The two girls that work there are absolutely awful with zero customer service skills. Whoever hired them should be fired too. They were extremely unprofessional and complaining about their job in front of everyone, plus they were so unapproachable and rude beyond belief. Also, there was an electrical outage last night, so their phone-to-print option was not working, forcing people to use the computers. Yet they were still making people pay for the computer usage? Why would we pay for computer usage if we wanted to do the phone option for free? If a company's system is down, the customer should not have to pay for it. There was a little bit of a wait until I was finally served... but they did an excellent job packing up my fragile cukoo clocks and then only charged me $13 for the packing job! I've been to many Fedex locations and there is always some problem... but I was delighted to have my goods safely packed and for a good price. I'm just here to pick up a box but the remaining employee starts helping shipping customers before helping me. He is also sort of a smart a$$ which just doesn't fly when people are already annoyed. We went in to do print up a complicated set of pages from a file on our computer. I'm sorry I've completely forgotten the woman's name who helped us, but she helped us reorder the pages in the file so they would print properly, then did the full run for us. We camped out at the store two times, one to do all the set-up, and then again to do the printing and assembling. We were there for about three hours both times. During the time we were there, the staff was always helpful to us, was monitoring other people coming in and out, and taking care of shipments. If we had a question, we could ask, we were never given a hard time about how much time we were using or how absurd our printing situation had become. We will use this location for future projects. read more

The FedEx Office Print & Ship Center at 3167 College Ave., Berkeley, is excellent. The current lockdown has been a good time for me to sort through family items and send them to relatives who have more use for them. I have used this Fed Ex location super successfully twice within a week. I'd like to call out for special praise Khalid and Clinton, who really know their stuff and were extremely efficient and professional. They gave my packages needed extra wrapping for protection during shipment. They presented the options for timing and price. Their pandemic precautions were excellent. This location practices careful social distancing (very few people in the shop when I was there) and all staff wore masks. Thank you very much, Khalid and Clinton. read more

Outstanding service and shipping support. I showed up with 21 individual items that needed, boxes labels and shipment. I had to book it all to a corporate account number and I had little faith that I could get this done. James Boyer (center manager) took on my request operating fast and effectively. He completed the orders in batches to minimize how many times we had to enter redundant info, provided boxes and helped me pack them. He went above and beyond my expectations and I am a very happy customer. I would recommend this location and FedEx services. read more

The copy/ printing machine won't work properly. It charged me extra to get a few prints and 1 hour to do 15 minutes job. I bought something and realized it in store itself that I bought two since they were stacked together. When I asked to return they couldn't process my return. I just ended up purchasing something that I don't need because they were not able to figure out how to refund me. I've come in here a few times. Descent prices, and great service. I have made some copies , gotten things scanned, etc.. The people working there will listen to exactly what you want and make sure they get it right. Also if you want office supplies and don't want to trek to a place like staples they have a descent amount here. I deal with a lot of FedEx Office Print centers for Online Printing orders. This location is -- by FAR -- the best equipped to deal with odd print jobs. I've had problematic PDFs that perplex other FedEx Office locations printed here with no problem. Unlike other stores, these guys actually pay attention to the details about your order. I'm not a big fan of the Online Print interface. But the folks here make it as good as it gets. Amanda, specifically, has gone above and beyond to make sure my print jobs are processed correctly. And when things have gone wrong, has made it her job to make things right. That is great customer service. I've also sent packages from here, but haven't used other services so I can't speak to those. But I would much rather take my business to this location than other options for FedEx Office in the area. Even when it's out of the way, it's worth it to know the job will get done right. read more

Had a bad experience here. I want to acknowledge that it's likely the CSRs have to encourage customers to utilize the FedEx products (and the exorbitant rates that come with them.) So maybe it's not all the CSRs fault... but I do draw the line about actually being untruthful. I brought in a small USPS flat rate box, and asked if I could mail it from there. The CSR said yes, but encouraged me to use their box, but there weren't any small ones. I asked for a small box. He gave me a medium sized box -- maybe that's their smallest one. I know it's gonna be costly. I asked if I could pay more to mail it in the much smaller USPS box. He said yes. I packed it up. He wanted to put the box in a FedEx envelope. Read me an array of prices, all of which were well over $30 and up to $90. I told him I could mail it sooo much cheaper from the Post Office (closed at the time). Prices to mail it without the FedEx envelope involve measuring, weighing, etc. and were even higher. I politely apologized and said I'd find time for the post office tomorrow. He said they would probably charge me close to that same amount. I know better. It cost $7.10 to mail my package today at good old USPS. I'm posting this because it's unnecessary to state an untruth, especially when you already know you're not getting the business. Personal standards should apply, even at work. read more

I bring all my printing, & copying business here, and often find they have better rates than UPS, especially if I prepare labels ahead of time. The self-service machines have never let me down, and the custom printing turns out great, too. What I must also comment on is the EXCELLENT STAFF who work there. Just today, I was helped by Miss Grace, I think that is her name, she's very pretty and wears her hair in locks, who remembered me from a month ago, and that I would be coming back for two extra sheets from a large job. Just one example, of many times they've been friendly and helpful. Both women working the counter are cheerful and welcoming, and it is a pleasure to interact with them. read more

