Catfish, greens, and red beans and rice
    Nene T.

I've only had their catfish, greens, red beans and rice, mac and cheese, and okra. Very good!!! Once I try something else I'll probably give them the extra star. Small place pretty much need to get your food to go. People are nice. I believe this is my 3rd time trying it.

OMG! Oxtails = TENDER & amazing flavor. Super good greens, smothered pork chops w/ rice and gravy! Fried okra on point. Glad I pulled up after looking at the reviews. Definitely will be back. ***There's a couple tables outside if you're trying to eat right away.

I made a large-ish order for pick up just a few days in advance for a party of 15- (don't be me! Please give this small business more notice!) yet the owner did me a solid, and was able to accommodate our timing and budget with an amazing and generous variety of meats, sides, and a banana pudding pan of dessert! Standouts were the oxtails, smothered turkey wings, fried fish, greens, and cornbread. But seriously, EVERY bite was amazing for party guests that included many grown man appetites that left each satisfied and enough to take some home. I'll say it for the people in the back: High quality soul food should not be cheap! But the quality should always aim to meet the standard of your southern grandma and Fatzo's definitely exceeds the mark on flavors that taste like they put plenty of love and time into each recipe! I can't wait to come back with my husband and dine in with them!

I was in the mood for some soul food and decided to try Fatsoz Kitchen after seeing a lot of advertisements for them on social media. I ordered through DoorDash and it didn't take long for it to be delivered on a Friday night. It smelled really good and the portions are pretty big. We were able to make two meals out of each plate. Overall, everything was flavorful, though would ask for the fish to be fried lightly next time. I would like to try the ox tails next time.

Oxtails rice and gravy, yams and the best collard greens you will ever have.

The best collard greens I have ever had. I don't know what or how he prepared them but they were perfect! Tender, flavorful and delicious! The oxtails were fall off the bone tender and covered in the most delicious gravy served over fluffy white rice perfection. The yams were right! He asked how was the food.. I admitted telling my husband I would work here just to find out the secret to those greens!! He said he gets that a lot! I'm so happy we made it over there finally. The peach lemonade was delicious sweetened just right to me. The basa was crispy and tender seasoned to perfection, the Mac n cheese was a little loose for me..I like mine hugged tight by the cheese but the flavor was on point! The cobbler was cool. I'm a peach cobbler snob, also the peach cobbler maker in my family so it's hard to give it up unless it is fresh out of the oven homemade crispy flaky crunchy crust with the light brown cinnamon colored syrupy peach juice oozing over the top and sides..The weather was perfect for the shaded outside seating option. I will be back guaranteed. I promise if you don't go you are missing a for real treat. Fatsoz comes from a soul food cooking lineage, he has the formula!

Oxtail and gravy hold the rice with yams and mac-n-cheese.

Yesterday I ate Fatsoz kitchen for the second time. The first time I ordered a Basa fish plate with yams and mac. Yesterday I ordered the oxtails. The oxtails comes with rice, gravy and two sides. I opted to pass on the rice. Both times ordering was a breeze. I walked in and ordered the first day. I called in an order the second day. Both times it was easy, ready on time, and the young lady taking the order was absolutely pleasant. This is a family owned and operated business and you can tell! They warmly greet you when you come in and they take pride in the quality of your meal. Price: Lets be real. The price is fair for the amount of food and the quality ingredients. In comparison to other soul food spots, the price point is comparable but the AMOUNT of food is crazy. (We are a family that pays attention to serving sizes) my oxtail plate was enough for me and two kiddos. My husband may have been able to finish it alone. The basa plate was the same. I also want to add that the cornbread was the best I have ever had at a restaurant. Location: The location is convenient and there is sufficient room for parking. The location does not allow dine in. I expect as this company grows so will the space. Cons: I always try to find an opportunity for improvement. To be very frank, I cannot think of anything substantial. Most of the time when people package to-go orders it's thrown together, it leaks and it's a mess. The team at Fatsoz handed my meals perfectly packed, balanced and even in included a mint. Those thoughtful touches is why I love family businesses!

A lot people have been mentioning this place on TikTok and after seeing the visuals I wanted to come out here and try it myself. The place is located in a strip mall with lots of parking. We went inside and while there is no pace to eat inside you can eat outside in front of the tabs there are some table and chairs available. We chose to eat one of our orders there as I was starving and take the other order home for later. We ordered smothered oxtails with mac n cheese and potato salad as they were out of collard greens sadly and came with corn bread muffin. And to eat there we got the fried basa sandwich with fries. Be prepared to wait as they make it to order. We grabbed a table outside to wait. Our food was brought to us outside all packaged up nicely. We got To work on eating our sandwich. I liked it and hubby felt like it needed more seasoning and the fries were good too. As for the smothered oxtails, I thought it was good but prefer more gravy. The potato salad and corn bread were delicious but I did not care for the mac n cheese. I do want to come back and try their desserts and the smothered pork chops though.

