I needed to find a vet for my cat so I decided to go here since they specialize in cats. My cat was having an issue with fleas so we decided to take her here to get checked out. They were transparent about the costs of what they were going to do with her. She was treated with care. While we didn't end up getting her a lion's cut because they would need to put her to sleep, we did get some flea medication, a vaccine and some much needed relief for my cat. Honestly makes me really sad to write this review. I really loved this place because they were a cat only place. But since the ownership changed, so did everything else. I don't want to throw anyone under the bus, which I won't, but I felt my interactions with a particular vet has not been pleasant. Unprofessional. Which was not warranted at all. Today we took our Scottish Fold boy, Otis in for his check up. He has a spot on his eye, and certain "c" word was mentioned at his last visit. Now "One-eyed Otis" may be a great name for a blues singer, but we were really worried. The staff is on a first name basis with us...so friendly!! No one but Dr. Sue would do!! She was happy to say that his eye looked good, and it is not a problem, yet. YEA!!! Good news or bad, she is simply the best vet we have ever seen!! read more

My dear Alex is sick, very sick. I had a feeling my usual vet wasn't trying so hard to diagnose what was wrong with him, and after my sister and her husband's horrible experiance with putting down their own cat, I didn't want to have to deal with the same trama they did with said vet. So I took my little Alex in yesterday for a same day appointment. I was amazed at how clean they keep their office! I didn't feel that urgent need to shower ASAP and all the employees were very friendly. Alex was actually pretty calm despite the circumstances and he HATES the vets office. But surprisingly here, he was really calm. So we ended up seeing Dr. Connally who was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and very detailed in all her explainations about everything and trying to diagnose my cat. She was upfront about all of the procedures and I could tell she geniunely care about the well being of my cat. Long story short, my kitty is more comfortable now, luckily we were able to take him home that night. We're still waiting to hear back on the test results, but Dr. Connally has already laid out all of the options available so we're well prepared regardless of the news. Despite the grim circumstances surrounding our visit, I couldn't have asked to be treated more respectfully and professionally despite what we were going through, I couldn't have asked for more from a vet hospital. read more

Great at billing. Patient care is inconsistent at best. Communication is by turns nonexistent and argumentative. But boy are they good at recommending incredibly expensive and irrelevant tests and preparing bills. If that's what you want from a vet, this is the place for you. read more

