Nothing could be better than enjoying a stunning and special edition Chocolate Nest Cake from Faubourg with families. Faubourg Paris is a signature French bakery shop in Kerrisdale. They serve incredible pâtisserie, viennoiseries, and macarons. You know there's nothing like seeing the smile on the kids' faces. A box of assorted macarons and a cake can do the magic. Chocolate Nest Cake It has layers of dulce de leche mousse, passion fruit gelée, blackout chocolate cake and chocolate crémeux. It is rich, moist, and sweet. Definitely will satisfy a sweet tooth! Food: 4/5 Should Try! Service: ‍‍4/5 ‍‍(friendly staff and quick customer service) Kids: 5/5 Woohoo! (Kids love their macarons.) Great neighborhood cafe bakery. I just started my day with a good brewed coffee and tasty almond croissant. Server was friendly and attentive.

A Parisian patisserie chain in Vancouver. This Kerrisdale location is delightful, with a full display case and offerings, and a small dining area. With an array of savoury and sweet pastries, cakes, quiche, sandwiches, and crepes - there's something for everyone. The small beautifully crafted cakes and macarons make perfect gift items for friends and family. Pretty coming coffee options here. Nothing spectacular on that front, but nice to have the hot beverage to pair with a pastry. Their website offers online ordering for pick-up and delivery!

Quiet coffee shop in Kerrisdale area part of Faubourg chain in Vancouver. I find this location always looks a little sparse for its offerings in the window and display for pastries and cakes at any time of the day. There's are only two croissants and other baked items and 2-4 cakes on display. Doesn't scream a lot of availability for pastry and other items here. We tried the ham and cheese croissant, crepes with white chocolate and banana, espresso and teas. Croissant didn't really feel French bakery level. Filling very sparse one thin piece of ham. Crepe was nicely done but could've used some accompaniments and better presentation. Interior is a good size and attempts to resemble a salon at the back with Louis chairs and mirrors on wall. Overall average cafe in the area.

Very cute cafe right in the heart of Vancouver. We were strolling after shopping and decided to have something to cool off. They have very delicious homemade strawberry lemonade and cake mini trio was just soooo cute not to take it. I highly recommend this cafe. We had amazing table outside to enjoy beautiful day.

Who knew cake would look like a piece of art! faubourg bKery has amazing pastries, sweets, sandwiches, beverages, AND they sell whole cakes!! A great place to get a taste of France. Mixed berry charlotte cake, 6 inch - $44, 8.5/10: Layers of mousse, raspberry jelly, and chocolate cream wrapped around with homemade ladyfingers! It was very smooth and surprisingly light because mousse is usually more dense. The ladyfingers wasn't too dry bringing out a sponge-like texture too. Not the biggest fan of the jelly although it adds some extra flavour since the berry flavour was subtle. Beautifully presented and it's not too sweet. Whole cakes at Faubourg Bakery are only available for preorder online for pickup or delivery. It's easy & convenient! For all of their items you can always walk in to buy for takeout, or dine in however seating is limited.

We usually end up here after a long day of chores. The smell of baked goods and caffeine always brings us in! We usually get an iced mocha with oat milk and a pump of lavender with an extra shot. Sometimes, we get something sweet and other times we crave for something savoury! We found out about this place through DoorDash and since then, our peak of curiosity had us promising we'd drop by once we get a chance to visit the physical store and to shop around more! Once we come in, we usually get more than what we think we come for, like we think it's only for coffee but even their freshly baked baguettes are AMAZING for homemade sandwiches! They hit the perfect spot for our sweet tooth and savoury one too!! Until then!!!

I tried the Easter Dulce de leche cake along with some other small cakes and the flavors are clean and delightful. I've been to some bakeries in the past where they focused too much on the aesthetics and the cake itself didn't taste good. I was glad that they Faubourg had delicious cakes as well as some really nice aesthetics where its almost a shame to eat such beautiful artwork!

I always like browsing Faubourg's pretty display of baked goods, sweet desserts, and of course their macarons in their sunny little cafe. However, their food always looks better than they taste; not to say it doesn't taste good, they just look so nice you'd think it would taste more impressive, but no, you get pretty average croissants, sandwiches, and desserts, including their macarons. This location also offers sit down service meals in their windowless back nook. They serve high tea there, sometimes lunch (but think they've stopped?), and dinner on some nights. Because they keep changing what the back space is for, I've found it confusing if certain services are running there anymore so best to call and enquire. Also, I've found their service extremely slow and sometimes they forget your order. Even with their slow service, I do miss Faubourg's choice of Pink and Purple High Tea sets. They used to be one of my favorite places for High Tea since sometimes different people in our group only want a smaller set and others want the big set but still want to experience high tea together. Now they've changed it to just one option and I haven't been back for high tea since as they are now like other places.

