We recently bought a home that had some trees that desperately needed some love, and some we weren't sure if they should stay. We initially decided to get rid of the palm and trim the pepper tree. These guys are absolutely amazing. Very nice, very competitive pricing, and always trying to help lower cost where possible and giving deals. They even have offered deferred payment which is awesome if you need work done in a pitch but can't afford it right away. They show up early to work hard, and clean up everything perfectly at the end of the job. But what stood out to me the most was how accommodating these guys are. We asked if they could use the palm stump and scraps to make a sort of table and chairs and they were happy to oblige. I cannot recommend these guys enough. They did such a wonderful job and at the most affordable price. After asking for many quotes, Juan was the easiest to talk to had the best price. He answered every single message of mine so fast. When they came to trim several years worth of old growth on a very very tall queen palm tree, we were so impressed by the bravery and steadfastness with which Juan shimmied up and around the tree, trimming off all the fronds so fast, and careful to avoid hitting the power lines just around it. He took pride in really sculpting the base just below the top, sculpted it like a pineapple. Then he and Jimmy cleaned up every single piece they cut, which was a lot, and even more from our previous palm trimmings. So, unbeknownst to us when we were buying our home, we had been given the responsibility of taking care of plants out of HOA's scope of landscaping. I have been looking for a tree service to come out and trim our honey suckles (7), two fruit trees, and our larger jacaranda. I found A&J when searching for quotes on Yelp and moved forward with them. We had used a previous service who really butchered our trees, but Juan reassured me during our quote that these would be trimmed with a special tool and not a saw. Sure enough they came out and carefully sculpted all of our trees that were extremely over grown/ full. They even went above and beyond by cleaning out our gutter and picking up some fallen leaves in the driveway which was not part of the service. Juan and his crew came over to remove some huge branches that broke from a very large Pine tree adjacent to my back wall, and I can't recommend them highly enough. They were very friendly, professional, and took great care not to further damage the wrought iron fence topping my wall. The best part was that they noticed there were some additional large branches overhanging my garden shed from an adjacent tree, and which could have broken off next and crushed the shed. After getting several quotes, I went with A & J Tree and I'm glad I did. Their quote was reasonable for the amount of work my huge, neglected, but otherwise healthy, pine tree needed. Juan suggested we wait until a colder month to trim for the health of the tree & made it a point to mention that they sanitize their equipment. These little touches showed me how conscientious they are towards the health of the tree; they're not just butchers. We live on a tight street and they were professional & courteous to our neighbors. They lent a neighbor some of their leftover mulch from their wood chipper and was receptive to feedback from our other neighbor next door, who approved! Juan's estimate for how long the job would take was spot-on. He said they'd be there at 7:30am, and would be finished by 2:30pm.