Be aware that most of the reviews under this listing are for another business that essentially closed in 2015. Nothing remains of the original business. I would not recommend the current practice. The reviews prior to 2016 should not be included in this Yelp listing, as they are for the fantastic vets who established the original practice under the Feline Medical Center name. The bulk of the positive reviews are deservedly for that practice, which is long gone. The current practice is owned and run by a different company (Bishop Ranch). Since 2012, I've taken my cats to the original FMC/FVC, as well as BR and BR's other practice, Amador Valley Veterinary Center. The current FVC is nothing like the original FMC practice, with exception of only treating cats. Doctors, pricing, service, and mentality are completely different now. FMC was easily a five-star business. Dr. Marshall was rare and truly wonderful; Dr. Connally was also very good. My senior guys had typical old man chronic health issues but were kept under control and did well for years under their care. After Sue Marshall's illness and departure, my cats' health went downhill, despite continuing to see various vets within the practice, which was now run by BR. We spent several thousand here within a year. From ultrasounds and x-rays to blood tests up the wazoo, there was always another test being recommended; I was in here multiple times a month. It was ridiculous. Yet none of the vets across FVC/BR/AVVC could diagnose my cat with chronic upper respiratory issues. One of them said, "there's something big going on" but couldn't tell me what. For a nasal exam he needed to be put under general, which his age and heart prevented. At one point, one of the vets said he had abdominal cancer based on his ultrasound. We began treatment. During a subsequent checkup, my regular vet at the same practice took another look at the ultrasound and said the other vet had been mistaken. I suspect the unnecessary chemo reduced his immunity and worsened his respiratory issue, as, while he'd been stable for years, he worsened soon after. Things culminated with my primary vet leaving town without notice, during which time my cat suddenly declined. I contacted the practice to be told my vet was out for a week, so I took him to the "abdominal cancer" backup vet at Bishop, who guessed he now had a facial tumor (?!) based on a bump no one else had felt (nor had I) and essentially said there's nothing to be done. I should have known better than to trust her again. I regret it every day. Despite medication and crazed-mom care, he deteriorated so quickly he could barely walk and I had to let him go a day later. He had also apparently been dehydrated (despite getting sub-q fluids at home) but the vet never mentioned it. He was my child, total love of my life. I later discovered that dehydration was likely behind his mobility issues but the vet missed it. I didn't suspect it because I'd been giving him fluids. I still wonder what would've happened if the vet had him put on more fluids and monitored instead of telling me by palpating his nose that he probably had cancer and sending us home. My other senior cat died two months later but to my knowledge it was not to do with the care provided here, unless they missed his cancer along the way. He'd been receiving treatment for kidney failure and hyperthyroidism but those were stable when he died. Two+ years and a couple cats later, I reluctantly returned here (and once to BR) because my cats were well and young. Two healthy kitten checkups were uneventful. I took my third in and at the vet's suggestion (he also suggested a second test and a dental cleaning), had a CBC run. I was told I'd be called in about 48 hours with the results to find out if he had kidney dysfunction, diabetes, or hyperthyroidism, all of which the vet said could be behind his (mild) issues. It took a week and a half with my leaving two messages to get them to contact me with the results. One consistent factor among the BR vets is that they are always upselling tests, etc. They are, kindly put, not competitively priced. The real issue is that their treatment and service don't warrant the price scale. Yes, it's nice to have a cats-only practice but unlike Marshall and Connally, the vets here are not cat specialists. They are general vets that worked at the other practices before BR bought out Feline Medical Center. Bottom line to this absurdly long review: believe the negative reviews and don't bother reading beyond 2015, as those reviews have nothing to do with this business. This place is fine for healthy check-ups, buying RX food, and paying through the nose, etc. But if you have cats with serious or chronic illnesses or if you value professionalism, dependability, and quality service, perhaps look around Yelp a bit more. I gave them an undeserved second chance and they managed to blow it. read more

Have you ever felt you were born in the wrong time period or gender? I do because on the outside I am a masculine man in his 40's but on the inside I'm an 80 year old cat lady. Sure, I wear vintage jeans, sport a goatee and drive a fast car but that's all superficial. On the inside, I wear an old wool sweater that is adorned with cats, drink herbal tea and spend quality time with my very special cat. My cat is an important part of my family and she deserves the very best care. So, after a really bad visit to my former vet I decided to try a new vet. Thank you YELP because Dr. Connolly spent a good deal of time getting to know my cat and understand her issues. Luckily, we caught some conditions in their early stages and we are taking steps to make sure that she stays healthy. The office was very clean and the staff was attentive. I really appreciated how Dr. Connolly called me back with the test results and even followed up with me during a 2nd phone call to make sure all of my questions were answered. My cat needs a special diet and prescription - the staff was able to recommend places where I could get these for less money than their office. That was really appreciated. The overall cost of the visit was high but not significantly more than my other vet. Besides - my special cat is worth it. I'm really glad that I found a new vet. Now if I only could only find a place that sells men's wool cat sweaters in an XL that would be great. read more

I recently got yet another message recently concerning this review, I would like to make it perfectly clear. I asked if they meant the FVCP and if I would need to bring him back for another set, or if maybe they got them mixed up. I was very rudely told that no, it was the distemper shot. I told them that was strange because I fostered kittens in high school and they always got a series of kitten shots. The woman told me that was not the case and if I wanted to be paranoid I could get the feline rabies shots. As soon as we were out the the vet's office he stopped shaking and clinging to me. And to top it all off we used to take a senior cat here, she had aqueous humor misdirection syndrome. We took her in once a week for check up, well when we left this vet and went to another it turned out she had trichinosis. We paid FMC hundreds of dollars to treat her eye and run blood work to find out why she was have so many problems and the whole time she had toxoplasmosis as well. The toxoplasmosis was making her condition worse, now that we have that treated she is doing so much better. Her eye problem is under control and the vet said we definitely won't have to have surgery to remove her eye (which FMC was saying would have to happen). Nice to know we spent a lot of money on blood work and god knows how many other tests for them to miss that. read more

