FedEx location was listed online and on the FedEx website as being open on Sunday, so I drove nearly 25 minutes to get there. I arrived around 3:30 PM only to find the doors locked and no employees inside. There were several other customers outside as well, all just as surprised and frustrated as I was that the location was closed. I attempted to contact customer service to find out what was going on, but I was stuck navigating an automated system and was never able to reach a representative or get any answers. It's extremely disappointing to make a special trip based on the posted business hours, only to find the location unexpectedly closed. If a store is going to close early or not operate during its advertised hours, that information should be updated online so customers don't waste their time and gas. Management needs to do a better job of ensuring that posted hours are accurate and that customers are properly informed of any changes. Would not recommend relying on the posted Sunday hours at this location. read more

I've come to this Location two times now and they have been very helpful both times. The first to mail a package and the second to spiral bind some papers together. Highly recommend this spot and was very impressed with the customer service that I received even though they were pretty busy. Additionally, they were able to bind my papers very quickly in between customers so that was really nice that they were able to do it without any wait. read more

I have to give a shoutout to this crew at this FedEx location. This is my home store and I've been going to this store for quite some time. I've had some issues with my online account (an issue I will have to take up with the FedEx hotline when I have the time). At the time, I had spoken to one of the managers there and he's taken care of me ever since! Instead of "you'll have to call the customer service number and figure it out" blanket response, he has helped me by resolving the issue. This location has both shipping and printing services. The shop is also a nice size, lots of room with a retail section. They are always fast and efficient and always very courteous at the time of pick up. They are always willing to help and work things out, which is honestly a rarity in this day of automation! I appreciate this crew so much! I recently stood by the FedEx Store located at the corner of Volvo and Greenbrier Parkway. I needed to get a passport size picture taken and they are one of the few places that offers that service. I mailed a Christmas package to my son's home in Bradenton, Florida on December 19, 2024. Joy, the assistant manager at the store on Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake, Va waited on me. She repeatedly harassed me while I was attempting to mail my package. Joy continuously talked over me repeating at least six or seven different rates for the shipment although I specifically told her numerous times exactly how I wanted to mail my package. I questioned her about insurance on the package, and she told we something different than I had ever been told before. She said the insurance was only good while it was in custody of FedEx. Joy had no idea I would be in Florida to receive the package when it arrived in Florida on Sunday. I asked my son to inform me as soon as the package was dropped off. The have cameras to alert them as soon as the package was dropped off. This is how the my package arrived in Florida. I cannot swear Joy destroyed my package, but I know it was properly taped when I left the box with Joy and I receives several FedEx boxes every week but have never received one in this condition. Please look at the pictures of the box FedEx delivered to me in Florida. I never reported the incident to her supervisor. I had reported extremely inappropriate behavior of another employee in the office, and the supervisor (Patricia) admitted to employee was wrong, but defended her anyway. Again, I go to the FedEx office on July 3, 2025. Joy singled me out. She remembered me from when she harassed me last Christmas because I walk with a cane, and she came out to personally harass me again. Joy did the same thing she did the last time. After I told her exactly what I wanted, she kept quoting seven or eight prices for the shipment. I was shipping a birthday card and was not paying any next day rates. She chose how I would ship the card, when I told her no, took my package and slammed it on the counter as hard as she could. She ran my credit card and I told her I remembered her and she was the mean lady from Christmas. Joy kicked me out of the store because I called her mean and said she was going to call the police on me if I did not leave. She charged my card but refused to send my shipment. I went to my car and came back in the found her bragging to the employees that she had just kicked me out of the store and laughing about it. Joy has (NO JOY) and has no business being an assistant manager or working at Federal Express. She is a cruel, mean, idiot, bully who enjoys harassing elderly black disabled women. I reported this incident to Pat the store manager and never heard anything from her. In addition, I reported this incident to the 800 phone number and it took over a month for Pat to call me and they did not provide any of the details I provided at the 1 800 #. If Pat did her job and called me back, I would not have to post this review. I will post the pictures of the box that was destroyed!! read more

Fast. That's the singular word I'll use to describe this experience. I had an Amazon return to drop off here... It couldn't have been any simpler or easier. I arrived with my package and waited in line for maybe 2-3 minutes. Once I made it to the counter, I told them what I was dropping off. Showed them a QR code on my phone from Amazon which they scanned. The employee then printed me a receipt and I was on my way out the door. Just an absolutely perfect experience. read more

