She has admitted there were some big learning and growth moments with what has transpired with our case, and as a result, has apologized. In addition, they admitted they didn't order the correct part and should have spent more time ensuring their initial mistake wasn't repeated. It's a rare occasion to have a company admit they repeated a mistake and are willing to work towards an agreeable resolution. Thankfully ABW has shown they are concerned with what happens to their customers, you just have to let them kindly know if they are heading down the wrong path. To sum it up, they are willing to work with you to make sure you're happy, just make sure you have an open communication line with them. _______________________ *ORIGINAL REVIEW* I'm not sure where to begin, but it's been an absolute nightmare. Our microwave broke in April, we are a week away from September, and the microwave is still not fixed despite them coming out 4 separate times. In short, ABW has been to our house 4 times; 3 times with the wrong part. Yes, they ordered the wrong microwave door 3 times. They came to our house 3 times with the wrong door. I really don't know what else to say or how best to describe what happened other than pure incompetence. I don't think I've ever had to deal with a situation like this before, since most companies would find a solution after their first mistake, but clearly they care only about your money and how much they can grab from you. After a lot of back-and-forth via email, it was discovered that they had been entering the wrong model number from the beginning, but we were told that it was Bosch who kept sending the wrong part. So they blamed Bosch and failed miserably at taking ownership of the mistake they made over, over and over again. In the photos below you'll see one of the final emails where they're "apologizing" and giving us a "discount". However, after researching the right parts number, the $374.49 "discount" from their original asking price of $627.59 is roughly the average and going price for said door. At face value, it's clear we're still being ripped off despite their egregious and continuous mistake of ordering the wrong part not only once, not twice, but three times. Could you imagine ordering the wrong part for a customer, telling them it's on back order, and making three service calls over the course of 5 months? I can't. I'd be fired. I'm truly at a loss for words. I'm sorry to say, but for your sanity please find another business to order parts, equipment or have any type of service done. Please learn from my horrible experience and find another business to buy and service your appliances.

We had already gotten a couple of quotes, but really liked Dan and told them we wanted to move forward. Erika was extremely evasive about a quote. It was getting irritating. After a couple of months I couldn't let her off the hook, I wanted to get this project underway. I had to have an estimate. Her response to me was well "what is your budget." I said "I want what I want. " Again a runaround. She told me how qualified Dan was and any plumbers/craftsman they used and that we need to compare apples to apples. Of course, I understand that. She finally gave me a quote that I thought was quite high. So, in the meantime, I had contacted the manufacturer of the tile to make sure we had a contractor that was qualified to install large format tile. Then, Erika texted me and gave us a 10% discount. "Would that work?" She asked. Mind you, she refused to give us a breakout of any of the costs. I asked about the cost of the shower glass because I knew it was a pass-through. She wouldn't give me that. She also would not give me any itemization. She kept saying whether it comes in lower or higher we absorb the cost/or gain. She said they are different and just give one price. They aren't like other contractors. That's fine, I've never come across that, but they run the risk of losing a client. I got a quote from an equally qualified contractor. Except for Century, he was the highest bidder, but was considerably less expensive. The job is finished and we have a beautiful bathroom - -zero entry (aka walk-in) shower and large format tiles. It's a shame that Erika's evasiveness was very offputting. She seems to handle the business side and Dan does the technical side. As noted above, we were eager to work with them. However, the difficulties with the pricing made it impossible to move forward with them.

I have an infant who crawls around this space, so we needed this repaired. Apparently the plumber came, unclogged the toilet, stated that the toilet needs to be flushed twice, and left. He told my mom that nothing needs to be done to the basement floors and that it wasn't sewage water that left a standing puddle in the basement... I attempted to call the plumber to verify this story because I thought that toilet water was classified as sewage. I thought maybe the pipes might be too thin or a new toilet was needed to prevent further leaks. I just want to keep my baby safe, and it doesn't seem correct to just mop up overflowing toilet water leaking through the ceiling and then eat crumbs off the floor... The plumber did not call me back, and the manager just stated that "according to the order there was never a leak in the ceiling". I'm just so frustrated with the lack of communication and lack of concern for the health and safety of their customers.

