I try to come here once every week or every other week, I'm slowly making my way through their whole menu, but so far, the burgers are great, I love the fries and onion rings, they have an and exellent fry sauce. the appetizers are tasty and well sized, but the best part about fay's is that everything is made to order, so you know its fresh. because of that the wait time is longer than what you'd expect if you are used to fast food places, but its absolutely worth it. Their prices are also very fair, I'd highly recommend trying it. I'd give it a 4.5. read more

First timer at Fay's Cafe, I love trying new places. I took my daughter here for lunch. Menu was kind hard because there is nothing listed under any of the burgers, just the names, so you have no clue what's on them, besides the obvious hamburger and cheese burger. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, an order of crab rangoons to share, and a mountain dew. My daughter ordered a hamburger and fries with a chocolate milkshake. The rangoons were actually really good, lots of filling but kind of burned. My burger was ok but it was covered in seasoning salt, it was pretty much the only thing I could taste. My daughter really like her burger and fries. Her milkshake was good, but was really really thick, almost too much chocolate. The soda tasted like carbon water and not mountain dew. This place is great! The food is fresh and tasty, the staff are very friendly, plenty of parking. Everything you want in an "old school" burger joint It's very much got that 50's drive in vibe. The inside is clean an vibrant with bright red paint and the walls are decorated with vintage photos of classic burger restaurants. The menu is large enough to have something for everyone, but not so big that you get overwhelmed trying to decide. Ordered Fays for the first time on Door Dash, ordered 2 orders of fried pickles because my daughter wanted some too. They give you 6 per order. Ordered some tots, mozzarella sticks,and some fish. Love that their mozzarella sticks are made there, these aren't frozen ones. The fried pickles were good but messy and greasy. The fish which was cod was very good as well. So, because of all the love and support Fay's Cafe has gotten on here, I wanted to show my support too. My younger brother and I decided to patronize and show our support.et me start by saying, the construction is ridiculous. It blocks several streets I can see why it's hindering business. I don't work for the city, so I am obviously a layman, but I definitely feel the city could have planned this out better. That out of the way, Fay's Cafe.. this place is special. Greeted by a very friendly young lady who explained menu items and told us how everything is made from scratch. Fay is a kind woman working very hard in the back. My brother and I had two beef sandwiches on garlic sourdough with an order of onion rings and an order of fried pickles to split. Fried pickles: Best I've ever had. I was expecting pickle chips, but instead was greeted by these beautiful golden brown spears. Crunchy and dill-y. Dipped in their killer ranch. Brother and I killed those. Onion rings: On point. 8.5/10. Crispy battered onions. Can't go wrong, will order again. Beef sandwich: I wasn't sure what to expect, but I went in open minded.. and I'm so happy I did. Beautifully toasted garlic sourdough. Inside, wonderfully seasoned skirt steak and onions cooked amazingly and covered in cheese. The sourdough was so crispy and airy, really complimenting this simple yet elegant sandwich. All in all, this place is very unique and special. The people are friendly, the prices make sense, and the quality and love is there. Everyone, go to Fay's. It's a bit of a challenge to find a place to park, I had to rally a bit myself, but it's worth it. I had heard some bad things about the previous owner and I knew someone who worked here for awhile. The food was alright but it seemed to me like a place trying really hard to be something and not fulfilling on the food end of things. Pretty plain Jane burgers and fries. Nothing bad but also nothing to write home about. The price is a little high for what you pay for in my opinion. Not greasy and reminded me of a mom and pop meal. Fries were from fresh potatoes and just with right amount of salt. I'll definitely be back again. Whoa! I wish this place had been open when I still lived in Albany. It's in a converted fast food chain location, so your expectations are low going in, but the burgers are freaking delicious. Tasty, fresh hand-formed patties and a huge basket of fries that fill you up... but still you don't want to leave without getting another one of those amazing burgers! I had the swiss burger with mushrooms, the bloke a bacon burger with bbq sauce... so good. We'll be back any time we're through Albany. I love burger queen! I recently moved to Corvallis as a Oregon State student and this is my new go-to spot. This is such a great place to eat especially on your cheat day. I can tell that everything they make is genuine real food. Everything tastes homemade and comforting. As a college student, I really enjoy eating here to remind me of a family backyard barbecue. The workers are so polite and nice. I feel as though some would say that the food takes long to prepare/long wait but I know they are making it fresh, not from the freezer. I've been visiting Albany frequently lately and am on a quest to try all the non-chain burger joints in town. Burger Queen is a keeper and worthy of repeat visits. The two young guys working this afternoon were both friendly and attentive. The dining area and bathroom were clean and well-kept. Enjoyed looking at all of the old photos adorning the walls of 50s and 60s era classic burger joints. My friend and I each ordered a BBQ burger with fries and a shake. $9.99 is a pretty good deal. The patties were hand-formed with fresh, crisp veggies. Cheese perfectly melted on a tasty bun. Natural cut skinny fries...awesome! All served in a cute tin basket. Real ice cream shakes really hit the spot! So nice to have a quiet, clean lunch out of the rain. Glad they were open (unlike another burger joint in town advertised as open on Yelp, that was closed at the time) and had seating (unlike a walk-up/drive-in only spot in town too). Had the Swiss Burger to go, no bun (had a lettuce wrap since I'm diabetic). I passed on the fries, though I was guaranteed they're pretty good (which I don't doubt at this point). I give Burger Queen a 3/5 star because, customer service was excellent, they gave us french fries instead of tater tots like we asked but they brought them out a few minutes later. Food had a mass amount of onions on them, so if you don't like onions i recommend to have them not added. They were not wearing masks also. I feel bad cause the workers were super nice but this place gave us the creeps. We decided to try this place as a joke cause we always drove by it and the name is funny.
