This is an absolutely stunning cafe on Park Avenue, about a 15-minute walk from Penn Station down 31st Street. Prices are very reasonable for NYC, with a cortado running less than $5. They do have some fancier drink options, as well as a few toasts and bagels. I got the Avocado Toast and added salmon, and it was less than $20. Super fresh and high-quality ingredients. Shockingly I was able to snag a table in the back for me and a friend. Maybe because it was a Monday, it wasn't too busy. This coffee shop is stunning and totally unexpected on Park Ave! It's very Victorian-inspired with vintage furniture and art frames throughout. I got the Iced Latte w Caramelized Vanilla, I think the caramelized vanilla would have been better appreciated in a hot latte rather than iced, so that's on me. It was still well-balanced, strong, and had a brûléed flavor from the caramelized vanilla. The Cappuccino was also made well; warm, creamy, and bold. Honestly, this might be my favorite cup of coffee in the area. Every time I go, it's consistently excellent--smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality beans. How have I missed this place for so long?!? I walked in and was immediately wowed by how gorgeous this cafe was. It transports you right to Europe. Beautiful arches, paintings, cushioned couches, large open space- this does not feel like NY. Top it off with delicious smooth coffee and we have a winner! This is coffee uniqueness. Beautiful place, the green and gold is gorgeous and the decor clearly sets it apart from any coffee shop I visited. I ordered and Americano, which was eh. Walked into Felix Roasting Co. thinking I'd just grab a cold brew... walked out in a full-blown relationship with a chocolate croissant. That thing was buttery, flaky, and had more layers than my last situationship. Also grabbed the avocado toast, which had so many toppings I swear it needed its own LinkedIn profile: sourdough, avocado, radish, pickled onion, chili, cilantro, mustard seed, Italian lemon olive oil, and Maldon salt. Very nice interior. Mood music was perfect volume, not overly loud. I guess the ideal place to meet people and chat. Was just there to spend an hour with the kid waiting for wife, so I didn't drink the filter coffee I had gotten, since already had coffee earlier. Just needed wifi for the kid to play on his tablet, lol. Wifi requires the code from the receipt and it was good for 1 hour only. The beauty of living in NYC is you can just be out and about and hit up your gfs. Next thing you know you are having coffee and just walking around the best city in the world on a Sunday. It was one of those days. I left boxing and was walking home, but didn't quite want to go home yet. I hit up our group chat and met up with one of my gfs here. According to my gf, this place is an it spot or whatever, but it seemed like it didn't have much on the menu and the matcha was just a matcha. However, I will say that they make their own nut milk and it is a blend of various nuts which did make the matcha taste a bit unique. In this part of town, you can be hard pressed to find a cafe as spacious and aesthetically pleasing as Felix Roasting Co. I felt like I stepped into a different world, far away and free from the drudgery of Midtown. However their coffee left a lot to be desired. Both times I've ordered a latte here, it fell on the sour side, no better than my free office coffee. Felix Roasting does have a variety of tea options, but I wish they had more interesting coffee options too, besides the elaborate smores latte. I enjoyed their almond croissant before, but I wish they could've warmed it; they said they didn't have a microwave, so I waited till I returned to my office to warm and eat the pastry. read more

Last time, I am trying something that is overhyped on TikTok. The taker is absolutely gorgeous and no one can deny that I could just stay there and sit and look at the decor all day but honestly that's all they do it. The coffee is average. The pastry menu is limited to one or two items and same for the sandwich menu to drop it off. The Wi-Fi set up is incredibly complicated with only one hour of free Wi-Fi and the service folks at the counter are not exactly super friendly. plenty of coffee shops in New York to try if you actually want food and coffee in a nice ambience. read more

This is a cute place right on Park Ave. The inside is gorgeous with a very Persian decor and almost modeled like Grand Central with the servicing in the center and different themed sitting areas in the front and the rear. The art is also very Persian with some portraits in the rear room and beautifully decorated wallpaper all over. I tried lox with bagels while sipping on tea. Stopped by here after being recommended by one of my local friends. I think one of the best things about this spot is the ambiance. It has a nice sort of fancy European lounge vibe with nice subtle music in the background. It seems like a great place to sit down and read a book or do some work. The baristas were very nice and I appreciated that they made the matcha with a whisk and separate specific bowl before then transferring into the matcha latte. I don't need fancy frills or an instagram worthy experience for a solid cup of coffee. I don't mind spending money on said coffee when it's made very well and worth the price. When your mocha costs $9.25 which includes an up charge for their homemade milk and before tip, it better be damn good. I was meaning to go to a different coffee place and stumbled upon Felix roasting. I went on a Tuesday morning so unsure how busy it gets at prime hours and weekends but there was no line and I was able to order right away! The cashier recommended a bagel that to this day I still think about (picture attached here) and they have a lovely outside seating patio that I got to sit at and enjoy my matcha and bagel. The inside is pretty big with 2 levels, some individuals were working and others catching up. Because I was seating outside there was noise but the coffee shop goes in deep that I don't see any issues with it if you go to the second level.
