Convenient location for the neighbors: A Simple supply purchases or simple FedEx letter: A Sending a medium sized package (watch out for extra, unexplained fee's): D Customer Service: F Hate to give a customer service rating of F, but if you're not willing to answer a basic pricing question then (cringe) you don't deserve a passing grade. Yelpers: If you're going in to purchase a pen, some paper, or mail a simple FedEx letter, this is probably as fine a spot as any. This location provides all the basic supplies AND it's near some excellent coffee shops & markets. However, if you need something more than basic supplies (let's say you're Fed-Exing a small package to NH, 3-day delivery), Buyer Beware. Unlike other FedEx locations that I've used, this one insisted that I move my items from the plain brown box I brought in to the "FedEx logo-ed box" (for a small fee). AND also add in their own packing supplies (for a small fee). And if you inquire about how much that would cost, well...the response I received today was "Don't worry about these charges. It's much cheaper than if you were to use your own box. If you use your own box, then the shipping charges are much higher than if you purchase OUR box." Really? WTH is with that pricing stragegy?! The agent (his name tag had "Manager" on it) couldn't explain the pricing differences to me but he was adamant that this was true. Since he refused to even try to answer my question, it ultimately became less about the money and more about customer service & respect, or lack thereof. For sending a pkg - use either another FedEx location, UPS or USPS as a more efficient, less sketchy option. read more

Think the problem was the employee @about 3 pm Jan 25, 2019. Said he was Michael but am not certain of that hence the date and time. He refused to accept a return to ATT though he admitted that Fed Ex did this. His first comment to me 'why do you have so much equipment?' Then noticed UPS listed on the return info and told me to go across the street to UPS. He would not take the account number from the printout which would have given him all the info he needed. After blowing me off he returned to his social conversation with another in the store. I hope Fed Ex does not have many poor service employees like this. read more

Actually, the shop itself is very good--but I have had a horrible experience with FedEx. Buyer beware! Two different times packages that I had packages sent overnight through FedEx, with no signature required, they were NOT delivered. Instead, a notice was left informing the recipient that they could pick up the package at a central location. No explanation has ever been given about the failure of delivery. When I requested redelivery the same day, I was told that was impossible. In one case, after I spent $51.28. to overnight the letter, the recipient had to spend another $40 to uber over to the central FedEx facility in their town. When I asked for a refund for the $51.28, I was told no refunds were possible. What kind of business is this?? I greatly appreciated the help of the folks at College Ave in trying to get the letter delivered on time, but the company is so fragmented, no one individual has the power to cut through the red tape and no one will take final responsibility. read more

I'd decided (foolishly) to print my own parking inserts for my wedding invitations. I didn't think it would be a big project and I figured I could save money. So, i formatted the text (double-sided) and tried to print 2 inserts/page on my own. After I'd printed, I saw that the text wasn't straight, the cut lines weren't straight, and the text on each side wasn't aligned. I took this mess into Kinkos, along with a soft copy of the file. Amanda worked with me for over 45 minutes, first trying to salvage what I'd printed and, when that didn't work, adjusting and readjusting my file so that it would line up on both sides. She was very kind, and very patient. At a certain point when the formatting wasn't working, she even wanted to keep working on it to make it better. Honestly, Amanda was great, and went above and beyond to help me. She really saved my day and my sanity. read more

Worst wifi ever. I spent 20 minutes trying to download a small file. I completely ran out of time they lost my business. So frustrating.

