I have been in this facility twice in the past week and worked with two individuals that were very helpful. The first time was with a gentleman named Javier, he and the manager assisted me with printing obituaries for a funeral. Javier was super friendly and anytime he had questions he didn't hesitate to ask the manager because he wanted the obituaries to be perfect. The process was really fast, 100 color copies, folded literally only took a few hours and they were ready for pickup the next morning! The second time I went in was for faxing and a young lady named Maite helped me with my faxes. She was very pleasant and stopped what she was doing to assist me. I can appreciate that because a lot of times if you're buried in work it can be frustrating to have to stop to help someone with a machine that has instructions (lol). Both experiences were quick and efficient and I was offered a coupon on some future printing as well. Disgustingly rude staff. Every single time I go there, I'm greeted with an attitude and usually leave feeling confused or unclear about something. One time, I rang the doorbell and they didn't answer it for about 10 minutes. I was fuming. The dude opens the door and I ask him wtf that was about...he told me to "get over it" because he was busy. When I spoke with a manager (or whoever) he was very empathetic and apologized. Unfortunately, had to go there twice this week, and both times I was left confused. Idk I really dislike this place and if I need to interact with staff, I'd rather walk the extra couple of blocks to go to UPS or go in the mall and deal with USPS. read more

The law firm I work for does a lot of business at this Fed Ex. Mostly for large copy jobs. From my experience, they do a great job on the copies. Everything is always how it should be. I never have to worry about something being messed up or having staples or hole punches missing. They do it in a timely manner as well. The one thing that I was not happy about with them though was that I needed the copies of documents I dropped off by 3:00pm and I never received a phone call letting me know they were done, like I was told. So I had to call over there only to be told that they had been done for quite some time and were ready for pick-up. read more

First, list a direct line that actually works, instead of a remote call center that then tries to transfer customers to your direct line. Zero customer service in the actual store. FedEx has an option to hold the package at the office for pick up. In my case, the package was delivered to the wrong location, the website and the app don't show the address. I connected with the call center and have been told to wait. I visited the destination office, a guy checked packages and didn't find mine. He said the same, I should wait. The delivery was one-day. Two days left and nothing changed. In fact, FedEx provides cheap service with cheap people. read more

Do you like feeling like a crazy person as you wait 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge your presence whilst you are trying a) ship a package, b) pick up a package, or c) make a photocopy? If any of these options sounds like fun to you, then this FedEx is 100% your jam. Whether you're trying to get something bound only to find magically the "10 min wait" turns into 90 minutes, or you're simply looking to print out something from a USB, the service is always some shade of incompetent -- which would be fine if it was also friendly, but it's not -- the nicest thing I can muster to say abt this place is that it is a vortex of unpleasantness. Overall, if you value your time and/or sanity, I'd say seek out any other FedEx possible. Seriously. Oh, prices are as expected. If you want to get anything anywhere overnight, it's going to cost you the mortgage on your house, but that's not truly FedEx's fault -- so at least that's a perk...it's not more overpriced than any other shipping option? read more

*sigh I come here out of necessity. As others have said, it really does depend on who is helping you. Some have a deep-seated hate for rainbows and puppies and existence in general and will take it out on you and your printing/binding project if you're so unlucky to come during their shift. Others just might go to the ends of the earth and back for a ream of paper, specific binding products or ink so that your project will be finished within 20 minutes of your entering the store. I've dealt with both and therefore, 3 stars. (I sometimes just wish they'd let me do it myself. It'd save them labor and I could probably do it better and faster..) read more

I've only used this FedEx a couple of times, but when I saw it only had two stars I thought I would help up their average stars a bit, because of my last experience there. I'm not giving it 5 stars merely because I am not a frequent enough customer, but I had to go last week on 12/23 to mail a package for my boss, and was dreading it. I figured there would be a horribly long line and would take forever. There was in fact, a horribly long line, but the employees were moving so efficiently I wasn't in line for more than 7 minutes. This alone warrants a 4 star rating in my opinion, considering it was so close to Christmas and they were so busy. Thanks FedEx Kinko's for making my job a little easier :) read more

