Everything was great. The people working were awesome and the food excellent. My wife has been wanting to go here for a while and thankfully we finally did. It was better than anything we have had in a good while and we often visit Nashville to try new places. This was better than any place there we have been lately. Cannot recommend enough.

    Spicy pork. I love this.

What a great find just outside Nashville! Get there when they open or you may have to wait. The drive out there is beautiful and the food is really good. I can't wait to go back!

Korean bbq in middle Tennessee. We arrived early everyone was super friendly. Appetizers were fantastic. We ordered the short ribs. Eclectic style. Lots of fun.

I had to update my review because this time I didn't forget to take pics and I dined inside this time. Our sweet potato tempura came out hot, crispy, and delicious. That sauce that's drizzled on top is so good! Talk about umami, yum. My husband's hangover soup had me drooling. Thank God he doesn't mind sharing. He always lets me taste and I make him wait while I take a picture. My kimchi chigae(sp) I wish I could say it was good, but I wouldn't recommend that and I wished I'd ordered the spicy pork bulgogi instead. I don't like my rice getting soggy or even having it served that way. It was way too sweet. And I had to search for meat. The chairs and tables are cramped and you can hear everything your neighbors are saying. My chair was so low my chin was close to the table. I didn't mind and it was funny. You order first and get your own drink. And food is served on styrofoam. The same two ladies were working and they were friendly and helpful both times. It was still good enough that I'll be back to pick up my takeout pork bulgogi.

This spot is worth the trip outside of the city. We ordered quite a few items to try a little bit of everything and loved it all! The fried chicken was our favorite. There were plenty of tables available to sit at on a Thursday afternoon. Do make sure to check the hours before planning your visit because they are only open Thursday-Saturday

Fast and friendly service! This was my first time here and the waitress helped recommend our food! It was delicious but very salty. Would definitely recommend if you are in the neighborhood!

Thought I walked into the wrong restaurant initially because the cabin look and wall decor made me think this was a southern restaurant! On a Saturday evening around dinner time, Fat Tiger was super busy. We waited for about 10-15 min to get seated and maybe another 15-20 min for our food, which is super understandable given how packed the place was! We got the fried chicken in the OG Korean flavor. The chicken was super tender and juicy! It also came with a pineapple cole slaw that was a nice light and crunchy complement to the richer chicken. Also got the grilled pork belly, which came with awesome side dishes, rice, and lettuce. Great smokey flavor, worked really well with side dishes and ssamjang sauce. The jjajangmyeong (black bean noodle) was also very flavorful and came with some of the best kimchi we've had in Nashville. Would've like the noodles to be a bit more al dente, but overall great dish. Located in a remote area about 30 min outside of Nashville with hiking nearby. Will be back!

Visited Fat Tiger Korean BBQ in White Bluff, TN. This place serves up authentic Korean cuisine with incredible flavors. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the design of each dish and sauce so they complement each other while filling you up! The owners David & Starrlite are so welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. Our servers Morgan and Jody took our orders, answered questions, made recommendations, and took great care of us. For an appetizer...the Boneless Korean Fried Chicken with the Soy-Garlic-Honey glaze on the fried chicken is amazing...this could be a meal all on its own with some sticky rice. The Bulgogi dish was simple yet so good with thinly sliced beef that was fork tender and flavorful. LOVE the sticky rice here, and if you drizzle a bit of their Fat Tiger Aioli sauce on it, puts this rice over the top! The Bibimbap is huge and the flavors of the pickled/cold items and the warm rice and meats is a delightful mix of flavors and sensations. I even tossed in some of the Korean Fried Chicken...next time I order this dish I will order a side of the fried chicken to add to it. For dessert tried the Deep fried Nutella rolls...tempura fried rolls with Nutella and powdered sugar...they are delicious. Also took an order of the Galbi-jjim (braised short ribs) to go, I wish I had taken two servings. You can literally slide the bone out of the rib with no effort, the meat is that tender. The flavors of the meat, sauce, veggies, and rice reminds you of an old school New England Pot Roast with a slight kick. I'm sure this dish takes a lot of work to create...but in the end the outcome is delicious. Great food, friendly service, in a warm and inviting location makes the drive for such great food well worth it!

Authentic, delicious and super friendly! This has become our go to for authentic Korean cuisine. Firstly, it's convenient for us, we like that we can drive down country roads to the restaurant. Second, they are helpful in ordering. The recipes are passed down from the owners grandmother. It's an interesting style of decorating. Country meets Asian . It's clean and pleasant to be there. The tables are clean, the floors are clean, the beverage dispenser is clean. It feels good to eat out and enjoy the space. My husband and I shared our plates. The chicken had so much flavor, we chose the peanut dipping sauce which was perfect in flavor. The pineapple coleslaw is the right side to have. Next time I'm ordering an extra side of that. We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Fried chicken with their scratch made sauces. The citron sauce was out of this world.

