One big plus is that their hours are longer and they are open for more days than they used to be (they used to be closed 2-3 days of the week for reference). If there is a downside compared to older years, I'd say the service has declined slightly and staff can be a little unattentive at times, but still wouldn't say that it's bad. Good amount of seating both indoors and outdoors. They will always bring you a basket of chips and salsa to start with. And unlike most other places, they are actually GOOD quality and they give you a sizeable portion to start so you're not constantly asking for chip refills. And they have no issues giving those to you as well. Menu is on the smaller side, but you can't go wrong with one of their tacos. Tried a few and have yet to have a bad experience. A few years back I occasionally had some issues with the tacos being burnt but haven't this happen again in recent visits. One thing I also really like is the rice and beans they give you with the tacos. While that may be a standard for any mexican joint, the rice has a bit of cheese mixed into it and is done very well. Perfect to add into any taco or enjoy on its own. The drinks are pretty on-point as well. Although the tacos may not look that big on initial glance they will definitely fill you up especially if you opt for their sour cream and guac, which were both done very well. Overall, this is probably my favorite spot for Mexican in the area, and I'll keep coming back every time I visit GA.

We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation, but were told our table was already ready, so we were seated. (The restaurant tables are very close together, so be aware that if anyone in your party is wheelchair bound, it may be difficult for them to maneuver around.) The restaurant is kept very warm inside, and I'm usually someone who feels cold easily, but even I was rather hot. A woman brought water glasses and a water carafe to our table and said, "If you want something besides water, just let me know," and then walked off. So, in my mind, that woman was a food assistant or a food runner. Turned out, she was our waitress! She later stopped by, didn't introduce herself and didn't ask if we'd ever been there before, but did ask if we wanted an appetizer. We ordered Potato Pancakes. She also asked if we wanted bread service, so we said yes. We did notice from other conversations at the very close tables near ours, that many of the customers are regulars and have their favorite waitstaff. The manager had stopped by a table to regrettably inform a couple that their favorite waiter was out for 2 weeks. So, that did give us hope that if they have regulars, it must be good. The Potato Pancakes were delicious! (I didn't even stop to snap a picture because we were very hungry!) My husband ordered the "Bier" + Cheese Burger ($16.95), and I ordered the Pork Shank "Schwweinehaxe" ($34). The waitress said she had to check the availability of the Pork Shank, so I told her that if it wasn't available, to put in Chicken Wienerschnitzel. Then she didn't come back to let us know what the kitchen said. My husband flagged her down to find out if the pork shank was available, and she said she'd forgotten to come back, but that it was. He also told her that it was my birthday, so she brought out a cute birthday tea light for the table. The food was absolutely delicious, and for the price point, you can easily see why people are regulars there! The pork shank was enormous! (We ate off of it 2 more times after we took it home. The restaurant gave us extra gravy at no charge, too.) The rosemary mashed potatoes were very good! The presentation was lovely! My husband really enjoyed his burger. Then for dessert, our waitress brought out a slice of tiramisu with a wedge of chocolate cake over it, berries, whipped cream, and a little birthday candle in it. Turned out really wonderful! Will definitely go back to this unique spot!

I also got a side of spatzle because I really enjoy it and it did not disappoint. To end the evening, we got the bananas foster, which came with a table side show to make the dish right in front of you. It was a very nice finish to an incredible meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a nicer dinner and to try German cuisine, which is not very common in the Atlanta area.

The restaurant has a fair number of TVs, which allowed everyone to have a view of the soccer match. Definitely have to keep this place in mind for other family dinner nights. During a couple of our visits, there was live music, although I'm not sure whether it's offered every Friday. On our most recent visit, we ordered calamari, blueberry cheesecake, fish and chips, a Philly steak sandwich, a burger, and a grouper sandwich. We requested the grouper sandwich grilled but were not informed of the $3.50 upcharge until we saw it on the final bill. We also ordered a strawberry basil martini, which unfortunately did not seem to contain any noticeable strawberry or basil flavor, a ginger mule that tasted mostly like ginger beer, and a Guinness. Overall, we spent more than $180 on our meal. Everything seemed great until we got home. Unfortunately, everyone in my family experienced stomach issues afterward. We couldn't determine exactly what caused it, but the experience has made us decide not to return. It's disappointing because we had enjoyed our previous visits and had generally been very satisfied with the restaurant.