Soul food takes time and when I don't feel like slaving in the kitchen for hours to get the amazing taste of home, it's nice to be able to go to Fatsoz for all of my soul food favorites . Every time I come into this place I feel welcomed as if I'm a part of the family. I wish they had the space to welcome inside diners simply because the vibes and the food is so good I'd love to stay longer while enjoying my food. This is a to-go only place with a few tables available for outside seating if the weather is right. There's lots of things I haven't tried yet but my favorites so far are; fried chicken, Mac & cheese, red beans and rice, collard greens, and peach cobbler! I encourage everyone to try this place and follow them on IG to catch their weekly specials like lasagna (another fav). I hope this business continues to do well as it is a great gift to have a soul food restaurant like this in Suisun.

Just tried Fatsoz Kitchen for the first time and their Smothered Oxtail over Rice w/Gravy was sooo damn delicious (Nice size portion too)! Collard Greens, FIRE! Chicken Wings, FIRE! Mac'n'Cheese, FIRE! Cornbread, FIRE! Red Beans and Rice, you guessed it...FIRE! I'll have to try their Fried Catfish or Basa for my next visit. Really regretting that I didn't grab their Banana Pudding or Peach Cobbler. Next visit will most likely be tomorrow for lunch! Not even playin'! Go check it out!!!

The establishment had snacks, drinks, clothes, fresh ginger, frozen fresh fish, oils, ice cream, soaps...you name it! They had it! When it was time to order, I told them I was skeptical of the goat and was thinking about passing on the chicken this time. BUT he insisted...and when he showed me the chicken, it looked and smelled amazing!!! So I said what the heck! I went from only getting 2 beef patties to buying 2 stewed chicken plates ($15), 4 patties ($3.75 each), 1 festival bread ($0.99) and 2 coco breads ($2.75 each) for a total of about ($60-$65). Everything was a 10/10!!!! No kidding!!!! We also got 2 mango drinks (less than $5 for both) and a pack of sherly cookies ($2.50). One of the drinks was 100% juice, and they had many other traditional Jamaican beverages as well as non-alcoholic drinks. I live in the Berkeley area but I will be making the drive again and again!! I've been here twice now, and feel this is an honest assessment of what to expect Staff: Extremely courteous and helpful. I've felt welcomed from the very first instance I've come through the door. Food: On both occasions I've had the Fried Chicken and Fried Catfish, along with some French Fries. While I think the Fried Chicken is good, it just doesn't hit me the way I would like. While it is cooked perfectly inside and out, it just lacks something for me. The Fried Catfish on the other hand, is on point. Cooked perfectly again and just wonderful flavor and seasoning. Fries are right up there, too. I haven't tried anything else at this point, but I imagine that there are probably no real disappointments from here. I'm a big boy and portions are more than enough. Ambience: I had to mark this down a bit. While it is not bad, it's nothing special either. Tables and chairs, and a few decorations and TVs. The place is extremely clean which is something you can never take for granted. Intangibles: The Owner...This guy is full of energy and just puts out a real positive vibe. He knows customers by name, and just seeing the repeat customers tells me the place is good. After both visits my interactions with him just leave me feeling good, which is something that's hard to find these days. Definitely a spot that's on my consistent "go to" list now.

The fried catfish and fried chicken never disappoint and are always go to items for us. And that crawfish étouffée still has a strong hold on me. Them greens are always soft and tender, well seasoned with all that deliciousness you get from the smoked meat. I believe they use smoked turkey, but whatever they're doing, keep doing it. If you like fried okra, definitely place an order. And them candied yams got emphasis on candied bc they are in a different side-item class -- dessert posing as a side item? If you're a mac&cheese fan, all that cheesy goodness might make your inner child squeal. We literally watched that happen last night when a kid at the table next to us saw their mac & cheese arrive. Happy dance moment. And man, I do love me some hot peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Just don't come expecting some solid crust bc there isn't one. That would make it a pie. Although I would not object whatsoever if they decided to make a peach pie cosplay as a cobbler. But what really stood out during this visit wasn't all the deliciousness that graced our table. It was the service. We had at least three different people stop by to check on us throughout dinner, and that didn't even include our waitress, Ivanna. And let me tell you about Ivanna bc she deserves all the praise. She was warm, attentive, friendly and completely on her service game. We never had to hunt her down or wonder where she disappeared to. Between Ivanna and everyone else checking on the table, we felt very well taken care of. Everyone and everything was wonderful last night. We're happy to see a longtime family favorite continue on as Che'yla's and even happier that the food we've loved all these years is still coming out of their family kitchen.
