Very good doctor, he explained to me the procedure and how much it would be. Very reasonable price. Such an amazing work and he also explained to me the after care. Also the front desk lady was really polite I also loved her service. In general such an amazing place and I recommend to take your pet here.

My family and I welcomed our new puppy this Christmas and met with Dr. Cruz at Colma Animal Hospital for his first vet appointment! Dr. Cruz was very thorough in explaining everything important for our puppy's health as well as answered all the questions I had. I feel very well supported with my new puppy with Dr. Cruz!

We have the pleasure of having Dr. Cruz as our vet for our two under-two Boxers. We've moved a few times in the past few years and had a handful of vets in each new city. I can confidently share that Dr. Cruz has been the most caring, informative, and empathetic vet we've had. He goes above-and-beyond during our visits. We don't ever feel rushed in the exam rooms, pressured to buy exams, nor shamed when asking questions as first-time doggy parents. Dr. Cruz's care is relational, not transactional, and we are more than grateful to have him on our care team.

Dr. Cruz helped me find a vet that would do FHO on his right hip on my cat Sunny who had just had surgery on his left side! Then 2 months later it was his right side. I had already put out $4000. I was beside myself. I just started calling any agency I could get a hold of which there aren't many for cats. I don't even know how I got his number but he called me back right away and asked me what could I pay and he found Ambassador Hospital in Long Beach They took care of Sunny the whole staff was great! Mind you I live in San Juan Capistrano. Thank you so very very much.

We've been to 3 different veterinary hospitals in the last 4mo and Dr. Fernando Cruz has provided us with the most transparent, compassionate, and affordable care out of all of them. He has done an amazing job helping my service animal, Little Man, to breath easier and be a lot more comfortable. He's very accessible, responsive, and equitable; qualities that provide peace of mind regarding veterinary care. We're from Oakland, but coming to see Dr. Cruz at Colma Animal Hospital was absolutely worth the drive.

My regular vet didn't have an available appointment, so I thought I'd give Oasis a try since they had a same-day visit open. Pros: Same day appointment Friendly nurse/staff Reasonably priced (discount for first time clients) Cons: The room that we were seen in was filthy (see pic/video) Dr. Sung was not very compassionate toward my dog. As you can see in the photo, my dog skin was raw & exposed with blood. Dr Sung explained that it was a "hotspot". As she was speaking, she spotted a flea on the actual hotspot and yelled to the nurse, "Hurry, get the alcohol" So of course, I immediately intervened and stopped her and said, "NO, HOLD ON....wont the alcohol burn her raw skin?" She said, "Yes". She didn't spray, but proceeded to grab the flea with her fingers. Unbelievable.....I know she's a dog, but a dog will feel that pain. I'm so glad I stopped Dr. Sung dead in her tracks - that would have been extremely painful to spray alcohol on raw ,oozing and exposed skin . I won't be returning.

Around our house, he's simply known as The Cat Whisperer. Somehow he has this magical "Dr. Ash method" that can calm even my most nervous, difficult cats. Cats that normally hide, hiss, or make everyone work for it seem to trust him. I still haven't figured out his secret! What really sets Dr. Ash apart is the time he gives every patient and every pet parent. He never makes you feel rushed. He explains blood work and treatment options in incredible detail, answers every question, and has even called me in the evening to personally discuss test results. That level of care and dedication is almost unheard of. I also want to recognize his amazing staff. Raquel, Andrea, and everyone at the clinic are always so kind, patient, and genuinely caring. Whether they're drawing blood, collecting urine samples, trimming nails, or giving one of my cats a sanitary trim, they handle each cat with such compassion and professionalism. You can tell they truly love what they do. I've trusted Dr. Ash and his team with my cats for many years, and I wouldn't trust anyone more. They treat every one of my cats as if they were their own, and that means the world to me. And here's the highest compliment I can give him: if Dr. Ash ever moved to Timbuktu... I'd be pricing moving trucks the same day. That's how much I trust him. Thank you, Dr. Ash, Raquel, Andrea, and the entire team for the exceptional care you've given my furry family over the years. You are all simply the best.

Personal information was shared for my animal, not for the purpose of harassing me after I had left as a client. Spoke to the California State BAR to see if any of this is legal, it is not. Reports for harassment have now been put into Fullerton PD, the California State BAR who makes sure people's follow the laws also recommended going to court the retaliation, withholding of care, intentional infliction of distress, essentially endless power plays. This has gone from "they broke the law & overall give bad care" to " I am fearing for my physical safety." Also all of this was after a cease and assist was issued officially for my safety. Because Dr Cruz has stated many times that he feels following the law is a matter of camaraderie not obligation, he completely ignored that cease and desist. Luckily Fullerton PD is really great about situations that mirror domestic violence, even in professional settings. They have been amazing through all of this! If anyone from Fullerton PD reads this, thank you so much for your help with this ongoing harassment, retaliation, overall feeling above the law.