The employees are nice, but it is truly a shame that the corporate office management of this company have decided to simply milk the customers by providing completely outdated computer equipment and WiFi service and charging exorbitant prices for such dilapidated equipment. I happen to be out of my house and needed to print and scan a document. I spent 40 minutes and nearly $12 to print 4 pages and scan and email the document. At he end, I had to come home and redo the whole thing because the quality of the scanner at the Fed Ex store was too poor for the recipient to accept my scanned document. For a company that its main shipping service is so exceptionally popular for very good reasons and it provides such amazing up to the minute data on the whereabouts of the packages, it is shocking to go to a store with the same brand name with equipment form 1990s. Unless you have no other place to go, I suggest you find someplace else but Fed Ex offices for your printing and computer work. I suspect all of these shops are so poorly maintained. Again, the employees were great, given what they were provided by the company. read more

Maybe FedEx could look into some Customer Service training for their staff at this location. A few days before Christmas I was waited on by a very efficient, astonishingly rude employee (Asian woman, long hair, 40ish). She took care of my package needs very quickly and when she was finished she said, "OK, you're done." No "Thank you," no smile, no "Happy Holidays." Nada. It doesn't get any colder. I immediately checked myself into Alta Bates Hospital for treatment of frostbite and hypothermia. read more

My color printer decided to fall apart right before printing out my photo project. Of course, I decided to print it out the day it was due! I went to the FedEx downtown and their only color printer was booked for the next 2 hours! I guess the look of panic on my face didn't matter to them! I made my way to this FedEx and was surprised to see empty parking space in front. I made my way and was greeted with good old fashioned customer service. The person who assisted me turned out to be the manager (Misty ?) and I was out the door in no time! I so appreciated her great customer service! read more

For small jobs they are ok but you cannot count on them to accurately complete large copying jobs. I recently took an order in and they copied it twice instead of once amounting to over 300 in extra fees. Although they misunderstood my order they were unwilling to refund. I will have to find another store even though this one close to home. read more

The best FedEx location in the bay area. I'm in field sales, and without an office, I rely heavily on FedEx's office amenities to do my job. Being in-and-out of various bay area locations sometimes daily, this store consistently provided the easiest, fastest and best service. Jim, Amanda, Alice and Mahn are all professional and helpful and I can't say enough good things about this store compared to others. If you have a choice, use this one. As I'm moving on to a new career, I will miss seeing them on a regular basis ;) Thank you! read more

Buyer Beware! If you go in with a pre-paid printed label, but have to buy a box- you will have to pay triple. Even though my shoe box barely fit inside the fed ex box, it was 'required' to be filled with brown paper due to the less than 1 inch at the top. That's all fine and dandy, but I only found out about this 'requirement' AFTER the brown paper was added/box packed and I noticed that my $2 box was now $6.56?! And I then asked why, and only then I was provided with this expensive 'requirement' explanation. That's outrageous for a printed price to increase 350% without the customers knowledge. I wasn't even given a choice or other options. I am done with FedEx based on principle. read more

I needed to print some documents from the computer here today and had some problems troubleshooting the technology. When I asked for help from the white woman with a long blonde braid who works there, I was treated with more disrespect than I ever have with a customer service representative. She rolled her eyes, scolded me for logging out too early, and basically treated me like an idiot. I will not be returning to this store the next time I need printing services. read more

You have to pay $0.35 per minute to access the computer and then $0.50 a page in basic black and white. Ridiculously expensive! Save your money and go to a local print-shop that charges $0.15 or, if you print a lot, $0.05 per page in black and white and computer access is free. read more

Not going here again. The customer service was HORRIBLE. I walked into an empty store last Sunday afternoon. I was greeted by a salesperson who was standing at the register. I had never been to this store or used the copy machines; I needed a bit of guidance. Clearly that was an inconvenience for my service rep. With a deep sigh, she gave me the heads up. I began my copies but then my machine jammed. Damn. Back to my service rep. Poor dear. She had to leave her stool and actually help me, and let me tell, you, she did not help me in a friendly manner. When I asked if I was going to get charged for the jammed copies, she looked at me like I was a first-class moron who had asked the lamest question in the world. She was curt and quite frankly a sourpuss. I had to change machines and finish my work. I wanted to get the heck out of there, out of fear that I might "over-exert" the salesperson whose name has already been mentioned once on this site. After leaving I realized that I was the first to say, "Hello," "Thank you," and "Have a nice day," during our time spent together. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? Managers, time to chat with your workers. This experience was a bit pathetic. read more
