We had reasonable expectations going into this dining experience; however, those expectations were quickly dissolved over the course of the evening. we arrived towards the end of the dinner rush, most of the people had cleared out by the time we ordered our food, we were seated quickly, but didn't see a server for 15 min after being seated. She did apologize for the wait, which we appreciated. We ordered drinks and food a the same time, as we had had plenty of time to decide what we wanted while we waited. we then waited about 45 min for our food. During that time, most of the restaurant had cleared out, people who had gotten there after we did had been served, eaten, and left, and we didn't see our waitress once, and the party was of like 8 people, no excuse at all, once they had left we still waited for 15 to 20 min for our food. . . So at this point, we had been there for at least an hr.. To add to the frustration, our waitress along with the rest of the dining staff were regularly seen chatting and sitting by the front door having a good old time, and were minimally seen interacting with guests. Once our food finally came it was mediocre at best, both my wife and son felt sick after eating for little while. Someone other than our waitress ended up coming to grab my plate as it had been sitting at the end of our table for 10 min. Then again, someone other than our waitress came and asked if we wanted to go containers. We promptly asked for the check, and confirmed at that point that we were going to be paying over 100$ for terrible service, a terrible experience, and mediocre food at best. Severely disappointed. Feast OIB is located at the roundabout in Ocean Isle. They have multiple concepts but the primary one is meals-to-go, prepared fresh on the premises. Since they recently opened (March 2021) they are still finalizing selections for the permanent menu, but have a wide variety of protein and vegetable combo offerings. Families on vacation or retired couples who don't want to do a lot of cooking will love this! They offer meals in serving sizes for 2 to 12 people. If you have a larger group, or want a specific meal, call and order - they'll be glad to prepare it for you. They also offer deli salads and sandwiches. Today I ordered a turkey sandwich and they gladly personalized it to my taste (not spicy). I opted for the potato salad as my side and the freshness of the potatoes was evident, not rubbery as often happens in restaurants. The cranberry, walnut, and goat cheese salad had very fresh lettuce. The staff was friendly and very helpful as I navigated their menu which was new to me. I hope Feast OIB will enjoy a long life serving the area of Sunset Beach, Ocean Isle, and Holden Beach. read more

Saturday night with live music - the place was packed! Good think I made reservations. All staff - very friendly. We had the meatloaf and the wedge salad. Both arrived in a timely fashion despite the amount of customers. The only issue I had was that the meatloaf was SUPER sweet... I could not eat more than two bites. Maybe it was an 'off' night? I had a good burger for lunch a couple of days ago, so we popped in for dinner. My wife had a salad she liked and I ordered a bowl of the beef stew special. When the "stew" arrived, I saw a few pieces of diced beef, carrots, onions and potatoes in a pool of watery brownness. This wasn't a stew, it was barely a soup. I asked if they had any bread or rolls to go with this and the server said they could toast a hoagie roll. Better than nothing. But it wasn't nothing. When the server brought the bill, that roll was a $3.00 extra charge (of which I was not informed) and to rub more salt in the wound there was also a "Non-cash" charge of $1.50 even though nobody asked how I was paying. read more

We were very surprised at how much we enjoyed this restaurant. We thought it was primarily a take out place but that's not the case at all. The food was fantastic! Ok....tried another new restaurant last night here at the beach. Trying to hit a new one each day. This was another WOW! I started with a pumpkin spice latte martini. Oh my goodness!!!! The martini was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!! Mike had a local brewery oatmeal stout and it was great also. I ordered the grilled salmon with the apricot glaze and the chef veggies (it also comes with rice pilaf but I don't care for rice. Alyssa asked if I wanted double veggies or something. I said no that what was coming would be enough). It was soooooooo good!!! Mike had the special which was the shrimp burger. He chose the chipotle black beans. He really liked it. Not one person in our group had anything bad to say. We found this place while staying for a weekend in Holden. Once seated it seemed multiple times we were forgotten, which is puzzling because we sat two tables from the hostess/entrance. No one came to check on us, refill waters, etc. They didn't bring our appetizer and didn't realize it until our main course arrived. This could have been caught if anyone checked on us at all. They brought the app after our food and said they would discount it. The food was just ok all around. Had to get our own to go containers because again, we were forgotten. Finally got our check after trying to find our waitress. Total app discount was $2 off. I wish we would have insisted on just not getting it. Nothing worth going back to this place. read more
