Had dinner before the Yelp Elite Event at the NBPAC! Festive vibes from the decor and music! Love the art murals! Food was good- typical Mexican food! Street corn had a kick! Loved my CACTUS BLOSSOM SANGRIA! Small portion though! Parking deck walking distance and walking distance to the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC). Server did check in but really long time frames.

Stopped in before a show at State Theater and we had a lovely experience. Place was nearly deserted when we arrived, but really filled up quickly as show time approached. The chips and salsa were so fresh, always a good sign that your Mex will be a wonderful experience. They had no issue refilling our bowls of that as we waited for our meals, but it was hard to get the attention of the man who does that. I got Chimi Carne Asada Steak, served with a verde sauce and quite good. A bit pricey at $35, but tasty. My wife got Birria Pizza and my son got Birria Burrito, both good. I believe my son mentioned he got three meals out of his Burrito, which made me feel better about parting with $24. The drinks were good. I would imagine they could do better than $6.50 per bottle of Miller Lite, but what can you do. This would be a five star review if their prices were a bit better, but the food was good. Clean establishment and Christian was a wonderful server. I would go back, and their Parsippany location is closer to me.

    Jarritos and burritos!

Quality meal here pre-show at State Theater. Portions are very large, food is 3-4 star level, service friendly but a little slow. Fajitas were by far the best dish ordered, with a great presentation on a three-tiered dish. The blackened chicken was perfectly done and very flavorful. The Al pastor burrito was good, but way too spicy for most at the table - loaded with jalapeños. Kids loved the Jarritos selection - all laid out in a display wall at the reception desk. I knew I was in trouble as soon as we walked in!

Stopped in here before a show and was seated pretty quickly. But it was a bit of a wait before my waitress came and took my order I started off with the cheese empanadas but the kitchen sent out my main course first which was the seven layer burrito with French fries by accident. But the burrito was excellent and the fries were crispy. When the cheese empanadas finally arrived they were good as well. The food was very good. My only issues was the amount of time I had to wait for my waitress to take my order and to give me the check and I was sat under a speaker that was blasting loud music so having a conversation was a little hard. The ambiance screamed Mexican bar/restaurant it's very colorful which I loved. Overall I would go back again hopefully the service side is better and music isn't as loud next time

I met up with friends for dinner and when I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was led to my friends. Jorge was our servant and he was great! I ordered: Chicken Tinga Arepas Chimichurri Carne Asada Baileys Tres Leches I enjoyed the Arepas and the Carne! The Tres Leches was too sweet for me! All in all a good experience

Love the made to order tacos! Pick your shell, fillings, toppings and sauces. We tried several fillings and they were all delicious. Warm tortilla chips and dip are a great accompaniment. Our server kept our tortillas refilled every time we emptied it. They also offer standard menu fare - but I definitely recommend trying the made-to-order tacos so you get exactly what you want!

    7-Layer Dip Burrito

The 7 Layer Dip burrito may have been one of the grossest things I've ever had. It was an incredibly soggy tortilla, filled with lettuce soaked in sour cream + cilantro mayo/aioli. Barely any beans. The enchilada sauce described as spicy was actually sweet. I can't even believe they served this. (Why would you put mayo in a burrito anyway?!) I should have gone to taco bell for a better burrito for 80% less. The staff is very nice, but doesn't write down orders and my order came wrong.

Some type of burrito and taco that my son ordered. He loved them both!

I find it surprising that all desserts are priced at $14, regardless of the type. Meanwhile, my deep-fried avocado entree is only $24. This seems like an imbalance in pricing. With that said, the food is effin' delicious! The highlight for me was the Panchicano dessert. They had the AUDACITY to deep fry a piece of tres leches cake with sweet corn batter and top that with caramel infused ice cream and Mexican chocolate nugs with a side of sweet whipped cream and sliced strawberries. ¡Five finger lickin' delicious!

    The margaritas were so good!

The food was amazing & the drinks were even better. My boyfriend took me here on a date! The service was great & we actually ended up purchasing one of the photos from the photographer; it even came in a clear photo frame. We got tacos; jerk chicken, chicken adobo, and korean short rib. These were delicious!

Our group of 6 was promptly seated on a Saturday night, despite it being quite crowded. The food was ok, but the entrees were a bit underwhelming in general. In particular, the consomme for the birria items was bland. However, the jalapeño cheddar corn bread was pretty good. I wouldn't come back just for that though.

