Stoner food done badly, gimmicky, bland, overpriced -- their fat sandwiches basically suck. Between the bread just brown and fried things, all which taste the same, completely one-dimensional. And whichever sauce you choose gets lost in it. It's lacking the necessary fresh toppings and meats that give a proper sandwich flavor. Very disappointing. The place itself is void of atmosphere, boring, with nothing to draw you in. Their staff add nothing to the experience. Just blahh. Like fast food minus the customers and workers. The only draw? Booze...Oh, and their wings. They were cooked right -- crispy outside, tender inside -- and tasty tossed in that Golden BBQ sauce. Plus they are 50% off on Sundays. And yet the wings feel like an afterthought here, like they just needed one more thing to keep the fryers going. I just don't get this concept. So new and yet it's already a ghost town in here. And the few diners that do come in hover over their food with their head down, like they're ashamed to even be seen here. Thought it was gonna be really good. Didn't make it through half of my sandwich. Everything on it tastes like it's been reheated or something. It tastes old and stale. Almost no flavor at all. Even the marinara sauce on it was gross. Super disappointed. They've got chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and Oreo milkshakes on the menu as well but they only have chocolate. My boyfriend ordered the fat cow and he says his was fine, maybe I just got a bad one. They were really nice about giving me a refund for my sandwich though. Very professional. read more

Family and I tried it tonight. Wasn't impressed. Wasn't horrible but I expected more. I tried the Fat Jersey. Cheesesteak didn't have much flavor. Nothing really stood out. Wife had the Fat Slob and she felt the same about the Cheesesteak and one daughter had the Fat Cow. Again, all felt it was just average. Other daughter had wings. Lemon Pepper wasn't good but she really like the Mango Habanero. French fries did have a good flavor and the fried desserts are like at the fair, which is actually meant in a good way. I will say the girl working was by herself and was doing a great job managing to take orders and cook with no help. We were wildly underwhelmed with this place. I've had multiple people tell me it was really good but looking at the menu that seems to be various fried things on top of a cheesesteak, I didn't go in with high expectations to begin with but tried to go in with an open mind. The staff was less than friendly, the food was lukewarm which was weird considering we watched them making it in the kitchen. Everything was bland and had no flavor. The cook in the back changed their gloves and proceed to put one of the gloves in their mouth to hold it while they put on the other one. I have been to this restaurant 3 times and it never fails to be below mid. Here is a list of what I have ordered: 1. Fat Doobie- rating (2/10) 2. The Classic Burger- rating (6/10) 2. Wings- (4/10) After I tried the wings today I felt the need to let it be known that this place is mid. The lemon peppy's had a colossal amount of seasoning that made my mouth feel like the Sahara Desert. The mango habby's were a tad better and were doused in sauce. The food here shouldn't even be legal. This is seriously the worst crap I have ever eaten in my life. I'd rather eat cat food than anything from here ever again. I got a burger and couldn't even taste the meat, the cheese just overpowers it and there is no seasoning even though they supposedly have burger seasoning. My bf got a Philly and the cheese overpowered his sandwich as well. Neither of us could get half way through our meal. It was absolutely atrocious. Close to campus corner and a great place for stuffing yourself silly. The menu has something for just about anyone. Prices are reasonable and plenty of value for the customer. Sandwiches and burgers with sides are big enough that no one will leave with a full belly. Great staff as well. read more

3.5 Stars. Wanted to try something new on campus with friends yesterday and decided on Fat Shack. Immediate reaction was good when entering, the interior seemed newly renovated or at least very clean and nice. However, I was disappointed in the service of the employee that took my order at the counter. They seemed quite annoyed to be taking my order and to answer my question about the price of their wings. They could've been having a bad day, but I am always kind to people who work in food service as I know how hard it can really be so I felt it very unnecessary to treat me and my friends in that way. I ended up ordering the lemon pepper boneless wings(they ended up more like chicken tenders) with ranch and a fountain drink. The total was quite high at $13. The man who brought out our food was nothing like the server who took our order, and was very nice. My food turned out better than I expected for something so simple. The 'wings' were quite large and had a dry seasoning that made it really good. Everything was cooked well, and my friends also enjoyed their food. Without my initial problem with the service, I would give 4 stars. Although the employee wasn't completely disrespectful and the food came out right, I'll still have to give 3.5 in all fairness. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'm not a picky person, however, if the food is bad enough to leave a review, I feel obliged to, and here I am. Please trust my words. Here's my experience; for starters, the cashier seemed completely out of it, which is fine but i guess it adds to what else I'm about to tell you. The food was extremely bland (no seasoning AT ALL). It tasted like the food was bought separately at a Sam's club and deep fried. The bread was so dry that not even Sprite could change that. 2/3 of our orders were incorrect. The only one that was right was chicken strips and fries. The other two sandwiches were missing some of the stuff (like the mac n cheese and mozzarella sticks ) it came with. We thought maybe it was just a bad night until we saw people next to us just as confused and looking around as if their order was incorrect. Then a few minutes passed, and ANOTHER family came in and was examining the food and was looking around as well. Super weird. I thought maybe they could redeem themselves if I ordered deep fried Oreos. Well, I was wrong. They were chewy, soggy, and didn't even come with the chocolate sauce which they even asked if I wanted, from which I replied with yes. We decided to read other reviews and people have had even worse experiences than us. Save yourself 50$, and do not eat here. It's not worth it. Thank goodness they're open till 3am, because at least the stoners will be somewhat happy with their food. Well, food is decent but not really worth the price. Cost $40 for 2 single burgers, one ff and one cheese sticks. Plus ranch and a tip. Place wasn't the cleanest but not just horrible.
