This little spot slings out decent crispy roast pork and roast duck with reasonable prices. When I ordered the roast pork, I was asked if I wanted bone-in or boneless pieces - I've never been offered the choice before, so it was a nice option to have! Who wants to pay for the weight of bones anyways? (Please tell me if there's a reason to pay for the weight of bones.) My biggest pet peeve at Chinese BBQ spots is that they tend to lop off more than the requested weight of meat to get you to pay more. When I went here, they weighed out the closest to 1lb I've seen. Much appreciated!

Went a couple times when they opened but always came later in the day and most items were sold out like the crispy pork and the quail. Finally able to hit 3lb crispy pork to bring home for a family celebration meal. The skin was nice and crispy you could hear it when scraped with a knife. The meat itself this time was extra fatty, too much fat for my liking. The flavor could have been infused better, more salt or something -- it was definitely lacking a bit in that department. Overall pretty good, we like our other spot in Quincy more for the flavor but their crispy skin was great!! Used it to make spring rolls/lettuce wraps! Space is tiny, walk up window and out, fits maybe 4 people in and out.

Three treasure rice rice with crispy roast pork, barebque pork, and duck - $13

Stopped by and picked up a three meat treasure rice box for $13. The crispy roasted pork was not crispy and lacked flavor. The cha siu was dry and the marinade used was too 1 dimensional soy sauce heavy. The duck felt very fatty (the fat did not render well at all) and the skin was kind of tough and hard to chew. Seyu Mack Tenn on 11 Brook St in Quincy (2 minutes drive away) is much better in comparison.

Another option for Chinese BBQ has been added to North Quincy. I heard there was a hype regarding this new spot that just opened up 2-3 months ago. Checked the menu online and it looked very similar to other Chinese BBQ spots. A little small inside so it's great for pick up. A quick grab and go meal. I saw that they have fried quail. I really wanted to try it. Got there around 11ish in the morning and it wasn't available. A little disappointed but it gave me a reason to try the basics. Got two orders, 3 picks each. Chicken, roast duck, and roast pork. The other one is with chicken, roast duck, and crispy pork. From the reviews, crispy was not crispy and lacked flavor. I did not experience that lol maybe it's because it was still fresh when I got there? Perhaps a little later in the day it's not as fresh because it's been out? My pork was very crispy. You can hear the skin of the crispy pork crackling. The roast duck was amazing but fatty. To many, that's not their preference but I love it lol Roast pork was ok. Could be more tender. It was a little dry. The main reason why I love it so far is because their ginger scallion reminds me of the great Wai Wai in Chinatown that unfortunately is no longer around. Great customer service, super friendly. Definitely will come again on my day off!

    Line at the door

Too bad there's no half star or I'd give it 3.5 stars. The space is small, it has 3-4 small tables & seats. There was a line once I walked in. Prices are great but I can understand after opening the container. My 3 meats with rice ($12.99) looked great in photo but once you flip the meat it was most bones. My chicken didn't have any skin on top. The proteins are lacking flavors. Maybe they need to marinate it more and longer? I will come back later to see if there's any new improvements.

Half a pound of roast bbq pork and a quarter pound if crispy roast pork. They are all delicious.

This place just opened yesterday, and i think they will do well. The sign said they open everyday from 8am-8pm, so that's easy to remember. They sell everything by the pound, but they also have rice plates. There were about 4 tables inside, but most people just order for to go. Definitely a keeper and glad they opened in the neighborhood. They take card and cash.

The platter contained two beef ribs that had no meat on top and a little meat around the sides.. There were two St. Louis ribs that should've had more meat on them.. There were three small baby back ribs that had the most meat of any of them. The platter also came with beans which were half contained in a water sauce. The ribs and the beans were doused with a very spicy sauce. It also came with coleslaw, which was dry and cornbread, which was mediocre. My husband had the chicken and brisket platter. It had the same spicy sauce. They came with the smallest sweet potato. I've seen in a long time and also the dry coleslaw and mediocre cornbread. To eat your food there was the cheapest plastic knife, and fork. The fork could only contain about three beans at a time. The knife was so bad that my husband took out his pocket knife to cut his food. If you wanted something to drink, you had to purchase it and that included bottled water. There were other beverages that I didn't recognize and there was no Coke or Pepsi. They were known napkins only rough, brownish paper on a roll that you pulled off pieces. At least there was a bathroom to wash your hands. We will never return

BBQ and Bourbon in one place? What's not to love?!?…read more My buddy and I came in here on my most recent trip to Boston. We ordered some brisket spring rolls to start. These were delicious and came with a great bbq ranch sauce. We then split a 3 meat plate; wings, burnt ends, and pulled pork (they were out of brisket) it came with cornbread, beans, mac and cheese and potato salad. The wings were phenomenal; smokey and crisp. The pulled pork was good and paired well with their sauce. The burnt ends came already sauced and were swimming in it. They weren't my favorite. The sides were just ok to me, but I really liked the cornbread. The whiskey selection was huge! I got a pour of the Heaven's Door Private Selection which was a 127.4 proof and delicious. The prices seemed decent. The service was a little slow, but the place was very nice.

The good to very good: Pulled chicken - good flavor! Jalapeño cheddar sausage - very good flavor! Cole slaw Mac n cheese Cucumber salad was good Kids meal gluten free bar was very good The medium: Nashville hot chicken sandwich and fries. Fries were seasoned well. Where was the Nashville hot sauce Tried regular wings and hot wings. Both average. The bad: Ribs were dry and lacking flavor Brisket was very fatty. Burnt ends were doused in sauce and didnt have enough meat. Flavor was overpowering and not in a good way with all the sauce/seasoning. Cornbread was dry and a bit hard. Cool that they offer kids meals with BBQ but the ribs chosen were dry and the fries came out under done and room temp. Not as crispy or flavorful as the adult meal fries. All in all, a very "mid experience".

Can't beat the chill summer vibes on Wednesday nights at Off the Hook. They've got the blooming onion, which is a big crowd-pleaser. They also have bacon-wrapped scallops over jasmine rice (my daughter's favorite). They also have street corn dip with chips. Their pizzas are perfectly crispy and chewy. My favorites are the fish tacos and the fish Reuben. My wife enjoyed the fried scallops. If you are lucky, you might get a cocktail in their fancy and fun fish glasses. And they have that rare everyday bucket of beers deal that's as difficult to find in Quincy as their $1 oysters on Wednesday nights! Live entertainment nights are fun. Singers serenade the crowd in front of a life-size mermaid skeleton. The staff is friendly and hard-working. I've never had a bad meal, and I've never had a bad time there. I was grateful to have my friends gather there for my birthday this year!
