A total of 4 of us came here on one of the most bitter winter days this year as we needed an indoor interactive activity. We thought mini golf was interactive, everyone had the same chance to play and it's simple enough without exerting too much energy (unlike an escape room or the dancing tiles which I also came across in my research). Great place for friends, families, dates of all ages. We checked in on the ground floor (also have a coat check here) and were told they have a cabin themed course on the 2nd floor and a museum themed course on the 3rd floor, but there was a party going on. They also told us about the rooftop lounge, which is covered with plastic and they have heaters blasting the space. We went with the cabin themed. Although I don't think they completely blocked the 3rd floor with the party, we just didn't want to have to compete with others and wanted a quiet experience. They have stairs or an elevator. Once we got to the 2nd floor, we were the only ones there and were explained how the digital scoring works. We inputted our names, and our scoreboard would follow us from board to board in sequence after we all punched in our scores. The max was 6 putts per course to help keep things moving (we definitely played more than 6 on some courses lol). The courses did progressively get more challenging as you moved on. The decor was beautiful. Fairy lights lined the space with murals or a ski lodge/mountains around with a polar bear and a ski mobile. Many cute photo ops. On the last course, once you made it, the game swallowed your ball, I guess to help prevent you from trying to play the course again. I wish there was more than 9 courses though. It was fun enough but maybe having a few more would have helped fill the time more. Time flew by and we had lots of laughs. We bought two rounds of puttery online, and once we arrived, they gave us two cards each where we can either start on the 2nd (snowy resort themed) or 3rd floor (colosseum themed). After presenting our cards, we realized we were also able to order drinks. While it was nice to sip drinks while playing, carrying drinks from area to area was a hassle especially if you have a line of people waiting behind you. I'd recommended you enjoy your drinks before you begin or after you finish. Each floor takes about 45 minutes to complete. Personally, I enjoyed the 2nd floor much more than the 3rd floor since it felt more open and less cramped. Definitely recommend the Berry Basil Smash if you prefer a sweet and refreshing mocktail. read more

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday night. I expected it to be packed, but because SantaCon was happening the same day, it was surprisingly empty. I booked a social package that included 90 minutes of reserved seating, one round of mini golf, and a $25 food or drink voucher per person. When we arrived, we were given tickets for mini golf, but the staff seemed unsure about how the food and drink vouchers worked. After some back-and-forth, we learned the vouchers could only be used on the second floor, and if used for drinks, there was only one option available -- a blue rum drink with coconut. Unfortunately, the drink missed the mark for me and my friends, and the recipe could definitely use some improvement. We were also never shown where our reserved seating was, which was disappointing. That said, I had an amazing group of friends, and we still made the night a lot of fun. We played the Lodge course on the second floor, which is their most challenging course and beautifully decorated. I also loved the tablet that kept score for us -- it was a great touch. The rooftop area is another highlight: it's heated and really enjoyable during the winter. Overall, while the atmosphere and mini golf were fun, I wouldn't book a party package again -- it wasn't worth the cost. Next time, I'd just pay for mini golf directly. read more

We had such a great time at Puttery. The courses are more spread out so you don't feel cluttered with everyone and they frequently come and check on you for drinks. The courses are themed very differently so you can choose which vibe you're looking for. There is the snowy lodge concept and the artistic course. I liked the way the courses were set up. You really had to think about some of the shorter and how it would be possible to get the golf balls in. The whole experience was great and felt casual and fun. We didn't feel rushed or forced. I came here when I found a great deal for both comedy and mini-golf. The burger I ordered wasn't great; the bottom bun was very soggy. It also seemed a bit inefficient that everyone from the show audience went straight over to the golf course so there was a somewhat long wait to play. The course itself was probably one of the worst mini golf courses I've played in terms of actually being playable. There were some almost impossible ramps and obstacles, as well as areas where the balls could go and get lost forever so we had to go get another ball. I did like the themed design and also the digital scoreboards, but sadly that wasn't enough to make up for the course itself. read more

