    Bruschetta
    Christina H.

Came here to celebrate my birthday and had an absolutely perfect experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with incredible hospitality and attentive service, making me feel truly special on my birthday. For our main courses, we ordered the Seafood Pasta and the Wild Mushroom Pasta, and both were absolutely delicious. The pasta noodles here are quite unique--they have a distinct, wonderful texture that holds the rich sauces beautifully. We started our meal with the Bruschetta, which was uniquely prepared with cherry tomatoes. It was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and the perfect starter to kick off the meal. With its upscale ambiance and top-notch service, this is without a doubt the ultimate spot for birthdays or any special occasion. Thank you, Spaghettini, for an unforgettable birthday dinner. I'll definitely be back soon!

If you haven't seen New Zealand guitarist & vocalist Andréa Lisa before, you have to see her perform! She's awesome!

Updated review from dinner, drinks, and live entertainment on 5/22/26 (5pm-9pm) featuring Andréa Lisa's 7pm performance. We had reservations for a party of nine in the lounge area, and four guests in our group had never attended a performance or dined at Spag's before. After this experience, I can confidently say it definitely won't be their last visit. Spag's consistently delivers top-quality evenings like the one we experienced. From the online reservation process to our arrival and seating, everything went smoothly and professionally as always. Our server, Vanessa, was absolutely AMAZING! She handled every need our party had with professionalism, hospitality, and a genuine desire to make our night special. Not once did we see her become frustrated over special requests, changes to existing orders, or even being flagged down while already halfway across the room helping another table. I genuinely mean it when I say she was exceptional. We were no more important than any of her other tables, yet she made us feel like VIPs all night long. My wife and I ordered the sea bass and the rack of lamb entrées, and we shared the carrot cake for dessert. While the menu offers many tempting options, we'd gladly order all three again. My wife also tried a Woodford Reserve Bourbon Espresso Martini instead of the traditional vodka version, and let me tell you -- if you've never tried one that way before, you may be pleasantly surprised by how incredible it tastes. Vanessa even took photos for our group, separated each couple's portion of the bill, applied discounts and credits correctly, and handled everything with a smile the entire night. I actually made a point to compliment her to the manager because even if she had treated her other tables only half as well as she treated us, she still would have deserved recognition. We drive up from San Diego 3-5 times a year specifically to see certain artists perform here, and we ALWAYS leave with memorable experiences at Spag's. Our only wish is that they would open a second location much closer to us!

I've been to Spaghettini before and have loved it. This time I was celebrating my anniversary. It was a great time! The food was delicious, I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and Brussel Sprouts. The Rigatoni was very flavorful and the sweetness of the Brussels sprouts were perfect. The service was great, our waiter was very attentive and nice. The restaurant as whole was very nice, it gave cozy family feels with high quality meals. I love Spaghettini, and definitely look forward to going back soon

Have I not reviewed prior? What happened to my reviews? Anyway, I'm a frequent flyer here at the Jazz venue. Unsure why previous post claims bands are average?? WTF! Are you kidding? They all have recording contracts. The guy must be tone deaf. Anyway, most recently enjoyed The Braxton Brother's. Great venue with affordable prices. In the past winning entrees include: gr lamb chops (med rare), pizza, pork chop my last visit. Thought the pasta with mushrooms sounded good but felt it could've had a boost with garlic or parm or something. Ahi tower app was loved by my friend. Me not so much. Ok, I am Japanese & particular about sashimi. Gotta be super fresh. Didn't feel this was. Our group had: 1) capellini- all veg no added protein. She was pleased. Portion was huge. Like 1/2 lb of pasta. 2) carmelized salmon- friend thought it was undercooked. However, most places serve it med not fully cooked since it's tough otherwise. I personally order my salmon medium. ‍ 3) gr lamb chop- she always orders this. Always very happy with it. Med-rare as requested. 4) living on the wild side, ordered the Berkshire pork chop. OH MY GOSH! Moist, tender & flavorful. How big was this chop? 2 inches thick? Probably brined since this was cooked through, moist & tender. Topped with a chunky applesauce & a nice pan sauce. Buttery Parmesan polenta & Brussels sprouts leaves separated sautéed with garlic & olive oil. Seasoned well too. Cocktails here never disappoint. Had the pineapple habanero margarita this time. Not spicey. Still yummy though. Nice cozy jazz club within the restaurant. We really enjoy this place. Foods good, music is outstanding. The size is a plus. How close can you get to Keiko Matsui, Eric Marienthal, Lee Rittenhour? Like 15-20 ft away? This place is a gem. P.S.- during Covid, they offered a fabulous Mother's Day pick up order. So happy we could have a prime meal while isolating from the world.

