This is my new go to Italian spot! I found them on Grubhub looking for something quick and delicious and this hit both nails on the head! Authentic Italian pizza with fresh ingredients. The dough is flavorful with the perfect cheese ratio! Sadly I didn't get a picture it got devoured way too quickly.I also ordered a delicious slice of chocolate cake that came with fresh fruit. So good!! Probably the best bought chocolate cake I've ever had. Moist , full of flavor, and not overly sweet. Next time I'll do pick up directly from the restaurant S it was a bit pricy through Grubhub, but it was well worth the money. A definite must try! They will be seeing a lot more of me lol read more

What a wonderful pizzeria. Set just east of the square in downtown Greenville it offers a great place to be on weekends with the market just next door. They have a Delicious selection of pizza with both white and red sauces. And a decent selection of beverages to boot. And if you go there, you must try the bruschetta, it is literally the best I've ever had. The service is outstanding, and the servers worked together to make sure we were never in need. Not overbearing at all, just very observant, polite, and hospitable. It was a delightful experience with me and my wife on the sunny warm day, eating out on the patio. Fatto A Mano is my favorite restaurant in all of Greenville and might just be my favorite Italian restaurant of all time. The foundation of their amazing food starts with the perfect red sauce and you can't go wrong ordering any of their classic Italian dishes. My personal favorites are the gnocchi, lasagna, and chicken Parmesan! My family eats here every time we are in town and the servers are always so helpful and make great recommendations. I love to come here when they have their weekend specials so we can try something new every time. We often sit out on the patio and enjoy the nice weather, sometimes you might even catch a live show going on in their parking lot! I was really looking forward to trying Fato a Mano, hoping it was my last hope for good pizza in Greenville, but unfortunately, our experience was frustrating from start to finish. We were told our order would be ready in 25 minutes -- no problem. However, that wait turned into 45 minutes as we watched several customers who arrived after us receive their food first. When I finally went in to check, I was told the server who took our order had "run out to get more wine" and that our pizza had "been sitting for a while." Seriously? Nobody stopped to think "Hey, those people have been here for 45 minutes. At the same table. No food or drinks. Just waiting. Maybe they need something?" By the time we received our food, it was lukewarm at best -- and sadly, not worth the wait. The pizza was subpar, lacking the freshness and flavor you'd expect from a place that positions itself as artisan. I don't mind waiting when the service is honest and the food is worth it. We've really grown fond of Fatto here in Greenville, for the only Woodfired Pizza in Greenville Texas and other Italian food. But tonight I got very discouraged after waiting over an hour at the bar for a Togo order nursing 2 beers to get burnt black crust on 1 pizza and no extra basil on either pizza after paying for it. We've always gotten whole or partially torn basil leaves added after the pizza comes out of the oven and served. Tonight it was chopped beyond recognition and cooked on the pizza. Where's the consistency? We have been spoiled by Cavallis and Cane Rossos Woodfired Pizza so our bar is set high. It doesn't take 1 hour for 2 16 inch Woodfired Pizzas to go. Napoletana Woodfired Pizza cooks in 60-90 seconds so maybe Fatto needs to upgrade to a Dedicated Pizza Only Oven! read more

We drove to the Greenville area to pick strawberries on a farm so the little one would learn where strawberries come from, she thought they grow on a tree. After strawberries, we ventured to "downtown" Greenville and found this pizza place. Not that many places were open downtown on a Saturday. The wife and I started with side salads and they were good. Came out quickly and had lots of veggies other than lettuce. Mine could have used more dressing but the salad was cold and fresh so I enjoyed it. We got a plain cheese pizza for the kids, and I tasted a piece. The dough was not exactly thin crust but thin enough and it had good flavor. One kid did not like it but she is super picky and probably was objecting to the fact it was not pizza from her favorite pizza place, Fireside. The other kid had no complaints. The wife and I shared a Downtown which had roasted tomatoes, basil, mushrooms, and prosciutto. The flavors melded nicely and it was a good pie. The center was a big soggy but it was edible with a knife and fork. For dessert, the kids had chocolate ice cream which had a deep chocolate flavor so they liked it. Service was friendly and efficient. Food came out on a timely basis. I don't know when or if we will be in Greenville, TX again, but I would definitely eat here again. read more