We came here on a cold and rainy Saturday around 2pm with a group of 6. It was busy but the gal at the front desk was efficiently checking people in (we did not have a reservation and were able to go in right away) and checking coats. The courses themselves are very fun, and it's worth it to get 2 courses. Each comes with 9 holes, and they're located on different levels. The holes were designed well with detailed and creative designs and hole access, and the digital score cards were awesome. The game play itself was a great experience. Knocking off 2 stars because operationally this place has a ton of room for improvement. I went to use the restroom upon arriving and there were absolutely no paper products in the entire bathroom. No toilet paper or seat covers in either stall, and no paper towels. Also, the same person checking people in upstairs to actually begin gameplay is also the same person taking drink orders around the course, and going to the bar to get and deliver the drinks? We saw plenty of other staff so it didn't seem like they were understaffed. There were multiple bartenders at the actual bar. We had to wait a long time to get started purely because no one was at the front to get us started. Then when we wanted drinks after getting stated, she was no where to be found. The drink menus they have around the course are also not accurate as to what they actually have in stock at the bar. Food (4/5): Food was definitely overpriced especially for the portion size but the quality of some of their dishes was actually surprisingly good. We ordered a burger and miso salmon sandwich. The burger was alright and standard fare, but the miso salmon was actually really solid with good flavors. Portion was small though. We also had a taco nada which was surprisingly super good. Service (3/5): Overall the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a couple issues like we had to ask for water several times before it came out and some of our food order got delayed. Also while playing golf the staff seemed a bit lackadaisical and gave us the wrong handed clubs without asking and when we asked they basically just took ours and handed over other random clubs. But most of the staff was good. Ambiance (5/5): Probably the best part here. Chill vibe where there is multiple floors with fun areas. I came in with 6 people and had to pay $25 each in order to get to the knicks watch party that was advertised. I entered the place and they gave me a free drink card only because it came with the $25 I paid in advanced. Turns out the card was only for the standing area of the knicks watch party but it was already packed and no where to stand. I went upstairs to eat because they said there were more screens. As I get to the next floor, I see a bar with two little screens. I asked the waitress if they put the volume up for when the basketball game starts, she proceeds to tell me no. At that point what did I even pay for? I am super upset by this restaurant. I didn't even get a refund either. I decided to leave early and call it a night before the Knicks even got to play. I personally think it was a good deal considering alternatives in the city (like Swingers which is so much more expensive). We had so much fun and honestly the only thing that i'm docking a star from the review is that we didn't notice until after reconciling the build that they charged a $50 deposit that was added to the bill. This upscale mini golf venue just opened in Chelsea/Meatpacking. It tastefully combines two mini golf courses with food, cocktails, lounging, and a speakeasy experience. You can make reservations online. Since it's new, I was able to book same day and there were lots of times available, but I do think it will fill up quickly as word gets out. You can book tickets for one or both of the mini golf courses. When we arrived in the lobby, waiters were serving passed hors d'oeuvres. This was unexpectedly fancy, but a nice touch to set the ambiance. They have a free coat check at the front desk as well. After you are checked in, you can visit any of the floors of the venue at your leisure. We started on the rooftop, which was spacious and had nice views of the Highline and Hudson. They had space heaters blasting which made many of the hightop tables a little too toasty, but there were also seats available away from the heaters for enjoying the open air. They also had a few swinging pod couches, which were fun to try out. For my first drink, I got the margarita standoff. It had way too much ice and was bitter and watery. My partner got the last diner, which was sweet and tasty so I ordered that next. To eat, I had the tofu tacos. They also had impossible beef tacos, so it was great to have some variety as a vegetarian. I enjoyed the tacos and the ingredients tasted fresh, but they could've used a sauce. My partner got the double smash burger and fries and loved both. After we ate, we headed to the mini golf courses located on the second and third floors. They had ski lodge and art museum themes. The museum course was a bit more spread out. Both courses had 9 holes. For both, you had to wait a few minutes for the party in front of you to finish each hole. The museum course also had around a 20 minute wait just to enter. On the courses, you could order drinks, but no food was allowed. Both were fun and had creative trick shots. You had to count your strokes, but there was a convenient digital screen at each hole for keeping score. Later in the night, it got pretty crowded, but the layout kept traffic moving pretty well. We finished the night in the speakeasy in the basement. It was not super crowded and had velvet couches, tables, and a nice hip hop playlist. Here I ordered the banana stand cocktail. It was sweet and very strong. The banana taste was not overpowering. Overall, this is a great option for date night or a group of friends. My girlfriend is in the elevator and inadvertently had her golf club still with her. An attendant snatched it out of her hand in an unnecessarily aggressive manner. The bartender also felt the need to serve us overpriced drinks in literal silence, puts the digital machine in front of us upside down so the price can't be seen, then gives attitude when we try to turn the machine around to see the glorious $7+ priced Diet Coke and $21 mixed drink. They just opened this past weekend so it wasn't too crowded. You can get tickets online to reserve a time (costs about $25 per person for one course). They have two courses (each on a different floor) as well as a rooftop but it wasn't open since it was cold. They were doing a promo so they let us do two courses instead of just one! The course on the third floor had a museum theme while the course on the second floor had a lodge theme. Both courses had 9 holes each. While you make your way through the rounds the server comes around to take your orders. Each course also had cocktails special to the floor that were unavailable at the other course. Drinks were around 20 each. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I believe they have food but we didn't get any. You can go in groups of two or three. Puttery has been on my bucket list for months, after becoming familiar with other locations around the US, and a competing adults-only mini golf spot elsewhere in the city. Well, they finally opened and we visited this past Sunday afternoon with a prior made reservation. The space is huge: Basement: Speakeasy bar 1st Floor: entry level 2nd floor: Lodge course + bar 3rd floor : Museum course + bar 4th floor: rooftop cocktail bar While they provide a fantastic regular "signature cocktails" list available at main bars throughout all levels, there are areas that have a focused cocktails menu, such as themed cocktails on each golf course, and a separate cocktails menu in the speakeasy bar in the basement. We tried several cocktails from each menu: Margarita Standoff: a well-made spicy pineapple margaritas Ek Choug's Bounty (museum menu): similar to a tequila Aperol spritz Iced Irish Coffee (lodge menu): a delicious ski-lodge whiskey based dessert drink Float Like a Butterly: similar to a tequila apricot martini All of their cocktails were delicious - boozy, yet balanced and not too sweet. We chatted with the rooftop bartender and he expresses there is a very strong focus on cocktails overall. The golf was very fun also: There are two courses with different themes, ski lodge and museum, each with 9 holes. Each hole had a medium level of difficulty and was very well thought out and creative. Scorekeeping was via tablet at each hole, and very easy to log after each person completed putting. Your score followed you from hole-to-hole, too. Everyone there was friendly and helpful and seemed very happy working there , and I would definitely go back with friends for a night out. read more

