My 13 year old Yorkie tore his CCL on his left leg after jumping off my bed. In a matter of few days, he went from being super energetic to really down and I could tell it was affecting his daily life. I tried the non surgery route and got a bunch of braces/medication but it did not help. They did his bloodwork a few days before and gave me a call confirming he was good to go for surgery. I'd give zero stars if I could. we've been a loyal customer for 4 years and never thought we'd experience such mistreatment. my 10 years old dog was groomed here and the next day he had the nastiest ear infection. his ear canals were swollen and dark red as if someone used all their strength to pull out his hairs. we went to the vet next door to get it checked out and as soon as we walked in he started shaking profusely. he's never had this reaction before. the nurse there was standoffish and didn't take accountability. I fully believe that they physically abused him. he has trauma and won't let anyone go near his ears now. please don't take your pets here. read more

Dr. Cho is great, he removed a tumor from an older dog of mine with no issue. His front office staff then carried my poor boy all the way to the car and were so gentle and kind with him; I will remember this act of kindness for the rest of my life. Dr. Cho's joy at my cat's FIP recovery was probably the happiest I've ever seen him. He was then able to get me a prescription for FIP medication. Pros: staff was quick and kind, got in and out in under 30 minutes. Cons: tried to call to verify walk-in availability but was put on hold for a while. Walked in to check it out and was told I should have called. However they did accept me as walk in. Again I was out in 30 minutes for a shot, nail clip, and flea cream. Was met outside at the desk to find out that cost $240. $70 for walk ins would have been nice to know since that's double than any other vet, idk what cortisone goes for but 1shot/$75+waste fee $3.50 sucks. $71 for vet recommended flea cream for 3 months seems excessive. In hindsight, I should have inquired the price of everything but I was use to my original vet telling me what they would like to do, printing a invoice, confirming what I would like to proceed with, and have me sign off on the total prior to conducting services. Whole rushed process and getting slapped with that bill was off putting and again I could have asked what things cost that's my bad it was just not what I was use to and I was not expecting $15 to clip nails and the walk in fee to be double the average. read more

My 2 year old dog was showing off signs of discomfort and pain with changes in her mobility. No more jumping or running, difficulty going up stairs etc and had the occasional spontaneous yelp (indicating sudden sharp pain). The first time I took her in, the doctor said she likely has some joint pain in her hips. This was after a very brief and not-so-thorough exam. He touched her for 5 seconds, watched her walk around and essentially dismissed her condition as minor. No medication was prescribed. Just recommended she rest. Two weeks later her condition worsened with clear signs of stress and pain. Stuttering breathes, trembles, crying, back curled in, tail down, tongue out, clingy. They urged me to bring her in so I did. Doctor looked at her for 10 seconds and told me she will be fine with rest. I was charged 45 dollars for that. Her condition worsened drastically within that week and I decided to take her elsewhere where they misdiagnosed her. After 5 weeks of incompetent and careless vets, my dog was diagnosed with ivdd which has progressed to the point of near paralysis of her hind limbs. She is in severe pain and is in need of surgery. By chance the ER doctor specialized in neurology and knew immediately this was ivdd just by doing some basic neurologist tests that she said any vet should know. She questioned why the vet at Fullerton hills didn't administer these tests as detecting ivdd early would've made a huge difference and possibility prevented her paralysis. The carelessness of the vet costed my dog significantly. Even when I called for advice on what I should do, they only tell me to bring her in. Why? So I can pay for the doctor to do absolutely nothing like the last time? I am done with Fullerton hills. They did not take proper care Of my dog and failed to administer basic assessments. I have been coming here for almost 6 years and now I have two dogs that see Dr Cho. He and his staff have been nothing but wonderful each time. He will squeeze me in for any concerns and has even come in on a weekend when my dog had kidney stones. I have gotten vaccinations, flea meds, allergy meds, grooming, prescribed food, kidney stones removed, ultrasounds, and spaying done here and have never had a less than exceptional experience. BEWARE. Disgusting business practice and customer service. We've been loyal to this vet for over 10 years and are appalled by their lack of animal care and accountability. We took our elderly dog to be groomed and when we picked him up his back legs stopped working. No explanation was given and when we asked what happened they denied any wrongdoing and stated that he was always like that and if we wanted to get him checked, we would have to pay for a check up. They always claimed he was too hyper... his hair was always too short... his facial hair was never fully trimmed ( lots of random loose strands sticking out )... so purchased the grooming vacuum kit from Amazon, so I can trim his body hair and would just bring him to the other groomer for a "sani-cut" ( facial hair, anal glands, trim nails and private part hair trim )... even then, not fully happy. Decided to give this place a chance... 1) they opened right across the street from our place. 2) I don't think the other place took their time and had the patience to make sure they did a good job. Best to say, I am 110% happy with his grooming. No random loose facial hair strands that are long... body trim was just as I had requested, fluffy enough for winter, but not long. Brought my 2.5 year old Goldendoodle here for the first time as an emergency visit. So thankful they were able to see us the same day. The staff, and I mean EVERYONE I saw working there that day, were extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They gave me so much assurance and care as a worried owner and gave my baby Cookie so much love and attention, she calmed down immediately. For those that say Dr. Cho is a horrible vet.. I mean yeah, the doctor doesn't talk much or engage with me, the owner, besides getting some information about the visit. But the minute he walked into the room, his entire focus shifted on Cookie, and that to me right there is the perfect doctor I trust to care for my baby. He checked her condition after hearing my concerns and let me know some of the tests he would like to run. His recommendations were spot on, gave me tips on how to better care for my dog, and even waited until she woke up from sedation to personally send her home. Obviously we aren't best friends after the appointment, and Dr. Cho did not smile while we got into the car to leave or even say goodbye. What I did notice was that his eyes were fixated on my dog until we drove away out of his view. Thanks to Fullerton Hills Pet Clinic and the entire team, I will be switching to this place although it is a bit further than our normal vet. PS. Come here if you wanna be hopelessly misled. The staff is nice, except they weren't helpful with me. My first visit was optimistic since we were prescribed eye and throat medication. 2 weeks later, her condition worsened and I called in to see if they could recheck her since I felt the first diagnostic was wrong. The doctor sees me for 2 minutes, doesn't answer any of my simple questions or concerns besides saying he hears a heart murmur (he forgot to address her eye issue lol). He also didn't ask me anything about her! Then I was told that he can't give me the right medication without paying for a $300 X-ray. Okay sure, but you have no leads as to what it could possibly be? Then he hands me off to a nurse who happily charges me $54 for a recheck ("$10 cheaper than a normal visit!") - even though they gave me useless medication during our first visit & zero advice on my situation now besides asking I do an x-ray. They couldn't answer any of my concerns or questions as if it was impossible to have any thoughts without an x-ray. If you have a real emergency, I'd pass on this scam of a clinic. read more

