Visited with friends few weeks and it is a good place to chill. They had a DJ during Brunch and the vibe was pretty good. Tacos were only above average and the Drinks were also pretty decent. Service and wait time was good enough.

How lucky am I that my Tattoo Artist is down the street from this Awesome Hoboken Gem. Anytime we are in town ( from NY ) we try to stop in. This place is soooo good. Food is absolutely Delicious, the decor is hip with a mix of traditional Mexican influence NYC disco type vibes ( if that makes sense ) with a DJ as all. Our server Ben was fantastic last time we stopped in for lunch..wonderful suggestions and couldn't be more professional, polite, and helpful..and the Sangria he suggested was perfect! Definitely stop in if you find yourself in this beautiful riverfront city and Enjoy!

Went here on a Sunday afternoon for a birthday brunch and it seemed like everyone came for a birthday. The moment you walk through the door, this place is packed and jumping. The DJ's music hits you hard and is loud but a great rnb, throwback set. Very cramped but lively atmosphere - definitely not a place for intimate convo but for sure a really fun time with good food and dancing! ORDERED Yabba Dabba Pancakes Birria Empanada and Quesadilla Breakfast Tacos French Toast Philly Grilled Cheese Birria Grilled Cheese Honestly, all the food (especially the Birria) was so delicious. Shout out especially to the French toast, breakfast tacos, and burria quesadilla. Our Birria grilled cheese was burnt but they graciously replaced it. Yabba dabba pancakes was fun to order but taste wise it wasn't impressive and was kinda burnt/dry. Service tried their best. They were always coming around and at one point they ran out of knives. The people who ordered a grilled cheese couldn't eat for about 10-15 because they weren't able to cut into their grilled cheese. Because it was my friends birthday, they came with ice cream taco and gave us 2 free. It was actually so delicious. They gave others churros with ice cream which we kinda wished we got. They served free shots in an airplane which was funny. I would come again at a quieter time just to try different things on the menu. It does get SUPER packed at their peak brunch time so I would get ready for a lot of bodies and borderline ratchetness.

Fat Taco Tequila Bar in Hoboken is such a vibe! Known as Hoboken's House of Birria, this spot delivers on all fronts--delicious modern Mexican food, amazing cocktails, and nonstop party energy. @stacewithtaste and I had a blast trying a variety of dishes and drinks, and everything was packed with flavor. Whether you're coming for brunch, dinner, or one of their weekly specials, Fat Taco brings the fun and the flavor. Definitely a must-visit in Hoboken! Service was amazing as well!

Went here with a friend for a Friday evening Happy Hour. I've been waiting to try this place for a while; the anticipation was already built. I loved the decor and ambience, it's very cozy and inviting on a hot summer day! We ordered passionfruit margaritas, the shrimp ceviche, and beef/chicken empanadas. I was very disappointed. The ceviche was a little bit on the sweeter side, and the shrimp tasted frozen. The empanadas were a bit burnt, and I wasn't a fan of the filling. The beef was way too ground for my liking, and the chicken was on the drier side. The margaritas were watered down. I appreciate our server; she was kind and honest. She let us know that happy hour drinks come from a pre-made batch. No wonder my drink tasted like juice. The food was very mediocre, I don't think I will be back. don't We went to Panela next door for a real cocktail, I wish we knew sooner.

$20 for a meal, in hoboken? Seriously? Yes Seriously.

We stopped in for a quick bite and got bar service, at 3pm the place was hopping. The side room was packed and several parties looked to be in full swing with yard long towers on the tables. Def. A hip scene and a place to go to meet people. We had the quickest meal which we needed as we were on the move, both got a great quesadilla and water, for this price in view of nyc you can't beat it. $26 per person which included a $10 tip. Wow, recommend. Obviously the drink game is what most people had come to partake, by the size of the crowd it looks strong.

The birria tacos here are really good and really filling. The mobile ordering is convenient but it does make the experience feel slightly less like a true sit down restaurant. Because of this service isn't as attentive as I have seen with other restaurants. The proximity to nightlife and cute decor add points for sure.

I came to Fat Taco with friends for a Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint! I started with a drink that was delicious and perfectly balanced--refreshing without being too sweet. I ordered the chicken and shrimp tacos and they were so good, I had to go back for a second round. The flavors were on point and everything came out fresh. The vibe was amazing--great music that had us dancing in our seats and just enjoying ourselves. If you're looking for good food, good drinks, and even better energy, I definitely recommend stopping by Fat Taco for brunch! The staff were also so sweet and attentive despite the day being busy!

Great food, great drinks and great service. Definitely come here if you are looking for a good brunch spot to get your day started. Would not recommend for young families looking for a quiet place to eat as it can get pretty rowdy.

I had my eye on this spot for a while as Mexican food is one of favorites. I was at an international women's events at the W hotel and need some food. This was close by and it was a Friday night so definitely a busy night there. We were able to grab a table and were attended to right away. I ordered the La Brujeria which was very good and strong and some Birria tacos which were delish as well. I tried my partners stuffed churros and they were actually delicious event thought I'm not big on churros. Overall the place is a vibe, service is attentive, food is good just wish the music was a bit more diverse.

Second time here and I love this place. The bartender was very nice and made delicious drinks. They were doing $15 tequila sunset buckets and they were actually strong. We were just waiting an hour for our train but I got the ahi tuna nachos and they're literally just like Yardhouse's but better.

Fat Taco is a fun and lively restaurant located conveniently by the PATH station in Hoboken. The service is fast - You scan a QR code and order rounds as you want, wait staff brings your food and drinks to the table. NOTE: Need apple pay! The tacos were tasty - $6 and $7 each for the chorizo and birria, respectively. Both classic. Ordered a frozen strawberry marg with sugar lined rim - These are STRONG! Will definitely be back!

Fat tacos is one my favorite place to go for taco Tuesdays. They have a limited tacos for $30 from the select menu and there's a good variety of options of tacos to choose from. The birria empanadas were so so good. The different tacos were flavorful and delicious. The dessert taco was also really good and I thought it was super cool that they lit it up to flambé it. Service was great and tacos came out quick and at an average pace every time.

It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement.
