    The Single Burger

In concept Fat Shack sounded amazing. All the unhealthy food you could want with some of it put together to make some sandwiches that have a calorie count higher than the GDP of some countries. In some ways it hits. The service was amazing and the food came out quickly. The restaurant was clean and has plenty of seating both high tops and lower tables. It has a Colorado sports theme and some televisions to watch games. However, unfortunately the food was not very good. The burger was okay, but the "fat sandwich" was not.given that it had fries, mozzarella sticks, Philly cheesesteak, and French fries on it I expected a flavor explosion, but it really Just tasted like reheated fries. The price was pretty high for a fast food restaurant too. TL:DR - Not as good as it sounds

These are the fried Oreos with chocolate sauce on the side. The come 3 or 5 a serving

The customer service was exemplary! You don't expect an effort to connect and an explanation of the fast food restaurant's focus and vision. He made this fast food experience uniquely pleasurable. I had a half sandwich which was more that enough. Not sure why Americans like huge portions- I am glad they had the half sandwich as an option which was tasty. The onion rings are yummy as well- next time I might just order onion rings and the fried Oreos which took you back to the carnival. I highly recommend you stop by

First time here, I wish I would have gotten the two guys names when we were in, both were very polite and professional! The gentleman who took our order suggested a couple items, I took him up on his go to burger and darn if it wasn't delicious! We also tried the Fat Shack sandwich, it was huge and delicious! We had both fries and onion rings, you really can't go wrong with either. This location was very clean!! We will definitely be back, and hope to see the same guys working so I can get their names and give them a huge shout out!

Maverick - Mac n cheese, chicken tenders, French fries X and marinara sauce

Holy Moley me, these sandwiches are insane! Super messy to eat, but very yummy. I ate half of a chicken tender, French fry, and Mac n cheese sandwich and then ate the ingredients out of the second part. Very bready, but good bread! It was soaked in marinara sauce, so I ate that later when I was hungry again. I didn't like how the fries get soggy in the sandwich, but that's no one's fault - just science. Staff was very nice and there was quite a collection of random upbeat music playing.

Student discount but we showed an id and still didn't get the discount either.

Absolutely terrible service. My family and I came in to grab lunch and the blonde man who was working was rube right off the bat as soon as we came in. I could understand not getting great service in they were busy but we were the only people in the building. When we asked if we could use the tablet on the front counter to order he said "only takes cash" and walked away. How do expect people to want to come to a place to eat and be treated as if though the employee is upset that they are there. It's no wonder places like these are going out of business if you have rude employees that dint have any common courtesy. My family and I will not be returning here. If I could give 0 stars I would. Also not super upsetting on my side of things but you should talk to employees about upselling. When my aunt tried to buy a peace tea he kept saying "are you sure? They are only small cans and are like four dollars" that was said in a rude tone but it was expected at this point. It also took forever to get our order and that makes sense because every time we would look to see what was taking so long he was on his phone. Each one of our sandwich's only had ONE tender in it as well. My brother's sandwich didn't have any onion rings in it and everyone's sandwich only had one tender in it. Very disappointing and a waste of cash.

Stopped in for a treat while waiting for an appointment. I had the deep fried chocolate chip cookies and a Oreo shake. They both tasted good. I think the deep fried cookies are worth a trip. Overall I enjoyed it. A couple things that could be improved. They have the restroom locked and when I asked for the code to use it after ordering I had to wait and then they literally escorted me and entered the secret code for me. This was totally odd in my opinion and didn't sit well from a service standpoint. The food is good but their small shake is REALLY small. I think my kids had silly cups bigger when they were little. I can't give five stars when customers are treated like some kind of infiltrator when they want to simply use the facilities and they charge pretty steep prices for such a small shake.

    Chicken Fingers

So my total came out to ten bucks for three chicken strips with a side of ranch, which they charge for of course. I thought they were gonna be very large strips like most other chicken places offer, I was surprised to see that the strips were the size of the end of a fork. Literally bite size. Like it was for a kids menu. First and last time here.

Being the first one in line and no other customers in the restaurant it took the owner and his associate 15 minutes to make my food while one of the people behind got his food first and grub hub orders were being made. At 7pm two more workers showed up and I waited still. I ordered one sandwich which is mostly gross fried foods and very little steak meat. Tasted dry with very little sauce. The owner offered a soda as to make up, but bad service is bad service. I won't be back and won't recommend this chain or store to anyone.

    Nice clean establishment

Ok so some of the reviews are putting this place way lower than I really feel it should be. Is this a five star amazing burger establishment... No! Is this the greatest fried food in the world...No! But let me break down for you why it is better than even the two/three stars a lot of people are giving it. First, we came here one day because my 10 year old wanted a burger (she lives burgers) and so we were going to go to Wendy's (a five star Wendy's) and the burger she wanted was going to be $8.49 for just the burger, make it a meal and add $2. So for a Wendy's burger we would pay over $10, may I remind you is a pathetic frozen patty with crap yucky freezer burned lettuce and tomatoe toppings and some microwave or deep fried bacon drenched in a "special" sauce to eliminate any janky fast food flavors. All this to say a FAST FOOD burger for over $10 that is pathetic. Ok let's talk Fat Shack! First the double bacon cheese burger was $7.99 (for two fresh patties) and the toppings where free and fresh with any toping you wanted and a fresh bun. It was huge and my daughter was stuffed half way through, with good tasting yummy loaded cheese and bacon. Such a better value than the Wendy's burger, might I add was rated 5 stars (what???). Ok yes, the food here is mostly fried, and it isn't fantastic, but for the amount and the quality, it by far is better than any fast food chain and deserves a better rating. It has friendly hard working staff, a clean establishment and is open late catering to anyone with midnight cravings.

