Haven't come here in yearrssssss and I'm glad I came again! Brought my pops for his birthday and we had a great time with great vibes! Food was fantastic. Service was great. Lighting was a bit dark, but not horrible. Thinking about coming back for some music soon!
Updated review from dinner, drinks, and live entertainment on 5/22/26 (5pm-9pm) featuring Andréa Lisa's 7pm performance. We had reservations for a party of nine in the lounge area, and four guests in our group had never attended a performance or dined at Spag's before. After this experience, I can confidently say it definitely won't be their last visit. Spag's consistently delivers top-quality evenings like the one we experienced. From the online reservation process to our arrival and seating, everything went smoothly and professionally as always. Our server, Vanessa, was absolutely AMAZING! She handled every need our party had with professionalism, hospitality, and a genuine desire to make our night special. Not once did we see her become frustrated over special requests, changes to existing orders, or even being flagged down while already halfway across the room helping another table. I genuinely mean it when I say she was exceptional. We were no more important than any of her other tables, yet she made us feel like VIPs all night long. My wife and I ordered the sea bass and the rack of lamb entrées, and we shared the carrot cake for dessert. While the menu offers many tempting options, we'd gladly order all three again. My wife also tried a Woodford Reserve Bourbon Espresso Martini instead of the traditional vodka version, and let me tell you -- if you've never tried one that way before, you may be pleasantly surprised by how incredible it tastes. Vanessa even took photos for our group, separated each couple's portion of the bill, applied discounts and credits correctly, and handled everything with a smile the entire night. I actually made a point to compliment her to the manager because even if she had treated her other tables only half as well as she treated us, she still would have deserved recognition. We drive up from San Diego 3-5 times a year specifically to see certain artists perform here, and we ALWAYS leave with memorable experiences at Spag's. Our only wish is that they would open a second location much closer to us!
I've been to Spaghettini before and have loved it. This time I was celebrating my anniversary. It was a great time! The food was delicious, I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and Brussel Sprouts. The Rigatoni was very flavorful and the sweetness of the Brussels sprouts were perfect. The service was great, our waiter was very attentive and nice. The restaurant as whole was very nice, it gave cozy family feels with high quality meals. I love Spaghettini, and definitely look forward to going back soon
Have I not reviewed prior? What happened to my reviews? Anyway, I'm a frequent flyer here at the Jazz venue. Unsure why previous post claims bands are average?? WTF! Are you kidding? They all have recording contracts. The guy must be tone deaf. Anyway, most recently enjoyed The Braxton Brother's. Great venue with affordable prices. In the past winning entrees include: gr lamb chops (med rare), pizza, pork chop my last visit. Thought the pasta with mushrooms sounded good but felt it could've had a boost with garlic or parm or something. Ahi tower app was loved by my friend. Me not so much. Ok, I am Japanese & particular about sashimi. Gotta be super fresh. Didn't feel this was. Our group had: 1) capellini- all veg no added protein. She was pleased. Portion was huge. Like 1/2 lb of pasta. 2) carmelized salmon- friend thought it was undercooked. However, most places serve it med not fully cooked since it's tough otherwise. I personally order my salmon medium. 3) gr lamb chop- she always orders this. Always very happy with it. Med-rare as requested. 4) living on the wild side, ordered the Berkshire pork chop. OH MY GOSH! Moist, tender & flavorful. How big was this chop? 2 inches thick? Probably brined since this was cooked through, moist & tender. Topped with a chunky applesauce & a nice pan sauce. Buttery Parmesan polenta & Brussels sprouts leaves separated sautéed with garlic & olive oil. Seasoned well too. Cocktails here never disappoint. Had the pineapple habanero margarita this time. Not spicey. Still yummy though. Nice cozy jazz club within the restaurant. We really enjoy this place. Foods good, music is outstanding. The size is a plus. How close can you get to Keiko Matsui, Eric Marienthal, Lee Rittenhour? Like 15-20 ft away? This place is a gem. P.S.- during Covid, they offered a fabulous Mother's Day pick up order. So happy we could have a prime meal while isolating from the world.
Amazing meal, service, and music as always. A jazzy ambiance as Eddie kindly served us our halibut, salmon, and short ribs. The ahi appetizer and cheesecake dessert were the perfect addition to the meal. You can't go wrong with Spaghettini. We'll be back for sure.
I went there during Happy Hour for my birthday lunch. Way too busy this time....I understand Friday was busier but today was way busy. I like happy hour deals, pizza and wine.... The quality was always same. My best pasta at Spaghettini is Penne w wild mushroom, chicken. Really tasty, flavorful. I got the b day complementary mini cheesecake. Yummy! My husband and I had a great time and left w so much leftovers....
