I contacted Febronio Tree service based on a good friends recommendation, didn't even look at Yelp first. Owner Fernando came out, on time, to give me a quote for the fairly extensive work; big trim on front yard tree, even bigger trim on tree in back, remove and stump grind one tree, and smaller trims on two others. We scheduled a day/time for job, on said day his crew showed up, again on time, we walked around again to confirm work, I left for work myself, leaving them alone to do their job. I returned to exactly what was agreed on, and more... Fernando even re-hung some outdoor lights and put up the owl house my neighbor requested. He was beyond nice and reasonable price wise and payment wise, as I stupidly needed to transfer some funds. Cannot not say enough nice things about Fernando and the whole experience. Oh my!!! What a great tree service company I found!!! I actually found Fernando through whitepages.com. I of course checked the Yelp reviews and they were very positive. I asked the owner, Fernando, to give us a quote and he did. Very reasonable for the work we wanted done. I had another tree company give a quote and not only did they not quote me on all of the jobs I wanted done (guess they forgot!), but their prices were out of site!! I decided to go with Fernando and I was not disappointed!! He not only cut down the trees we asked him to cut down, but he also did a terrific job trimming back some giant elder trees and even cleaned out our gutters!!! Really?? Where do you get service like this? Where I ask you? Fernando!! I'm really particular about contractors and I usually have an issue about something but not so with Fernando!! This company removed a 130ft tall, 12 ft circumference Redwood which was 6 inches away from the eaves of our house. They not only had the lowest bid, but were extremely professional and efficient, completing 95% of the work in one day with a general cleanup that night and a very complete cleanup the next morning. The potential mess and major impact to our yard was minimized and the few plants that needed moving were quickly replaced. Fernando came out to look at our 5 palm trees on a Saturday. He quoted us a price that was comparable to another tree trimmer ($950) and with a coupon I had he said he would do it for an even $900. He told us they would cut all the dead palms from the tops and smooth out the trunks. Because he was able to come out that week, we booked him! He and his crew arrived on time (even a bit earlier) and within an hour had done so much! Our palm trees were in pretty bad shape (not sure if the previous owners had ever trimmed them) so we knew there was a lot of work to be done. When they were finished, however, there were still some palms that looked like they needed some work. When I asked if they were going to finish the rest of the trees, I was told that "they did as much as they could based on the price they quoted me". Basically, they didn't anticipate it would be this much and stopped when they felt they had done enough. Considering he came out and saw the trees, I would only expect the job be finished. I totally understand how much labor is involved in cutting down old palms BUT I also do not feel you can just stop midway. I have to say that they do look a lot better (especially the tops!) but there are a few palms that look unfinished. The next day I emailed Ada, who I also corresponded with, and explained my slight disappointment. I also included pictures to show her the "eye sore". They came on time, and quickly cut down a tall, old almond tree that had fallen over, including removal of the stump. Fast, efficient, good cleanup, and very reasonable pricing. We were extremely happy with Febronios! Our trees look amazing!! Fernando, the owner, came for four days with a large crew. Not only were they super-efficient, but they were very conscious of the aesthetics and how the trimming would affect the light. They also did a great job being sure that everything was hauled away and cleaned up. Fernando oversaw all of the work himself which ensured that everything was done as we had discussed. They even pruned a hundred year-old camellia tree and did a beautiful job. We have used different tree services over the years but this was by far the best tree trimming job we have ever had. Very satisfied with the tree work. Recommended by a friend and could not have asked for a better result. They cut down a diseased oak that was over 40 feet tall and leaning over our house. They completed the job in one morning and the price was the best we found. Additionally they cleared some branches from other trees near the house for just a little additional cost. Febronio Tree Service is best of the 4 companies that I have use to do extensive work about every 3 years. His crew of 6 took 8 hours to do what the last company took 2 days to do with 3 unsupervised crew...and they did it much better. They topped out, trimmed, and shaped 2 Mulberry, a Japanese Maple, 2 tulip trees, 2 black walnut trees and thinned out 3 very large Oak trees, They trimmed and shaped all the trees and brush along a 50 yard driveway. They topped and shaped 4 Myrtle trees. They showed up on time, were very friendly, readily made adjustments to our original request without any change in price. They cleaned up everything exceptionally well without being directed by me. I called Febronio's to come out and grind a massive stump in our backyard. Fernando was easy to get ahold of and very courteous - we had to reschedule a few times due to rain / soggy ground. He was very on top of calling me to let me know when they were planning to come out - which I very much appreciated, considering the delay was around 2 weeks. His crew did a great job grinding the stump (and left a lot of very nice mulch), and also cleaned up some random old boards and wood I had asked them to. The final price and time it took (about 2 hours) was the same as his estimate. I also appreciated that Fernando asked what we planned to do with the area, and had some good suggestions of how deep they should grind it, and also trimmed some low-hanging branches above it. Owner Daniel and his guys were working on the property behind my house when I asked him to come have a look at 3 huge oaks we needed removed from our Greenbrae back garden. He was immediately professional, personable and willing to work on our schedule. He turned up exactly on time, his team were friendly and hard working and the job was done to exactly the standard we expected. The work was difficult, bringing down 3 huge compromised oaks, the largest hanging over our house and all 3 on a steep slope. They had a very limited area to work in, with a deer fence close by and a redwood garden wall to keep undamaged. I was amazed at how quickly the job got done, how there was minimal damage to our existing garden, how they protected our redwood wall and, other than the tree removal, we had no evidence of them coming!
