Had to run to drop off a labeled package. Scanned it, but the drop area was overflowing with boxes so asked the overweight, long-haired employee at the counter if I could just leave it. He was so rude. Told me I could not leave the box I had to wait. Literally was moving like he worked at the DMV. Said he had to scan it and asked me all the questions that I already answered on the keypad since I wasn't leaving it in the bin-which he clearly had not emptied and was filled with packages. If I could give negative stars I would. Came in today to ship a package. One gentleman was helping another customer and I was standing at the shipping counter in the side. I was waiting for a long time while this gentleman was finishing up, didn't say a word, and this rude guy named Robin yelled from the other side of the store that the line was in front. When I went to the side there was no one there; when this red headed guy with a beard Robin told me to stand in front there were 3 people in line, 2 of which had about 20 packages. I have had issues with him before. The manager needs to train Robin in customer service. I was so upset I went to the fed ex center on Academy. While at that center asked the person at the counter if he knew managers name there. A woman exiting turned around and send she just came from the fed ex where she had an issue with Robin. The bearded guy at the counter was rude! I took 3 steps in the area behind the counter that was wide open and clearly NOT marked for employees only, only to retrieve some paperwork that he improperly included with the wrong package and he yelled at me. I apologized! He threw the receipt at me for one item. He then processed my second return, scanned my drivers license. I just moved to the area and the address was incorrect. He refused to make any changes in his system, said I would have to create an account or change my license. I had no choice but to accept the terms even though it was incorrect. Being a fully remote employee is sometimes weird, and my experiences at this FedEx Office highlight some of the struggles. My employer has an exclusive print contract and the terms of it are interpreted in a way that prevents them from purchasing a printer or ink for me, which is mostly fine. On the occasions I need to have things printed, they'll pay for me to get them done here. But they need to be tax exempt and getting that set up - because my employer is in another state - has been kind of a headache. The system won't let my tax exempt status stick to my account. But that isn't the employees' fault, and I know that. The staff here are exceptionally helpful and patient and, frankly, have tried their darndest to circumvent whatever nonsense is causing the tax exempt status issues. They've created new accounts for me on multiple occasions, patiently entering the information for my employer. I've kind of given up on fighting the tax exempt fight because I am so, so tired and just pay out of pocket on the increasingly rare occasions that I need a few pages printed. But every print job has been done well, done quickly, and and staff are helpful. Definitely my go to spot for needing a few quick pages done. I haven't used larger print formats or anything specialized so I can't speak to that, and I haven't used their shipping options at all. read more

An almost perfect transaction! So, when it comes to any print project for work, I'm *that* person. I admit it...I have printing trust issues. I'm the one who needs to physically see things being printed to make sure the color is perfect. I like to see the paper, touch the paper, and I like to be there to manage anything that might not be perfect. It's a bit more time consuming that way (and annoying for the print shop), so I decided to step outside my comfort zone and convinced myself to try the online printing service to get some marketing postcards printed. I went online, opened an account, arranged the PDF file, paid, and hit the button. Easy peasy! A couple hours later, I was informed that my postcards where finished. Wow! I didn't get the chance to pick them up until tonight. Sadly, the white space around the edges isn't even. It's fine, but I'm not fully satisfied. The logo was almost chopped off, which leads me to believe it's a cutting issue. There's a good chance I'll probably print with FedEx again (though I have another print shop I go to that prints while I wait). However, I'll just make sure to pick up my projects a day early, in case anything anything needs to be tweaked. Excellent online ordering system, but offline quality was only 4 stars. And now I still have trust issues with FedEx. I'm trying! read more