Outrageously expensive restaurant for this area. Side dishes should be included with a steak not an additional $18 charge. Also my spaghetti and meatballs were $40. What??? My partner's chicken Parmesan was hard and not good. What an overall disappointing experience. Our water glasses were always full. That person was amazing !!!

This establishment is consistently delivering delicious plates with outstanding service. Our last 2 visits, we sat at the bar area where Dee and Andrew were our servers. Both provided excellent service!

I had a wonderful time at Spaghettini's! I visited years ago and remember really enjoying it, so I was excited to come back; this time for the live entertainment and happy hour. Donnie Savage was fantastic. His song selection and beautiful voice made the experience even more enjoyable. There were two of us, and we decided to share a few items. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, which was the perfect size for two and absolutely delicious. We also tried the Berkshire pork meatballs and a side of French fries; both were very good. For drinks, we ordered the Perfect Pear (1/10), which unfortunately wasn't to our taste at all. However, the passion fruit margarita was much better (8/10) and definitely something I'd order again. Overall, the service was great, and Spaghettini's has such a fun vibe. I'll definitely be back!

I went there during Happy Hour for my birthday lunch. Way too busy this time....I understand Friday was busier but today was way busy. I like happy hour deals, pizza and wine.... The quality was always same. My best pasta at Spaghettini is Penne w wild mushroom, chicken. Really tasty, flavorful. I got the b day complementary mini cheesecake. Yummy! My husband and I had a great time and left w so much leftovers....

I Liked the venue, but it's a bit pricey folks, so Just prepare for the sticker shock. You pay for the music and vibe. They Had a good musical group that wasn't necessarily jazz, but was good. They were a bit late to begin also. When you pay for the table, the music should begin when advertised. They have self parking and valet. It's a nice place where you are all Seated around the stage. They host jazz and other music shows. The food was decent and freshly prepared and it came out within 10 minutes or so. The service was great and they keep the drinks coming. Wifey had Eggs Benedict and I had a Cheeseburger. My Cheeseburger and fries was $35, about $15 too much IMO. The only thing that was a bit weird was when you pay the tip amount started at 20%~22%. The facilities were clean and modern, And we have been here a few times.

We flew to Los Angeles to be part of an extraordinary NYE celebration with Eric Darius at Spaghettini in Seal Beach. The evening was nothing short of magnificent, the food was superb, highlighted by the best Chilean Seabass we've ever tasted plus the service was flawless, even on a night when most venues struggle to keep pace with the crowds. To toast the end of 2025 in style, we ordered a 2013 Dom Perignon, setting the perfect tone to begin the new year on the right track. Spaghettini in Seal Beach is a place that I will continue visiting every time I'm anywhere near...

Overall the service is okay, but they forgot our drinks until after the food arrived. And we asked for bread and that came after the drinks. Nice warm ambiance inside as well, but can get loud when they have live music. There was an issue with the pasta but they comp'd it off the bill. Salmon was okay but nothing amazing flavor wise. Only valet parking for $12

A group of us ladies met here for dinner. The location was initially selected because it is off the freeway and easy for those traveling afar. The restaurants ambiance is very classy. We met for dinner and it was the month of December so it was lit up for the holidays. The furniture was very elegant. I found the young hostesses at the front did not have the friendliness that a host would have. Our server had a great personality. There were about 12-15 of us. He took care of our table and was patient. We ordered appetizers, pizzas and mixed drinks. We were still within the Happy Hour time frame so our appetizers were off the HH menu. Everything was tasty! I ordered a Margarita, Mushroom and Pepperoni pizza, a bruschetta dish all to share. My drinks were a glass of Moscato and an Espresso Martini. I would love to come back to this place and try some other things on the menu.