The worst part was the meat inside tasted just like cheap breakfast sausage with a small amount of green onion. They were so bad that I told our server, Kristin, how bad they taste, what they taste like, and told her I couldn't eat them. She didn't offer an apology, or offer to take them off the check. She just said, "They are pork." But the correct thing to do in that situation is to remove it from the check. It wasn't eaten, minus the one I bit into and thought the meat tasted funky, so hubs ate a bite and had to spit it out because the meat tasted like it was old breakfast sausage. Kristin was very flippant, and didn't care a bit. We won't be back.

We enjoyed it so much that we went the next day before we left! The food is priced very fairly and the menu has a really fun twist where there isn't the traditional appetizer, main, dessert. Everything is meant to be shared and you're encouraged to try new dishes and choose from anywhere on the menu. I have a peanut allergy and they were very accommodating and automatically made any necessary adjustments to dishes we ordered. We tried a couple different drinks and they were all very good and fairly priced. We went on weekend nights and only had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated indoors, which was to be expected as this place was packed with people and we would have been willing to wait longer if needed. We had two different servers, I unfortunately can't remember our first one's name but she was the one with stretched ears that normally wears her hair up. She was great and very thorough in explaining how the menu worked. The second night we had Lexi and she was super sweet. They were both fantastic and I hope to be seated with either one of them when we eventually go back!

Our server (I believe his name was Mitch) was phenomenal! We started off with the guava girlies, anti-hero, tan lines and good times - our favorites were the guava girlies and the anti- hero. The tan lines didn't have a deep enough flavor profile for us. For food, we got the Caesar salad, the green beans, the tuna crispy rice, the hurricane fries, charred scallion noodles, and burnt end lettuce wraps! Every dish was a hit but our favorites were the green beans (we were obsessed with the sauce) and the burnt end lettuce wraps. We also tried the lipstick marks, second hand smoke (sub mezcal with regular tequila), and guava girlies with tequila - all of these were also delicious! Despite being full, we had to try the dessert and tried the brookie with ube ice cream. We were also surprised with a scoop of pandan ice cream. This may be one of the most unique flavor profiles for a brookie I've ever had and it paired beautifully with the ube and pandan gelato! This was truly a fantastic dining experience and we will definitely be back!

By the bar we got to see some of the dishes being made. Great date night spot. Limited parking. This is a tapas spot and our serve did a good job recommending how many dishes to get. The only reason Noko is not getting 5 stars is because the server said that they would time out the dishes for us, so it was best to place our entire order all at once. However, we got 3 dishes and then it took about 30 minutes for other two to come out. Maybe we were eating too fast but felt like we were waiting a while for our food. The food itself was absolutely delicious. There was nothing we ordered that I did not like. Some favorites include the burnt ends lettuce wraps and Korean chicken wings. The Sando, shrimp and tuna crispy rice was also spectacular. The tuna was so flavorful and refreshing on the tuna crispy rice. The sauce of the east side shrimp really makes the dish. I'm not a huge shrimp person but this was really good. This is a must go to spot in Nashville and would definitely want to come back.

The service was a 10/10--truly superior. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the menu and how almost everything could be ordered as shareable plates. The ambiance was also really nice and made it a great spot for trying several dishes and enjoying the evening. We ordered the plantains, duck tacos, sticky ribs, truffle mac & cheese, gnocchi, and crispy tuna. The STICKY RIBS were absolutely the star of the night! Crispy on the outside, moist and tender inside, plenty of meat, and packed with flavor. Oh my goodness...these alone are worth going back for! I already can't wait to have them again. The duck tacos were another favorite--well seasoned with a crispy wonton shell that gave them the perfect crunch. The crispy tuna was really tasty as well. The gnocchi had a little more sauce than I personally prefer, but it was still very good. The truffle mac & cheese was okay, but fairly average compared with some of the other dishes. The only dish I didn't enjoy was the plantains. They had a combination of sweet, salty, and a little spice that just didn't work for me. And don't skip the drinks! I had a frozen margarita that was DELICIOUS and the perfect addition to the meal. Overall, Kore was a great experience--from the service and atmosphere to several standout dishes. I'm definitely returning, especially for those sticky ribs! If you haven't tried Kore yet, add it to your Nashville list.

