The chef (possibly the owner) takes great pride in his food quality and he typically takes the time to meet his customers asking them whether they were happy with the food. This is the best Mediterranean food I've had in the area and the desserts are delicious. The service is fantastic: the owner is super friendly and makes a point to come around and check up on how you are doing and the servers are attentive. As for food, I've been here a few times and my partner has been numerous times for lunch and dinner and reported back; I really don't think that you can go wrong with anything you order. The hummus is light and perfectly creamy. Baba ganoush has the right amount of smokiness. They make the breads here and they are the perfect texture, light and soft. I've had falafel as both a part of the sampler plate as well as a sandwich it is literally the best falafel I've ever had. I admit I keep having the same side (fatoush salad) because all the elements are a lovely balance of flavors. They make their own iced tea here. It's got a great flDessert is definitely worth it and if you're stuffed, I strongly recommended that you order it to go! Had a Chicken Shawarma wrap at the suggestion of the sweet girl at the counter and she did not steer me wrong. Wonderfully spiced wrap with a ton of chicken and an explosion of flavor...healthy flavor...garlicky, cinnamonny, deliciousness with a tangy pickle finish...YUM! It came with a side and I chose their namesake Fattoush salad...which was a very generous portion of freshly cubed cucumber, sliced fresh radish, bell pepper, lettuce and more with a heavy sprinkling of sumac, lemon juice and olive oil and a nice crunch of freshly fried crisps. also YUM! and refreshing! For later I grabbed a hummus app which I couldn't resist tasting after the very tasty lunch. I snuck a couple of scoops, and found it to be just as good as the other two items. Very smooth, lemony and garlicky, and high quality, with a nice bunch of veggies to dip as well as thin fresh pita wedges a plenty...will surely enjoy this later. I happen to like Mediterranean food a lot. And this place was extremely good. It's located on the same strip as the Mandarin Chinese Restaurant. It's run by a husband and wife team and they are extremely friendly. Went there with friends who are very picky about what they eat and we all gave it a thumbs up. Plus it's a BYOB................. The Falafel and gyro were great. Surprisingly my husband raved about the baba ganoush in the sampler. The lamb and chicken platter were delicious. And the baklava was devine. No drippy, soppy honey running all over the plate. It was crisp and flavorful without being goopy. And surprise the shortbread lemon bars were perfect. Not really Mediterranean food, but who cares. I dropped a star because I was disappointed in the Kibbe and Chicken Shwarma wrap. Hmmm, considering everything else really shines these two dishes are something I will avoid when I go back. Terrific creative delicious Mediterranean food by owner chef Roger who used to run a restaurant in West Chester; he greets customers and sincerely is interested in your satisfaction. Maitre'd Krista is wonderful, and creates an enjoyable dining experience. We had the shrimp special, and because he was running low at end of day, he reduced the price --- what honesty and consideration! This place is wonderful! I'm Mediterranean/Greek/Lebanese food lover. I've eaten here at least six times in the last four months (always for dinner) and ordered takeout twice. Menu was a little limited at first but has expanded in recent weeks. Everything I've tried has been first rate. I'll highlight a few of the dishes I've had that I think are truly exceptional: Baba Ghanoush, the best I've ever had, it has a smoky aroma that makes it exceptional. Falafel, perfectly cooked, crispy outside, creamy inside, with a seasoning blend that sets them apart. Again, the best I've ever had. Tabbouleh Salad, super fresh with flavors jumping at you. If you're not a parsley lover, you should pass because it's heavy on the parsley, which I love but my wife, not so much. Lentil Soup, a Mediterranean staple, done with great finesse and flavor here. Lamb Gyro, if you're expecting something sliced off a rotisserie spit, good though that can be when done well, you're going to be surprised. This is fresh lamb, marinated and cooked on premises. Juicy and succulent, it will blow your mind (or, at least your tastebuds.) Mediterranean Chicken Platter, my wife had this and gave me a taste after oohing and ahhing over it. Based on that one taste I'm going to try it next time I dine there. Service: friendly without being intrusive. Finally, a comment on the negative reviews I've seen on YELP. I take them as being honest assessments of their experiences. I'm not a Mediterranean native but I've been eating this food (good and not so good) for thirty years and this place is at the top of the heap in my experience. I'm mystified at what the quality variability could be with the bad experiences because, I think, the boss is always in the kitchen doing the cooking. We are fortunate that there are many alternatives for this kind of food in our area. Some that have been mentioned in reviews are Grapevine and Olive Tree in Downingtown and Aroma in Devon. They are all excellent Mediterranean cuisine restaurants and I eat at them frequently. Fatoush is every bit as good as these and in some ways out paces them. This is my favorite Mediterranean place in the area. I've eaten multiple dishes off the menu and have never been disappointed. The Beef Shawarma has consistently been cooked to perfection and the kitchen staff is flexible with customizing your order. The staff is nothing short of amazing, providing a comfortable and warm atmosphere. The best part about it is that the owner comes out and asks how things are. He wants your honest input in order to constantly make his restaurant better. This should definitely go on your list of places to try!