The instructors are great and the crowd is fun diverse (in terms of age, background, and experience dancing). The djs are also awesome play a lot of good music. The vibe is fun and high energy. It's nice to see a place that is filled with dancers of all skill levels just having fun and learning to dance. The venue itself is beautiful. They have a large open air dance floor that overlooks the marina as well as a smaller dance area inside near the pool tables. The decore is classy and elegant overall. On salsa nights they have drink specials in addition to the regular drink menu. Lastly I once lost my key fob there and someone returned it to their lost and found. I'm forever grateful to whomever returned it and the staff at the front door / lost and found. Overall it's an awesome place to come out and hang out and dance.

This place is honestly a joke…read more We waited in line for almost 2 hours while security kept people outside for no reason -- and when we finally got in, there was so much open space inside. It wasn't even close to full. They're clearly holding people outside on purpose to create fake hype, which is honestly pretty messed up. You're telling me dozens of people are stuck waiting forever while there's plenty of room inside? It's giving manufactured crowd and poor management. To make it worse, they stopped serving drinks and turned the lights on at 1:15 AM, way earlier than literally any normal bar. So after wasting hours in line, you barely even get time inside. And it somehow gets worse -- at 1:35 AM they were literally kicking people out of the restroom. We weren't even allowed to finish or wash our hands before being rushed out. That's not just rude, it's straight up unhygienic and disrespectful. Overall, completely overhyped, disorganized, and not worth the wait at all. Don't fall for the line -- it's fake.

1 Star - Worst Experience I've Ever Had at a Bar…read more I've been to The Blind Donkey in downtown Long Beach before but what happened last night deserves to be shared. I came here with a friend last night and ordered a blonde beer that tasted completely off -- it genuinely tasted like blue cheese. My friend encouraged me to ask for a replacement since something was clearly wrong with it. When she brought it to the bar, the bartender told her he'd replace it and that it was on the house, but then made her pay for the second drink anyway. If I had known she'd still be charged, I would've just not asked for another drink. When I came up to the bar to clarify why she paid for something he said was comped, the bartender backtracked and said he "didn't mean" that. I asked if they could void the second charge, since this was supposed to be a simple replacement. He kept explaining that he is charging us for this second one because it was not a blonde, it was a white ale. I told him that's fine, but why did he say it was "on the house" and now charging us anyway? He ended up bringing over the manager. The manager was a short, Latino man with a hat on. He was incredibly rude from the moment he arrived explaining the beer was a blonde- which I know what I ordered, but tasted whack. He didn't look at us, didn't listen to anything we were saying, and without asking a single question he grabbed both drinks we paid for and dumped them down the drain. We were stunned -- we paid for both of them and now had nothing. When he came back, I calmly told him we paid for both drinks he just threw out. His response? "Don't expect to come here and get free drinks." Which is wild considering we never asked for anything free -- we were just trying to get the mistaken charge fixed. When I told him he needed to void the drink he dumped, he called security on us. We weren't loud, drunk, or confrontational. Security refused to give us the manager's name, and only one finally whispered "Ken," though at that point it felt like they were just saying anything to get us out the door. I've worked in customer-facing roles before. I understand dive bars aren't known for luxury service, but this wasn't about service -- it was about basic respect, integrity, and not charging customers for drinks you throw away yourself. I'm leaving this review as a Long Beach local, it's saddening to see how a popular bar like The Blind Donkey treats their customers. This was the worst experience I've ever had.