I love that this is a feline only vet. Even though my cat probably couldn't have been much more freaked out about visiting the vet in the first place, I think it helped that there weren't any dogs around... Dr. Frommer and Dr. Connelly have both been fantastic over the last 5 weeks while we were taking one of my cats in for tests, surgery, etc. Dr. Frommer was our primary doctor throughout the five weeks, but Dr. Connelly called a couple of times with results and was very thorough and pleasant. I definitely sense that Dr. Frommer is better with the cats than the humans, but that's totally fine with me!!!! I want the best for my kitties! At first I was a little concerned she wasn't very thorough or kind of out there, but she has been spot on and I have total confidence in her now. For an idea of pricing: The checkup was $59 (I think...somewhere close to that anyway). They ran a series of tests on my cat before they would be willing to put her under anesthesia to do the biopsy of the growths in her ear. Those tests cost around $500 (blood tests, urinalysis, bartonella's test...). The surgery cost $907. This included a tooth extraction, which was really expensive $200+), the histopath which was about $157... the medication we were sent home with (a form of morphine for the pain $47 and the antibiotics $35), etc. It seems that their prices are pretty comparable to most other places, but a word of advice for those with younger kitties. GET INSURANCE. These guys accept insurance. They also offer boarding services for $18/day. The staff in general is super nice and it's very obvious that they all love cats. I'd definitely feel safe leaving my cats with them if the need arose. I'm so glad we found this place. It's in the same shopping center as Boswell's, Tuesday Morning and Girasole Grill. read more

Recommended for cat grooming. Is associated with my vet. First thing I'm told is I need an exam (been slightly less than a year but they are NOT my vet!!!!) AND my indoor only cat needs rabies vaccine which my vet DOES NOT recommend. This is their POLICY. Why? For the safety of their techs is what I was told, but this can't be true. How is giving a vaccine at time of service helpful to the tech? I can understand if this was a rescued animal, but since I've had him indoors for almost a year, I am positive he doesn't have rabies. THIS IS A MONEY MAKER!!!! There are draw backs to the rabies vaccine and for them to insist just based on POLICY tells me they only care about making money and NOT about the health of their client. I haven't seen the vets so can't comment on them but I will never take my animals to this factory. read more

