We enjoyed a vacation in the Afton/Thayne area. Used Yelp to find a nice place for dinner. If you like Asian food, and who doesn't, this place is a gem. Indian, Thai and Phillipino food and even for the none lovers American. But please try the Phillipino dishes. Fantastic! Fresh and surprising! O, and what great and friendly service. As, so often in small towns, don't be scared away from the outside, the inside is very nice. We can really recommend this place. First of all great food. In a place like Afton Wyoming, being able to treat yourself to Goan curry really is a treat. Second is the prices, truly the best value in the valley. Having been in US for 34 years I am always desiring authentic Indian food. Sadly their is a misconception of Indian food being spicy and rich which has altered the Indian food in America for worst. OK, well, 'adequate' is about right. Went with a tikka masala which was a bit odd. Ground Jasmine rice served with Indian food is odd, 'masala' sauce is basically modified condensed tomato soup, and there's no trace of the 'tikka' part of things - just whatever meat you choose in there. The naan choices are garlic, cheese, and plain. Basically this is a pre-made naan with a smear of whatever you choose on one side and fried to heat through. All in all, it's not good Indian food. Especially with Corona as that's the only real choice. So, expect something edible but you've got to adjust your expectations as you're not going to get anything even slightly authentic. Food fits nicely into the 'unknown origin' cuisine category. Still, have had worse and it hit the spot. Just adjust all expectations and lean into what you're gonna get. It's OK stuff. read more

We had breakfast here on a Sunday after staying at Colter's Lodge, and were a little skeptical at first but everything was so good! The hostess and waitress was very friendly, building was clean, food was good, great value, cooked to order with no issues! We both got eggs, meat and hash browns with toast. As a professional tour guide I eat at the restaurants very often. I was very surprised at this place. We traveled with my friend thru the town and wanted to have quick lunch. The restaurant was recommended by a local and the reviews were encouraging but it was a disappointment. Tried the Tapsilog and the steak was tough and bland. The butter chicken I guess is a favorite but it was warm, not hot, and bland. Both rice side dishes were not fully cooked. The garlic naan was cold on the edges and warm in the middle, also soggy. The server was really nice and offered to change out both the meals for something else. We declined. So, the customer service doesn't need any improvement just the quality of the food. So many reviews mentioned it was the place to go for food with flavor but it didn't live up to it. Price is high. read more

Easily the best food in Afton! A great combo of food choices from hearty home made burgers to amazing international dishes, and spectacular breakfasts too. Very reasonable prices, especially when you realize the chef has spent years preparing food on high end cruise ships. We've eaten here many times and will be back for many more.