I recently went to the location on Volvo Pkwy Chesapeake and the staff treated me as if I was invisible. They don't greet or acknowledge their customers when they walk in or just advise someone will be right with you. The staff have attitudes as if you are bothering them. It amazes me that this is a business that offers services and they have an attitude with you for seeking their services. OMG!! I came here on Saturday evening and it was crazy busy. To my surprise only 2 people were working. This was very frustrating. I had a drop off (prepaid return package). And what I thought would be 5 minutes tops turned into a 20 minute visit. One worker was handling the print shop side and the other was handling the front. The employee at the front was obviously the one responsible for answering the phone as well. I mean he would not let the phone just ring ring ring...he would answer it every time! I may of just picked the wrong day to come. But I figured the holiday season came and went so it wouldn't be crowded. But to my surprise...sheeesh. I am so thankful for FedEx representatives like Gary from store 2508. I was trying to get a last-minute graduation banner done for my son. I am so thankful that Gary picked up the phone on Wednesday, 6/15. He guided me through my options and when I could understand how to place the order online, he was kind enough to let me place a virtual/in-person order. He worked with the lovely people at store 0928 to get my order printed within the fast turnaround is requested - actually, it was day earlier than I'd originally asked. The product is so lovely. I could have cried when I saw it. My husband and family are very pleased. I have to say that it seems FedEx representatives are just all-around helpful and great people because when I picked the banner up from store 0928 Patty and Candace helped me and were just solid service providers. I was thanked for waiting, which wasn't really necessary because it wasn't long at all and she was helping another customer. I was then promptly given my beautiful banner and some great advice about hanging it. They even helped me choose a kit that has various types of hanging components so my family would have what we needed regardless of where we chose to hang the banner. I just can't say enough about the service I received this past week. I am so very pleased. If possible, please let the folks know just how much I appreciated their help. And again, my respect and appreciation for Gary are profound. His actions, concern, time and attention to detail, and my needs were straight out of a customer service training. I called him so many times trying to get the info I needed to make a decision and place an order, yet he was patient, responsive, and knowledgeable EVERY single time. The icing on the cake was today when he called ME one hour after our agreed pick-up time just to check in on me and see if I'd picked up my order and was pleased with the outcome. They have one employee here on a Sunday morning. I am writing this review from the line. Everyone is taking a half hour to be seen. This is the slowest service I have seen at a fed ex. People are wandering the store completely aimless not being helped. The customers are all shrugging to one another saying "what the hell?!" And "I don't know." The employee is printing several things for one customer who says that he's been here for over an hour. People are getting out of line and walking out of the store. This is worse than the USPS or the DMV. I will certainly never do business here again if I can avoid it. read more

Their turnaround is super fast, usually next day, and they have gotten the order right every time, and given me a courtesy call to let me know as soon as its ready for pickup. I missed a delivery Thursday that required a signature and while Fed Ex was fast at getting it rerouted to this pack and ship store that's where it ended. I rolled in at 15 or so past 5pm Friday to 3 folks working at the counter. One of them acknowledged my presence then I was ignored for 4 minutes or more. I'm fairly hard to miss so I know they knew I was there but no one wanted to stop what they were doing to help me. Having never been there before I didn't know at which of the 20 different counters I was to wait at (a little exaggeration for effect) but apparently I was at the wrong one. Someone finally motioned me to the correct counter where I was assisted by the person who originally acknowledged me. If she would have been just a tenth of 100 % nicer I would have sworn I was being helped by a cobra. It's totally cool they're 24 hours but they won't ever have to worry about ignoring this face again since yesterday was a one and done event for me. I almost felt as though I should apologize for making them assist me. read more

I recently had a package shipped to my house that contained black powder and bullets which required a signature. I received a notice on my door and it said it was the 4th attempt of delivery, but I had not received any other indications. I signed up on the FedEx app and attempted to have this held at the FedEx location, since I could not be at home during the times of attempted delivery. I also called customer service and had them send the location a message to hold the package. The next day it was sent out for delivery again. I called customer service once again and they said it must have been a mistake, so they sent the message to the location to hold it again. That evening, I called the local facility in Chesapeake, VA to ensure it would be held. Once I explained my situation, they immediately said it was a customer service issue and transferred me to the 1-800 number. This morning I checked and the package is being sent back to the shipper. I called customer service once again, and they repeatedly said they tried to deliver the package multiple times with no success, but would not or could not speak to the previous inquiries I had made. I have been using FedEx for a long time, both professionally and personally. This is the first complaint I have ever had, but I find it to be absolutely unacceptable. read more

The Absolute Worst Delivery Service on the Face of the Earth !!! I Bought an Item from Amazon and I have Amazon Prime Services. This Amazon Service gives you two day delivery service. It has been now ten days and still NO package. I had a hold put on it so I could get the package I got from Amazon. Fed Ex told me to go to the 801 Volvo Parkway location. I went to pick my package up and was told it was not there and it would be in the next day. I went in the next day and they did not know where my package was. One of the Employees called to see where it was and told me it was at the 1920 Compestella rd. location and to go now to pick it up. They told me to call fed ex myself and go get it myself even when it was to be at the 801 Volvo location two days ago. Ten days have gone by and STILL NO PACKAGE!!! I drove down to the Campestella location to find it was already closed !!! So now I am going to have to take off of work and hunt down my package with no help from fedex.
