I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I experienced today, June 10th at 4:01 PM, at this coffee shop. I walked in and was patiently waiting before placing my order. An employee had just served the customer ahead of me, but when I stepped forward, he refused to take my order, stating that he wasn't accepting any more--even though door was open, lights were on and music was playing. When he saw me he turned off lights turned off music and looked at me as if he wanted me to get the point. though I had been waiting and it was literally 4:01. What made it worse was hearing him say that he doesn't get paid extra to work past 4:00, so he simply didn't care. His attitude was unprofessional and dismissive. I understand closing procedures, but customer service should never stop abruptly--especially while still serving others just moments before. This experience left a sour taste, not because of the coffee (which I didn't get to try), but because of how unwelcome and disregarded I felt. I hope management addresses this behavior, because this is not how any business should treat paying customers.

Went to this coffee shop in Hudson yards by the water, it was nice and had a good amount of seating inside. They had interesting flavors, I got the maple oat milk latte and ngl it kind of just tastes like vanilla but it was still pretty good , they had a very fun haiku writing worksheet though

The espresso was rich and tasted great with vanilla in my latte. My only qualm is the espresso was poured on top of the milk as opposed the milk being poured over the espresso....changes the drink a bit, not my preference.

They had a few seats set up on the sidewalk, and it was easy to chat with the locals here about stuff while I relaxed. This place brought back all the memories of my year in nyc! I've never been to this location ( only the UES one) but was so excited to try it. The shop was small but the coffee was stellar. Ordered an oat latte and a few bags of coffee beans to take home. The oat latte was perfect. read more

This place has such a good vibe. It really adds a lot to the neighborhood. Quite a few of the employees have been working here for years, and that gives it character and a friendly atmosphere. Often interesting music is playing. And I like the coffee! I come in every few days and order a cortado (which Eric makes perfectly, with a heart), and I buy the beans for use at home. This is my favorite West Village coffee shop, with Panino Mucho Giusto running a close second. read more

Good coffee shop that is not trying to do "too much". It's nice and simple and the coffee is not acidic. The barista dude working alone is completely unorganized and I kinda loved it. That doesn't stop him from making good coffee and serving you well. It's just a messy counter which I thought was funny. read more

Aside from the tasty iced latte, the coffee bar branch has a unique, mild heavy metal theme and nostalgic objects d'art scattered around - think 1930s dry goods store in New England. read more

Great coffee, decent prices (hey no taxes which is great). Very cool decor inside. The only downside is it's very tiny so gets a little cramped when stopping by during busy hour. There was only 1 person working, so there was a little bit of a wait but not too long. Great experience. Would definitely come back if in the area. read more

I was in the area and needed a coffee to go. Solid coffee, decent prices, and really nice and friendly staff. I had a cold brew and it was a lot cheaper than I had expected it to be. It was solid coffee and really hit the spot. There's some seating outside in the front, but nothing really inside, so it's more of a grab and go place. They had a few pastries left over, but I was heading to lunch so I didn't opt to try any. read more

It's so cool in here. The coffee spot is filled with great vibes. The baristas were sweet and I love the quality of the coffee. the latte i got was really good, simple, and not too expensive in comparison to other nyc coffee shops. however, the people working there were not nice. no greetings, no "thank you", no "how are you" or anything. both baristas spoke with a whole lot of attitude. it could has just been a bad day for them but the vibes in there were just really off. good coffee tho ! read more

Here is a fact: the baristas at Oslo on West 10th are almost entirely arrogant and rude... it's almost a guarantee each and every time. This is my most convenient coffee shop, and Ive been in here 100 times or more... but literally, getting a barista in there to show a modicum of niceness is nearly an impossibility. No Smile. No "thank you for coming in" nor a "thank you for the tip" or any other shred of appreciation or humanity. Zero positive vibes. Sure, the baristas have their very small group of cool-enough regulars they are willing to gel with, but by and large, just terrible service for everybody that enters. If you want to feel like a total nuisance to a business, this might be the place for you! For anyone else... it's horrible. read more

Coffee was good, but there are other places that are on par or better. Taking off a star because of service because that matters to me, but they deserve the rest for the quality of coffee and ambiance - albeit small and cramped. But alas, we are in New York. For a grab and go coffee spot you have like 30 seconds to make a good impression & give good customer service. Just saying. In this world, quality of food/drinks matters but also customer service - at least to me. There are countless other places that nail it, but for Oslo maybe it's not a priority. There was only one person, who was both the barista and cashier. When I came in, he glared at me for a good minute and didn't say anything, no greeting or anything, until I ordered. It's whatever and not a big deal, but it felt unwelcoming & awkward to me and left a meh first impression of the place. Maybe he had a bad day. I just left immediately after getting coffee since there wasn't space anyways. read more

Wow. This place absolutely deserves 5 and more stars! Their cappuccino was one of the best I have ever had. I am super particular about my cappuccino and I am sad whenever coffee places serve my cappuccino almost like lattes. (Not enough foam or too much milk) Oslo did it absolutely perfectly. We were walking to the club and just decided to stop in for a coffee for a caffeine boost. I was awed. The prices were the lowest I have seen in the entire city. In the West Village. Small but comfortable space. The Tumeric infusion Tea was great! Citrus, refreshing, probably healthy for you. I also had the Cortado. Well made, taste good. I had the Oat milk option with the Cortado at no extra charge. Nice stop for Coffee on the West Village. read more

Excellent coffee at Oslo. Some of the best in the city. Every single drink I've had here has been top notch. The barsitas are always great too. They work fast and are generally very friendly. The vibe here is chill and comfortable. I grabbed a bag of beans last time I was here and they were really fresh. Ground at home, they were great. You get a free drink with beans, BTW.