sooooo rude! Oh my! A supervisor works at 187 Dartmouth st, Boston MA. He was so rude to me. i sent a business card file to them and print. He gave a whole sheet without cuuting. Come on! i need my businese cards....... i need them to be cut. using some common sense. He even did not ask me if i need cut. I'm doubt he can supervise whom? because his service looks soooo unprofessional. I feel sad about Fedex, they running a very successful bussiness but with unprofessional employee. Later i wanted to return the printing paper i just brought 20 mins ago. i open the package and tried to print it with my own printer. it did not work, so i was wondering if i can return it.He just said "No" without any explanation. It all depends on who waits on you. Kimberly just moved to this store from one in another state and she was charming, proactive, and professional. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, if you can get her! We were doing last minute work the night before our wedding and she helped make sure our programs were formatted even better than we'd made them ourselves (and I'm a designer). She then gave us a range of options, with excellent advice about which printing option to choose. She helped us come up with ideas for a way to cover a piece of art during the ceremony and then cut plastic to just the right size. She even offered to personally check up on our work and then cautioned us that we should check in with the shift after her, in case something went wrong after she handed the job on to the next shift. Beware the next shift was the subtle message we got. It was clear she would go the extra mile and strive for an excellent result, whereas I don't think every staff person had the same attitude or abilities. read more

Perhaps the most important lesson is that USPS is open until midnight Saturday at the South Station location. Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon to send a few late Christmas gifts. Was greeted by Nigel with a snippy remark about my packaging job and suggested I buy a box. The upsell (experienced on multiple occasions at other FedEx locations) wasn't unexpected, but could have done without the attitude. Here's what's interesting: I have a pretty much scathing review of some another Kinko's (I'm not naming names, Harvard Square). I used this Kinko's frequently - and I do mean frequently - over the course of about 9 months while my office was in the area. The staff was always nice and accommodating and I can't remember a time when my jobs wasn't completed perfectly. This, of course, was just my personal experience. We never needed anything too out of the ordinary. I will give you that FedEx/Kinko's, on the whole, is hella pricey. The people who work there know this, but it's a company-wide deal. Thing is, you won't find anything much cheaper, and that's the way it goes unfortunately. read more

Well, here we are 45 minutes past delivery time and Henry was nice enough to tell me it would be 10am at the earliest, 90 minutes late. Also, for fun, when I asked Henry to speak to a manager he said the manager wasn't available due to being on vacation. When I said I placed my order with the manager yesterday and find that hard to believe, he goes "oh, that was the ASSISTANT manager, you asked for the manager." So, customer service has REALLY improved. What a joke of a place this is. And to think, last night while placing my order I really thought this place had turned it around. HA. Oy vey. FedEx. When you're good, you're really good. But when you're bad, you're really, really bad. This particular FedEx location is consistently disappointing with slow and brusque customer service and, for some reason, every time I try to use the Sony Picture Station it's out of paper or ink or both and the employees have no idea how to service it. I think this last point is a training issue, not necessarily a poor reflection of the employees themselves. There is one guy at this FedEx (I wish I knew his name) who is extraordinarily competent, warm and helpful, but if he's not there to help you, you're pretty much screwed. read more

The gal who helped me (Diane) was in such a bad mood and was complaining to her male co-worker about how things were so disorganized in the store after she came back from the weekend. After Fedex kept trying to deliver my package when I wasn't home, I requested it be held at this facility so I could easily pick it up on my way to work. I arrived at this store 15 minutes before I had to be at working, thinking it wouldn't take any longer for them to retrieve my package. I was wrong. There were two people shipping items in front of me that were being helped by the only two employees and another lady in front of me also picking up a package. One of the employees had enough time while one customer was filling out shipping information to help the lady in front me of with picking up her package, but spent ~10 minutes on the computer looking it up to discover that it wasn't at the facility yet. I could have spent 2 minutes using fedex's tracking # search to figure that one out. At this point I told them that I was just picking up a package, but they said I was going to have to wait. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked how much longer it was going to take until they could help me because at this point I was going to be late for work. They said there were only two of them and two computers and the one customer in front of me has 4 large items to ship, but they could not tell me how much longer it would take. I believe I waited 25 minutes before one of the customers was finished and they could finally take my ID, and fetch my package. The entire process with me took 1 minute. There has got to be a better way to handle this. I should not have had to wait 25 minutes for 1 minute of service. They knew the two customers shipping items would be taking a long time. This is the worst process from the worst shipping company I have ever dealt with. I was late to work and more stressed than I should have been this morning. read more

