Was looking for a sweet treat in Berkeley and this place was nearby so here I am. I ordered two scoops. I had 1 scoop of cookies and cream and 1 scoop of coffee and cream in a cup. I wanted it in a waffle cone but sadly the ran out of it when I arrived :(. Anyways... the ice cream was really creamy and the scoops were pretty generous. That being said, I'd definitely would slide thru again. Try it out if you like. :)

Came across this ice cream shop as we were walking around in the area. We got two orders each with two scoops. One in the waffle cone with passion fruit and vanilla bean and the other one in a cup with coffee and cream brûlée flavor. All the flavors were so yummy and the texture was so creamy. There are some seatings in the outside to grab. I highly recommend this place.

We popped in here on a total whim, like *five minutes* before closing--sorry, dude! I'm pretty sure the guy was counting down the seconds to go home, but he was super chill and patient even after the doors should've been locked. Plus, their cakes look *next-level* amazing! The ice cream? So good! The flavors are super unique and rich. And the scoops? Massive. I couldn't even finish mine, which is a rare feat. But I love that you can mix two flavors in one scoop because, honestly, I couldn't pick just one. I'll definitely be back for my sweet tooth fix. This place knows how to do ice cream right!

I have not been to this location ever since it used to be Noble Cow Creamery. Fortunately, iScream is so much better! They don't offer a great number of flavor options, however the flavors they do serve are very intriguing! They had a banana oreo flavor that seemed very interesting and I'll definitely try it next time if available. The consistency of the ice cream was very similar to gelato which I appreciate so much. Two scoops of ice cream was the perfect amount for me without feeling overwhelmed (with two scoops, you are able to choose two flavors). Service was great and to the point, and the inside of the store appeared to be very clean and tidy. I'll be back at this spot for dessert anytime I dine in around the area.

While the service was friendly and helpful during my visit, in my opinion the mint chip ice cream flavor was a problem. To start with, it wasn't fully frozen and had a sporadic icicle crunch - odd for freshly scooped ice cream. My scoop also had a sharp chemical taste to it that made me think the flavor was achieved by adding in spearmint extract and not by soaking the milk in mint leaves. Once eaten with the accompanying waffle cone the chemical taste of the ice cream became overpowering. If too much extract were added in (which is what I think happened here), the higher content of the alcohol in the extract would lower the freezing point of the dessert, resulting in a more liquid batch accompanied by an icicle rich texture. iScream is a small business that carries only a few flavors so I'm surprised it wasn't caught when they had trouble keeping the batch frozen and it wasn't discovered during taste testing and pulled. Either way, I just don't think the iScream brand is for me and I'll probably be sticking with my local Handels and Gio Gelati.

creme brûlée and dark chocolate ice cream with complementary waffle cone pieces
    Ting C.

Passed by while taking a walk down Fourth Street and decided to get some ice cream. I got a scoop of crème brûlée and my boyfriend got a scoop of dark chocolate. The ice cream is so rich and delicious. The crème brûlée ice cream actually tastes like crème brûlée. You'd be surprised how that's not the case at some places (looking at you, boba spots... puff cream is not crème brûlée). The triangle piece of waffle cone that's complementary with every cup complemented the flavors of the ice cream perfectly.

Best ice cream place in Berkeley!! The ice cream is delicious! You can tell it's always made fresh! The staff is always friendly too.

    Mint and blueberry ice cream
    Stephanie Y.

The ice cream is organic, rich and oh so creamy. A small scoop suffices. I went with the mint chip and the mint was so pronounced and refreshing. Enjoyed it. At least the day I went flavors were on the plain side: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, blueberry, cookies & cream and mint chip. Put some chocolate chunks in that strawberry, or real pops of blueberries in the blueberry; give me something a little sexy. I also love me a cone, but they only offer a rather large waffle one, which is a meal in itself. I would have loved a small sugar or wafer cone to keep it a bit more manageable. Overall, incredible decadent ice cream offering up fresh and simple flavors. Outside had a few tables and chairs and being on 4th street is oh so lovely.

Lavender, green tea, chocolate chip/cookies and cream

Ice cream was a good sweet treat to have after dinner. The lavender paired very well with the green tea and both had great flavors! The ice cream spot is very cute and cozy and they provide cups of water if needed. Servers are very sweet and helpful with describing some flavors me and my friends were unfamiliar with.