This was a disappointing experience. I have had success with FedEx/Kinko's centers, especially in downtown Chicago (the one on east Erie is smaller but great!). I came here around 8:15pm one night, and there were two women working there. I asked for something that was admittedly specific, but both were unsure how to produce it, and they expressed that they hadn't been "trained in it." They said, though, that they'd get some help and be able to get the materials to me by the following morning. By noon the next day, I did not receive any call or communication regarding readiness, and I have not since (it's been three days). As far as printing, since it's such an integral part of a location like this, it was disappointing as well. The black and white printer kept printing smudged pages. (I could print black and white at home - just not color - but what about the people who can't print?) It was nice of them to offer to reimburse my credit card for it, but after ten minutes of trying to get the accompanying technology to work, they said I should come back the next day for my refund. This location has devolved and its standards seem to have declined over time. read more

Here's what you need to know: The service is very friendly and quick. In my 4-5 visits to this location, I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be assisted. I use this location primarily to print a document or drop off a package. And for those services, this location is excellent and always open. They have 3-4 workstations that aren't always available, where one can access the Internet and print a doc or 2. Additionally, they have self service copiers and printers which can be used by simply your card at the machines so it does away with waiting on being helped. The store offers some stationary and paper for sale too, but that is expectedly overpriced. I've never used their packaging services, but they are well stocked on that and always diligently working on preparing something that is about to be shipped out. Overall, a good essential stope to have in the neighborhood with friendly service. read more

The very best thing about this FedEx location is the hours, 24! There have been times that I need to get papers to the west coast overnight and it is already late in the evening. They have come through every time. Service is spotty. Some of the staff are very nice and easy to work with and others almost impossible. I recommend making sure you come in with your cup full of patience. Even if the staff are friendly, they are all very slow. read more

I work for a small office that ships out a number of supplies (approx. 25 packages a week) and I utilize FedEx to do package pickups for me 2-3 days a week. In the past few weeks, they have stopped coming to our office for the scheduled pickups, and the notes they put in the system for the package pickups are inconsistent and downright untruthful. I have called FedEx's 800 number several times in the past few weeks and have had NO resolution. I drop off the packages at the closest FedEx office location in Northbrook and no one is willing to assist me with any service issues, other than call the 800 number. I mean, whether it's a driver issue or a store issue, they should try to assist a customer with a fair resolution or a valid explanation. After all, the name on the truck, the dispatched driver and this facility all represent FedEx. Their 800 number is terrible, they take notes and claim someone will call you back, not once have they called me back ever. Regarding the FedEx office location, they are rude. Fast forward to today where in the beginning of a snow storm, they stated they were closing and that they cannot take my packages. It was a total of 14 packages. I just wanted to drop it off, i did not need a receipt and the 2 male staffers refused to accept my dropoff. They told me to take it to the Buffalo Grove FedEx Facility when I asked where can i drop off, which is about 10 miles away. This is not the first time I had issues with this facility. They could have taken the packages as a courtesy, but were completely unpleasant about it. Very disappointing. read more

This office always seems busier than it really is. If you need help, its usually a wait. I have had great service and really crappy service depending on who is working, BUT all the machines always work, and you can always get a copier or computer if you need it. Plus the fedex pickup is really late (8:30pm at the time of this review) so you can get your overnight stuff off really late if you need to. read more

Was very surprised to find this kind of service. Staff was very friendly and attentive. They didn't let people wait in line. There was always someone there to help or if you were waiting in line they acknowledged you were there. Based on one-time visit, had very good experience. Went late evening and support staff could not have been more helpful. Periodically checked paper (before it ran out) and stopped by just to see how the project was going. Place was empty due to lateness. Bought some supplies, which are pricey (more like a convenience store) which is why I'm giving this four star instead of five. OMG...the staff is soooooo slow and retarded. Both of them couldn't find my fax that I was waiting to receive at this Fedex office. When I asked for my fax, the guy asked me "what kind of box?". This was repeated at least 4 times when I finally yelled at him "FAAAAX, not BOX". The document, which was faxed to me was so important and urgent and they both said "it was probably tossed away". Are you kidding me??? Tossed away??? The second guy that I asked to look for it didn't even try to find it. He belived his co-worker who couldn't find it in the first place. The other customer who was trying to ship a package got frustrated, too because the guy was so slow and he even lost the shipping label that the customer just handed to him.