Heading: Dr. Marshall is Super Woman! We have a nearly 16-year-old cat named Sugar. She was a rescue at age 3 months for our daughter--who was 5 years old at the time and she is now a junior in college! Recently we relocated from San Francisco where Sugar was an indoor / outdoor cat. But upon relocating she became indoor only (condo rules, sorry). I thought at this time in her life it would be good for her, but she's missed her outside time terribly, however life does goes on. Sadly she got fat (diet wasn't changed...my bad) and contracted diabetes (now isn't Sugar just the perfect name for a diabetic cat!). Everyone here familiar with the ups and downs of having diabetes knows that it's a rollercoaster ride at best and not fun for anyone in the family. It's been 9+ months now and there is NO WAY that we could have managed any of this on our own. Without the amazing (and I mean AMAZING!) help of Dr. Marshall, the family would have been lost. I speak to her on the phone sometimes twice a week at which time I give her Sugar's updated BG (Blood Glucose) levels, stool condition and overall general behavior and health report. Dr. Marshall takes it all in and I can tell she genuinely cares about our entire family and how we're doing in light of this horrible disease. We had a great doctor (Especially Cats - Dr. Ari Rozycki) in the City, but I have never felt more at ease and confident with Sugar's medical treatment than I do right now. There's a possibility that Sugar also has cancer, but I feel just a little bit better about it knowing that Dr. Marshall will ease us through this process with dignity and respect. I understand that Sugar is in her twilight years, but under Dr. Marshall's care and that of the ENTIRE staff of Feline Medical Center, I know that those years will be well cared for ones. I love this place! I've been coming here for a while now for the cat-boutique they have each November, and when I moved back to Dublin with my two cats in tow, I decided I'd like to try the "feline only" vet place nearby. Dr. Connolly is awesome, made me feel right at home and is very knowledgeable/approachable. She treats my cats like they are her own. The office staff is always pleasant, they remember my name when I come in (yeah, well, I'm there a lot buying cat food and such...) and the house kitty always purrs when I wake her up from her nap for a chin scritch. The office is open, inviting, and CLEAN (re: doesn't SMELL like flea dip like other vets' offices). Highly recommended if you are in the area. **If you are looking for two sweet kitties to adopt, they have a brother/sister combo looking for a home, both are 3 months old, marmalade/white tabbies, and absolutely adorable!! This is a terrific veterinary practice. We just moved away and I am so sad, because they treated my cat fabulously over the past three years. This is a cat-only establishment, so no worries about waiting room trauma. Everyone brings their cats in carriers, which is great. They have a great little independent shop in the waiting area with cat toys and cheesy cat-themed decorations, and they sell the most comfortable collars for cats--beastie bands, which are kind of hard to find. The exam rooms are super clean and they are so kind and gentle with the cats. They are very thorough, and the docs will call you back to check up on a cat and see how they medication is working, etc. The staff also always remembered me by name when I walked in to buy cat food and they automatically remembered my cat's name too and asked after her. They are completely focused on the health and well-being of your cat. Friendly, accessible and courteous at all times. This is truly small town service and while sometimes the visits are pricey, so are all the other vets. I just don't think you can find a better vet for your cat. They also offer boarding services and grooming, but I never had a chance to use those services. read more

I went to this place as this is a sister vet clinic that's affiliated with the Bishop Ranch Vet Center up in San Ramon. I took my cat here for a routine shot as well as a grooming. The staff was very courteous, but messed up a little by giving my carrier to another patron. However it was returned and I need to go pick it up. They did give me a loaner carrier so no harm, no foul. The clinic is in the back of the plaza that they're located, so search towards the east end of the plaza. One thing I did find not so great was the price of their groomer. The groomer is not an employee of the clinic, but I believe an outside contractor. To put it in comparison, when I lived in So Cal my vet charged me $65 for a cleaning, brushing, nail trimming, cutting the fur between all paws, and shaving kitty's bung hole hairs. The price for their contractor was $59 for the cleaning, $28 for paw hairs, and an additional $28 for the bung hairs. I opted only for the cleaning and brushing. I will get my cat groomed elsewhere. Anyways, I'm moving from the area so I'll need to find another vet. But I had a great experience here, so I would recommend these folks. read more

Our cats are 8 & 10 years old and had never been boarded. I was very nervous about boarding them. The Feline Veterinary Center did a fabulous job!! Our boys were able to stay together which I think helped. We were also allowed to bring their beds and toys to help them feel comfortable. When we picked them up they did not seem freaked out and adjusted to home right away. The staff was helpful and kind. We were told when we dropped them off how much the boarding would cost and were given the option to have their nails trimmed. There were no bad surprises, just happy kitties. We will definitely board our cats there again when we go out of town. read more

I have a 9 yr old dilute calico and she is a "sensitive" cat. I took her in for a counseling session to make sure I was doing all I could to give her a happy life after losing her roommate two months ago. We also talked about how to ease her stress as I am fostering kittens for adoption. Dr Ellis spent awhile with us going over her past behaviors and current behaviors. I stopped coming here last spring/summer. It was long overdue. Dr. Godfrey would spend maybe 5 minutes, rarely 10, with me then a vet tech would come back in the room to show me the bill to ok. While Dr. Godfrey was very nice and knew her stuff, I always felt rushed and decided to switch to another vet. Highly recommend Town and Country in Pleasanton. All of the vets are great and I never feel rushed. Each vet takes the time to answer my questions and always come back in the room to go over the instructions and medications. Never a vet tech. The difference between the two practices is night and day. Would never come back. read more

