The highlight for us was the Chicken and wild rice soup! Absolutely delicious! We took a bowl home! The mixture and quality of sandwiches and sweets was really good, and everything we ate was delicious! No leftovers! The young lady that attended our table was super friendly and very kind to my daughter. I loved that both she, and the owner, acknowledged her and brought us over extra strawberries and chocolate! We came to celebrate my daughters birthday and we were so excited to find a place that was near to us to start being able to enjoy. However, that was sadly not the case. Our waitress rudely asked us to pay while we were still eating and then told us she had a reservation coming at 2:00-it was 12:20 and they close at 2:00, so I am also confused about that. I cannot say enough about this little small town gem! I found it on TikTok. I was planning a trip to Hoschton's to visit my family and I wanted to do something nice for my niece. They were super polite. They understood that I was traveling from California and even though they don't take reservations they made sure that there was a spot for us at the time that we had agreed upon coming in. Went to this little establishment today to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday, her mom and aunt attended to. I thought things were going well except for the bug in my granddaughter's drinking water until our main tier came out. We had been eating 5-10 minutes when waitress brought our checks. She proceeded to to take payment and then immediately afterwards said we are going to need this table as we have a reservation at 2:00, I looked at my watch and said it's 12:20 you have way over an hour plus there was only one other group in there and plenty of free tables. Good: This is a cute and quaint spot! It's perfect for a girls day out or a small celebration. The service is friendly and efficient and the prices are stellar. If this is your *first time* trying out high tea, I highly recommend. Why I rated 3 stars: I wasn't a huge fan of the actual "high tea" presentation and if you're used to upscale tea parlors, you may be disappointed. I loved the tea selections but the tea pots were served without anything to keep them hot, and they lost their heat pretty quickly. The food was plated beautifully but was missing the mark with quality in my opinion. the cucumber sandwiches were great but I wished it was made with fresh dill... the egg sandwich lacked a bit in flavor as did the roast beef sandwich. Surprisingly, the pimento cheese sandwich was my favorite!! (Which I usually am not a fan of). This is an adorable tea room in Hoschton that I've been wanting to try out for awhile now. My mom and I came here for their "high tea" and had a wonderful time chatting and enjoying our generous tea service! I love the decor- it's eclectic antique with mix 'n match chairs and tea sets, they even have dozens of fun dress up hats you can borrow. I'm obsessed with the lamp on our table- it was so whimsical and reminded me of Alice in Wonderland! Both me and my mother opted for their "high tea"- which comes with: - a pot of tea (I had a delicious English breakfast and she had lady grey, then we shared a pot of raspberry rose. Lovely!!) - a salad or soup (we got their strawberry feta salad which was fresh and yummy) - scones (which are not your typical savory English scone served with clotted cream and jam but more of a cinnamon cake with powdered sugar- super tasty but just so you have the appropriate expectations) - a generous tiered arrangement of sandwiches and desserts It's a really good deal at $15.95 a person! Speaking to that- the sandwiches were fantastic! I will absolutely come back here just for their Gouda pimento cheese and their egg salad! I'm still thinking about those. They also had a roast beef and a chicken salad- I'm vegetarian so I didn't try those but my mom said they were really good. The cucumber/cream cheese was also not a "classic tea sandwich" with the paper thin cucumber slices but an open face with thicker slices on rye. Desserts were a German chocolate cake, macarons, some sort of cookie and an amazing apple bread cake thing. Not a traditional set of tea sweets but very tasty. My two cents- I think they probably should change the name from "high tea" to "afternoon tea" since I feel high tea connotes a British style tea service which this isn't really. My teenage daughter & I wanted to visit a local tea house. I searched high and low for one and came upon Fergusson's. I'm not on Facebook (you can make reservations which are highly recommended as the space is cozy & perfect for catching up with a friend) so I emailed them (it's an alternative). They respond promptly! When you first walk in it's a quiet welcoming cheerful respite. The fine china and the pleasant soothing ambience. A few tables for two, four or a party of 8 (I think... maybe 10). Perfect for a bridal lunch or sophisticated bachelorette tea party. I'm not sure if they do a childrens tea party). My daughter and I ultimately chose the high tea option for us which includes tea of course, either soup or salad an assortment of finger sandwiches. Two small finger sandwiches of each