The ambiance is perfect whether you're coming to unwind after a long day or meet up with friends for a fun night out. The hookah flavors are smooth, fresh, and last a long time you can tell they really care about quality. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always checking in to make sure everything is perfect. Customer service is truly top-tier. Great music, great energy, and an overall amazing experience every time. Highly recommend if you're looking for a classy and chill spot to enjoy hookah. There's something about this spot that just feels right. From the moment you walk in, it's clear: Palmz isn't trying to be like the others. It's already something better. The vibe? Effortless. Warm. Thoughtful. The interior alone could've been crafted by a professional designer -- and maybe that's because Tracie, the owner, pours heart into every detail. It's not just decorated... it's curated. Where other lounges miss the mark, Palmz sets the standard. The staff doesn't just serve -- they welcome. They remember your name. They ask about your day. They'll even create off-menu blends that somehow taste like exactly what you needed. For us, this place has become more than a lounge. During one of the hardest seasons of my life -- a divorce, a home disaster that left us living out of a hotel -- Palmz became our escape. Our reset button. Our little sanctuary when everything else felt upside down. We've been coming here for almost two years now. And every time, it reminds me how powerful a safe, soulful space can be. One request though... We need Palmz t-shirts. Because when something feels like home -- you want to rep it. - Paul

False Advertising and Total Failure of a "Speakeasy"…read more This place should not call itself a speakeasy. According to their website, they are strict about dress code, reservations, and no large parties. None of that was enforced. People arrived wearing sports clothes, tennis shoes, and flip-flops, and a group of more than 10 people was allowed in. That group was loud, drunk, and screaming, completely destroying any speakeasy ambiance. We had a reservation booked one week in advance for 2 tables of six, yet by 8:30 pm, we were told no food was available, despite the bar being almost empty. The water was already on the table when we arrived and tasted strongly of chlorine, with no ice. The waitress was clearly new, untrained, and unprepared. She did not know the menu, didn't know how to take an order properly, and provided no guidance whatsoever. There was one bartender Ricardo, who took over an hour to prepare cocktails and showed no sense of urgency or care. The dramatic cocktail descriptions sounded impressive, but the drinks did not match the descriptions at all. Because of the delays, we were never even able to properly toast or celebrate our friend. The charcuterie board took forever and arrived with an absurd amount of cheese and only six pieces of bread. To make things worse, part of the food we ordered never arrived at all. The live jazz band advertised and promised never showed up. When asked, the staff responded with: "I don't know, they were supposed to be here. I don't have their phone number." That level of disorganization is unacceptable. At the end of the night, we were shocked to receive a check close to $600 for two tables, despite each person only having one cocktail and shared food. The bartender, Ricardo, approached us and said: "Well, sorry, we really tried tonight! It wasn't the best, but we tried." Honestly, that comment made the experience even more frustrating. I can't imagine how bad it would have been if they hadn't "tried."That statement perfectly summarizes the problem -- trying is not enough when everything fails. I would not recommend this place for a speakeasy experience. This is not a speakeasy. It's a poorly run bar hiding behind a concept it does not deliver. Do not recommend.

What…read morewas supposed to be a classy night celebrating a 50th birthday turned into a complete nightmare. This is not a speakeasy, it's a tiny, rundown bar pretending to be something it's not. The staff was inexperienced, dismissive, and unprofessional. Drinks were outrageously overpriced and took forever to arrive. The food was a joke, a $60 charcuterie board made up of cheap grocery store cheese, ham, and crackers that didn't come close to justifying the price. We were served warm water that tasted like chlorine, and the response from staff was literally "I don't know, I just work here." At one point both waitresses vanished, leaving the bartender overwhelmed and everything grinding to a halt. The live jazz band they advertise never showed up, and staff had no explanation or contact info. The so-called dress code was completely ignored, with groups in jeans and sneakers flooding in, turning the place loud, chaotic, and classless. This place delivers nothing it promises. It's not a speakeasy, it's a poorly run bar that shouldn't be in business. Strongly do not recommend, and honestly, I want my money back.

