Unprofessional, Deceitful, and Completely Incompetent Service Department I brought my vehicle in for a warranty repair with an appointment scheduled days in advance. Upon arrival, my vehicle sat for 45 minutes without a single staff member acknowledging my presence or checking me in. I had to physically flag someone down to get service. My assigned advisor, finally approached with zero explanation or apology. This initial failure set the tone for a grueling 3.5-week ordeal for a repair that ultimately required only one single day of actual labor. Keep in mind I was a service tech, advisor, AND manager in Tampa. I have handled hundreds of warranties in both fields, there's no excuse. Throughout this entire month-long process, communication was non-existent. I never received a single update; every piece of information had to be dragged out of the department by calling and texting repeatedly. When I did manage to get through, I was met with extreme attitude, defensive behavior, and was routinely cut off mid-sentence. The handling of the warranty and rental process was equally absurd. My advisor repeatedly delayed progress, claiming he was "on hold too long" with the warranty company and would try again the next day. Frustrated by the delay, I called the warranty company myself and was connected to a live agent immediately, exposing a complete lack of effort on his part. When it was confirmed that my coverage included a rental vehicle, my advisor refused to assist with the logistics, instead giving me a phone number and telling me to figure it out myself. The absolute breaking point occurred after the mechanical work was completed. My advisor claimed the vehicle could not be released because they were "waiting on the warranty payment to process." I called the warranty provider directly, who explicitly confirmed that the dealership had not even submitted the final closing documents required for payment. They were holding my vehicle hostage over a paperwork bottleneck caused entirely by their own staff's failure to upload an invoice. Compounding this error, I called the dealership after my advisor, went home without updating me. Another employee stated the vehicle was ready for pickup. I paid out of pocket for an Uber to get to the dealership, only to be turned away at the counter by management because the paperwork they lied about sending had still not processed. I was forced to wait in the service drive for 30 minutes, stranded, while staff members were overtly rude, making condescending comments like, "Trust me, I know who you are." I attempted to escalate these issues multiple times. I requested a change of advisor and a callback from management through a receptionist; both requests were ignored. I left multiple voicemails for the service manager that went completely unreturned. When the Service Manager finally answered, he offered a generic, dismissive apology and immediately defended his staff's behavior. I was also told I would receive a full tank of gas because that's the "least they can do" my tank is still half full, another false promise. This establishment demonstrated a complete lack of integrity, zero operational communication, and an utter disregard for their customers' time and financial out-of-pocket costs. They are a completely broken, toxic department from the top down, operating on a foundation of laziness and lies. We have called the dealership 4 times and left messages in regards to this and no one will return the call, Horrible customer service and follow through. I was in Florida on vacation when my 2018 suburban started over heating in the transmission so we took it to Ferman Chevrolet. They said a couple hours to look at it with no promises of fixing it the same day long story short 2 hrs to look at turned into 8hrs and they still hadn't called me to tell me anything about my vehicle. I had to call them and it was ready for me to pick it up 45mins after I dropped it off along with that they proceeded to tell me that my transmission was bad and that It was going to cost 9k to fix it. I took it to a transmission company and they told me nothing was wrong with my transmission that it was the thermostat that goes to the transmission on this model and 700$ and 1500miles later I'm back home driving my truck everyday. Poor is an over statement. I have a brand new 2025 Chevy ZR2, 9395 miles. Bought it Ferman and service at Ferman. Had an issue with windshield washer sprayers failed. Ferman advised that they are NOT COVERED under warranty. Bumper to bumper PLUS extend warranty. Nope not covered. Its past7500 miles so its not covered. They say because water contaminated the line. Now mind you, i just put wiper fluid, no water, in unit as they were not spraying so I assumed its empty. So whatever WAS in the unit was there from.Ferman on delivery, not done by me. But its the waters fault. Not that the 7500 short mileage should be covered. No. Not covered. Then there's the tech package. On Star quit working as did nav system. As part of all this the advisor advises the tech checked it all and it's working. I get to service and he brings the truck. OnStar is not working even when he is sitting in seat himself NOR is the nav system. I asked him if he was lying then to me.or was the tech. I bought my car from them less than two years ago, in 2022. I decided to go with a 2017 Buick that was supposedly "just fixed" and had passed all the inspections they claimed to perform before handing it over to customers. At first, the car seemed great. There was a noise, but I figured it was normal for a sports car. As the months went by, that noise grew louder and louder. A year into owning the car, I had no choice but to take it in because the noise was unbearable. Turns out, I needed to replace the exhaust VVT sensor, the intake VVT sensor, and both front wheel bearings, which cost me around $1,100. To say I was furious is an understatement. I don't drive the car much, and I take good care of it. For these issues to pop up just a year after buying it is absolutely outrageous. I called the dealership, hoping for some resolution, but instead, they tried to upsell me on a car with terrible reviews. By this point, my car had already lost so much value that I reluctantly decided to keep it and pay for the repairs. Big mistake. Now, I've had to take the car back to the mechanic because the A/C system has completely failed and needs to be replaced. On top of that, the catalytic converter and gasket are damaged due to internal failure, which is going to cost me another $4,000--not to mention other issues that keep piling up. I understand that cars break down and need repairs, but I bought this car less than two years ago. I'm still paying high monthly payments for it, and it has cost me over $5,000 in repairs--more than the car is worth now. To add insult to injury, it doesn't even have 100,000 miles on it yet. The car was clearly sold to me with underlying issues that the dealership either ignored or deliberately failed to disclose. This has been a complete nightmare, and I feel taken advantage of. The final straw was being lied to about a repair cost. I specifically asked the amount and if that included labor, was given a price. We brought our car in for repair and a oil change at ferman chevy on Monday August 5th the lift gate on our Chevy traverse stopped working and I'm in a wheel chair and we need an operational lift gate we advised our service advisor merrick that we had an extended warranty policy with our car insurance policy that would pay for the repair that our part was a 250 dollar deductible and of course we would pay for the 75 dollar oil change we were responsible for. We were contacted by Merriick late Tuesday afternoon that our car was ready when we reminded him of our car repair policy he said and I quote that he didn't know about the warranty policy and he hoped that it would cover the repair at this point we arrived Wednesday at about noon to pick up our car when my husband was getting the wheelchair out of the back of our rental another service rep told us that he would advise merrick that we were there well after waiting an hour for merrick to come out he never did nor did he respond to the text message that we sent I'm not sure which customer service class that ferman Chevy sends their employees to but I don't care to be treated this way so we left and we have not been contacted since . read more