We flew to Los Angeles to be part of an extraordinary NYE celebration with Eric Darius at Spaghettini in Seal Beach. The evening was nothing short of magnificent, the food was superb, highlighted by the best Chilean Seabass we've ever tasted plus the service was flawless, even on a night when most venues struggle to keep pace with the crowds. To toast the end of 2025 in style, we ordered a 2013 Dom Perignon, setting the perfect tone to begin the new year on the right track. Spaghettini in Seal Beach is a place that I will continue visiting every time I'm anywhere near...
I Liked the venue, but it's a bit pricey folks, so Just prepare for the sticker shock. You pay for the music and vibe. They Had a good musical group that wasn't necessarily jazz, but was good. They were a bit late to begin also. When you pay for the table, the music should begin when advertised. They have self parking and valet. It's a nice place where you are all Seated around the stage. They host jazz and other music shows. The food was decent and freshly prepared and it came out within 10 minutes or so. The service was great and they keep the drinks coming. Wifey had Eggs Benedict and I had a Cheeseburger. My Cheeseburger and fries was $35, about $15 too much IMO. The only thing that was a bit weird was when you pay the tip amount started at 20%~22%. The facilities were clean and modern, And we have been here a few times.
A group of us ladies met here for dinner. The location was initially selected because it is off the freeway and easy for those traveling afar. The restaurants ambiance is very classy. We met for dinner and it was the month of December so it was lit up for the holidays. The furniture was very elegant. I found the young hostesses at the front did not have the friendliness that a host would have. Our server had a great personality. There were about 12-15 of us. He took care of our table and was patient. We ordered appetizers, pizzas and mixed drinks. We were still within the Happy Hour time frame so our appetizers were off the HH menu. Everything was tasty! I ordered a Margarita, Mushroom and Pepperoni pizza, a bruschetta dish all to share. My drinks were a glass of Moscato and an Espresso Martini. I would love to come back to this place and try some other things on the menu.
We celebrated our 40th anniversary and our brother in laws 70th birthday last Saturday night! Michael Paulo is a fabulous musician and entertainer, he was also celebrating his 70th birthday! He even shared his birthday cake with all his fans! Our waitress, Saturday night, 5/23.26, was amazing and brought us two desserts and champagne toasts to celebrate both our occasions! All her suggestions for dinner were perfect! I had the Lobster Shrimp mango salad and it was so good in every way possible! Pasta dishes were all excellent! Chicken Parmesan was tasty too! She was so sweet and efficient! Best we've ever had there! I would only skip the poke tower, which was a very tiny serving... otherwise everything was delicious! The service was impeccable!
Overall the service is okay, but they forgot our drinks until after the food arrived. And we asked for bread and that came after the drinks. Nice warm ambiance inside as well, but can get loud when they have live music. There was an issue with the pasta but they comp'd it off the bill. Salmon was okay but nothing amazing flavor wise. Only valet parking for $12
Outrageously expensive restaurant for this area. Side dishes should be included with a steak not an additional $18 charge. Also my spaghetti and meatballs were $40. What??? My partner's chicken Parmesan was hard and not good. What an overall disappointing experience. Our water glasses were always full. That person was amazing !!!
I had a wonderful time at Spaghettini's! I visited years ago and remember really enjoying it, so I was excited to come back; this time for the live entertainment and happy hour. Donnie Savage was fantastic. His song selection and beautiful voice made the experience even more enjoyable. There were two of us, and we decided to share a few items. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, which was the perfect size for two and absolutely delicious. We also tried the Berkshire pork meatballs and a side of French fries; both were very good. For drinks, we ordered the Perfect Pear (1/10), which unfortunately wasn't to our taste at all. However, the passion fruit margarita was much better (8/10) and definitely something I'd order again. Overall, the service was great, and Spaghettini's has such a fun vibe. I'll definitely be back!
