Great food, excellent prices, and fantastic service. Second time visit after way too long and we had forgotten how good this place was, how big the portions are and how friendly everyone is. We vegans were able to, with the gracious help of our server, put together a potato scramble with lots of veggies -- cooked perfectly, not overly greasy or oily. I LOVE long standing neighborhood eats! I love them even more when they have a counter - and all of the characters that sit at them! Myself included. First time in so I had the name sake omelette-come hungry-you are going to get a plate full! 4 eggs to their omelettes! Then there was a side of biscuits and gravy! This is my favorite neighborhood spot. Everything's reasonable. They have an early bird breakfast that cost no more than eight dollars on average you could spend seven dollars for full breakfast. The eight dollar early bird breakfast is a waffle combo and again I always bring food home they have everything you can possibly manage also, one of the things that I really love about this place is sometimes you end up ordering two breakfast you'll get the early bird breakfast but then there's a special and there's like three or four items on the special and they're always unique, always really well-made. There are some items that don't show up on the menu but there are customer favorites like the chili omelette so I highly recommend this place. They do close at about two or 230. They're open in the morning though nice and early at about seven I wanna say it's either 630 or seven I believe it's seven and they're always friendly. It's a really nice local spot. They have like specialty items if you're looking for grits on the sausages are good they have linguica chorizo and other sausages. They do phenomenal job with pancakes, different types of pancakes. They had a pumpkin apple combo up earlier this week. That was really good so it's another one of those spots that I found by accident and hey, you know I have never had any regrets my meals whether it's breakfast or lunch I've always been great.. read more

Very happy that I gave a chance to try the chilaquiles! Layers were really tasty, from smoky beans on the bottom to the eggs on the top! Definitely recommended when it is on the specials board! Horrible experience, had my food ordered through Door Dash, I specifically asked for no bell peppers and the bell peppers and onions on there were raw, not even cooked. I also ordered a site order of gravy that never came with it. I asked for cheddar cheese and instead they put American sliced cheese over the potatoes instead. The food was gross, not good. I also ordered a waffle for my girlfriend that was cold, burnt that came with no butter or syrup. Hubby and I are a bit restaurant service fanatics too. Price was the best too as we had to leave behind a restaurant due to its closure. Price is actually better. Our breakfast was under $40 Breakfast highest meal on menu was $12.50. I had the pork chops SO GOOD TENDER He had basic eggs and crispy bacon. They said we don't have hash browns but home potatoes. I was disappointed to hear so we had no choice but to order them and Omgosh a little too tender inside but crispy on outside better than the shredded hash browns for sure the home potatoes we delicious and was so happy! Yesterday morning my boyfriend and I stopped in to try this place out after going through reviews, the outside isn't much, but the inside is popping! They have amazing artwork throughout for sale, the restaurant was packed and you can seat yourself, we of course chose the window seat, yea we're romantic like that. ;-) And immediately we were greeted by a sweet and bubbly server! I ordered a glass of OJ and The Corn Beef Hash Scramble. The country potatoes were nothing like I had ever had, different in a good way! The flavor of the corn beef itself was missing in the scramble so I asked for a side of salsa and poured it over the hash to give it a bit more oomf. The portion on the other hand was great for under $8, I had leftovers! I am not sure where they get their orange juice, but I want it at home, wish I ordered a large, it was delicious, sweet and very flavorful and under $2! I would recommend this location for the best price in town, for less than $8 you cannot beat the price and their early bird specials available until 8:30 AM are amazing as well! Tell me were else can you get a full breakfast for less than $5? I tried a bite of my boyfriend's Corn Beef Hash & Eggs and it was incredibly flavorful and not to mention delicious, so I would suggest ordering that instead of the scramble! I really love this little breakfast and lunch cafe. Very old school. Service is normally outstanding. They are right on coffee refills, though i think the coffee could be a little better tasting.