The food was reported to be good. The service was slow as heck. The ambiance was definitely cute. I came in with about 9 students as we were on a trip. The host gave us menus and taco slips to fill out. I walked 2 students 2 blocks away and returned.(10 min) The hostess had not checked on the students. She was on the phone and computer in her office. 40 minutes later we got our food but she opened the sodas and dumped the caps. Why? We were taking it to go. That forced the kids to drink it as they walked but had not started eating. Just dumb...They said the food was food though...

Great evening lunch here. The chimichurri steak tacos was so good Full of flavor every bite dripping succulents juices. Very colorful, cultural ambience, true to Mexico and great service. Our waitress took care of us from beginning to end.

I appreciate that there was a lil something for everyone, as I'm not a wing person like my friends are. I got the miso ramen and really enjoyed it. I also thought the music was great, and it didn't overpower our conversations.

I just had a very negative experience here with my friends that aligns with the other negative…read morereviews. Their management is, at best, misleading and, at worst, scamming. I don't blame the waitstaff at all, as they are very kind, welcoming, and quick, in my experience. First, the food. The quality is fine, but I always find it a red flag when Asian restaurants are run by non-Asian people and there are no Asians in the crowd. "Authentic Korean" is just entirely not true, but I digress. The wings were quite good but expensive, and some of the menu items are absurd. Over $30 for a simple salmon was high to the point where I couldn't even try it to see if it was worth it. The drinks they have available are only high-end costs at mid end quality. I find a $26 New Jersey Riesling elsewhere more interesting than their $30-$56 selections. The soju and sake are insanely marked up and ridiculously priced. The food also takes quite a while to come out, even when they aren't busy at all. Plus, there's an automatic 20% gratuity charge. This didn't bother me, except for the fact that it is not only applied to food but to karaoke rooms. I found this very misleading. People do not expect to pay a 20% service charge on a room booking. This raised the $160/2 hrs to $192, and they refused to budge on this misleading application of the tip. Today, a group of my friends went to the karaoke room. Yesterday, Friday, May 8th, my friend called and they told him it was $55/hr. Today, it was $80/hr. The strange part is, when we said we weren't expecting the high cost, a man (I'm presuming the manager, but I'm not sure) claimed that no one would ever say that, even though a waitress said just minutes before that it was probably the new guy and she was sorry. Then, the man doubled down and said that yesterday, the charge would have been $55 but today (Saturday) it's $80. This makes even less sense to me because, upon checking afterward, the menu clearly says $55 Monday-Thursday, meaning that Friday would be the same cost as Saturday. So he clearly was lying to our faces that yesterday would have been the lower cost. I tried to verify this on the website, but it's so poorly built and disorganized that I can't even find the karaoke cost. I find this business model very confusing. I have no reason not to believe that lying on the phone + not including information on the website is so that people only choose to book the rooms when already inebriated. I would highly recommend avoiding this place. Support authentic (half the price!!) Korean restaurants instead.

A short walk later, I found myself at Destination Dogs, a place I had seen in photographs that suggested capaciousness. In reality, it is smaller.  This is not a complaint, just an observation.  I remember once hearing something about the contents of small packages. At 12:30 the place was full. Packed with humanity and appetite. I was seated quickly, as if someone had anticipated my hunger in advance. From the bar came the sound of construction crews discussing their midday rituals. Apparently this is where they come on Fridays, to repair themselves while they repair the city. It explained everything. Service was swift and attentive, a minor miracle given the crowd. I began with a Scotch egg, an item that seemed to have wandered in from another story entirely. I ordered it for that reason. I had always imagined my first Scotch egg would be eaten in an English pub under low ceilings and older regrets. Instead, here it was. Perfectly crisp, warm, and generous. The universe does not ask for permission. Then came the main event. The menu is an atlas of hot dogs. Domestic. International. Proteins in tube form arranged like possibilities. There is even an invitation to build your own, which I accepted. I attempted to recreate a favorite from Crif Dogs, a thing called the Spicy Redneck. Bacon wrapped dog. Pickled jalapenos. Coleslaw. Simple in theory. Destination Dogs improved upon it in every way that matters. The bacon crisped with purpose. The jalapenos spoke clearly. The coleslaw behaved. The hot dog itself seemed proud to be there. All of this, plus a 16 ounce beer, cost me about twenty five dollars with tip. A small price for order in a chaotic universe. Five stars. Not because perfection exists, but because this comes close enough to make the argument.

Service was awesome, walked in 2 mins before happy hour and the waiter took our beer order in record time. He was also very attentive during our entire meal. I ordered the Andouille Armstrong and it was my fav, great snap on the dog and all the flavors complimented each other great, I also had the Si Si Guey, wasn't my favorite but wasn't horrible, I wasn't a fan of the chorizo, I felt the toppings made this hot dog.