choice which was perfect (chicken salad on croissant, gouda pimento cheese, fresh tarragon & chive egg salad, cucumber and dill- my daughters favorite). I enjoyed all of them. They bring out scones to start. On the Saturday we went they were serving a cranberry white chocolate scone. I'm not a white chocolate fan but love cranberries so I tried. They were freshly baked and very delicious. The soup and salad were delightful! I had the tomato bisque and she had the salad which was so good with a homemade ranch dressing. The sampling of desserts are made in house. Served upon the top tier were mini lemon poppyseed muffins, assorted brownies and a German chocolate cake. My favorite was the lemon poppyseed muffin. The numerous offerings of teas were lovely. The gracious hostess gives excellent recommendations based upon your tea preferences. My daughter had a raspberry rose tea she liked so much she asked for me to get for her. Unfortunately, that one isn't sold there at this time however they do have a small selection for purchase. We enjoyed a "High Tea" lunch at Fergussons December 12, 2020. What a delightful experience! There were 4 in our party, and it was our first time dining with them. Our Server Kaylin did a fantastic job explaining the menu and teas that were featured. She gave us just the right amount of attention while still distancing herself for Covid regulations. The quaint little restaurant was decorated beautifully, with comfortable dining chairs, chandeliers, and beautiful china. Of course it was extra special because of Christmas too! We almost felt like we were pre pandemic sitting at our table! So soothing and comforting, just like a cup of good tea! We ordered their High Tea so that we could experience a variety of their choices at once. We sampled the Paris tea, Ginger Peach and finished with the Cinnamon Spice. You must try the Paris tea, but all were enjoyed! The scones were delicious, the strawberry salad with feta was my absolute favorite, along with the pimento cheese toast, and cucumber and cream cheese on rye, but the egg salad sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich were very good also. What a wonderful time. I highly recommend Fergussons. I wouldn't say every single thing that I sampled was five star, but the atmosphere, the presentation, our server, the food and the company, was most definitely a five star combination! This is one of those great places you just stumble upon when you are out for a ride. I didn't realize I was a tea lover and I'm certainly not their target demographic but it was great. The service was fantastic. The patio setting was perfect and the food was excellent and plentiful. Called first to make sure I did not need a reservation, there is only a pre recorded message stating hours and need for reservations on Saturday and Sunday's or large parties. It was Wednesday at 11, so we decided to go. When we arrived there were plenty of tables open, however the server stated they had to many reservations to seat us. She stated they could seat us in an hour and took my number to call me when the table was ready. Fast forward a hour and half...no call and they close in less than an hour. We decided to go back and see what was going on... walked in and talked with the same server who said she was just about to call me...yeah right! She also had a bit of an attitude as if she was annoyed we came back. Anyway we stayed and had high tea. The tea was good...but no cream on the table and the tea got cold fast. The scones and salad they served where excellent, however the actual tiered sandwich and sweet tray was just okay. The owner should really invest some time into better sandwich recipes. The ambiance is good with china and decor. I would go back for the experience of high tea with friends but not the food, and certainly make a reservation. read more

Stop here yesterday with the daughter. I wasn't aware it was a full service restaurant. I thought we were going to a tea shop which sold baked goods. I'm so glad I went! It is located in a 106 year old building. Decorated with antique tables, chairs, tea services, linen and lace tablecloths. There are two menus. One for tea and one for the food choices. They provide a proper English high tea. They also have 3 salad choices, 4 sandwiches with sides. Strawberry feta salad is what we both ordered with a strawberry vinaigrette. Fresh greens and spinach with red onion, strawberries, walnuts was excellent. I had a club sandwich. My daughter had chicken salad on croissant. I lived the bread with seeds and nuts. Our meal was preceded with tea biscuits which were moist and flavorful and served with homemade apple butter. We also got a sampling of 3 soups. Chicken and wild rice, Cream of celery and I believe a Tomato basil. Michelle says all her soups are homemade by her. The Cream of celery was Thanksgiving in a bowl! The tomato basil was like the best marinara sauce I've ever eaten. And the chicken with wild rice is one of the best I've had. Accompanied by cheese wafers with cranberries and walnuts that are like a somewhat moist cracker. They are to die for!!!!! My daughter inhaled them! I'm not a tea drinker per se.