I've come here a few times and even though it's a 10 min drive or 25 min bike it's worth the ease of getting my package shipped smoothly and at a low cost. Horrible customer service received from a representative named Amanda and minimum service from a representative named Alice. After landing at SFO, I arrived at this store to pick up boxes that I shipped from out of state. Boxes were delivered crushed, torn open, and left open. To say the least I was in shock and upset. Lack of compassion on top of smart-butt remarks resulted in a horrible customer service experience. Amanda remained on her stool, playing on her smart phone while she said mocking and outright confrontational statements to me. I was left to go behind counter and get my own boxes because Amanda and her co-worker, Alice, didn't want to assist in moving the damaged boxes. I felt so strongly about this experience that I called the 800 number and pushed to be able to report this experience to the district manager. Once I spoke to him I wasn't surprised to hear that the employees at that location didn't tell him all that transpired. On a related noted, FedEx ground shipping is a joke! I will never use them again. Ready to cancel my FedEx account. This morning, I was just told by a claims person that they will not reimburse my damaged goods because I apparently didn't pack it with enough "air packaging" and FedEx "is not a moving company." I brought up the fact that the FedEx center I shipped from knew I was moving and shipping my items instead of driving. I told the claims agent that the Sr. Manager at that location said to come on down and he will help me. After the Sr. Manager and the agent helped me unload and I helped them measure and weigh my boxes, not one of them implied or stated that there was an issue with the boxes I used (Home Depot) or the weight for each box. I also told the claims agent that I wrote "Fragile" on several of the boxes which the agent at the shipping location encouraged. The Claims agent said that FedEx doesn't take direction on boxes. The claims agent ended our discussion by telling me that FedEx will accept anything for shipment but that the claims I submitted were denied. So basically folks, FedEx will take your packages, not tell you if they notice any issues with it, take your money, encourage you to pay insurance, damage your shipment, and then not pay for the damages incurred because you should have know better. Consider yourself warned - FedEx customer service isn't what it use to be. I am going back to UPS. It may be a little bit more but I received way better customer service and advice on how to ship my items. read more

Running morning errands. Sign says they're open at 7:30. I waited at the front door for 15 minutes until 7:45. Apparently I'm not the only review on here that has left a complaint about this particular branch regarding their inability to adhere to store hours. I wasn't going to leave a review, but then when the lady finally did arrive, she didn't even acknowledge my presence. She proceeded to look at me and then answered a phone that was ringing. I waited patiently until she was finished, but when she hung up she just walked into the back office. I waited a little and then realized she wasn't coming back anytime soon. She could have said, "I'll be with you in a minute." I would have been just fine waiting. I know people are late to their shifts sometimes, no one is perfect...but if your late apologize maybe or at the very least - don't be rude. read more

Completely incompetent. Horrible quality. Rude employees. Don't talk to me like an idiot and act like this is acceptable for a business card. Blotchy printing, flimsy card stock and bad cutting. Ridiculous! I phoned to see how long the turn around is for business cards and post cards, employee: "I can print them for you tonight if it's not very many." me: "Great! I just need 5 business cards and 5 post cards." employee: "E-mail me the files, amount and paper you want - we have matte or glossy card stock" me: "ok" ....e-mail the files....get a call back employee: "I printed the cards, but uh, how many did you want because I printed 5 sheets for the business cards and 2 sheets for the postcards... there are 2 postcards per sheet." me: "I wanted 5 business cards and 5 post cards... these are only for a test. How many business cards per sheet?" employee: "10 per sheet." me: "Ok, so 50 business cards.... I guess I might be able to use that many." employee: "Are you going to cut them yourself or do you want me to cut them." me: "Well, I think you'd do a better job so yeah, please cut them." employee: "Ok, so are you coming in tonight?" me: "Yes" ....go to fedex/kinkos The quality was so bad that I was in shock. This card is supposed to be handed to a potential employer? Seriously?! Don't plan on getting the job with cards printed here, these are for child play only. Also, $22 for 50 business cards, and 4 post cards. I think not! I can do a much better job on my home printer. I left plenty of room for bleed and there were white edges around the cards where they shouldn't have been, these had been hand cut. I expect business cards to be cut nicely, especially when they try to charge me over $1 per cut without even telling me. The black background was blotchy but according to them, "that's how solid black prints" ....um, not at my house! The paper is not the quality of any business card I've ever seen. All the while this late-twenties to thirties asian woman who was "assisting" me was being so spiteful saying things like "Well you can go somewhere else," "Do you know how much it costs to print color?!" and when I said this is unacceptable quality, she said something alongs the lines of "It depends on what you consider good quality." She claimed the quality was better when you ordered from online, so I said "you should tell people that when they inquire about business cards." She replied, "I'm not going to tell everyone who calls for business cards that!" Sorry I even gave them $5 for 2 post cards and an uncut sheet of 10 business cards that will go in the trash. I'm working on a deadline for school so felt I needed something to show that I made an attempt, but in the real world this quality will get you laughed out of an interview. Don't plan on printing your christmas cards here. Don't get your business cards here. And unless you like employees being snarky with you when they do a bad job, don't even walk into this place. I called to make sure a package I had rerouted was there and the woman who answered the phone was rude, kept me on hold then told me the package was there. I visited Fed-ex to print 3 items, and left with a $30 bill an more angst than the night my house got broken into just 3 days before. If I could express my anger towards the lack of service and lack of compassion for other human beings--this poor woman. The blonde-haired, scrooge-faced, peon who works this particular location completely disgraces the Fed-Ex name. Her life must really be crappy, to displace so much disrespect to all customers that she is paid to help. This woman should never be working a customer service position. The absolute worst printing service. I spent 2$ on using their computer for less than 5 minutes and an additional 7$ for printing 10 pages!!! That's over 50 cents a page. This FedEx is great! Especially Amanda...she helped me out a whole bunch. I had to update some menus for my restaurants and all I need to do is email her my files and she'll help me print, laminated, cut and ready for pick up with in 24 hours. Stress free! that means a lot when I have to run 2 restaurants, one in Berkeley and the other in San Mateo. read more