Another wonderful dinner at Spaghettini! This time it was for my birthday! If you are a loyalty member, it's a very nice and generous birthday treat! It's important to make reservations as Spaghettini is a very busy place especially on concert nites! I booked on Open Table, always an easy process. Upon arrival, the hostess wished me a Hapoy Birthday! We were seated in Kazi's section, a setver we have had before, the BEST. Nice to have a familiar face, and Juan bussed, another familiar face. Says a lot about a business when their staff have been there for years! The hostess brought a customized Birthday Card to the table, so all would know the special occasion! Nice touch! Kazi of course recognized us and wished me a Happy Birthday. We started with drinks. My husband ordered his usual, Dirty Vodka Martini, but this time with Chopin instead of Belvedere. Perfectly made! Spaghettini makes great cocktails! I decided on a white wine, Daou Sav Blanc. I usually don't drink white with dinner, but it was a hot night and thought it would pair well with my entree, which I did! We had a wonderful appetizer, a tasting test by the chef! For entrees my husband ordered the Carmelized Salmon, same dish he had last visit because it was so good. That carmelized sauce is very special! He loved it again and could not stop talking about the sauce! On their Summer Specials Menu, they were still offering the Lobster Ravioli, one of my favorite dishes! I had to order it again! Lots of lobster meat, ravioli shells very tender,and that sauce, OMG so good! Lemony and buttery, better than sliced bread! I am so glad they decided to offer all Summer, time to go back and have again and again! Of course Kazi brought me out a birthday dessert treat, mini cheesecake with a candle. Their cheesecake is so good! He also took our photo for a special memory and mounted it inside my birthday card! Definitely made my birthday dinner extra special! Thank you! Dinner and live music! Perfect pairing. I was invited to see the artist Marsey perform live here and they have a great set up for dinner and a show. The performance stage is situated nicely in front of diners and offers a great intimate experience. I was excited to see the artist but I was also very excited to try out this Italian restaurant. We ordered a Pinot Noir for the table to start and a couple of appetizers- Ahi Tower Pork Meatballs Fried Calamari Tomatoes and Burrata (seasonal) They were all very delicious but I personally loved the Tomatoes and Burrata AND the meatballs. Talk about FLAVOR! For entrees we tried- Rigatoni Bolognese Tagliatelle Al funghi Capellini Pomodoro Chilean Sea Bass The pasta is made in house daily so it's a must try. The sea bass was flaky, buttery, and just so good with that lemon butter sauce. Tasty tasty dish. I thought I took a picture of the butter cake for dessert but I guess we were too excited! Came here to celebrate my birthday and had an absolutely perfect experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with incredible hospitality and attentive service, making me feel truly special on my birthday. For our main courses, we ordered the Seafood Pasta and the Wild Mushroom Pasta, and both were absolutely delicious. The pasta noodles here are quite unique--they have a distinct, wonderful texture that holds the rich sauces beautifully. We started our meal with the Bruschetta, which was uniquely prepared with cherry tomatoes. It was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and the perfect starter to kick off the meal. With its upscale ambiance and top-notch service, this is without a doubt the ultimate spot for birthdays or any special occasion. Thank you, Spaghettini, for an unforgettable birthday dinner. We had a 10am Sunday reservation and the staff seated us right away. We were able to get one of the last parking spaces. It's decorated in Christmas decorations and there is jazz music in the background. Our server, Jon was exceptional and attentive. He was able to let us know which items were dairy free and gluten free on the Brunch Menu! And he was able to accommodate any of our food restrictions of no dairy, no gluten, and no egg. We had such a great time and the food was delicious! The staff even contacted me for the birthday person's name, they made it extra special for the birthday person. read more

I had such a great time dining here! Came for one of their r&b nights so eating while listening to a live band was such a good time. The service & hospitality was also amazing!!! On top of that, the food was also great. The focaccia starter, calamari and short rib was delishhhh. Also, their pear martini was so delish!!! Sweet how I like it, but still strong. This spot would be a great date night, gno or even fam outing. I highly recommend! read more

Very solid Italian restaurant in Seal Beach. Went for a Father's Day brunch and the experience was great. The staff is warm and welcoming and our server (I'm so bad with names and unfortunately forgot) was very personable and friendly. All of us enjoyed our food and drinks. The seafood pasta is so creamy and seafood tastes fresh. Got to try the prime rib and it is also very good. This is a great place for a date or family celebration/gathering, but if you love food and good ambiance then it's good all around! read more