We were staying at an Airbnb in East Nashville recently and read about other's very positive…read moreexperiences at Kore so we decided to give it a try! :) Also because of recommendations, we made a reservation ahead of time! After some fairly lengthy confusion at the hostess stand, despite having had a confirmed reservation - it took quite a while for her to decide which table she wanted to give us out of the many open spots. She left us standing there, without explanation, to go put out the placements that seemed necessary to have set before we could sit, then finally came back to take us over to a spot - this didn't feel like a greatest start to the evening. It was very awkward. You know what they say, first impressions are important! Thankfully we were greeted by a very friendly waitress who was very knowledgeable about the menu, both food and drinks! She took great care of us throughout our meal. We dove in with drinks - A Sapporo, they have it on tap, and it's delicious! As well as an Old Fashioned! Both fantastic! It took us a little while to decide which food items we wanted to choose! This is a small plates restaurant so the options are numerous, they all sound so good!! We tried to pick at least one thing from of each category! We decided on the Kalbi dumplings, the Cauliflower, Kalbi Steak, the Crispy tuna, and Gochujang Mole. Every single dish was absolutely amazing and filled with the most rich, full flavors!! My absolute favorite was the crispy tuna! So delicious!! The mole dish - Chorizo, fingerling potato, red onion, red veined sorrel, crema was also next level exceptional! SO much flavor!! Something that was a little strange about our visit, and the reason for only giving 4 stars is this: We made our reservation off of the times offered by the restaurant. We chose 8:30 due to other things we had going on in our day - they offered as late as 8:45. This is the type of place that it's nice to work slowly through the menu and try a few dishes and then order a few more, etc... Unfortunately, right after we placed our initial order we were informed that we would need to have all of our food AND drink orders or refills in to the kitchen within the next 10 mins as the kitchen would be closing. This was too rushed and disappointing for what we were planning on for our dinner. We wished that the restaurant would have been more clear about this when we made the reservation, or at least when we first began perusing the menu. We did not have enough time for what we would have preferred and did not end up ordering any more food or drinks, as we definitely would have - however, what we did try was worth it! I would just HIGHLY suggest going earlier in the evening, much longer before they close!!

From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. The first thing that stood out was their small plate concept, and I absolutely loved it. We ended up trying almost half the menu and loved nearly every dish. A huge shout-out to our server, Nestor. He welcomed us warmly, was cheerful throughout the evening, and his recommendations were spot on. He truly made the dinner even more enjoyable. We started with a couple of mocktails, and the Purple Haze was refreshing and delicious. Here are some of our favorites: MI Cucumber - Smashed cucumber with soy dressing, crunchy chili oil, and cilantro. Simple, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Plantain - Fried plantains topped with sriracha goat cheese, cilantro, and crunchy gremolata. The sriracha goat cheese paired perfectly with the sweet plantains. K-Pop Chicken - Korean sweet and spicy popcorn chicken with great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Dumplings - Homemade steamed dumplings with edamame, truffle, yuzu ponzu, and garlic confit. I really enjoyed the truffle flavor, though it may not be for everyone. Kimchi Bacon Risotto - Caramelized kimchi, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and shrimp. One of the best dishes of the night--perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Crispy Spicy Tuna - Spicy mayo tuna served over crispy rice. This was one of the highlights of the meal. The crispy rice was absolutely perfect. Cauliflower Taco - Crispy cauliflower with guacamole, creamy miso, and tsiran spice. The filling was flavorful, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Lamb Chops - This was the only dish that felt average. The lamb was cooked well, but it was missing a bit of flavor. A little more seasoning, especially some salt, would have really elevated the dish. To finish the meal, we had the Banana Pudding with Vanilla Gelato, which was a delicious and satisfying way to end dinner. Overall, MI Kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, a fun small-plate concept, and outstanding service from Nestor made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

Redemption Tour -- Mostly Successful…read more Full disclosure: I got pretty sick after eating here in 2021 -- my spouse too -- and we swore off the place. To our credit, neither of us left a nasty review at the time; it happens in the restaurant business. But five years of watching them stay busy and still standing convinced me it was probably a one-off, so I gave Soy Bistro another shot. I ordered the Hot Chicken -- pan-seared, chargrilled chicken breast with Korean spices, served with house coleslaw and rice. The restaurant was clean, the service attentive, and a genuine highlight: self-serve beverages with large cups of ice-cold water, which I really appreciated. The coleslaw was crisp with a terrific dressing, and the rice was spot on. The chicken itself was a touch dry and could have really used a dipping sauce to pull it all together. At $15.50 -- closer to $20 after tax and tip, I wasn't wowed by the value on this particular dish. The cheesy skillets were flying out of the kitchen and looked amazing, clearly the crowd favorite for a reason. Next visit I haven't found my dish yet, but I have a pretty good idea where to look.