Their web site indicated they were open 24/7 but when I went to submit a semi-complicated job at 10:15pm that I needed for 6:00am they initially said they probably would not get to it before the morning. I had to download this app and make an account just to write this. I was so worried about this place after reading reviews, but it was the only one near me and I was short on time. Imagine my surprise when I walk in there and the whole ordeal is painless as possible! These guys are sweet and funny - and this was the second location I went to!! The guys in the Marriott location were very nice and kindly pointed me to the back bay location. Hello, I just wanted to write and say thank you to this BOSTON Fedex team. I called them at 10PM last night for a Rush job after a chaotic day. I was rushed, frazzled and had a very important portfolio to print. Rather than making me feel like I was inconveniencing them by calling 10 minutes before close time, the gentleman took his time to assure me of all the details in order to get everything I needed. I went to bed with one less thing to stress about and felt totally confident that they would get job done. They completed order this morning. When I went in to pick up my order, I could see that the manager was running a VERY busy command center with lots of customers in line and some pushing with last minute orders. He calmly managed each person even when rude behavior was exhibited, if I was him I would have lost my patience with these people. I got my order and it was PERFECT. I am so impressed that this place turned around such great quality in such a short amount of time while exhibiting great customer service and happy attitudes. It's not easy work. Lots of plates in the air, I can tell. I've printed with FedEx many times before but this was by far the best experience I have had. I am sending all future orders here so JOes (I think that was his name?) team can manage them. Competence!!! It's so rare these days- well done FedEx Boston. Tried to print a poster for a research presentation through their online system and pick up in store. Quoted online for $48 dollars, but because of "modifications" charged $98 non-negotiable. Per store policy, any modifications (no matter how small - mine was a small adjustment on the size of the document versus the size of the poster). Understand it's company policy and likely not the store's fault. I've always printed my posters on MakeSigns.com (free proof, deliver to your house, even with rush shipping prices are reasonable and always transparent). Will be going back after this experience. read more

Two weeks ago I had a Very Serious Deadline and had printed a Very Important Document on the wrong kind of paper. Stuck in South End with NO options for the purchase of paper or printing services and with only a few short hours to spare, I made a call to Fedex Kinko's in the Back Bay, the closest location to the South End. I inquired about 20lb archival quality paper with 25% cotton content and was told they had the 24lb version. Fine. That will do just fine. Off I went, hoofing it, mostly at a running pace, through the South End. I got there, panting and nose running from the cold and asked about the paper. An outright bitchy employee dragged over the small book of paper samples and barely let me look at it, as she stood there staring off into space. Guess what? THEY TOTALLY DIDN'T HAVE THE CORRECT PAPER!! They only had resume quality 100% cotton/linen content. Thanks for nothing Kinko's. Because of you I almost didn't get my damn PhD. For paper needs, go to Staples in Landmark Center. The employees at Fedex are completely clueless and have no interest in assisting customers. read more

If I could rate this place zero stars I would! DO NOT ORDER HERE! The absolute worst customer service I've ever dealt with other than some airlines. I just needed four 2'x3' paper prints. I had to fill the online form out three times in order for it to register. Then I called to be sure they received it and they put me on hold for 10 minutes and then I got hung-up on. I called back...same thing, 10 minute hold. The next day I got an email (automated) that said the items was printed and delivered. I then called my contact to see if he got it (as I had setup delivery with the FedEx shop) and he did not. I then called to see why I got an email saying it got delivered and yet my contact never got it. I then was hung up on FOUR TIMES!!!! #5's a charm?! When I called back the fifth time they put me on hold again for 7 minutes and then told me that no the prints were not in fact delivered...she told me that the email is automated. Lastly they told me they would email me a receipt and I never got it! My suggestions for this location...either close or 1) Hire an entire new staff (I spoke with four different people) 2) Get a phone system that works 3) Hire more people 4) Change your automated emails so that you aren't telling people their items got delivered when in fact they haven't. Safe to say I would never return to this shop for business. read more

I printed a job here on a Sunday and swung by to pick it up on a Monday morning before an important presentation. My order was supposed to be ready the night before. The shop was empty except for one female clerk with very short hair and a very big chip on her shoulder. I asked for my order and she told me it wasn't ready. I politely asked how long and was shocked by how rude she was. Since she "didn't know" when my order would be ready (and I was late for an important meeting) I asked if I could pick it up at a different Kinkos. "I don't know, why don't you look it up?" was the response I got. I am polite, patient, and having worked in service jobs to put myself through school, I have realistic expectations for customer service. I was literally rendered speechless by how this woman acted. I was forced to use the same Kinkos again and had this woman assist me. While I ended up getting my order this second time around, she was inexcusably rude again. Everyone has an off day, but she seems to have an off personality. How does this woman have a job? It's an embarrassment that she is employed by any customer-facing organization. read more