I came here for an event. They had a phenomenal live band!!! Whew they were amazing!!! Really set the vibe I had to get up and dance a bit! I had a three course meal and two cocktails. The cocktails were okay in my opinion. However my friends really enjoyed their drinks! The calamari was delicious and I love the sauces that came with it! The short ribs were cooked to perfection, very juicy. Fresh veggies. I was hoping that the corn risotto would have a sweeter corn taste but it was more on the creamy bland side. I tried the sea bass from one of my friends and it was so soft it just melted in my mouth. Honestly the cheesecake was incredible. Next time I'll order about ten of these. First, impressed, great service and great place to relax, enjoy wines, Italian foods. Loved it. My wife picked this location and we decided to try happy hour from 2 yesterday. We are Italian family and tried so many pizzas, pasta specialty restaurants around Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, South Coast plaza in OC and Long Beach areas for years. Always disappointed with the real flavors but we finally got it and left w happy face yesterday. So quiet around 2:20 on Friday. We sat at the bar for happy hour menu. They got everything we liked such as mushroom pizza, calamari, penne or tagliatelle. Good selections on happy hour, pasta choices as well as a la carte. Wow!! We loved wines, my wife got sauvignon blanc from New Zealand and I got red, Cabernet. The wine glasses are big, portion is generous for $10. We really enjoyed the wines and appetizer, super crunchy calamari, mushroom pizza, only $15. My wife loves the pizza. Well baked, no burned, flavorful mushrooms and ricotta cheese. We give perfect 5 stars. And entrée, we picked penne w chicken, mushrooms, and garlic cream. The pasta portion was a lot to feed 3 people. The cream sauce w mushrooms like enoki was unbelievable. That is why we kept drinking 2nd glasses of wines. Cheers!!! For Happy Friday!!! The server as well as a bartender, Kris was awesome. made a rez for a birthday celebration! made the rez via opentable, so it was really easy service was a bit slow we came during their sunday brunch who hosts live entertainment (live band) its a separate ticket , i believe it is $40/person in addition to the food and drinks. it was a packed house. ordered: french toast brunch burger with an order of your entree , you get a glass of mimosa or prosecco. we skipped that offer bc we wanted something non alcoholic. it wasnt until i heard another waitress attending another table explaining that you can opt to get soda or juice instead of the mimosa or prosecco... when our waitress arrived, i had asked if there were other options and said said yes.. she also missed that we were celebrating a birthday until the end, like ready to pay end lol food was good. presentation was pretty. would def come again. dog friendly patio. parking: large lot but during their sunday brunch with live entertainment, the lot was full and additional parking was across the street , you can park for free where the office buildings are located. read more

Pricey, but good BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY $50 Birthday Month credit for Rewards members I had a Spaghettini e-gift card, to go along with the $50 Birthday Month credit, and dined here on 3 recent occasions. I did attend a 94.7 The Wave AYCE Brunch 7 years ago, but still a novice in what Spaghettini offered on their regular menu. Good thing the e-gift card & promo empowered me in ordering some bougie fare. French Dip- Simply delicious! The prime rib slices were so tender. Usually paired with chips or fries, I asked for vegetables, in which I was given the option for Caesar salad. Much better than a French Dip from Arby's or other fast casual restaurant, Spaghettini's French Dip was chef's kiss. Seafood Pasta- Having the trifecta of lobster, crab & shrimp, the Seafood Pasta was creamy pasta excellence. Having the attendant liberally apply ample amounts of freshly shredded cheese upped the cheesy quotient all that much more. Short Rib- Creamy sweet corn risotto, heirloom carrots, horseradish gremolata & lathered in a red wine reduction, The Short Rib was decadently succulent, and a pleasure to eat. 16 oz bone-in Pork Chop- Berkshire pork chop, topped with miso apple compote, paired with Brussel sprout leaves & parmesan polenta. Let me put it like this - after elegantly slicing bite sized pieces on the majority of the tender pork, I grabbed the pork bone and ate all the delicious bits of meat left on it Fred Flintstone-style. Service was excellent. The bartender was friendly & hospitable, and the wait for food was negligible. A small parking lot in front of the restaurant, additional parking is available at the Bixby Business Center across Old Ranch Pkwy. Valet parking is also an option. Masterly crafted cuisine, with prices to match, Spaghettini had me in culinary ecstasy with everything I had the pleasure to dine on. Spaghettini does have great Happy Hour Specials (including French Dip), Weekly Specials, Wine Wednesday & more, to save a little dough over regular price. Not to mention live music events & Sunday Brunch. Spaghettini is a great choice for special occasions, or just an enjoyable meal with sumptuous food & impeccable service to match. I can't wait to come back, with the difficult decision whether to choose new menu items, or go for the delectable French Dip & Short Rib, again. Highly recommend! read more

We came to celebrate my boyfriend's mom's birthday dinner tonight. It was all of our first time coming. Kazi was our waiter and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it an unforgettable night! The vibe was warm and welcoming, and they even had a live jazz show and that performer was amazing. The food was exceptional. Bruschetta appetizer courtesy of the manager, fantastic dinner bread, the calamari was amazing! We all split the seafood pasta and the Chilean sea bass. BIG portions and we were even able to take plates home to finish! Kazi and the entire staff really went out of their way to make our first time here (and her birthday) an exceptional night.
