Baby Octopus spicy soon-tofu $13
Amy W.

Great find and recommendation by my friend Yumi who wrote the previous review! Thumbs up! Definitely deserving of 5 stars! From the ambiance to the friendly attentive service. You can have a crappy day, when you hit this spot, your mood will light up! The menu is designed for small portion korean dishes Izakaya. Amazing for people like me who wants to try everything! As a salmon lover, of course I had to cover my basis and order all the salmon items on the menu. From the ponzu salmon to the miso glazed salmon with asparagus. You wouldn't feel overwhelmed by salmon. The ponzu was sashimi style with a bed of ponzu and topped with some sesame and seaweed flakes. So fresh and delicious! The miso glazed salmon was a nice big piece of salmon, similar to a a la carte dish beautifully cooked with asparagus done just right. Usually, I hate asparagus, but they did it right here. So I enjoyed it! Moving on to the sake clams, fresh and delicious. The baby octopus spicy soon tofu was spicy, but I love it spicy! The baked Pollock roe omelette was nice with the salty pollock in the centre. Well balanced. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends! They open at 8:30pm and grand opening special, $9.99 first bottle of sofu per table and 10% when you pay cash! Definitely worth checking out! A happy vibrant place to dine and spend the evening!

This brand new Korean bar is a total vibe! Love the soju neon light! Our waiter was very friendly from the moment we stepped in. He asked where we wanted to sit. We had options of booths but we opted for the private room. There are four cute private rooms with sliding door. We didn't bother closing the door but other customers chose too. We tried Good Day pineapple soju. No pineapple flavour but taste very similar to the grape flavored soju. Definitely recommend if you like flavoured soju! Sweet and sour pork was recommend by our waiter. I had imagined a red sauce but it came very lemony. Also had a touch of ginger. Crispy! The patbingsoo had a very nice deep toasty/roasty soybean flavour. Most other Korean shaved ice places around don't use injeolmi with this intense flavour. I do wish the ice was more finely milled. From now until July 9th, they have a few promotions that are stackable. First bottle of soju is $9.99. Limit to one per table. Tag them on IG story and write a Google review for 5% off. Pay with cash for 10% off!

Such a nice pocha bar! The atmosphere is laid-back and trendy, with a wide variety of Korean dishes, from classic favorites like bulgogi and bibimbap to more adventurous options like skewers, kimchi tacos and cheese corn. I would highly recommend their highballs and cocktails from their drink menu - i tried the 24k cocktail and it was really good.

The menu is overpriced, both for drinks and food. The service took so long. The staff was friendly but they can definitely do better.

It's been ages since I went to a St. Louis location and I'm pleasantly surprised. Service was great…read moreand what's even better are the prices. We were lured in through some mail in ads that showcased their daily specials. which are pretty great. When we were there it was $15 for a burger with a side and a pint of beer or $2 less for pop. We each got one of those and ordered a lb of wings to share as well. They serve wings in the original format which is less breaded and the breaded version is bigger and more crispy and maybe caloric. We opted original for the wings and fries. For our burgers, we went for veggie sticks and an upgraded bowl of salad to balance out the meal. I'm just surprised that the greens were super fresh for a bar. I'm so used to crappy old salads from a pubs. Burgers were nice and juicy. Wings are as consistent as I last remembered it. The server even allowed me to customize a sauce blend because it wasn't too busy that night. We even peeked at their drink menu and cocktails are like only $8 something and it's regular price. Overall great experience.

To mind you, I think this location is one of the better St Louis restaurants... (I definitely like it more than the downtown bloor location). It got three stars for the atmosphere and the fact that it's better than the other St. Louis I've been to - it's new and comfortable. The service was ok.