I have since come to learn that all vets in this area are expensive, so I can hardly ding them a star when their service is so great. Our Sammy lived to be 20 years old by the way and she was the most low maintenance cat we have ever had. We sure do miss her. This review reflects only Priscilla, who does pet grooming on the premises of Feline Medical Center, not FMC or their staff. I am posting because I saw another posting by Jeff (in Pleasanton) commenting on her lack of professional behavior, and I have decided it is time to speak up and add to his review. 2 years ago, near the end of my kitty's life, I brought him into FMC for some blood work and fluids. Since they had a groomer onsite, I thought it might be nice to get rid of some of the really large fur mats that had accumulated along his back and haunches, since in his old age and renal illness, he hadn't been grooming as much. Priscilla was free at the moment, and so one of the vet techs took my cat into the back room. Oddly enough she never came out to meet me. I didn't hear anything, but the vet himself actually brought my cat back. He told me that he had to stop Priscilla. When I took a closer look, my poor poor, 16 year old kitty was trembling and visibly in discomfort, so still, eyes almost closed, barely moving, except for the shaking. I looked at him and where she had tried to shave off the mats, there were 3 bloody wounds along his lower spine! Even now, 2 years later, it makes my heart break to think I put him through that when he was fine and holding it together before seeing Priscilla. Once I got him home and tried to make him comfortable, we realized to our dismay that he had a pronounced limp on one side. We ended up realizing that she did not take the cat's healthy or well being into mind. She just went about her business, even though he was probably protesting loudly. I believe in order to hold him still, so she could continue to remove fur and SKIN, she practically crushed him down. Thus injuring him and causing the limp. It still makes me so furious to think she could do that in good conscience and still charge me. After seeing the open wounds on his back, I asked the clinic for my money back, that I didn't want him groomed if he was getting skin razored off. They asked her, by the way she never came out to talk to me, she communicated with me only through the clinic staff, and she told them that she would not discount or refund my fee because she had "already done the work and only stopped because she had been asked to stop." In my mind, she is highly unprofessional and cares only about being paid, not about the animals, their well being and whether what she is doing is beneficial to them or not. To be fair, if you have a healthy dog, that just needs a trim, she is probably ok. But I will NEVER recommend her, and I will now make sure that I post this review of what she did to my poor elderly cat, wherever I can. My cat was frail but stable before going into Priscilla that day. After coming home with the limp, his condition quickly degraded and he died only 5 days later. NEVER use Priscilla if you care about your pet, and how they are treated. read more

My cat has been here 3 times before for minor "incidents." He usually gets groomed with a bath every 2 months by a mobile groomer but, that groomer is temporarily not working. So, since I've been mostly satisfied in the past with the care at FMC, I decided to take him to Priscilla there for a bath, de-matting, and a trim. As it is hard to fiind a cat groomer, I finally made an appointment here nearly 4 weeks ago. Our appointment was at 8am. I arrived at 7:50am, checked off what I wanted done, and the guy at the desk said, "It will probably be about 12 noon". I questioned why it would take so long, as the mobile groomer has always been done in 2-2.5 hours. The guys said he didn't know but, Priscilla was going to groom "Freddie" first and would call me when he was ready to be picked up. At 12:15 and no phone call, I drove over there - just a few blocks away. A different guy checked in the back with Priscilla and said Freddie will be ready in about an hour. I again asked how it could be taking so long and he said he didn't know. I went back home. At 2 o'clock and no phone call still, I drove back over there. It has now been 6 hours. I walked in and the girl at the desk says, "Okay, ready to check Freddie out?" I asked if he was finished because I hadn't received a phone call yet. She said he was ready. I paid the grooming fee and Priscilla brought him out to the front a few minutes later. I asked her why it took so long and she said she had other cats with issues that she had to do first. She said that's why I "bring him in between 8 and 12." No, I was never told that. If the place opens at 8, and they tell me to bring him in at 8, I don't expect my cat to sit and wait for half the day. That means my cat was sitting in his carrier for 3-4 hours, in which he can barely turn around. He also hadn't eaten yet today. He is usually very talkative but, is so quiet now at home, likely scared to death of when he's going to have to go back there - which is never. The reason I gave 2 stars is because his matting is all clear and she did a nice job on the rest of him. But, unless your cat is used to sitting in a carrier for multiple hours, do not bring it here for grooming. By the way, Feline Medical Center was purchased last year (I believe) by a pet hospital in San Ramon. As you can see by the star rating for 2016, it has decreased from its previous 5-star rating for every month so far this year. Not a good trend. I also noticed none of the same staff are at the front desk. read more

