The restaurant is fabulous there is a wait time but they text you when your tables ready and you have to arrive within 10 minutes which is nice. Our waitress was Nicole K she was awesome. She explained the menu helped us find choices that would work for us. There were items that are not listed on the menu that she suggested for a meat lover pizza. The dough is perfect. Awe....some!!! We ordered wood fired artichokes, they are a bit small, but the way they are Cooked and the pesto aoli...perfect! I had the arugala salad with goat cheese and candied nuts, also perfect. My Son and I shared the Ms piggy( perfect description of me while eating here...) And the crust may have been the best crust I've ever had! My daughter got the spaghetti Bolognese and this was my favorite of everything, but literally everything was so fresh, and perfectly done. Such a gem in Flagstaff! Our waitress, Val, was new but great! From the front door coming in to leaving everyone was very friendly and informative. Obviously proud of being a NPV restaurant, one of only four in Arizona! So the pizza is truly authentic Neapolitan! We started off with the roasted vegetable platter which was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were perfectly al denote with a little char flavoring that was just fabulous. My husband had a small Caesar salad and a Margherita pizza which was just like being back in Italy. To top it off both his items were on the happy hour menu so basically full size but half price. Excellent Neapolitan pizza! Keep in mind one pizza is barely enough for a healthy adult, so it does get expensive. However, there's really no substitute for this type of pizza being done the right way. Perhaps one of the most universally delicious foods. read more

What a gem in Flagstaff! My sister recommended this place and it exceeded our expectations! The service is wonderful and very efficient. The food was delicious and can see why it was featured on DDD. First of all, the burrata appetizer is unusual but a must-have. We ordered three pizzas and all three were wonderful but the highlight was the marmalade pizza. This is a casual, though fun, bustling atmosphere. We arrived around 5pm thinking we were early for the dinner crowd. Apparently it's happy hour every night. They told us 45 min wait, but we were willing because of what we've heard. I got a text after 10-15 minutes that our table was ready! The bummer is there's not a lot of room to wait. So we're a bit cautious dining here with our 6 year old son, who has a hard time sitting still. Turns out to be a great place for kids and families. And you can sit at the pizza bar, which we did. I was a little bummed about it at first, but that kept our son entertained for a good bit. Server was attentive even though it was very busy, and we were served drinks and food pretty quickly. We were surprised by how quickly our food came out! We got 3 pizzas and one salad. Everything, even the cheese pizza for our son, was delicious. The dessert calzone was amazing. Had a delicious meal with friends here as we were passing through town. It was Friday of Valentines weekend so reservations was not an option however we were able to walk in. We waited about an hour, which I don't think is bad considering the weekend. I had the rigatoni and it was great. Service was great as well. This is worth a visit. read more

We celebrated my brothers birthday at Fat Olives 9-7-23. Excellent experience. Great service and great food. My favorite apps were the bacon marmalade bruschetta and the roasted artichokes. Food was pretty good but not anything to write home about. It was busy so service was average. Prices were great though. We left full and happy which is why I gave four stars. Both pizzas we ordered were way undercooked, we should have asked to get it cooked a little longer. The chocolate mousse was bomb though! This is a great place! First time to Fat Olives last night. Sydney was our server and she was awesome! She walked us through everything. Made some great recommends and was very happy and nice and attentive. She is a rockstar. Let her know! Had some appetIzer salads and ordered two pies. The ms piggy and the Belgio dolce. Both were great but I was partial to the ms piggy. So light and flavorful. I crushed that whole thing before my wife knocked down two slices of her dolce!! The pastas on the neighboring tables looked awesome so we will definitely work this joint into our regular Flagstaff dining rotation! Five star atmosphere, four star service, three star food. This place is worth a stop. Lacto-vegetarian options available - mushroom pizza. Sprouts had a cream sauce. Totally awesome pizza oven. Watching the team work the pizza line was entertaining and fun. Pizza was light on toppings heavy on cheese. Very thin crust. Sauce on the sweeter side. Wine selection decent - NZ sauvignon blanc was excellent - but could be improved with the addition of some Texan and Arizonan vintages. read more

