Like the convenient location and friendly personal service. Got some shock cord to help hold bikes on their bike rack. Management helped select what would work and provided several samples to try out before purchase. Sorry to say big box hardware stores are generally not so accommodating. Thankfully, the new cord works well and bikes stayed put during drive home to Orange County. read more

For such a small store, they literally have everything I could ever want! It hasn't let me down yet and I doubt it ever will! Love that it's locally owned and right in the heart of Felton. Doesn't hurt that I can walk to it from my house. So forget shoppping the big boys, stay in your own backyard and support your local business owner! Did I mention they are cheap too!! Don and his family are incredibly friendly and can always help you find that one-in-a-million part for your 'left-handed bacon stretcher'. Can't find what you are looking for? Just ask..... Felton Paint carries top of the line painting products and supplies from wood stain to eggshell latex. Don doesn't mind answering questions and always has good advice. I found this store, because my local store in ben lomond; one staff ran me off. He had four classic get you fired behaviors, one are you done already he said, two he was actually tapping his foot in impatience, three he was rolling his eyes. I left with tears in my eyes. Later on he was fired, and to boot he was on Megan's list. But I digress. I found this pops and mom's store because of that shabby low level customer service. The owner at Felton True Value Paint and Hardware always super friendly and helpful. I try to get all my products here as I do not want him to go out of business. Too many nice small stores are going belly up. Don is a all around knowledgable person who has never made me feel like a fool, being I inherited my mom's house and know nothing about maintaining a house; but he never has mocked and is always ready to solve your problem. I got some nifty metal big sized trash cans; do not like the plastic ones.My dad was a super sales person serving whole countries; Don is a old timer who goes the extra mile. And I always get a kick talking to him about politics. Extremely responsive and sweet human. Very simpatico with charm. read more

The guy who works here is really nice and doesn't make you feel stupid for not understanding tools. I've noticed he seems to know all the customers who walk in by name, so it seems there are lots of repeat customers. Whatever you need, Don seems to have it, despite the small size of the store. Prices are always great. They're tremendously helpful. It's a shame that great neighborhood hardware stores like this are so rare! We're pretty lucky to have them in Felton. read more

Store is well stocked, especially for a relatively small store, and Don, the owner, is such a pleasant man. I always enjoy when I shop here. I love Felton's local small businesses, because it feels like you are visiting your friendly neighbor! As a local handyman I need alot of different stuff. I always check here first its amazing how much Don keeps on his shelves, and he can mix any color paint i might need to match a wall im working on.