Feline Veterinary Center recently merged with my current vet's office and I couldn't be happier about it. I brought my 2 cats in for their yearly check-ups for the first time this week and the whole experience was fantastic. From the front desk, to the assistant, to the doctor...all a great experience. This was my first time meeting with Dr. Sharon Paz and I do not have enough nice things to say about her! One of my cats is simple while the other is my "problem child". Dr. Paz took her time with each one and was extremely patient and answered all my questions. She explained everything to me as we went along and my 2 girls loved her! She was very gentle in touch and tone and made us all at ease because going to the vet's office isn't fun for me or them. Thank you Dr. Paz and staff for your amazing care! read more

I'm just going off of our first encounter, but I'm pretty certain we will see this practice permanently. The man who took us to our room, the doctor, and the woman who checked us out were beyond wonderful... I scheduled a follow up appointment for the day after we moved to California to carry on a treatment plan that was started in Belgium. My poor domestic long haired cat has seen better days. He recently became severely matted. We were having him treated in Belgium only days before our schwduled departure with our regular vet and groomer, but it has not been a quick or easy ordeal. We had a suspected case of ringworm, which after doing a culture turned out to just be a bacterial infection from the fur trouble. Luckily, our new vet at the Feline Medical Center was very thorough with his exam and explained the treatment my previous vet prescribed (and why I was to continue until the results of the culture had been completed). After the culture confirmed there was no ringworm, he gave me the clear to quit treatment. I was not left hanging or assuming anything about my cat's testing, treatment, or results which was wonderful. We'll be back with our (currently furless) furball! read more

This place is cats only, which makes a huge difference! It is so calm and quiet so it was perfect for my skittish cat. I brought my cat here for grooming. My cat is very difficult to handle. She does not like being touched too much and it makes it hard to brush her. She has long hair and gets knots very easily. I had her groomed once before at another place and it was a horrible experience. She needed to be sedated and they gave her too much anesthesia. She did not eat or drink for a couple of days. I have a feeling they were very rough with her as well. She was traumatized from that place. Bringing her to Feline Medical Center was the best decision! They are so great! The vet was very patient and was able to do an exam without any fuss from my cat. She also gave us many good tips. The groomer, Priscilla, really is a cat whisperer. She was able to shave most of her without anesthesia. She called me and let me know that she would need to use anesthesia for the rest of the grooming and I told her that was okay. When I picked her up, she was a little dazed, but it didn't last long. She was back to her normal self by the next day. She also feels much better not having all the knots in her hair. I love this place and I will definitely be bringing my cat here for her next grooming appointment. read more

