I went to fill up my car with gas around 6:20 in the morning, and I was served by a young man who wasn't smiling at all and looked quite unfriendly. When he saw me stopped at the pump to fill the car's tank, he approached me very seriously and said that the gas station didn't have any gasoline. I always fill up there at the same time. I simply left, very sad, not because there was no gasoline, but because of the rude way he spoke to me, even though I had said good morning as a sign of respect and politeness. I've been using the service for 2 years now because of the convenient location. Here are a list of encounters over the years: 1. Headlight harnessing issue. They'll need to fix it. I provided two new light bulbs and asked them to put it in for symmetry. Answer was $20 installation for EACH bulb after they put in the harnessing. I know how to replace a bulb, it doesn't cost that much. I was annoyed and asked him to put one in, I'll put in the other. And person ended up putting in both for $20. Okay, maybe it was just the mechanic's idea. 2. Car Inspection, said obd wasn't reading, ended up charging me 100+ to "change harnessing" to pass inspection. My mechanic friend told me I got robbed. I'll give em benefit of the doubt. 3. Second car inspection, passed. Okay. 4. Most recently, car wasn't starting, same mechanic friend said it might be a fuel pump issue, but shop I towed it first couldn't diagnose. So I towed it to Fellsway because it was the last place car was worked on. They let it stay there for a day and second day I was informed that fuel pump needs replacement and quoted me, "$1200". "800" for pump and "300+" for 3hr labor. While on the phone, I just googled the pricing of the pump. It ranged from 100 to 600, median price was 300-400. And average labor was 2 hrs. I called him out and he said he "isn't making money from the parts". I told him I'll consult my friend and call him back. And he wants reply by the day because there are storage issues. Later that day I called for a tow to another shop and headed over. And be expected a payment for $95 for diagnosis because "they don't work for free". He showed me on a website on his laptop that the price of the assembly is the price he quoted me. And offered to waive the diagnosis, if I want to fix the pump there for $800, because it's hard times. Smooth talker and a likable person, sure. And I understand it's a business, but attached is the diagnosis receipt that I got, after I specifically requested for a diagnosis report. I don't know what is professional, but I guess an A4 with some handwriting and a logo do cost $95. I ended up spending much less to have the work done and car is backup n running. This is pretty much the last time I'll be coming here, and thanks to these guys, I found a mechanic who I know I can work with long term. And the takeaway is, even if you don't know about cars. Google the pricing for the parts and labor to have a simple idea on what the cost is. Value your money and time, and don't get lied to. The internet is very informing. read more

I stopped in for gas, asked to fill the tank and pay with cash. He started pumping and it looked like he was charging me the price for credit. I asked him to verify and he reiterated it was cash price. He lied. When he finished pumping I did the math, it was credit price. Not a trustworthy business. I came here on May 31 to get my car inspected after the guys at King were overrun with other people waiting to do the same and couldn't have been bothered to give me the time of day. I pulled up and told the attendant I was looking to get my car inspected. He told me it'd be no more than a 5 minute wait. It was less. They asked if I'd like to get my oil changed, noting it was past due by the sticker on my windshield (which it certainly was), so I said for $25, sure why not. They did the full inspection and oil change in 15 minutes. It was great. They were friendly, professional, and I didn't have to wait. I go to this gas station often while driving to work because close to the 93. There is one guy that i can say is honest whos selling the gas ! Always ready to help and polite . I can not see him anymore . Not sure , I think he was Egyptian or Algerian . Once I gave him $20 bill to pay for gas there was another $10 sticking under! he returned to me . I really respect people like him ! Now, About 4 months ago I went there to changed the oil. On that day I had very bad experience with one of the managers in garage . He drives big truck with black tinted windows ! today I met him at the parking lot , recognized me and was ready to fight . All of the sudden He became like a wild animal ! Eddy is flat out amazing. I bought a house in Medford almost two years ago and was referred to Fellsway Gas and Service by a neighbor. Unfortunately the house took a lot of the money so I stayed in my 2006 Honda Accord (that I wanted at this point to at least be a brand new Nissan...with higher wishes for a BMW or an Infiniti :P)...and though it's cost me a bit to fix over the years :P Eddy has been consistent in super quick amazing service and the lowest prices he can. On any day that I have had issues with my car he's been available and taken it right in and given it back within 12 hrs or usually much less time. Great guy and great service! I have been going to this place for about a year now and I can't say enough good things about Eddy, the owner. It has been a dream (yes, this is what I dream about) of mine to find a trustworthy mechanic and Eddy is that guy. My wife has an 18 year old car that we're running into the ground....well, not if Eddy has anything to say about it. He never tries to upsell me or screw me on prices. Every time we've gone there for something he has come below the estimate and finishes in beyond reasonable times. He goes out of his way to find the best priced parts and charges reasonable labor rates. I can't say enough great things about this place and the owner. I stopped by to have my car inspected - the inspection was prompt and fairly-priced, but afterwards the mechanic suggested that the brake rotors were rusting and in need of replacement. I had my doubts since the car had just been looked over by the dealership, but the mechanic was insistent, even offering a discount if I did it on the spot. I declined, took it back to the dealership to have it checked for peace of mind, and was told that there was no rust present. The rotors and pads will need replacing, but not until the next oil change. Needless to say, I didn't appreciate being pressured to do unnecessary maintenance, and will not be returning to this business. read more

Called on a Saturday at 3:55PM about their inspection hours. They told me they stopped doing inspections at 4, but they could wait a few extra minutes for me. Eddie and his crew do very good repair work, do car inspections and are honest and fair. I have been bringing cars to him for five years and I am very confident that whatever is being repaired will be done with in reasonable amount of time and the repair will be done right. I was a little skeptical getting service at a place with no reviews, but I was due for an oil change, tire rotation, and inspection sticker. Service was rapid, I watched them replace the oil and oil filter, rotate tires, visually inspect, and throw a sticker on it. Took about 15 mins and $54 ($29 for the sticker, $25 for the oil/rotation), which I guess is reasonable. One complaint is they didn't give a detailed breakdown on the recipt like a franchise place detailing cost/type of oil, the filter, fluid top off, etc; which I like for peace of mind. Also, they advertise the cash price for gas, and charge $0.10/gal extra for card, and is only full service, I personally have not bought gas there, just FYI. read more

They told me that they were going to have to charge me extra to change my headlight, because inorder to change it they were going to have to put my car on a lift. They had previously told me if I brought in my own headlight they would do it for free, as I needed it to pass inspection and they said they didn't have the light my car needed. I told them that it made absolutely no sense that they'd need to put my car on a lift, just to change a headlight. They told me I'd be surprised how many cars required a lift for simply changing the headlight and when I said my ex boyfriend used to change them for me in our driveway, he suggested that maybe I was confused. I proceeded to YouTube and change the headlight myself, in less than 5 minutes. These guys either have no idea what they're talking about, or they assumed that because I'm a woman I'd be easy to scam. I hate leaving bad reviews, and other than this they were nice, but this experience definitely felt sketchy and frustrating. Would not recommend going to them. read more