The cabinets I ordered are Kraftmaid and are themselves seemingly very good quality. However, more…read morethan one of the kitchen cabinets that were ordered by Tart for me have been too short, long, wide, etc. Bita (one of Tart's designers) brought to my house Abdou from Dahlia Design - which I was told by Bita is their preferred cabinet installer. Abdou and Bita took the initial measurements for my kitchen cabinets. We designed the cabinets and ordered them with these measurements. The total price for the kitchen cabinets was ~$21,130 (see invoice). Once the kitchen cabinets were ordered Bita referred me to Dahlia Design and told me I would deal directly with Abdou. The price Abdou quoted to install the kitchen cabinets, as well as three other bathroom vanities and a few small cabinets was $23,875 (see itemized quote) which was supposed to cover the cabinet install plus any other repair work. However, I already had contractors I hired for repair work. I did not use Dahlia Design because I did not need the extra repair work from them, instead I used another company who charged me $4,400 to install only the kitchen cabinets. During the kitchen cabinet installation, my installers almost immediately ran into issues with the size of some cabinets. The tall cabinet was too wide and too tall, the over the fridge cabinet was too wide, then both blind cabinets next to the sink were too short (width), and the seated cabinets were to long. The wood slabs that also came with the seated cabinets came too long and to wide, and Tart said it was the installer who would have to cut them down. The sizing of many cabinets was so wrong, that my installer (who told me before they did it) had to leave out filler pieces, cut my hardwood floor which wasn't supposed to be needed, double the size of the pony wall... all to make these cabinets work for my kitchen. However, the cabinet install still couldn't be completed. The pictures attached with this review are the final product for now, and some adjustments are needed to fix my kitchen. When I reached out to Tart about all of this, they basically denied any responsibility for how the cabinets turned out, followed by many excuses blaming me and my installers when my installers literally did their best to install these cabinets as is - including having to leave pieces out to get the cabinets to fit. After about a week of going back and forth with Beverly who is Tart's other designer, I finally got Tart to admit to some of their mistakes, but not enough to make a significant difference in how my kitchen turned out. I was also told that somewhere in the contract for the cabinets, in the fine print, the customer basically releases Tart of any responsibility for the measurements and that the burden is on the customer to make sure the measurements are correct. The customer being liable for the measurements was something that was never discussed between Bita and I. Had I known this, I would have insisted that I have my choice cabinet installer decided before the cabinets were even purchased, and that only my choice installer do the cabinet measurements. If you are seriously considering using Tart for cabinets, come with an installer already in hand, do not trust any measurements by Tart because they sneak verbiage into their work contract to basically absolve themselves of any liability for their mistakes so they can blame the customer... which to me screams scam so proceed with caution. When the cabinets are delivered and are not the right size, they do not automatically consider what was actually received by the customer (only after much back and forth), and instead only seriously consider what was recorded in their contract which they will use to escape having to correct any actual mistakes with the cabinets. In total I waisted ~$25,530 on these cabinets from Tart which includes the price to install them ($4,400), but not even the fee to deliver them which was ~ $200. I'll have to hire another company to come in and fix everything - possibly removing and replacing bad cabinets.

I got my low profile microwave, a stove with pan storage and a built in air fryer, my counter depth French door fridge, and a dishwasher so silent I thought it wasn't working. :-) It was nice to have personalized service, which meant I was able to call back and make a last minute change once I came back home and checked some measurements, and there was no trying to figure out who I spoke with after being placed on indefinite holds. Delivery was scheduled for the following weekend, and the installation and removal was completed efficiently and with consideration for my home (and cat who wanted to be in the mix). Would definitely recommend for anyone in the DMV area, it is worth the ride if you're in need of new appliances and are over the big box store approach.

I stopped n twice and was told they hadn't heard back. this was 2022 and I'm still waiting. I then get a call stating I didnt make final payment and if I didn't pay within a week I'd be turned over to collections. I paid before the job was done. I show up with proof and they try to say i didnt make an earlier payment. I proved all payments. I asked for Paul the owner to call me several times. still waiting.. Keep away especially if they try to put Junior on your job. April is a dream to work with but the other woman and her grandson are horrid.