I've been here several times and I keep forgetting to write up a review - though I was too wasted…read moreon all occasions by the time I got here so this review may be a bit skewed if you know what I mean? :p By the time we got here, it was already --redesigned-- for use as a night club. I was a bit confused because I thought we were going out for a late dinner. Is it a restaurant? Is it a night club? Is it a karaoke bar? I didn't care at that point, all I wanted was food in my alcoholic tummy and having too much shots I needed something substantial. The" Bu Loc Lac" (shaking beef) popped right at me with this awesome picture "saying," order me, order me. Surprisingly, it was delicious. The execution and the presentation with the rare filet Mignon, neatly arranged and cubed was just outstanding -- not to mentioned the right seasoning with the garlic noodles too. I was a happy camper. They also had plenty of drinks to go around and since we all pitched in and RSVP for a full service table and lounge, we had the works from hard liquor, to champagne to famous sweet wine from Vietnam; a whole concoction drinks if you ask me. Here's the fun part, get this -- an hour later, man this place got swamped! It was karaoke time and we were in the middle of it all. So the live band started their intro and then one by one, each full table got up, and started to sing their heart out including the famous Vietnamese singers that arrived with their very own private fancy booth. I of course opted out, but I was forced by a majority vote to sing one song, and since I was so wasted what do I have to loose!! And after all that singing, it was time to get down and shake it. Too bad they close early unlike in Manhattan -- they party till dawn! All in all, this place rocks at night especially as a night club. I am not sure what it's like during the day as a restaurant or even during dinner, but all I know is come here with your buddies, hangout, sing, dance and RSVP a table and you will have the time of your life. I will definitely be back!

A little lantern above is the where the door is. Buzz the doorbell for entrance. We had a reservation for Friday for drinks and maybe food. When we walked in, the hostess was very sweet. Our seating area was right when you walk in. A seating area along the corner and some ottoman. I didn't expect the place to be quite small. There's a couple of tables along the side and the bar area with seating. That's mainly it. And it was quite dark which was fine. Did have to turn the phone flashlight on to check out the drink menu..lol... Showing our age...lol... They specialize in Japanese style handcrafted cocktails. Menu did offer some unique drinks, a twist of a lot of classic drinks. Some were quite pricey compared to others. Besides the drinks which is what this place is known for, they did have some small bites on the menu. We didn't have any besides the edamame which I say was delicious. As it's known for drinks that what we came for. There was good amount of us so a lot of the choices were made and tried. Drinks didn't take long to arrive but first impressions. They didn't looked like anything major. Honestly they looked like a glass of water. Some had the trimming with the salt, while others was basically a massive ball of ice that took over the glass. They're known for their drinks which I must say people love it here. They were strong which you get your moneys worth. The fun details and illustration of the cocktail menu was great. Each had their own different taste. Besides all the drinks we ordered, they were good and strong. But for the place, it was ok. A small intimate room with limited 90 minutes seating for each booking. Im not sure if walk in was available. The bar seating is quite tight. Food that came out did look quite tasty. Their small bites so a few dishes would be needed. Edamame was tasty which I do recommend. But when it comes to the drinks, some was good while some was just whatever. It's strong so that's a plus. They're pretty tight with staff. I think there was just the hostess and the two bartenders. It's a fun little spot for cocktails. I can say I've been now.

While I can say I love the entry way, that's generally where my excitement wears off- every single time. Now as I wrap this review up to revisit my bathroom on day 4 after my visit, I regret not yielding to my better judgement. The tuna tar tar has done me in. I'm not doctor diagnosed, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck I bet all the fish in that contaminated marina outside the establishment that I have food poisoning. I've not had one normal stool since leaving that place. Meanwhile my daughters are planning their return. I won't be there. I hope they find someone else to pay. Cuz tantalum ain't cheap. Lastly, the rule about happy hour in the bar to me makes no sense. Happy hour should extend to the entire restaurant no matter where you're sitting. I personally hate the bar. I hate watching the baristas on their cell phones texting whomever they're texting. I hate watching them huddled in the corner, not washing their hands. And I also hate the fact that the televisions are on and worse blocking the view. Is this a sports bar or is it a nice dining experience. I don't know. Maybe it's just me. It's very dark inside and I understand that is the vibe but come on now change the carpets. What do I know anyway? My daughters will be back, Sysco foods and all...allegedly. Hopefully within a week time I become less acquainted with the toilet
