    So yummy

Been coming here for years. The staff definitely treat you like family and also the food is always so good. The restaurant is always so clean. I love the fact they grind there own coffee beans on site so it's always super fresh and taste great. I got the biscuits and gravy combo and a coffee it all was so good and the size of the food they give you is great as well. We will continue to keep coming here an telling people we know about it as well.

The early bird special is the main reason to go!

Placed an order for pick up and the customer service wasn't warm on the phone. And when picking up the food it was busy but again customer service didn't feel very warm or welcoming. The food was ok for its price. I would go again just because it was so cheap.

My cousin visits this restaurant at least three times a month. The staff and owner know him very well. He treated me to breakfast and I ordered the posole. It was delicious. The owner came out and introduced himself and asked how was our food. The staff is so friendly, and you could tell they have regulars. I highly recommend coming here. The food is delicious and the prices right

Amazing food, amazing service. Highly recommend. Small and cramped breakfast place but amazing.

Did they not flip the pancake long enough?

It's like..: you ever been on vacation at a MOTEL that serves complimentary breakfast. That's this place. Ordering to go is such a risk. Eggs..ZERO Seasoning. Taste like rubber. I can't make this up. The waffle?, not a crunch to it whatsoever. The boiled sausage link is probably the safest choice. Shame on me for skipping dinner and waking up starving. This is jail house breakfast. The pancake taste like pancake batter cause they flip it for 2 seconds then put it in the to go box ‍

Update: they keep getting better and better. Fan-freaking-tastic!!! Best early bird breakfast there is. Extremely friendly staff, and my order is always correct! Really love this place, it's like a family.

Chilaquiles - Special of the day
    Pinar K.

Very happy that I gave a chance to try the chilaquiles! Layers were really tasty, from smoky beans on the bottom to the eggs on the top! Definitely recommended when it is on the specials board! My boyfriend got corn beef hash with scrambled eggs which was also a good choice considering he cleaned the plate! Service was really fast and we appreciated all the people we interacted with. Cafés ambiance is an open space and they display art on the walls.

There was lots of parking right in front of the restaurant that made getting inside super convenient. There was plenty of room for us to sit at a large table with our babies in high chairs & strollers nearby. Inside the cafe is decorated very nicely. The staff were so kind and welcoming too. I ordered a mocha and the sweet cheese crepes. My mocha was the perfect balance of sweetness and chocolatey! I savored every sip. The real star of the show though, were the crepes. They were perfectly soft but with a slight crisp on the outside just like I like them. The filling was sweet but not overly and was well balanced with the slight bitterness from the berry topping on the crepes. Overall the ambiance, food, and accessibility make this a great spot for brunch! Will definitely be coming back.

There is also a side area to eat, however there were a number of flies buzzing around, which made it unappetizing (this was kept my review from being a full five stars). The indoor area is a mix of dark woods and faux plants, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. As for the food, there was only one plant-based (vegan friendly) option for me: the cilantro lime avocado toast. This came topped with micro greens and pickled onions, and with a side of potatoes. The portions were very generous for the price and the food was delicious. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the staff were kind. I also ordered an Americano that was good. This spot is like a little hidden green jewel in Citrus Heights. I hope more businesses fill out this complex so they can continue to do well.

It's very nice inside. Basic, but bright and very clean. You either order on their app, or you order on a touchscreen. The menu is large and varied, all of the fish is sustainable, and they have both fried and fresh items, so you can literally eat as healthy as you want. I decided to go for the salmon burrito bowl. It was chock full of goodies! It had Cajun-marinated salmon, white rice, beans, avocado, tomato-cilantro mix, pickled onions, and a signature cream sauce, and a Roasted Tomatillo Salsa. To drink, they have a wide selection on the fountain, I decided to try a pineapple cream soda. It was very good. The cream soda kept the pineapple from being too sweet. The food comes quick, and it was amazing! I had a choice of having it with rice or as a salad, and I chose to have the salad. It was on a bed of spring mix. The spring mix was very fresh, the salmon was amazingly moist and tender, and there was a generous portion of everything. I like the cream sauce, it was tangy. Just everything played very well with each other. The only thing I didn't care for was the beans. They tasted very good, and I'm sure they would've gone well if I would've chosen rice. However, with a fully loaded salad, I personally just feel that they didn't belong. They kind of clashed with the rest of the flavors a bit. The price was reasonable, for such a high-quality meal. The meal was absolutely excellent. I would gladly order this again, or I would order other things off the menu. I will be back. Thank you.

