It was tight and inconsistent, which made it hard to enjoy from the start. I had to fight it the whole way through, and that alone takes you out of the experience. Flavor-wise, it didn't redeem itself. The profile was flat and underwhelming, with no real development. Instead of evolving, it just kind of sat there and leaned toward a harsh, dull finish. Nothing memorable, nothing that made me want to keep going. At around $28 after tax, this one felt like a miss. You expect better construction and at least some complexity at that price, and it just wasn't there. Location: Belmont Shore is always a vibe but even the lounge itself felt tired. A few recliners inside, TVs, no drinks. Getting to sit outside and people watch is the best thing about this place. Final thoughts: Bad draw, weak flavor, and not worth the price. Plenty of cheaper cigars deliver a better experience.

Fast forward to this past weekend for the USA World Cup game. We originally were planning on attending the street party that was happening on Pine Ave in downtown for the game. But when we arrived, there was a massive line just to get in. Just from the looks of it, the line didn't seemed to move and the game was starting. That's how we ended up here. The bar is just off the promenade in downtown. Clearly, there was no way we're waiting in the line for the street party. Instead, we remembered and seen this place. They too were showing the game so we walked in. There was a good amount of people on the patio area which they also had a television. Inside was a bit more mellow but it was picking up. With this bar, we got to sit down and enjoy the game with a nice cold beer. Happy hour was going on so they were having specials on drinks. Within minutes, it was starting to get packed as everyone was doing the same thing. Instead of waiting in line and the game was starting, this place was a better option. A nice open vibe bar. Plenty of seating inside as well as the outside patio which was pretty big as well. The ladies behind the bar were amazing. Busy as they were trying to take care of everything and everyone. Drink specials did sound nice but we opted for the happy hour beer. Bar area was quite roomy with communal tables as well a private table. Bar seating was great as the television was right in-front of you. The tufted leather seats, leather high top seats give it that cigar lounge. A cool spot right in the heart of downtown Long Beach. They didn't serve food but was informed that hat someone was serving classic hot dog and burger out front. Having walked in and enjoying this place, it was worth it. The pasta definitely house made, fresh and tender. The sauce was light and lemony. Lobster, cooked just right! It needs to be on the menu! My husband had the Caramelized Salmon, and he was in heaven! Our friends ordered the Penne Tuscan Chicken, and one of my favorites, Horseradish Crusted Wild Halibut. Everyone raved about their dishes! For dessert, as if we still had any room, Kazi brought out two mini cheesecakes, one with a set of candles for the anniversary couple. Perfect for a few bites! Most restaurants don't do much to recognize a special occasion, but Spaghettini goes all out! It really does keep you coming back, along with the great food and service! It was a show night and the music had just started before we left. Few places around that offer shows, dinner and a show, very rare! We love Spaghettini for all it has to offer. She is the LEAST friendly bartender I've ever met, and if you're lucky enough to go there on her shift without getting yelled at by her, good luck getting a drink in under 15 minutes. She'll be too busy hogging one of the three pool tables instead of actually doing her job. I've walked in and then walked right back out when she's working there - on more than one occasion- because she doesn't put customers first. And for whatever reason, the owner worships this clown. There are far better places to go in the area that actually have hard alcohol and are worthy of spending $8 on a beer.
