if I could just change it to something else. They hesitated and didn't know what to do. They eventually took it back and spoke amongst each other saying "what do we do with this then?" I just wanted to get out of there so I told them just to pull the beef out and put in chicken-- which is what they did. Also there was literally a pinky sized fish portion in there which was just all batter. I was fed up of complaining so I just took off, knowing that I will never go back to this chain ever again. I ordered a burrito salad here yesterday expecting a standard bean and cheese, but what I got was just so bad. Why are there noodles in a burrito? And hardly any lettuce? And why are there no jalapeños? Just so many questions. There is no competing with burrito boyz for this place - so disappointed because I know it was founded by a co-founder of burrito boyz. If you're looking for a run of the mill burrito then come here. There honestly isn't anything special about them- toppings are typical other than the noodles option. came here at about 7pm and service wasn't too bad. Orders the fish tacos and I was so disappointed you have no idea. LOOK AT THE PORTION OF FISH YOU GET its like half a fillet of fish cut into 6 pieces LOL ITS COMICAL. You can't taste the fish when you eat it hand to God. Also the batter on the fish was way too rock hard crunchy it ruined the taco. The toppings inside included a bit of coleslaw which I usually don't like but it was good and 2-4 pieces of diced tomato and green onion.
