I recently discovered this relatively new café near 99 Ranch Market. I ordered the rose Earl Grey milk tea with hand-crafted brown sugar boba, popcorn chicken, and salt-and-pepper fried tofu. Overall, everything was good, and I liked the popcorn chicken the most. It was flavorful and tasted very Taiwanese. The fried tofu was on the softer, slightly mushy side, though--I personally prefer it to be crispier. The rose Earl Grey milk tea was decent, but the rose flavor was quite faint compared to other places where it's much stronger. As for the "hand-crafted" brown sugar boba, it tasted similar to regular boba, and I couldn't really tell a difference. The best thing about this place is the beautifully decorated interior, which gives the café a really nice atmosphere. Overall, this place feels like a 4.5-star spot to me--almost 5 stars, but not quite there yet. read more

I saw this was a new tea shop and I had to stop in and check it out. First of all, there is a kiosk and I love that I could put in my order! I got a taro milk tea with soy milk with 25% sugar and 50% ice. It was perfect! What was most fun was that we got to play the arcade game there. You can play two player. Pretty solid new boba addition to the 99 Ranch complex. Was able to try the Ramly burger, fries, creme brulee toast and a drink. The Ramly burger has fried chicken and was pretty flavorful with the chili sauce. I enjoyed this one a lot though especially with the thin egg around it. The fries that came with it were just okay and they give you seasoning to add but it was already really salty. The creme brulee toast was pretty good. Had a smooth and sweet taste though some bites were more on the buttery side. The white grape oolong milk tea seemed to be popular so I tried that. I thought it was decent and a little lacking in tea and white grape flavor. Plus there seemed like a lot of ice cubes and not a lot of actual drink. I didn't think it was worth it for that. My favorite was the winter melon tea with grass jelly and pudding. Additionally, the fries, although simple in appearance, were enhanced by the seasoning. I eagerly anticipate the availability of their other appetizers. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Tracy, who is exceptionally nice and friendly. She remembered me on my second visit. Over the course of two weeks, I have visited the establishment six times, and it has become my preferred spot to relax and unwind. I intend to introduce more people to her establishment. Lots of people were in line to try this popping spot. Since it's a little chilly, I originally got the hot honey lemon tea but the staff member said they had a hot honey grapefruit tea that I didn't see on the menu and switched my order to that instead. it was delicious! I added boba and kept the sugar level the same - next time i'll probably ask for less sugar haha there's plenty of seating and wifi worked well. Do note this review was for grand opening. The line and wait was very long. The staff did make efforts to help with the wait like offering some complimentary warm drinks and continuously checking in on people in the line. The food and drink we ordered was pretty good. Though it's a bit tough to tell if it was good because of the discount or if it was good because it was good. We'll definitely come back for more so either way time will tell. They had an arcade machine there which is pretty legit and a differentiator in the pretty saturated boba-tea-cafe market. Only other time I noticed this was in Tokyo town in LA so that's saying a lot. It does seem the machine's been abused a bit because controls aren't totally working well especially on Player 2 side's joystick. For the large size, the shaved snow starts at $7.95 which seems pretty cheap but it doesn't come with any toppings at all. Every topping is an additional 50 cents to $1, even condensed milk will cost you an extra 50 cents. The "large" size is actually super tiny. I was surprised when I got my order, how small the bowl was. Never got shareable for a group. Maybe a one-person size. I can't imagine how tiny their "small" size is. Perhaps their other food options are worth it, but not the shaved snow. read more