The doctor gave us extra anti-barf pills as that was his food problem every couple months and a $500 visit at the local animal pet care and hospital in Whittier. He gave us special Hillscience dog food for his episodes as well and no problem clearing up. Eventually we began feeding him Stella's semi-cooked frozen patties with another brand for variety and he's not had digestive issues for a year. Dogs need veggies and fresh food. Do not take your pet for grooming. I have taken my pet here a few times before they have moved locations and had not had any problems though I have heard some people have had bad experiences with this clinic. About 20 minutes after I dropped off my pet the front staff called me asking me if I had noticed anything on my dogs eye before dropping her off as they had noticed some redness in one of her eyes, mind you I had dropped off a perfectly healthy dog! After rushing back they brought my pet back and her eyes were blood shot! They claim they have done nothing but after speaking to two different vets they confirmed it was most likely caused by injury, injury they claim to never have caused. They claim the cameras don't show the spot in which my dog was being kept and did not offer any treatment or checkups besides antibiotic eye drops. They did not take responsibility for their action at all. The vet (owner) did not want to take responsibility at all and even screamed at his staff demanding them to "take care of THE problem"! I ended up going to another clinic to get all testing and checkup which this place did not offer. This place should not be open for business or practice. First of all they overcharge ridiculous amounts of sub charge fees for every diagnostic they run including eye dilation. Patients are diagnosed within 5-10 minutes and usually in the waiting room from anywhere between 30-45 minutes even with an appointment. The Doctor never answers questions about my cat directly and avoids talking directly with you. 09/08 Came in with my cat who had a discharge with slightly red irritated eye only to be prescribed wrong medication from this clinic which included steroids causing more irritation and pain and made my cat almost lose his eye. 09/26 was told to just keep using the same medication without a proper dilation or look at. My cat's eye was getting more irritated and worse. His eyes were red, itchy irritated to cloudy, foggy and spotty. Waiting for a few days and by 09/30 Following my intuition I had another which another doctor diagnose through photos and observation that my cat had an eye ulcer recommended I stop using the vet's prescribed one and use and or try different medication. October stopped listening and coming here and my cat could see without a swollen red cloudy eye. Definitely don't waste your time and or money coming here! read more

The place I normally get my dogs groomed at was moving locations, so I decided to try this place out because it was much closer to home anyway. I took my dog Sparky here. A couple hours later, the hospital called saying he was ready for pickup. I was so blown away by how clean and well groomed he came out! He even had a bandana on him (very cute)! After a month or so, I decided to bring my more feisty dog, Snoopy, who has a history of ear infections and doesn't trust strangers as much as Sparky does. Claire, the groomer, groomed my Maltipoo Sparky and was going to groom my other Maltipoo, Snoopy, as well. I warned her that he is a biter, but was shocked to see that he didn't growl at her once and let her pick him up. A few hours later, the hospital called to let me know he was ready pickup. I was very surprised by how clean the insides of his ears were! Usually, Snoopy starts growling and gets ready to bite once a stranger touches his ears, but Claire seemed to have no problem with doing so. Another bandana was put on Snoopy, and Claire had cut his fur exactly the way we asked! Amazing job! We'll be back! read more

My dogs were taken to this clinic to be euthanized by my Mom in which I was unaware that she was putting my dogs down.The reason why I am writing this.is because my dogs were chipped under my name and if the de would have checked that before putting them to sleep my dogs would still be alive,but unfortunately the assumption was those dogs were my moms but realistically mine. Please do not bring your pets to this vet. The doctor is extremely unprofessional and does not know what he is doing. Many of the positive reviews you see on Google or Yelp are FAKE. The majority of his clients are old friends and acquaintances. I brought my dog here and the doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong until the second visit. He was unable to properly and correctly diagnose my dog and I had to go back a second time. He operated on my dog and did not provide me with a dog cone (which I would have happily purchased). I asked the staff twice if he needed a dog cone but they assured me each time that it wasn't necessary. My dog ended up ripping out the stitches the following night and I had to purchase a dog cone from an emergency clinic. Even the nurse at the clinic was confused as to why my vet didn't provide me with a cone. When I brought up my concerns to the doctor at my most recent visit, him and his assistant became extremely hostile and defensive. I actually had to ask the assistant to not raise her voice at me, which is unbelievably unprofessional. If you love your pets, please do not bring them here as he will not care for them the way they deserve to be cared for. read more

Beware my puppy died after came back from this clinic. Diagnosed as Parvo virus but when I took the pup to emergency clinic, No parvo virus found. My pup stayed at this clinic 2days I also asked for medical records and they sent me garage written records, which I can not even understand. My niece write better than the vet.