I was in serious need of a midday pick me up and as I was walking to my car I stumbled upon the bright orange exterior of Faubourg, so I walked in. I initially came in just for a coffee, but after seeing all the baked goods, I couldn't help but pick up a few things (for myself and my family). I'm not usually a sweets person, but I was intrigued by their beautiful mini desserts and macaron flavours. I ended up getting a mini creme brulee cheesecake, a chocolate croissant, and six macarons (two each of the Faubourg special, lavender earl grey, and raspberry rose). When I got home, I enjoyed my croissant which was flakey and delicious. My parents said that they enjoyed the creme brulee cheesecake. They did mention that the "creme brulee" top didn't seem as fresh because it wasn't hard as a regular creme brulee top would be. As for the macarons, the lavender earl grey was my favourite. I love that all three flavours had a nice floral aftertaste. On top of the sweet treats, I picked up an iced americano, which hit the spot perfectly. The lady working was so sweet and helpful and made sure that all my goodies were packed up nicely. If I wasn't in such a rush, I would've loved to sit down and enjoy my croissant and coffee. This is definitely a cute spot along Kerrisdale to grab a coffee and treat! I'm glad their bright neon exterior caught my eye!

HAVE AGAIN: the 3-chocolate mousse was very good. Croissants were good but not great.

What I love most is their balance -- the cakes are not overly sweet, yet still rich, creamy, and full of flavour. The tiramisu is smooth and light with just the right coffee kick, while the cheesecake is velvety, indulgent, and melts in your mouth without feeling heavy. Perfect if you enjoy desserts that feel elevated and thoughtfully made, not sugar bombs. Definitely a go-to spot when I want cake that tastes as good as it looks. Best for: Not-too-sweet dessert lovers, celebrations, and cheat-day treats done right.

The cake itself was moist and bouncy. The cream was light and airy. We particularly like their mango and lychee rose cake. The mangos were ripe and sweet. The lychee rose cake had chucks of lychee in between the cake layers with a subtle hint of rose petal that complimented well with the lychee. Everything was scrumptious and it definitely caters to an Asian palate as it wasn't too sweet but just the right amount that you won't feel too heavy after devouring all 3 pieces of cakes! This is a gem and I will definitely be back for more of their delicious treats!

It was a huge hit with everyone! The 6 inch cake was $69 and I added a customized birthday message on chocolate for an extra $3 which was a nice personal touch. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll want to order online well in advance because their cakes sell out quickly. I can definitely see why. They're fantastic! I'll be ordering from Gary's Patisserie again for future celebrations.

Gary's only allows to order the fresh mango cakes up to one week ahead to ensure they have enough ripe mangos, which I admire their dedication. We ordered the 6 inch cake for 9 people (7 adults and 2 kids) and everyone got a thin to average slice. The cake is definitely prettier than the other fresh mango cakes on the market, has a lot more mangos that are perfectly ripe and sweet, there is less wipped cream, and the sponge cake is softer. The family agreed that Gary's has the best fresh mango cake but at $69 for a 6 inch cake, versus $43 for a 6 inch mango cake from Saint Germaine, a cake from Gary's is definitely a treat and for special occasions. Is Gary's worth the premium price? I think so but not everyone in my family agreed. One thing to note: Gary's do offer cake in a jar that's $8.50 each. When we went, they had a BOGO deal with the mango cake jars. My nephew asked my sister to buy the BOGO deal knowing that the 6 inch cake was not going to be enough, as the kids like having a second slice of cake.

What a lovely little café/bakery! Emphasis on lovely, and emphasis on little…read more I met a friend here today for a coffee. She lives in the area so has been here many times before. She said the cakes are wonderful and she orders them here for special occasions. Of course, it was all new to me, so I checked out the display of gorgeous cakes and tarts, and the platters of various cookies and pastries, too. The cakes seemed to be priced from $35-50, which I know is on a par with cake pricing in the city. They all looked beautiful. The small tarts looked to-die-for, but they were $9. That's a lot more than the tarts I've seen anywhere else, really, so I steered away from those. I got a croissant for $4 and a chai latte for $4.50. The croissant was ok. Not the fluffiest I've ever had, but okay. The chai latte was fantastic, one of the best I've had, really. And at the cash they had a plate of gold foiled-covered large homemade caramels, and I got two. Just had one just now and OMG, if you like caramel (as I do), you MUST try these. Truly unbelievably good! As I mentioned in my first paragraph, this place is quite tiny. Like, they had three small tables that seat two people each. (Maybe four, but I think three). So if you plan on meeting a friend for coffee here and dining inside, I'd recommend going at an off-time, for sure. (If it's nice out, there'd be some seating outside. But hey, winter is upon us). One added benefit here: there is plenty of free street parking, all around the cafe. Nice!