Superior product, perfect customer service, focus on a short list of flavors brought to peak layers. We will come again.

Great place and location. Parking can be tricky but it's doable. Lots of people everytime I go. Check for flavors on their website. The creme brulee and ginger snap weren't too sweet. We were able to snag a table inside, but seating is very limited. Outside has some tables with an overhead heater. The server was really nice and friendly. Quite comical actually. At this location they don't seem to have cake cones, if that's your thing.

Amazing ice cream cakes. Got blueberry and strawberry with chocolate wafer cookie crumble base. Beautifully decorated cake (was not expecting such fancy decorations on the cake!). Awesome communication from the staff via email about ordering and pick up. Would definitely recommend and buy again. Can't wait to celebrate another birthday in the fam with an iScream ice cream cake!!!

Equator Coffee & Cookies and Cream in a cup
    Ethan C.

We spontaneously stopped by here while shopping in the fourth street area; could not resist ice cream on a hot summer afternoon! We got two scoops in a cup: the Equator Coffee and Cookies and Cream. Both were not overly creamy or sweet, and had a buttery smooth texture that glided effortlessly down my mouth. The Equator Coffee tasted like real brewed coffee latte, none of that artificial or fake-tasting coffee ice cream from the grocery store. The cookies and cream had big chunks of scrumptious cookies majestically intertwined and married into swirls of vanilla ice cream -- so delicious! The worker who helped us was very nice as well, asking us if we wanted two samples and an extra spoon and waffle piece when she noticed we were going to share a cup. We also sampled the grapefruit sorbet, which tasted like real grapefruit and is a unique flavor that you don't come by often. Will definitely be coming back again to get that as a full scoop!

Gadani was highly rated, nuff said. It's got a nice interior, but most shops these days do. First thoughts are they are running a Fanloli in there, lots of cutesy stuff for sale, not common for coffeeshops, but I was excited for a banana mocha latte or honestly whatever that has banana in it, I'm all for that but it was sold out, big bummer. Second thoughts are I hate the kiosk ordering, I had to dig around for that disappointing news, tbh I feel like this kiosk nonsense just means whoever is back there gets more time doom scrolling but call me out for not loving the end of human interactions. Third thought was this is taking awhile, took about 10 minutes to get a milk tea which is a little crazy when no one else is there. Case in point for second thought because anywhere else it would half the time, are they making bead necklaces into the back? Fourth thought was when my wife said her milk tea tasted like water, which I tried and said yep it does, then she asked me if mine was bad, because I had the same order only hot, which I said, "yes it does taste like water, how did you know," to which we both say collectively, "fucking Berkeley." Normally id leave it there, but then I realized that the cup was spilling on me constantly and it actually wasn't me, the top wouldnt close so I was spilling the milk tea flavored water all over my sweater because their cups don't close properly. Listen, it wasn't a nice sweater but comon, insult to injury in a time of failure, people come to places like this to get a night cap, especially in a world where nobody young drinks. How the hell is this top of the mark, is it the ice cream? If it's the ice cream, I'm glad, because otherwise I think y'all are crazy. All that and parking was $20 bucks. The only issue is there's no clear menu posted online, so we walked in completely blind. Their website shows a long list of flavors but not what they actually have that day, so it felt like a guessing game. The line moved really slow because there was only one employee handling everything. She was taking orders, giving samples, answering questions, and ringing people up all at once. She was super friendly and doing her best, but it felt like a lot for one person during a rush and the shop could definitely use more help. The space is really small and tight so it was hard to even see the flavors until we got close to the front. When we finally got up there, a lot of the tubs were already empty which was confusing since most ice cream shops restock. Some flavors I wanted weren't available anymore, and if they're out it would make more sense to just remove them from display. The dirty containers didn't make sense to display. I sampled the jasmine green tea and knew right away I wanted it. It was creamy with a smooth tea flavor that wasn't overpowering. I got a small with half jasmine green tea and half avocado. The avocado was surprisingly really good, super creamy and tasted like a fresh avocado smoothie. Both flavors weren't overly sweet which I liked. My husband wanted cookies and cream but it was sold out so he got chocolate chip instead, which was solid and creamy with good texture. Overall the ice cream itself was good, not the best I've had but definitely not bad. I like that the flavors lean more natural and not overly sweet. I could see myself coming back if I'm in the area, but the experience would be a lot better with faster service and more consistency with what's actually available.
