I first started taken my oldest dog (10 year old chiweenie) here after adopting him from Tri Valley Animal Rescue. He had a broken leg and Dr. Raj was the one handling his care set up through the rescue group. So, we stayed with him. And I'm glad we did. Dr. Raj is very good at listening to concerns or reasons as to why our dog is there. He is up front and clear with his diagnosis and treatment plan. The staff as well is very friendly and helpful. My 10 year old dog is unbelievably anxious and they handle him with care and patience. And humor, which helps ease my second hand embarrassment lol. I now have 3 dogs, all patients of ABC Clinic. There are a couple of new Doctors there, which make getting appointments in ASAP a lot easier. I haven't had much interaction with the new Drs but if Dr. Raj hired them, I know they must be highly qualified to work with my dogs. Personally, I am highly satisfied with ABC Pet Clinic. Made a couple stops at ABC in the last month got my dogs annual teeth cleaning. And they were so amazing ! Made the appointment over the phone and brought her in and dropped her off. The receptionist did a great job answering all my questions and the dr who cleaned my dogs teeth did a great job. They only had one extraction and it was in the back of her mouth. Had a great follow up check up with the dr and he was able to give me all the good information to make sure i keep my dogs teeth healthy and clean. I was also giving a tooth brush and mouth wash for her. I also brought my cats in a few weeks latter to see if they need teeth cleaning and the dr said there teeth are perfect and don't need any cleaning so that was awaken to hear. I really love this place and recommend it to anyone looking to have there pets teeth cleaned or have any other vet issues. read more

Dr, raj said during our visit with our dog (for fleas) to request a prescription via chewy and he will approve the prescription along with our cat who lives in the same house hold. They seen her previously and approved the same medication they're approving. They want us to bring her in for $75 visit just to tell us that she needs these flea meds and for us to request purchase on chewy. They're guaging patients, and going back on what the doctor had said he would approve during the visit with our dog. This place was recommended by a friend of doctor Raj. Horrible, horrible customer service at front desk. Needed a prescription for Nexgard through Chewy and they completely refused to provide it knowing my pet needed this prescription. They would only do so if I scheduled a completely unnecessary appointment with their office even though my dog was seen within the last year and perfectly healthy. Avoid!!! First off, I do want to say that this has little to do with the doctor here, as he is as good as any, but with the staff. Several times I had appointments for my dog and the staff changed my appointments- without telling me. I would then show up for my scheduled appointment, only to be told that I was a no show for the appointment. On top of this, the staff members at the counter were very rude and completely unprofessional on multiple occasions! When attempting to talk to them about changing my appointments without my knowledge, instead of taking responsibility, they try to turn everything onto the customer. When I brought this to the attention of the vet himself, he was actually pretty rude too. If you are looking for unprofessional, rude and incompetent scheduling staff this might be your place. read more

We were here more than 6 years and make multiple trips a year. The staff is never the same. Every time we go there are different young vet techs. We have never spoken to or seen the vet, I am not even sure there is one. They require you to book and appointment. Very seldom is the dog taken for medical attention at the appointed time. We have waited more than an hour over the years. We have never complained. Our last and final visit I was 11-12 minutes late for an appointment due to traffic. The receptionist said they would not take me if I was over 10 minutes late. She went to check with the Vet. 5 Minutes later she said it was OK, but never do it again or forget it. I flipped, 6 years of waiting for the techs, all the problems with COVID appointments and thousands of dollars spent, if I am late once more "forget it". I have never seen such customer service. The office manager then dragged me into a room for another 15 minute grilling, at the end she gave me a termination letter and I was told to never return. 09/7/2023 The continued blessings from ABC pet clinic and Dr. Raj are impossible to quantify. It always seems that we have to come in at the most inopportune times for some random ailment our pups have fallen into. ABC always goes out of their way to help us and get us in as quick as they can. Once we see the vet, there is never confusion about what is going on or a path forward. We have lived in Arizona, California and Washington DC and ABC is always the gold standard we hold other vets to when we have to bring our pups in from check ups to emergent care. read more