Both are non-negotiable and always hit. We still like to switch it up sometimes, and this visit we tried a few different dishes: * Kataifi-Wrapped prawn tempura: crunchy, and the wasabi mayo was my favorite part. * Nagasaki Champon with ramen: cozy and comforting. * Grilled Squid with butter: simple and done right * Beef Brisket Yaki Soba: savory and satisfying, with bonito flakes doing their little dance on top. * Karaage: coming from someone who doesn't love greasy food, this one was not greasy at all and still juicy inside. Lowkey missing their grilled beef intestine though Great highball selection as well. We got the peach highball for the one who likes sweet, and the yuzu highball for the one who likes sour. I went with the Snow beer Sapporo, topped with shaved frozen beer. Such a nice way to keep the beer cold without diluting it. Service here has always been amazing, whether they're busy or not, and that's a big reason why I keep coming back.

We went here to try the highballs since there is not a lot of places that have it. So we were excited about that. But man! The food is so good! It was so hard to choose a dish between 4 people. We chose 3 and we left satisfied. We will definitely come back to try more dishes. I would suggest come early. Parking is hard there being on Yonge Street.

This hole in the wall place is close by to our home and it's been on our radar for awhile. Finally stopped in for the quarter final England vs Norway game. As we figured most bars and pubs will be packed we really didn't wanna be in a crowded place. So glad we did, they did special World Cup pints for $5! We weren't crazy hungry so we go the bang bang shrimp to start! Best bang bang shrimp we've ever had! Came in 8 pcs for $13.99. Next we decided to take advantage of the 2lbs wing with fries for $15 when you order a pitcher of beer. ($21.99 and up) We got Cajun and lemon pepper! Their wings are huge and their spice blends was fire!! Was sad they ran out of mango chipotle! Will definitely be back to try their tacos! The only thing worth mentioning is even with their high ceiling their ventilation seems not so good. You could smell everything the kitchens making. Other than that this place was awesome!

Well, if you're stuck waiting for a Viva bus, and you want a beer, and there's nothing else…read morearound...anyway, that's why I went in. The place is gorgeous on the outside and inside. I imagine the patio must be great in the summer. Yonge Street is close by, but Canadians become immune to carbon monoxide is summer because we throng to any outoor space, and rhe patio is further back than many downtown Toronto patios. The vibe inside is "moneyed gastropub". Glass and wood and UK heritage. The menu is huge, so a bit of a red lag, and more like a chain pub than a gastropub. FIghting off my PTSD from the last time I ordered a non-deep fried fish from a pub, I ordered the salmon with a side of mashed potatoes. The server seemed a bit nervous, so I ran down my mental checklist. Shaved in the morning? Check. Showered? Check. Wearing clothes? Check. However, she was efficient, so no real complaints. The salmon arrived with a surprisingly nice presentation. It didn't smell like fish, so my PTSD subsided. It was a bit bland at the start, but as I got further in, the seasoning on top were quite pleasent. The peppers underneath were from frozen, and the mashed potatoes were from flakes, but it wasn't bad. Prices were at the level of any GTA gastropub. I imiagine this place is really popular with the locals, especially in summer. I can't say it's a destination, though, as there are so many pubs with the same design choices and vibe to choose from, and some have limited menus to focus on what the chef does best. But, if you're stuck at that bus stop and want a beer, I'd recommend it!

We ordered the pan-seared beef intestine, calamari, Korean Army Stew, and pork hock with salad. The beef intestine was cut tableside, which made the experience even more enjoyable, and the texture was excellent. The Army Stew was massive, packed with toppings, and perfect for sharing. The pork hock paired with the fresh salad was another highlight--the refreshing salad balanced the rich, tender pork beautifully. Every dish came in generous portions, making it a great place to dine with family or friends. The restaurant also has big screens for watching sports, plenty of free parking, and a daily $16.99 soju special that makes the experience even better. Great food, generous portions, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere--we'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Korean comfort food in Toronto!

Filling & flavourful, I recommend! Had Kim's Makegeoli, mango flavoured and it was an amazing compliment to the meal. Service- self serve at counter top. No tips. Seating - they do have seating at the main level as well as a sunny, well lit second level with more seating. I think this restaurant spot has a lot of potential to grow, and attract small groups looking to catch up, drink, eat and hang! Overall, would recommend :)