We stayed in Greenville this past weekend and we're delighted to find this little gem. In a town full of fast food, we desperately wanted something made fresh. Read a Yelp review and decided to give Fatto a Mano a try. We were so happy we did. Delicious hand made thin crust pizzas . We got the Washington Street and a classic pepperoni , two side salads and a couple local IPAs. They offer pastas and sandwiches as well. Our only complaint is that we didn't find this place the night before. The service was great and all staff were friendly. They have multiple TVs so you can watch whatever home team game is on. New Find! Yum. The title says everything hand made and it was very good. Mom and I tried the side salad, Downtown pizza, and Italian Hoagie. All great...the pizza was kinda burnt underneath but I think that's how most homestyle Italian pizzas will come. Right? Dessert looked good but we passed on that tonight. We've been in Hunt County for about a year and a half now. I am SO happy to have another alternative to the chain restaurants! Yes, the service was a little slow but they're new and working things out. We originally wanted a pizza but we were warned that the pizzas were a little slow today so we ordered an eggplant Parmesan sandwich and the meatball sandwich special. They were both delicious!! I tried the Cobb Salad at Fatto A Mano Pizzeria for the third time, hoping it was a charm. No such luck. The menu lists the following ingredients: Field greens Chopped egg Cherry tomatoes Bacon Avocado Chicken with avocado ranch vinaigrette I made sure to check the ingredients because I didn't want anything in my salad other than what was listed-such as raw red onions, and cucumbers, which were in the Cobb Salad the second time I had ordered it. The nice server said that there were no onions in the salad. Imagine my disappointment when the salad placed before me had sliced banana peppers, cucumber chunks and whole pitted black olives! And if that wasn't bad enough, there were no cherry tomatoes and no bacon. There was , however, blue cheese which is normally found in a Cobb Salad, but was not listed as an ingredient on the menu. When I asked the server about the ingredients that weren't supposed to be in my salad, she very politely apologized, offered to bring it back to the cook and have those ingredients which were all just placed on top-taken off. I thanked her but said I'd remove them myself and she brought me a plate and spoon. Who knew what else I was going to find in there and I didn't want to trouble her. I mentioned my confusion as to why those ingredients would be in the salad and her reply was "Well, sometimes the chef just adds additional ingredients." WRONG. I dislike cucumbers and banana peppers and didn't want olives. I wanted what was promised on the menu. The greens were fine, as was the vinaigrette, but the chicken was inconsistent. Some chunks were moist and tasty, others very dry with brown dried edges, like it was chicken from a week ago... The vinaigrette was ranch dressing. No detection of avocado, but it tasted fine. Eventually the owner came over to our table (we had not asked for him to), did not introduce himself or offer his hand. He said hello and that he was told there was a problem with my salad, apologized and then asked what was wrong with it. I proceeded to very nicely and calmly explain that it had the three ingredients (mentioned above) and that they are not on the menu description. He replied "I'm the owner. If I listed every ingredient of my dishes it would be pages long. RIDICULOUS. I'm not asking for the tomato sauce recipe... he repeated himself as I tried to explain that if you're going to put cucumbers & peppers (which do not belong in a Cobb Salad BTW), then why not just include that in the description? Again he said that he would never list every ingredient in a dish. We were getting no where. He did agree that my salad should of had cherry tomatoes and bacon, apologized for them not being in the salad, and that he was not going to charge me for the salad. Good decision... My husband had the Chicken Parmesan with Angle Hair Pasta, which he enjoyed, minus the watery sauce. The pasta wasn't drained properly and thus the nice tomato sauce was watered down. Not the end of the world, but after the salad fiasco, we won't be going back. Note to Owner: If you're out of an ingredient, have your server mention that when your customer places the order. The first time I had a Cobb Salad there, it came with out avocado-a main ingredient! The server apologized for forgetting to tell me that they were out of avocados when I placed my order. Things happen. Suppliers run out of things, but don't just toss other ingredients in and not expect your customer to grin and bare it. Don't insult me by saying you can't list every ingredient. Just apologize, comp the customer and hope they come back. We won't be. On another note, their chairs are not comfortable. I only mention this because Yelp inquires about the ambiance. read more

