One of my favorite places to eat portuguese food. The food is so good & with many choices. The only time I do not recommend it is for busy days ( mother's/ father's day, etc ) unless you want the rodizio - then it might be the best days because the meat is super fresh as they just keep coming around. There's alot less meals to choose from and for someone who usually goes and gets their regular meal - they won't accommodate. - I usually get the Surf & Turf. Super good ! - when you're driving to the place - seems sketchy but there is a valet parking lot ( must valet ) ; but also plenty of street parking at your own risk. * A must try if you're in the Newark area. read more

Great place but make sure make reservation especially weekends they are so busy. They have plenty parking space. When we got there ( we did not have reservation), they offered us sit at the bar which was great. All main courses came with open salad bar. Steak was great taste, cooked perfectly. My Fiance suprised me and brought me here a few weekends ago. We didn't make reservations so we had to wait for about an hour. We found a place at the bar and grabbed some drinks while watching them cook the rodizio meat. It smelled amazing! We came in here with the intent to get a lobster and steak but quickly changed our minds! Our buzzer went off and it was time to eat! The bartender was no where to be found and the other 2 ignored us. It took us about 10 minutes to finally find her and get cashed out. This is my only complaint, the bartenders just weren't very attentive. Once we were sat we ordered the rodizio and everything happened pretty fast. Thank goodness, we were hungry! Everything we tried was phenomenal. So much food just coming at you non stop and it's all to good to turn down! From the moment I walked in my partner and I were treated with plenty of attention. They honored our reservation despite it being valentines day, and having other people waiting who did not make a reservation. They sat us right away. The service was really good, they seem to have a system where a few waiters tend to an area in the restaurant. I was a bit confused at first, but later found it super helpful as I could wave any of them down and they'd happily help us with our needs. The food was excellent, the Rodizio kept on coming.... like non-stop. It is a meat lover's paradise. Finally after we were stuffed to the brim with excellent meats and I receive my bill, I notice that THEY TOOK THE LIBERTY OF INCLUDING AN 18% GRATUITY. The whole experience had been so great thus far, and then to leave such a sour note. I was honestly going to leave a much more generous tip, but as you may have guessed, I didn't leave anything, and let them keep their self included tip. I did ask the waiter who brought us our bill why tip was included. From the looks of it someone else, of what he made seem a higher position (manager or assistant manager) printed the receipt, and was quick to point out and agree that it shouldn't have been done. Later that person who printed the receipt came to our table and said that on "DAYS LIKE TODAY WE INCLUDE TIP". Not specifying whether that meant a Wednesday night, a rainy evening, or Valentine's day. Regardless it was a very bad ending to what would've been a perfect dinner, and for the way that I felt in this place I will score accordingly. read more

Went here last night with a group of 7 and was really disappointed in the whole experience. Things to make note of that really impacted this...first, I just have to say that it really bugs me when a restaurant doesn't just automatically bring out glasses of water for the table. Especially when the table is ordering alcohol (pitchers of sangria), water should really come along with it. Also, service was just a hot mess last night. Our server seemed so confused by some simple questions/requests (like trying to order a glass of champagne). We put in our appetizer order first and then sat with a pile of menus on the table (we were all clearly ready to put in our dinner orders) for quite a while, but nobody took our dinner order until all of the appetizers were brought out to us already. It really just made it difficult to fit everything on the table because we were holding onto the bulky menus still. Food wise...appetizers were really the stars of the show for me! I loved the clams casino, garlic shrimp, calamari and chorizo. For dinner I ordered the skirt steak and it came over cooked and honestly pretty bland. My fiancé went with the rodizio option and somehow it took forever for his sides to come out. The server kept coming by to say the rice/beans/chips/vegetables were coming but it was halfway into his dinner that it actually showed up.. For what you pay to come and eat at this place I definitely expected better. I'm giving it 3 stars because I've been here in the past and had better experiences, but last nights experience really isn't making me want to go back anytime soon. read more

Brought my father here for his birthday. He is a very tough critic having managed restaurants all my life and he absolutely loved his steak. My friends and I went there few weeks ago, but just now get a chance to write and review This restaurant located is kind of out of the way, nothing much around it, but the restaurant is set up is really nice. We went there around 4:30pm, the place was pretty empty but one birthday party going on. We all ordered the famous "Rodizio" all I can eat steak, Yep, all "I" can eat, not you. lol I think is maybe $30 ++, which is dirt cheap, and is good...... The only thing I don't like about it is that every 2 minutes, they bring out the meat, is like slow...down man, at least let me swallow it first. But I think they do it on purpose, you know how you eat fast, you tend to not eat more and when you eat slow, you eat so much more? So they just rush you eat, eat, eat!! I know the trick. lol Overall, great place, great food, too fast of the service, need to slow down. lol read more

Great place if you want your car scratched by valet. Brought a brand new car here, forced to valet and when we got out of dinner (not worth the $$ and most definitely tasted like mutton and not beef way too gamey) the baker brought our brand new car out with a scratch. Mind you they're driving these cars recklessly reversing fast and without a care in the world. We get this guy on camera saying he'll pay for it and then he denies it when we call back. What a great first rodizio experience for my husband and I... we had no idea what to expect... he has been working construction in Newark for the past couple of months and has heard a lot about this restaurant... we decided to check it out and were not disappointed. We both did the rodozio dinner which includes the salad bar, rice, beans, French fries, and of course unlimited rounds of meat... some of the meats were better than others. Some came around multiple times and some did not come around at all, we had to ask our server to bring around a few that we wanted to try and he was more than happy to bring over (so don't be scared to ask for something you don't see!) we also had a pitcher of red sangria and finished our meal with some port and a Portuguese coffee! Just went here for the first time about a week ago for dinner and was very satisfied! First off there's free valet parking which is great, because who likes looking for parking on an empty stomach right? Haha Anyways, we walked in and were immediately seated. I ordered the 24oz steak that comes served on plank still heated with two jumbo shrimp , and oh boy was that thing not only filling and huge but cooked to perfection! There is also and salad bar there too and most of the steak dinners come with sides which is great these days since most steak restaurants I've gone to are a la carte. The drink selection was also very good ( many different martini types) along with the desserts. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.All in all, definitely will be coming back here again for my steak fix read more
