Conveniently located next to the hotsy totsy this taco truck has won awards and they deserved even more flowers. The ambience it's pretty welcoming as you can see the nice ladies helping those that have questions and also welcome back regular customers. They accept cash and card. I was surprised there was no line as my friend mentioned there can be a line and the price of the taco. I ordered 3 tacos- carne asada, carnitas and language from the lady. She asked if I wanted everything on it so I said yes. She also asked if I was paying cash or card. Guess it would cost more with card. Tacos came out fast on a paper plate. The lady asked if I wanted salsa, I said yes. She gave me what I think is a salsa verde. I had taken the tacos to go eat at home. I noticed that the tacos came with a lemon instead of a lime. The tacos all had onions, parsley and maybe some salsa on top. The radishes were dry. The lengua seemed to have the most flavor than the other two. The carnitas had a couple dry pieces of meat but with some added salsa it was better. The carne asada was fine, could have a little more flavor. This taco truck will not break your wallet.

We had them steamed, fried, and fiery, and they were all amazing. The chatamari (or "Nepalese pizza") and curry were amazing as well. We ate inside a covered dining area that was nice and warm from the heat lamp, despite it being 52ºF outside. The guys in the truck were super friendly. You can't go wrong eating here. Everything was full of flavor and delicious.

It's taken me a minute to get here and was pleasantly suprised. It's essentials a lot with some parking ample space to sit and eat and there is another food stall as well as the Momo food truck, which only serves momo. If you want to try other Nepali dishes go over to the food stand his brother runs. I ordered my C- Chicken Momo, which is made fresh because they give you a little vibrating tag which lets you know when it is ready. I also got some buff (as in water buffalo) skewura (skewers) I had my pupster with me, so it's a dog friend place cuz it's outdoor seating, so I took it home. Oh my the c- momos was so good (they ask you spice level) I took mine to Nepali medium, the buff skewurs were so good and served on puffed rice with slices of cumber and a hot sauce. I definitely will be back, because they have a Newari dish called Barra, which I will be getting. The Nepali people are very nice as well. So if you have spent time in Nepal and missing the food, try this place.

However I decided to go ahead and place an order. The employees aren't that friendly at first, I didn't even get a hello walking up and took them over five minutes to greet me when I was the only person at the truck. When I was finally asked if I was ready to order, employees were nice. I sat while waiting for my order because they have a cute eating area if you wanted to sit and enjoy your food there. They have two picnic tables under heat lamps with a few wine barrels for standing. Nice little set up. Food was hot and surprisingly delicious. Full of flavor, saucy and fresh... the reason why my food took over 15 to receive. It was totally ok with me that I waited so long because it was that good and so worth it. Overall, don't be afraid of what this truck looks like because looks are deceiving!!

The momos were good and the sauces that came with everything was also great. The spicy red sauce definitely has a kick! Location is a bit strange, it's in a parking lot with a small eating area. The employees brought out games for the area to use, such as cornhole and jenga. Everyone who worked there was super nice and talked to us about the food and Nepal. Food was brought out to us at our table which was a bit unexpected for a food truck. Price and quantity was typical for a food truck. With the service and delicious food this is a must stop if you're in El Cerrito or driving through the area as we were going up to Tahoe. I have also seen them pop up elsewhere around the bay but this seems like a permanent spot for them. Overall: 4.7/5

We've seen the…read moreLoaded Chickn food truck before, usually coupled with long lines of people waiting to place an order, I naturally assumed the food must be worth the wait. On Friday we decided to give it a try. Honestly we both were hoping to order the Chicken Fried Rice but unfortunately they were completely sold out. So we opted for the Cajun Chicken tenders and fries as well as the Mango Habanero chicken wings and fries. It took about 25 minutes for our order to be completed. We were extremely pressed for time so we literally grabbed our food and left. In hindsight the time was extremely reasonable as that's how long it takes for your food to be prepared. In other words our food was made to order and not previously prepared. Let me just say the Mango Habanero wings were delicious! They were generously sauced with the right about of crispness. I found them to be flavorful and abundant. My order came with about 10 wings, fries and sauce. The sauces did not come with a lid, I was t too thrilled about that. As for the tenders, they were large, well seasoned with a dry rub, crispy and juicy. It's two days later and I am STILL thinking about my food which is a great sign. If you're in a rush, it will take a while for your food to be prepared and because the food is excellent know you will have to stand in quite a line. I would highly recommend if you enjoy chicken as there are several options to choose from. I most definitely will be returning!

Additionally, it's right in front of a noisy tire repair shop, so plan to take this food to go. With that said, the food was great! The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and they have plenty of sauce options. The fries were pretty basic, but nothing too special. My biggest complaint was the speed of the service. It took about 20+ minutes for our order to be ready, and we were the only customers the whole time we were there. The chicken was fresh, but it was far too hot to eat and I actually found that it tasted much better after sitting out for 20-30 minutes. Not sure how they can improve this, but that's how I felt.

I think the problem is that I couldn't get past the lack of a restroom in the area. They had some portables, but they are making food and we are supposed to eat it. Where are they washing their hands? This area is also pretty cold so if you go, make sure that you have a coat, scarf and hat. I'll never make that mistake again. But because of the cold, I didn't want to eat outside so our food got a cold, but it was good. My husband liked the food he got, but gluten free options are super limited. They get a third star because of the bar! Now there was only one person working there and that's fine because he could go get a snack or something and come back to pour drinks, but again. The restroom issue. Where does he wash his hands, what if he has a cold and sneezes into them, and so on. That's where my mind went. The vendors are quite nice and were helpful and weren't mean when they answered my GF questions and I appreciate that. So, this is like the little engine that could. I can see that it is a gathering spot for people and they have music and speakers which is cool. So I saw and felt a community vibe and people really seemed to like going. If I lived in the area, I may try it a bit more, but in all honestly, Oakland Museum's Off the Grid event is everything I wish this was. I'm sure that they will get there, but don't want to hang out while they figure it out.
