We are in town from Houston, we needed to kill time while we were waiting for our hotel room to get ready. Fat Pats kept popping up as a suggestion so we thought why not? I ordered the Fried Catfish. Initially it looked good, food was hot and seasoned. But after a couple of bites I realized that it was completely undercooked. The mustard binder was so overpowering and the batter was raw. Horrible combination. Some of my fries were cooked and some were raw. Suggestion- adjust grease temperature and cook food all the way and ease up on the mustarbinder. read more

All of the bar stools were taken, so I sat at a table in the bar area so that I could see the tvs. Staff walked past, no greeting or acknowledgment. Later, the party at the bar left. Went Sunday after church, we had a table of 15, we came in at 12 and asked for a large table, but most party wouldn't be there until 12:30. They put table together and we sat. Ordered, when food came out, it was really small portions, maybe it was the lunch portion, food was okay. I had the tuna salad which came out and was not made how the menu described it. It was made entirely out of iceberg lettuce instead of cabbage and spring mix. Pretty disappointing, and I had very little tuna. Like I said we had a table for 15 and everyone needing things, getting my salad remade was just going to be time waisted, our party was there from about 12:30 to almost 2pm.. so food took a really long time. Didn't ask waitress about salad as I was starving by the time my food got there, I just didn't want to wait for it. So I only ate the tuna and my husbands fries. read more

I stopped in here for a late lunch on Sunday. We were seated right away. We ordered the Ultimate Nachos to share and asked for the jalapeños on the side with a combo mix of beef, chicken and pulled pork. Overall the Nachos were huge and good, but the beef was frustratingly small crumbles and the chicken was large dried pieces. If I ordered it again, I would get it with just the Pulled Pork. For dessert we got a Vanilla Shake and a Peanut Butter Chocolate Shake. Both were good, but I especially liked the Peanut Butter Chocolate which was made with real peanut butter. I would eat here again to try more things on the menu, but I would request a table with chairs to avoid the uncomfortable wooden booths. read more

Sorry I could not give half star. My Daughters hot dog was not cooked. Straight out of the package. My wife's expensive hamburger was made from a frozen meat patty. My catfish platter was recommended by the waitress and was so over cooked it cracked when picked up. All fries was recooked and seemed rubbery. Was in LC for the weekend and wanted to catch the LSU girls game. Some friends suggested we go here so I figured why not. It's a very nice place inside and out, nice and clean place and easy to read menus. A friend of mine had the fried pickles but she quickly sent them back as they weren't thoroughly breaded. I tried them as well and I felt the same way. I came across the 2 for 1 menu and ordered the mimosas. Nice presentation and nice bartender, but the pours were very weak. We all got 3 different kinds of drinks to see what would be the best. All of them were weak drinks and watered down, not sure if this was normal for them, but I most likely won't be back. read more

One young lady had recently dealt with a rough customer so her coworker gave her a hug and they keep smiling! I love when workplaces are healthy & supportive. They made great suggestions and I ordered what they said: wings and the burger. Both were tasty. The seasoned fries were also decent. It took about 10-15 minutes for the order and that's with them being fairly busy. If I had to grab a quick bite again, I'd return. read more

i was otw home from a vacation in galveston when we came across this place. initially, i looked at the reviews and noticed the relatively low rating, and i don't normally eat at low-rated restaurants, but i gave it a chance. the restaurant's outward appearance reminded me a lot of the magnolia grille in columbia ms, which i did like. it's also a very sports-focused venue (doy). because we passed through on a weekday, it wasn't extremely busy. but that also meant that we were seated relatively quickly, which was nice. we had dominic as our server, and he was a pleasure to have. we then ordered and then waited; the reviews complaining about the time were pretty valid. it did take like 15 minutes, but not overtly "forever" (looking at you, keith d.). when it arrive though, everything was perfect and nothing was cold (dammit keith). i reallt enjoyed my experience here, and want to thank dominic for being an amazing server (btw if you're reading this congrats on the baby ) read more