Ferman Chevrolet worked on my Chevy 3500 from 3/1/2024 until 1/1/2025. (Fuel Pump) They returned it multiple times with new or worse issues until returning it 10 months later with the fuel injectors they just installed blowing out of the motor. They also installed 3 fuel pumps ( 2 failed) and a new fuel system (14,000 dollars later. Roughly half that cost was in Labor.) GM resolution team involved throughout all this. Just the name won't actually resolve anything for you. Here are photos of the tools left in my hood. Trash left in my air intake. A diesel leak. A coolant leak. A completely unbalanced tire (notice there's no weights.) This is a minor amount of what I went through in the 10 months. They replaced both front tires charged for balancing and alignment, but never did. All while spraying fuel out down the interstate. Was nearly suicidal to drive. Trucks 13000 lbs . Dealer is likely to hurt somebody . After replacing the entire fuel system, it came back, telling me there's water in fuel they put in. Truck is still not fixed and management just won't call me back. Do yourself a favor. Don't buy a Chevy. If your Unlucky enough to already have..take it anywhere but here. read more

Purchased two vehicles from dealership after total loss from hurricane Ian. First purchase went great, put a hold on second vehicle that was unable to be sold due to recalls. When car became available sales department was unable to retrieve 2nd key and car manual from a locked office. Was provided a "we owe" statement and told items would be mailed. After not receiving them I followed up and was told they would mail parts to 2nd key. Finally had opportunity to make my way back to Tampa to have key made and they're refusing to do it. My family and I came into the Brandon location on Saturday, May 24, 2025, to purchase a vehicle. The sales rep was excellent, very kind and very helpful. We were assigned a Finance Manager Jose Acevedo who was very distracted by his phone (he was texting the entire time while he was supposed to be explaining paperwork). We did explain to Mr. Acevedo several times, we didn't want to purchase anything additional for the vehicle, because the insurance coverage she has, included what Mr. Acevedo was trying to sell (warranties, insurance etc.). We also explained this was my daughter's first time purchasing a vehicle. My daughter purchased a 2019 Nissan Altima. The original price was $17300.0(I believe it was $348.0) The price was reduced to $17,100.00. We explained she is paying $7000.00 as a down payment, so her total price for the vehicle should be $10,100.00. Mr. Acevedo agreed. Mr. Acevedo had my daughter to initial 2 places and he states, " by initialing this, you agree that we (Ferman) will not repair the scratches and dents that are currently on the vehicle". She agreed and initialed. Once returning the documents Mr. Acevedo stated, " Thank You and enjoy your car" We then had to remind him the $7000.00 down payment wasn't received. Although the paperwork Mr. Acevedo printed out stated the $7000.00 was received (maybe if he wasn't texting, he would have caught that) We called Ferman the next week, after reviewing the documents. One document shows the balance owed on the vehicle is $24k. The other document shows the balance owed is over $14k. We spoke to Mr. Jose Acevedo who became agitated with my daughter and I because we were questioning the documents. He asked us to come in and the paperwork would be changed On Thursday, May 29, 2025, we went back to Ferman (Brandon Florida Location) to correct the paperwork. While speaking to Mr. Acevedo, he started yelling at me and my daughter. We both asked him why he was being so hostile, when we are trying to have clarity. He then began yelling again, then he yelled for the salesman that assisted us. I walked out of his office and went into an office where other employees were to ask if I could speak with a manager, before I could make my request Mr. Braxton Simmons asked the Salesman "Why are they yelling at you" I then states no-one is yelling at him, however your employee is yelling at us. Another saleswoman states "Yes that's Jose yelling at them" Mr. Braxton Simmons then said to me I will be with you shortly. Andrew Frost with sales was great, however he was the only thing positive about my car buying experience. Their "corporate" office that handles paperwork is the most unprofessional outfit I have ever dealt with. I called on three different occasions and never had my voicemail returned. I tried following up with the finance manager and he never got me an answer. It took me taking time out of my day and driving to speak with the sales manager to get what I needed. I then found out that whomever handles their registration didn't listen to the multiple corrections I made as to what government agency issues my tags. Through their ignorance I was assessed sales tax twice, then told if I wanted the money back from the state (my vehicle is registered through a Native American tribe) that it would be my responsibility to apply for the refund. read more

I had an appointment for an oil change and event with the appointment and arriving on time, I was there for just shy of three hours - for an oil change! When I first arrived, a representative checked me in and said he would get someone to help me. I sat in my car for thirty minutes before he came back to tell me that the worker assigned to me was on his lunch break. This doesn't make a lot of sense when the service department is the one that scheduled the appointment time. After two hours I went outside to check on the status and was told that a printer was down and they did not add the oil to my bill and that I would have to go back inside and wait. This isn't the level of customer service I was promised when I purchased the vehicle and I'm unfortunately counting down the day until my lease ends so I don't have to return here.