We have brought our two cats to Dr. Marshall at the Feline Medical Center ever since moving to Pleasanton 2 years ago. In a nutshell, she and the staff are friendly, compassionate, thorough and patient. The feline-only facility helps to reduce how stressed my cats look when they are taken into the back for shots or procedures. It's a casual observation but does seem so when they come back out and after I bring them home. Dr. Marshall does a great job of explaining the purpose and urgency of the various tests she recommends, and she is sensitive to people's needs to balance what they can afford with how much they are willing to risk in the diagnosis. She doesn't just barrel ahead like some doctors and vets who assume the recommended treatment must be performed at any cost. Lastly, she is both firm and kind when it comes to reminding us that it may be time to let our cat go. Pet owners know the hardest price is the inevitable loss and the hardest decision is to cut short even a handful of remaining days. Dr. Marshall offers home visits should you need euthanasia for your cat so that your cat and his or her family can be as comfortable as possible for the difficult task. She is really what we would imagine a family doctor to be, caring for every part of our cats' health. Thanks to her watchful care and numerous phone calls and check-ins, our cat, who was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma exactly 1 year ago, survived heart failure and being carefully nursed back to health from near-death twice, a task we would never have been able to perform without the Feline Medical Center's (and Sage Emergency Hospital's) support. Giving up to 7 different medications twice daily, giving IVs, syringe (force) feeding, watching him deteriorate to 70% of his old weight, and betting it all on one final last-ditch drug to turn him around (which worked), and being hours away from deciding to call to schedule euthanasia were all trials she and her staff helped us survive. Today he is comfortable, content, weighty, and snuggly, and knowing that he may turn around and be gone in a few short weeks, but having him with us for the past year is the best gift of appreciation Dr. Marshall and the FMC's work could have granted us. read more

Vets are aplenty in the area where I live. There are 2 within a few blocks from my house. But rather than go the easy route, I elected to drive out of my way to Feline Medical Center, because of the great reviews and because they are a cat only facility. Besides, kitty is my baby and sooo worth the extra effort! Dr. Connally was wonderful. When I mentioned to her that I am a first-time cat owner, she took the time to explain almost everything you should know about owning a cat! She also provided me with a folder full of useful information and contact information for emergency services. Howerver, one drawback is that they appear to be more expensive than other places. Exam and consultation was $59.00 and vaccinations were $25.00 apiece. read more

Their services are somewhat expensive, but this is one of those places where the saying "you get what you pay for" is in full effect. My mother and I have trusted Drs. Marshall and Connally and their staff with our cats since 2005, and with how well they've looked after Ruby and Max, we see no reason to go elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend Feline Medical Center for your kitty's care. They are a cat-only office which makes things very peaceful for the kitties as opposed to a regular vet where the kitties can smell dogs, etc. JENNY was absolutely amazing. She could tell I felt sad after dropping off my kittens for surgery so sent me two photos via email that evening from her personal email account. Jenny goes above and beyond the call of duty. My recent experience with Feline Medical Center was wonderful. The front desk staff were supportive and friendly. The Technician who came in first to weigh the cat was gentle and great handling the cat who was nervous. Dr. Marshall spent a good amount of time examining the cat and explaining everything. She discussed options to be cost effective for us. I will definately come back and reccommend this to anyone needing a great Vet for their cats. read more

This is a great place for cats! When I moved to Pleasanton, my in-law's had been living here for a long time so their vet became our vet, despite my own personal reaction to her. We began the process of getting our cat ready to move to Hawaii with her, but when she was unable to provide us with a microchip, I was eager to find someplace better. I found the Feline Medical Center staff to be friendly to and supportive of my cat, while being informative and reassuring to me. I only wish we could have found them earlier! read more

I have been going to FMC for the past year since I adopted a senior cat exactly one year ago. I was surprised to learn there was no charge for the first exam which my cat had with Dr. Utchen and I was very pleased by the care and attention. During the past year I've boarded my senior guy twice when I had to travel and felt both confident and assured both times and when I returned the last time I learned that one of the techs was so taken by my sweet guy that he had pix of him on his personal phone. Every time I've been there - for care or boarding - I've been met by friendly and courteous staff who make a point of welcoming me. Best of all, my absolute favorite vet (who treated my previous senior many times), Dr. Sharon Paz, is there now and I could not be happier. I was so pleased to learn that she had returned from an overseas assignment and was back for good in the Valley. Most of my friends have only dogs but I'd never hesitate to recommend FMC for any and all feline needs, including boarding. read more