We are disappointed to say the least. Ordered online and my husband went to pick it up. The food was 40 minutes late (of which half of the order sat under the lights until the rest was ready). He got it home and it was missing two of the sandwiches and one of the fries (two out of three sandwiches). Very disappointing. For the money you'd be better off going to a local joint like Clancy's. I'd tell you how the food was but I'm now making grilled cheese sandwiches for me and my daughter.

Wrong phone number. Also, ordered and received email confirmation at 12:30. The 1:25PM must be the time they are supposed to start preparing
    Lo O.

Despite the reviews, which are mostly about disorganization, I still wanted to try a burger. To help circumvent any issues, I ordered online ahead of time. Last Friday, I placed the order at 12:30PM for pick up at 1:45. Arrived at 1:48 and they had no idea what we were talking about. Their first thought was to tell us we probably ordered from the wrong location! Sadly, they just wouldn't make it right. By make it right, they should have said, "we don't see, our apologies, we can make your order ASAP." Instead they just focused on the system and showing us that they don't see the order. They needed to move on and actually fix the situation. More proof of disorganization: look at the picture of my receipt. When I called the number at the top it says it is disconnected. After looking around they got their our area code wrong! It should be 303 not 720.

This is maybe the most convoluted review I've ever written:…read moreWe were happy to get a spot here on OpenTable for Mother's Day. Fortunately, it is close to our home and the reviews looked great. When we arrived, we redirected from the main dining room to another space the restaurant owns 2 doors down. I wonder if we may have had a more attentive experience had we been in the original? The first disappointment was that our meal took 40 minutes to arrive from the time that we sat down. Our waiter consistently forgot that my husband had ordered a Diet Coke or to refill the drink when he had offered. The tables around us seemingly were served earlier, even though we all placed our orders around the same time. I ordered the Thai Pork Belly Benedict, which was absolutely delectable and definitely something write home about! And the country potatoes side was perfectly seasoned and crispy. I would absolutely go back for this, just maybe on a weekday brunch due to the wait. I thought it was extremely unique how the children's menu was plated in a muffin tin, with 6 different food choices for just $12. Great deal! My husband had a Belgian waffle topped with fruit, which was really unremarkable. Reminiscent of something that you might self-make at a hotel breakfast. Unfortunately, his waffle was cold, and he requested that they remake, which our server made sure was done in a timely manner. All in all, our meal was very reasonably priced at around $43. I just wish it hadn't been such a long wait, both to receive the initial order and for drink refills.

Checked in on us before our beers ran out and got our refills. I ordered the smash burger and my partner ordered the bistro burger. He loved the bistro burger because when I looked back at him, his burger was gone. Inhaled it. My smash burger was good, but it was way over seasoned. The patty is thinner so I wonder if they took the same approach as seasoning the regular burgers... Took off a star for that.. and the soft fries... but the tater tots, the deviled eggs, the beers, the service were all top notch. The menu has plenty of options to customize your burger, and one thing I thought was unique is that you fill out a paper order form with all of your toppings before handing it to the staff to place your order. We chose to sit on the pet-friendly patio with our dog, Luna, which was great until a surprise downpour rolled in. The patio tables have umbrellas, but they weren't enough to keep us (or our food) dry. We ended up grabbing the condiments and finishing our meal in the car instead. Obviously, the weather isn't their fault, but a little more covered seating would have been nice. I also would have loved to see Thousand Island dressing offered as a condiment--it would have been perfect on my burger. Fresh avocado as an add-on would have been another great option to take it to the next level. Overall, it's a fun, casual burger spot with good food, a dog-friendly patio, and friendly service. Two of my traveling companions insisted that our road trip could not proceed until we made a pilgrimage to the location on Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada. Because we live on the East Coast where this particular brand of fast food does not exist, they spoke of the restaurant with a quiet, holy reverence. One would think we were approaching an ancient mountain sanctuary rather than a burger joint with crisscrossed neon palm trees. The parking lot was a scene of controlled suburban chaos. Inside, the dining room was intensely clean. Young workers wearing crisp white aprons, red paper hats, and giant safety pins moved with the focused speed of emergency room nurses. Behind the counter, an employee was actively converting raw potatoes into fries with a mechanical slicer right in front of the counter. I ordered a Double Double, an order of Animal Style fries covered in "spread" and grilled onions, and a lemonade. The beef was fresh and never frozen, the lettuce was crisp, and the total cost was surprisingly reasonable. It was a very good, highly efficient lunch. This is where I must commit a mild blasphemy: I still prefer Five Guys. Somewhere in California, a true believer has just dropped his burger in absolute horror. Five Guys offers chaotic brown paper bags spilling over with greasy fries. In-N-Out offers geometric perfection, extreme order, and a secret menu that everyone on earth seems to know about. In-N-Out has mastered the art of doing a few simple things with absolute precision. I respect the machinery of it, and if I am ever passing through Arvada for some reason again, I will happily stop for another meal. I will simply leave the religious devotion to someone else.