The family tried out the Cheesy Bread as the appetizer, which was on point. I nice bit of pesto and delicious marinara ensured each piece was devoured. I tried the Mama Mia Pizza which is to have a spicy marinara and a chili honey drizzle. The spice could definitely be amped up a notch or two for a more flavorful pizza. I was pretty excited to hear that Greenville, Texas was getting a new pizzeria. There are only the big chain pizza places in town barring a small chain called Peddler's Pizza (which has sadly gone downhill)... The entire town waited patiently as they remodeled an existing restaurant. We all started getting more impatient as opening day neared... but then the doors opened and we were ready for something new. Now mind you, I've been in and out of the pizza business since the late 1980s, working for the Big Three and small joints from Detroit to South Carolina, so I'm pretty hard with my reviews, but my motto has always been; "there is no such thing as a bad pizza, just better pizza." Unless there is NO pizza. As my photo shows.. there is still NO PIZZA FOR ME from Fatto a Mano's, but not for my lack of trying. I tried a topping in a day or two after they opened and was told they didn't have anymore dough. Awesome I thought to myself, they must serve up a wicked pie. I called a week later, hoping they were on track, nope just a voicemail... so I left a message. No response. Okay... we'll try again the next day. Again, voicemail and no response from anyone. Now, the first time I was denied a pie was fine, I get it. You got slayed and are out of everything. Can't serve what you don't have. The second and third times I tried, maybe they were overlooked, the manager didn't know to access the voicemail, or the owner was too busy. Still not acceptable, but I've opened a few places in my time, so I know how it is. The kicker that sent me over the edge was what happened today. I thought, you know what? I'm gonna stop in at 3ish pm and see if I can order two pies to pick-up on my way home,, around 6ish. I could pay for them in advance and just retrieve and all would be good. Yeah... that wasn't a good idea either. I opened the door (it was unlocked after all) and there were people sitting at a table... so I naturally thought... this is a good sign of achieving my first "taste" of the new place. Again, my thoughts were rebuffed by a man lounging at the table. "I'm sorry sir... we're closed. We won't be open until 5." Hmmm... "Okay" I replied; "Will you be answering your phones then, since all I have gotten has be voicemails?" Yep, we will be trying. Awesome I thought as I left... As a manager of several restaurants in the past, if the restaurant is closed and employees are lounging in the dining room... lock the doors and put up a sign. Customers feel awkward when they walk in and a table full of people look up like; "Yeah, you don't belong here." So, I jump in the truck a little miffed, but still resolved to give them a chance. So I called at 5:30 and got an answer on the 2nd ring... excellent. Maybe my luck is s changing, but as I started out on my desire for two pies (one white/one red) I was met by my next challenge. "I'm sorry sir, we're doing dine in only." Really? Dine in only? You mean I can't get two to pick up. The answer was NO! So what you see in the photo, is what I got at Fatto a Mano's... a Big Fat NOTHING over the course of SEVERAL weeks of waiting for the new place to open and get things straightened out. Yes... I'm a little pissy at the moment, but I did give them 2 stars. That's because they at least managed to open the restaurant, but that's about all they have managed, besides losing a customer... I hope they survive the harshness of Greenvillians as they continue to try and get this place going, but I have my doubts already. They also better hope that a real pizza joint doesn't manage to open in the mean time... because that's what's really needed in this town. One unhappy and potential customer. read more

Thought this place had great potential. Pizza is *excellent* but sadly no lactose free options so I could only have a bite. Sad. The panzanella salad was very underwhelming. It's a great low carb option but it needed some salt to give it some punch. The dressing was very bland, did not like the avocado addition. A warm tomato vinaigrette or something tangy would have been better. Loved the beets but the grilled bread pieces were basically croutons. Was too pumped up for this it let me down. Panzanella is a fave and rarely seen on menus We came at a busy time so... It took forever. The waitress was sweet but she seemed overrun. With some squirrelly tired hot kids, it was not wonderful. Very expensive as well. The interior is *incredible*! Love the vibe here. read more

This place is excellent! It has a medium size menu with a daily special. A little pricey but very good food. Strict hours of operation but other than that really like going here. In Greenville, TX?? Really???? Fantastic Italian food to the point that you won't believe it! Nothing against Greenville, but there's no other restaurant even close to these guys anywhere in 50+ miles! The wine list is even great! The inside is inviting and the staff was Super friendly. I would hang out with these people outside of the restaurant, because I had such a good time talking with them while I was waiting on my to-go order. I can't recommend this place enough! If you live anywhere near Greenville and you haven't been, then you should Absolutely go! If you just love great Italian food and you live in Dallas, it's worth the drive! We ordered (to-go) the 16" Lee Street pizza, which was disappointing to say the least. The edges of the pizza were crisp, but the center was so grease filled and floppy that it fell apart when we picked up the pieces. The toppings were haphazardly thrown on, so some pieces had toppings and some did not. Taste was mediocre. The Italian cake would have been good if it wasnt stale. The flavor of the icing was actually really good but the cake itself was hard and stale. The strawberry Gelato was DECLICIOUS which is the only reason I left two stars instead of one. Overall, we were extremely disappointed in the quality for the price and we will not be ordering here again. read more

We have been here several times and have always been mostly satisfied with our entire experience. Tonight was just an average experience. Just wanting to point out a few things to management. Food is very good except the cheesecake. The restaurant will do well if their service staff improves SIGNIFICANTLY. We had a party of 8 and before our server took our order, she said "Well, this should be fun!" implying she didn't enjoy large parties. When asked if they had sparkling water, she handed me a photocopy of their drink list. They supposedly ran out of house wine and tried to present the check without offering us the option to have dessert. I've wanted to try Fatto A Mano for a few months, but the last time we tried to go in a Friday night and it was over an hour wait. This time we went on Monday for lunch and walked right in. This restaurant is a great addition to Greenville with great quality Italian Food. It reminded me of the pizza restaurants we went to on our trips to New York. They have a great selection or red sauce and white sauce pizza. My husband and I split the 12 inch pizza and it was plenty. We also ordered the side salad, my only complaint was I wish the salad had croutons.