As an Uzbek family originally from Tashkent, we must admit, somewhat embarrassingly, that we had not visited this restaurant serving our native cuisine until now. And before coming here, I could never have imagined that what I would see and hear would truly amaze and delight me. This feeling came within the very first moments of entering the restaurant, where lively music was playing and the famous song "Uchkuduk" performed by the band "Yalla" was playing. Along with this, there was a large artistic wall panel on the right, beautifully painted, illustrating a caravan of camels traveling through a hot desert. On the left side, there was another artwork--a fresco depicting the entrance to a caravanserai, once a resting place for traders along the Great Silk Road in ancient Samarkand, a major trading hub of its time. What impressed me most was the central part of the hall's wall, where dozens of exquisite decorative items were neatly arranged--examples of Uzbekistan's national art, craftsmanship, and traditional design. These beautifully reflect our culture and heritage, known around the world. The elegant furniture, the uniquely designed ceiling, and, of course, the glossy, mirror-like epoxy floor all perfectly complement this incredible beauty. Honestly, one feels like saying that this is not a restaurant, but a museum, where for a moment I truly felt as if I were back home in Tashkent--so cozy, familiar, and close to the heart. Now, moving on to the main impressions of our visit, especially the genuine delight of our American friends with the unique and delicious dishes we ordered. Of course, there was the famous Uzbek plov, three types of juicy kebabs, salads, samsa, manty, and two kinds of tea. After the meal, fully enjoying the outstanding flavors, our guests sincerely admitted that they had never experienced anything like this anywhere before, and promised that this restaurant would become one of their favorite places to return to again and again with friends and family. The next day, each of us, while at work--including myself--felt absolutely no hunger until returning home. What a phenomenon! A true testament to the richness and satisfying nature of Uzbek cuisine--something not often found in many other dining places in Sacramento. For all of this, and especially for the incredibly beautiful interior design that reflects both the historical depth and modern spirit of Uzbekistan, creating the impression of a "small Uzbek enclave" within California's capital -- we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the management of "Caravan Uzbek Cuisine Halal" from our small family. We wish you and your wonderful staff good health above all, and continued success in earning the appreciation and love of both your loyal and new guests, contributing to the growth and prosperity of your business. And we, your new admirers, look forward to many more visits in the future to this truly beautiful and magnificent restaurant. Amen.

The staff was nice although it took some tries to flag their attention for water refill, etc. We started off with manti. I've never tried this before but it's a dumpling filled with ground beef and sweet onion. It was very cumin-forward. The white sauce was smooth and balanced. The meat platter for two was awesome and came out flaming literally. It had 2 beef kabob, 2 chicken kabob, and 2 lamb chops. My favorite was the chicken for how juicy it was. The beef and lamb tasted a bit drier and very cumin heavy but overall delicious. We finished off with honey cake and tea. I loved the cake-- layered with a light creme and naturally sweetened by the honey. It paired well with their strong and fragrant black tea.

It was fun trying somewhere new as we usually go to our favorites. For the past several years we've been going to Scott's for celebrations, but that has gotten old so thankfully we found somewhere new and loved it. I highly reccomend this restaurant. The ambiance is spectacular. If you can get one of the side tables under the overhang with the wine bottle chandelier you'll love it. Here's what we ordered: Borscht with Beef: Traditional red soup made with beets, beef, garden vegetables topped with sour cream- To me it didn't look appetizing, but it's a traditional dish so we split a cup. We didn't have much hope that would be edible. We were blown away trying it. It was actually good. We were shocked. It was so good. It was filled with pieces of tomatoes and beets and huge tender chucks of beef. Spinach Blini-Gluten free, vegetarian, 6 blintzes filled with spinach and creamy white sauce. We really enjoyed these Spinach Blini. They were very rich. I could only eat two to them and took the third one with me to share with my husband. He really liked it and wish there was more. I really wanted to get the Cherry Blini, but we were too full even though we shared an entree. I'm so disappointed as they looked so good. We needed a couple more people at our table so we could have tried more dishes and eaten everything family style. Beef Stew-Tender chunks of beef meat, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and this good things stewed in perfectly hearty cheese gravy baked in clay pot and served with tortilla on top.