This mini golf space is adults only, 21+ which makes for a nice experience. There are two courses available, the museum and the ski lodge. The museum seemed to be the most popular because there was a lot more people on that floor. You can do one course for $25 or two for $40. I chose to do both courses. If you came into the city for this you might as well. Each course is 9 holes and will probably take you about half hour. There are drinks you can buy while golfing, $19 per cocktail and there is also a restaurant. The activity was fun but I don't see it as a repeat visit unless they change the courses. read more

Came here for the play and eat deal. We had a blast, we played a round on the third floor. It was museum themed, each round was cute, not too difficult. Unfortunately by the 2nd to last round the machine glitched and lost our entire scorecard. When we asked for help, one of the unenthusiastic workers came over and just complained that the system was poorly designed. So we just played the last round and called it a tie. We went up to the rooftop for dinner. When we told them we bought the play and eat package one of the servers urged us to eat downstairs because he didn't know how to process that deal. Thankfully another server did, she was very helpful and when we told her that our scores got erased she brought us free tix for another day. For dinner we had corn ribs, wings, chips and dip, brussel sprouts, burgers and my husband had a chicken sandwich. Everything was good especially the chicken sandwich. I also had an aperol spritz which was the best i've had in a while. All in all the place is fun but the service needs to tighten up. Some staff just seem to care more than others. read more