They explain everything clearly and objectively, and are mindful of cost, emotion, and primarily pet health and happiness. No pressure to pursue one treatment over the other. Dr. Raj takes his time to answer questions and treats us with respect, even when we know our questions might seem dumb. Most recently, our dog suffered a torn ACL. Dr. Raj talked us through the various treatment options, from surgery to rehabilitation to doing nothing. He offered his thoughts but left it to us to decide, which we appreciate. It seems there's a pattern in the yelp reviews on this page. Each one with a response from the office manager making the excuse and saying "seek another veteranian". I clearly am not the only one, and definitely not the last client who has been wronged, lied to, and disrespected. It baffles me that even in a situation where I am going through a loss and I WAS WRONGED, the business owners response is a twisted lie. "Disrespect and misconduct towards your team members?" "The doctor came to explain things to you but you were not there" Wow... this is really sad. We both know you left me and my family with our pet in a clinic room for over 30 mins with no doctor to come in, just for us to eventually get fed up and leave to see him try to sneak out the side employee entrance in the parking lot. Just for him to see us and scurry back inside. It's shameful. I didn't know this vet clinic was not only filled with people who don't care for their clients or animals, but also with people who fabricate and create false realities of situations. This is beyond cruel and hurtful. I'm 23 and the abc manager and staff are all so much older than me and absolutely bullied me. EVEN ON YELP!!!! And for the record... Yes we did get upset, all because you moved our end of life appointment UP FIVE HOURS and then when we arrived turned us away. ABC knew where we lived and how long it would take us to get there and had 0 regard that we dropped everything the second they called to take our pet over. We didn't even get upset that you cut our time with our pet, we got upset with the fact that we moved mountains and sped to get there to be talked down on and disrespected. We were 5 mins late to an appointment that was supposed to be 5 hours later at the clinics ask. And you did not "request us to find a successor vet" you screamed at me and my mom and younger brother that "we were not welcomed at abc pet clinic", after the fact that me and my family said we would no longer want any ties/associations of any of our pets or our friends pets with your clinic. You don't speak to people like that. But yeah thanks for letting me know "we are not welcomed at abc pet clinic anymore". We did not want to be there anyways. We have found a better clinic for our dog and we are thrilled. Wish we made this decision sooner before we had to deal with our veterinarian making our pet loss 10x harder. All they think is to charge you for unnecessary tests and you will end up being charged an arm and a leg without any positive results to your pet. My cat is now worse than before they saw her. They asked me several unnecessary tests, and all came negative. They gave her some medication and she is worse now. When we called them to discuss the situation they just simply said we need to charge you again and there is no guarantee. Do not trust these guys if you can about your pet's health. If I could rate zero stars I would. Our Max was seen late September for tummy issues (throwing up after he eats, not hungry, losing weight) stayed all day at the clinic for blood tests and xray, technician not available for ultrasound then sent home with a "We don't see anything wrong." And 7 days of meds for his upset tummy...He died Thursday due to splenic hemangiosarcoma with metastasis to the liver. How does an expert miss that? He didn't eat again for 24 hours so I took him to the VEG where they immediately did an ultrasound and found out what was wrong. How is it that the ABC facility is not equipped to do ultrasounds. Shouldn't every Vet need to know how to perform one? My poor pup suffered for weeks because of their lack of care and concern. I'm so upset and furious. read more

Dr Raj is very thorough and takes the time to do a complete exam. We are grateful for him and staff who took great care of our dog Ruby who had surgery to remove a Mast Cell tumor. Dr Raj was able to remove all the tumor which was under her tail in a very difficult area. The clinics pricing for vaccines, dental cleaning etc are very reasonable compared to others and they provide excellent care. I went to the place 12 years ago and recently my dog is having some health issues so I decided to bring him in from the experience I had previously. This time, my dog received the detail cares and the options were upfront to explain how this works and what to expect. The service was very good and people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. Even I went back for multiple visits, I received the warm welcome each time. I recent had the sad occasion to put my dog down. He was a 16 yrs friend. A beautiful blue tick beagle who never growled or barked at anyone. I also had the fortune of going to ABC clinic. They were very accommodating and understanding. They scheduled the procedure the same day even though I had put off the difficult decision just a few days earlier. Our beloved Beagle who was also a regular patient there was treated with respect and great care. All services were very reasonable. The doctor took his time to explain everything. I have been taking my dogs to this place for years. Usually only go there once a year for a check up. But the dr raj runs his practice so poorly. Since we can't go inside for the visit due to covid (understandable) He takes the dog inside and comes back out to inform us, hes "running tests now and you'll receive the results in a few days" He did not ask us permission for the test. He did not tell us what type of tests. He just hurried away. He didn't give us a receipt for confirmation. I asked him what type of tests and he said check up test. So in my head, I thought okay a physical. Later on, I receive a $400 bill for the test. And I called the clinic to ask why the charge was so high and I told them what had happened during the visit. I spoke with raj. He said "I should have came in the office to find out what was happening and what the costs were." He said he's "unaware of how much the prices are for treatment" On the phone call with him, trying to explain to him that I didn't approve a $400 test. All he did was talk over me and try to tell me he "always" preforms this test on my "cat" I have never owned a cat. I have never bought a cat in for a check up. I asked him, do you have me confused with another patient? Is this what could have happened ? He just denied it all and told me that he "will put this in his notes and tell me all future costs" I think he should have been telling all his patients the costs and what is truly going on. I brought my Yorkie in for an expired immunization for grooming. It was December 3rd. Showed no interest in knowing or meeting my beloved Yorkie. I live in Incline Village, lake Tahoe half of the year and needed him groomed before I left next week. When I walked into ABC pet clinic the Owner looked at me and then walked behind closed doors. Never said hello or welcomed my beloved pet and showed no interest. I knew at that moment No warmth in this office. Will never go back and will find a wonderful caring vet in Danville.
