4pc chicken wing dinner with mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread.
    Tanya Y.

We stopped by Feed Your Soul and ordered the 4-piece fried chicken dinner with two sides plus a side of cornbread. As soon as I opened the box, I knew we were in for something special. The chicken looked incredible--golden, crispy, and generously portioned. The entire meal gave that unmistakable home-cooked comfort vibe right from the start. Highlights of the Dishes: Fried Chicken: Perfectly fried to a deep golden brown, the chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Every bite was flavorful, moist, and satisfying--the kind of comfort food that makes you pause and smile. It tasted like it came straight from a family kitchen, made with love and patience. Collard Greens: The collard greens were a standout. Savory, slow-cooked, and seasoned with soul, they had that deep, smoky flavor that can only come from hours of simmering. One bite and it truly touched my soul--rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. Baked Macaroni and Cheese: This was classic baked mac and cheese done right. Creamy and cheesy inside, with a crispy, caramelized layer of baked cheese on top that added texture and bold flavor. Every forkful blended comfort, richness, and that irresistible bite of toasted cheese--the definition of soul food satisfaction. Cornbread: The cornbread was moist, dense, buttery, and lightly sweet--a perfect partner to the savory dishes. It had that homemade taste and texture that only comes from scratch baking. Every part of this meal felt intentional and heartfelt. You can taste the quality, freshness, and love poured into every bite. While some might consider $23.99 a bit high for a chicken dinner, it's absolutely worth every penny for the portion size, made-from-scratch cooking, and pure comfort it delivers. This is soul food done right--real, honest, and satisfying. I'm already planning to go back to try their desserts next, because if they're anything like this meal, I know they'll be just as unforgettable. Friendly service too!

I'm from Harrisburg and I can't believe I'm just discovering this place now! My soror from out of town came to visit so we wanted to support a black owned business and I found this one on yelp review and it didn't disappoint. I was craving catfish and collard greens so I ordered that with Mac and cheese and my soror ordered candied yams and the food was finger licking good! They warned us the prices are much higher than what's on the menu because of inflation so we were warned. The hospitality was so good and the ambiance was nice and comfortable and intimate. I wish there was more advertisements for this restaurant it would go far. It's overshadowed by the hibachi and Mexican restaurant in the front and is kind of hidden in the back. That's my only con about it. Other than that it's affordable and the food is really good. I'll be back!

    This is the actual receipt.

We were deceived in the pricing of the food, condiments, service and gratuity. Upon ordered our food, we were not made aware of any increases in the pricing of the food. Our final check did not reflect what we saw on the menu. I would consider this purposeful deception of false advertisement. Since this was a stop through before we went to out social event, we only ordered enough to hold us until the event. We ordered a catfish dinner with sides, 2 drinks and 1 extra side of cabbage. My wife and i split a meal. The price of the menu vs charged price... 2 pc. Catfish dinner w/ 2 sides.......$17.99. Charged $23.99 extra side of cabbage was $6.99 ( vinegar for the cabbage $.99} An extra plate....$1.00 Because we shared a meal...$3.00 See actual menu and receipt in photos section. When we disputed the prices that we were charged by the server, he said, "You can talk to the owner, because on the menu it says prices subject to change." The owner told us that the menu is 5 years old and the prices were not the same due to an error on the part of the woman who made the menus (5 years ago). I would never recommend anyone to dine with this restaurant. This restaurant need to have full disclosure of their charges. Full Disclosure!

So this is our second visit to this location. This time we opted for take out. We ordered a four wing dinner with Mac n cheese and yams for the side. We also had a small sides of brown rice and yams. Our drinks were tea and lemonade. Everything was good!!! The wings are a good size and tasted very good. The yams were juicy, flavorful and just sweet enough. The brown rice had beans mixed in. The service was good and there is an option to dine in if you would like. There is ample parking available. We will be back again.

I ate there while I was in Harrisburg and the quality of the food exceeds the super affordable prices. I had the steak with lobster and I would travel to Harrisburg just to repeat this dish. The most important thing is how friendly the people who served me were.

Everything was good. Collards were excellent, mac and cheese burnt perfectly on top, yams amazing. I'm mad I didn't get dessert.

I'd spotted their truck at community festivals and events more times than I can count, but every single time there was a line...and every single time my impatience won. Until one beautiful Friday evening in July. For the first time ever, Soul Lotta Empanadas and I found ourselves in the same place without a crowd standing between us. This was my moment! The hardest part wasn't waiting. It was deciding what to order. Their menu is packed with creative empanadas and, if I'm being honest, I wanted approximately all of them. After a solid internal debate, I landed on the Crab Rangoon Empanada, the Cheesesteak Empanada and a cup of their Street Corn, mostly because I saw someone else walking around with it and immediately developed food envy. A few minutes later, I was handed my basket of empanadas and my cup of street corn. I was absolutely starving, so naturally the Crab Rangoon Empanada got first dibs. And it absolutely lived up to the hype I'd built up in my head! The filling was rich, creamy and packed with flavor. Everything I love about crab rangoon was there, just wrapped inside a perfectly fried empanada instead of a tiny wonton. Honestly, this might be my preferred crab rangoon delivery system now. Why eat eight little rangoons when you can eat one giant one? The Cheesesteak Empanada was just as generously stuffed. Plenty of flavorful filling, plenty of cheese and another excellent choice. If I had to order again tomorrow, I'd happily get either one without hesitation! Then there was the street corn. It was a little different than what I'm used to, leaning more tangy and bright than rich and creamy, but I actually really enjoyed that! It was topped with crushed Cheetos, which honestly made me smile before I even took the first bite. It also made one thing very clear...I had ordered entirely too much food. The empanadas disappeared, but the street corn came home with me. And sometime around the middle of the night, I found myself standing in my kitchen finishing it cold and straight from the cup like a feral raccoon. No regrets! If you see Soul Lotta Empanadas at a festival and there's a line, wait. Trust me! I spent way too long letting long lines scare me away, and now I know they were worth waiting in all along. My only problem now? I've got my eye on those Apple Cobbler dessert empanadas. Looks like I'm going to have to track this food truck down again before summer ends. And this time...I'm ordering dessert first!

The other ones we tried were also great. But the key, must-have ingredient is their sauce! A combination of sweet - kinda like an orange chicken sauce - and bbq flavor. It is SOOO good you'll want to keep buying more.

It used to be called Sad Seafood. This place has been around for years and has always been known for its amazing crab cake sandwich, but today I didn't want to catch any crabs, so I got myself some fish instead. I ordered the lunch special, and I must say, the mac & cheese is very good. The cabbage, of course, were a little bland--I personally would prefer a bit more vinegar. The fish was crispy with a nice seasoning on it, too. I think it could definitely taste better, though; personally, I like a little spice or "bite" with my fish. However, I guarantee it would pair perfectly with the sweet potatoes if it were just a little bit hotter! The pricing is very reasonable, and the amount of food you get for the size is delightful. I will definitely be back--maybe next time for some crab cakes and hush puppies, especially since there are no more Long John Silver's in the Harrisburg area.