I wish I live in flagstaff or they have another location in the valley cause I would go a lot. Just as a heads up, if you go here it is very very crowded and reservations are advised beforehand. I, myself have been here plenty of times as well as my husband. My friends and I went here for a bachelorette & we all finished our food including crumbs so that says a lot already. I've been coming here since many years ago maybe like since 2013! We had the Belgic Dolce, Ms. Piggy, Pepperoni pizza, several salads and the most interesting s'mores pizza hahahaha! There was more we ordered too! I had margarita! Omg it was sooooo delicious!! I loved it so much! I wish I could go every other day. After a long day driving from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon with 5 picky eaters I decided to make it easy and stop for pizza. My nephews are typical kids pizza with pepperoni is the way to their soul. We did have a large group so I expected to have a wait. Much to our luck we didn't have to wait at all. Our table was split into two groups which was fine. We sat most of the kids in one table with 1 adult and the other 3 adults with 2 other of the kids. We had arrived during happy hour which gave us the opportunity to try other things on the menu without having big portions and paying full price. The food wasn't okay. Nothing horrible but nothing to rave about. The kids enjoyed it. My only issue was the service and lack of professionalism from the staff. Our waitress was very short and ignored some of the adults orders. We felt a bit of tension from the staff towards our group. read more

I base all my reviews on ALL my experiences. I don't base it on location (for example I wouldn't give a mediocre Mexican restaurant 5 stars in North Carolina and 2 stars in San Diego) so I'm basing my reviews on all the Italian places I've ate and the pizza places I've ate before. The pizza here was just "meh". We had the sausage with ricotta cheese and a cheese for the kids. None of the flavors stood out. Sauce was bland, dough was okay, sausage had no spices/flavor. I would say 3 stars. Just okay. Also had the spaghetti and meatballs and this also was a bit disappointing. Meat ball didn't have too much flavor. Imagine a rolled up hamburger meat ball boiled in water. Spaghetti sauce tasted like it was out of a can. Not freshly made. Noodles are noodles. Also would rate this a 3 stars. Wife had lasagne and she said it was a 4. Definitely the best out of all the choices but to me it was a 3.5 at best. I've had better. Nothing in the lasagne said "home made". We ordered the s'mores pizza for dessert in hopes to save the night and bump this review up to a 4 star. But I'm not a chocolate lover and over all it was okay. Kids ate it as well and they weren't overly excited about it either. After seeing 1,000+ reviews and a 4.5 star rating, I think we just had our expectations high for this place and compared it to other 4+ star places we have been. This might be a 4.5 star restaurant for this location, but overall I would say it's just a decent place to eat. We will be here all week and won't be coming back. Hoping to find a different hidden gem in this area. read more

We had a really nice meal here, while visiting the North Pole. We had reservations, which I highly recommend because the place was extremely crowded. The service started of extremely slow, we waited about a solid 15 min before we had our drink order taken, no water either. However, once that hurdle was over services was fine. We had three pizzas and a salad, all really good. One pizza, they warned us was extremely spicy, however it had no spice at all. The white pizza with brussel sprouts and pistachios was really good. We also ordered a couple tiramisu and they weren't typical tiramisu but very light , not sweet and actually I really enjoyed it. The food came out so fast, we were in and out within an hour! I won't lie- I love Fat Olives. I've never had anything but a quality meal with good service there. My husband and I went and got a specialty pizza only being served this month- the Satchmo's pizza, which is a collaboration pizza with a local BBQ joint called Satchmo's. It had smoked brisket, sweet BBQ sauce, mozzarella, grilled onions, red onions, and cilantro. We killed the whole pizza in one sitting and barely touched my usual favorite- the margherita pizza- so I'm getting a great dinner of leftovers tonight. Food was ok. Not as much flavor as I hoped in the bolognese or fettuccine but the pesto was pretty good. We got take out and were kinda bummed they didn't offer a side salad or garlic bread with the dinners for the price. Salad doesn't cost hardly a thing and it makes a meal more complete. As does a little garlic bread. I'm gonna sound like an old lady but they need different bags for the to-go containers! Round containers in too small a paper bag just made them tip on their side and all the juice ran out of the bolognese which created an issue for the poor hostess. Not sure if they've been open long but maybe they'll work out some of their kinks with more time. read more