A coworker and I went to Fat Pat's for lunch. This was my second time dining at this location (both times for lunch). Last time I visited it wasn't the best experience, but I believe in giving restaurants a second chance. The food and the service were awful. I ordered the Mile High Burger (grilled bell peppers, grilled onion, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, pickle, & pat's sauce) with fries for $14.00. The burger patty was dry and over cooked. The fries were cold, over cooked, dry, and looked like they had been sitting for a while. I was annoyed that I could not get my server or any other servers' attention to see if I could get something else. Our server NEVER checked came back to check on us (20 minutes later) until she brough out the check. At that point, I notified her of the dry burger which I had only eaten 1/4 of and cold fries which I could not eat any of. Her response "I'm so sorry". Never offered me a replacement meal or never offered to remove it from my check. I've had better burgers and fries from Burger King and McDonalds. I will NEVER eat at this location again. The service and the food are below average. This place does not believe in taking care of the customer and I do not recommend this location. read more

The food is not good well I only had the nachos and patty melt . the nachos are expensive and not worth it I can make better at home they are dry no seasoning and very little meat n cheese which also got cold n I had to ask for some more hot cheese the patty melt is greasy no flavor n the fries where cold no seasoning n soft they need to fire the cook . I came here opening day because I had eaten at the store in Carencro and was very impressed. Opening day had all the usual flubs and misfires, but was plenty good to warrant a return trip. Next trip was with wife. She was happy, so I am back today. July 25, 2022. Not happy. The ONE sandwich I liked is nowhere to be found. They've got a. cute little burrito wannabe called a wrap with fried pork tenderloin, but no sandwich. This is also my first time ordering iced tea here. The chicken wrap was delicious. It was better than I expected. Our waitress was nice and checked on us often. My wife and I ate at Fat Pat's having hamburgers with french fries and onion rings. The metal serving tray (plate) was too small (I guess to make the little burger seem larger than it was), our burgers were not juicy, the fries were crinkle cut and a little warmer than room temperature, the onion rings were a bit on the burned side, and overall not a good value for the price we paid. We were actually looking forward to trying this place out. They have some games and stuff to do besides eat, but that's all that was good about the place. Hubby and I each got a burger. We got onion rings with his and just the regular seasoned fries with mine. I got the peanut butter bacon burger and he got the mile high burger. When we arrived it wasn't busy at all. We got our food within 5 minutes of ordering. This indicated to us that the meat patties were already cooked and not fresh. We were right. Not only that, the buns had hard chunks that we just tore off. His burger was missing pickles and the waitress brought them. However, she actually tried to charge us for them. It was taken off. The onion rings are not homemade. They are the kind you get from the frozen food section at the grocery store and not the good ones. Zero flavor and the first batch was cold. The second batch was overcooked. My "seasoned" fries had zero seasoning on them, but I added it myself, and then they were fine. My burger had the thinnest amount of peanut butter on it. All you could taste was the bacon and overcooked, not fresh meat patty. Seriously, the patty was dry and tasted like it had been cooked the day before. I did ask for more peanut butter and got it. Surprisingly, she didn't try to charge us for that. I will say the combo of peanut butter, bacon, and hamburger patty was good. I will definitely be making one at home. We will definitely not be going back there. Quite frankly, a McDonald's burger is 100% better than theirs. Overpriced for nasty food. read more

At that same time another family was seated next to us. 15 more minutes passed by and then the family next to us was served their food even thought we had ordered 45 minutes before they were even seated. I flagged down my waitress but she went straight to what I guess was her manager and must of told her the situation but the manager shrugged like she didnt know anything. After about 10 seconds of them talking and not coming over to our table to explain anything I told them not to worry about it and we left. I went with a buddy of mine. We ordered spinach dip and chip appetizer. Pretty good. I ordered grilled fish with corn, he ordered fried fish with onion rings. The grilled fish was good, but the teriyaki sauce on top, wasn't a good choice. Would have rather had a butter sauce, but you don't get a choice. My buddy's fried fish and onion rings were both breaded, not fresh fish. Didn't think it would be frozen food and just fried. Service was excellent. The bartenders were excellent too. I wouldn't go here for the food at all, maybe to hang out to drink, or see the bartenders, but not to eat. And the price is kinda high for the type of food that is served. read more