I still love this vet practice. Our dogs continue to be clients of Sunnycrest Animal Care Center,…read moreand we are very happy with the clinic. The staff are kind, the techs clearly care about our dogs, and we especially love Dr. Boram Lee. Our sweet girl recently had a sudden eye issue that scared us half to death, and Dr. Lee did an excellent job diagnosing and treating her. She clearly cares and works hard. We've also had good experiences with Dr. Tomko and Dr. Gaertner. That said, embedded in this 5-star experience is a very serious 1-star experience with Dr. Blanco, and I feel obligated to be very clear about it so other pet owners are aware. I hope all of your pets are able to avoid the negative outcome our poor pup experienced. A couple of years ago, we brought our other dog in because he was squinting and clearly uncomfortable. We suspected autoimmune dry eye (KCS), which is common in his breed, and we told her we had been giving him lubricating eye drops around the clock, which were helping. She was extremely dismissive and demeaning. She literally said to me, "Why would you want a dog with dry eyes?"--even though she herself has a dog with KCS. Instead of taking our concerns seriously, she insisted it was allergies (which, based on later visits, seems to be her default diagnosis even without clear signs). He never has had symptoms of allergies then or even now. She shamed me for even looking into the cause of his discomfort and scoffed when she found out my profession in the medical field, as if I was overstepping by trying to figure out what was going on with my dog. I simply was trying to provide him relief while waiting for the weekend to be over so he could get to the vet. She performed a dry eye test and said it was normal. What we later learned is that the test was invalid because we had given him lubricating drops beforehand. She knew this--we told her, and she documented it--but she did not tell us that it would invalidate the test, did not instruct us to stop drops beforehand, and did not repeat the test properly. Over multiple subsequent visits, we kept asking the same questions: Why is he squinting all the time? Why is there brown pigmentation developing in his eyes? Every time, it was dismissed. No real investigation, no change in plan. This year, when our other dog had an eye issue, Dr. Boram Lee immediately diagnosed dry eye and explicitly told us not to give lubricating drops before testing. She also tested our first dog, and his dry eye was significantly worse and clearly had been going on for a while. We took him to a veterinary ophthalmologist today, who confirmed the outcome: he now has vision impairment from chronic, untreated dry eye. He has a large area of pigment (about 1 cm) blocking his vision and fibrosis causing overall haziness. We were told this damage is largely irreversible and was very much preventable with appropriate diagnosis and treatment earlier. So to be clear: our dog spent years squinting and in pain--essentially feeling like he had sand in his eyes--while being dismissed. And now, at 7 years old, he has permanent vision loss that could have been avoided. We took our concerns to the head of the clinic, Dr. Glassberg, who was gracious and had a dignified balance between being supportive of his employee but also acknowledging our concerns. I still recommend Sunnycrest because we have had genuinely excellent care from other vets there. But I would strongly advise avoiding Dr. Blanco. This was not just bad bedside manner. This was a missed diagnosis with real consequences. If she cannot correctly diagnose a condition her own dog has--and dismisses owners raising valid concerns--there is a serious issue. There is no way to undo the damage. However, with clear evidence from the specialist that this resulted from untreated dry eye, I am hopeful the practice will take full accountability and step in to assist with these costs. His condition could have easily been managed by a general vet, but now we have to see the specialist to try to recover whatever we can. I wish there were a way to turn back time and prevent this vision loss, but sadly I do not have this option and it breaks my heart. I thought if I was attentive to my dogs and got them regular veterinary care, these outcomes could be avoided. I'm heartbroken that despite constant vigilance and repeated veterinary visits, this preventable outcome occurred. Now, I will trust my instincts instead of blindly trusting professionals and aim to only get my dogs care from vets I truly trust. I still love Sunnycrest and am a happy client there, but please heed my warning about Dr. Blanco and maybe my dog's suffering can save yours from a bad outcome. If sharing this prevents even one pet from going through what ours did, it's worth it.

I have been bringing my Doberman to this veterinary office since she was only a few months old,…read morewhich made my most recent experience extremely disappointing. My dog was in heat during this visit and was understandably a little more anxious than usual. While she did growl, this is not typical behavior for her, and I expected a veterinarian with years of experience and familiarity with my dog to be able to assess the situation professionally. Instead, the veterinarian never properly examined her. For most of the appointment, he only peeked his head into the room and would not come in. After I addressed my concerns, he finally entered but remained pressed against the wall, visibly fearful of my dog. It was shocking to see this level of discomfort from someone who has been treating her since she was a puppy. What was even more frustrating was being charged an examination fee when no meaningful examination actually took place. I specifically questioned the charge because, from my perspective, there was no exam performed. It felt unfair to pay for a service that was never provided, not to mention when I called to schedule the appointment I let the receptionist know that my dog was still on her period. Instead of telling me that it was too soon for her to come in for an examination she still scheduled my appointment. Once we began the "consultation" the vet tells me that it's too soon and that she needs to wait a couple of months. Why couldn't that have been said over the phone? We wouldn't have wasted our time to come in for a useless appointment, let alone be charged for an exam if the vet didn't even examine her?! I understand that safety is important, but if a veterinarian is unable or unwilling to properly assess a patient, that should be communicated honestly rather than charging for a full exam. After bringing my dog here for an entire year, this experience left me feeling disappointed, frustrated, and will no longer be bringing my dog here for any future visits.
