Five stars aren't enough for Fernando's Chimney, I was very impressed with Ursula and Marco. Ursula was very attentive to my concerns, addressed them, communicated frequently and is very knowledgeable and professional. My chimney was an eyesore, missing the cap and needed a new crown. Sadly, we had animal activity in our chimney last summer, which we thought was closed off. We called Fernando's and they were able to come out quickly and assess our situation. They were professional, clean, and clear about cost and scale of services they could offer. Also, they were very knowledge about the what considerations we should think about with an old home. We have a 100+ yr home and not knowing the real status of our chimney, come to discover that our chimney had no cap and the flew had been open creating unnecessary drafts and entry for "friends" into our chimney. They were able to close off our chimney, since we don't use it. No more serious drafts (I mean it's an old house, so drafts are common!), but so much better..and no unwanted furry visitors. There were a lot of cracks in the chimney which were fixed with silicone .Ursula was very patient with me even when I asked the same questions more than once. I am new to Fireplaces. I called the same day they came out. They are very reasonable and they do not try to jack prices up when there or try to sell you something even if you need it. I needed a chimney cap and they told me but never tried to push me to buy from they at all. They showed me how to open and close the damper, I did not know because we are new fireplace owners. Learned some great things, like our gas fireplace can also be used for wood. They showed me what is old and needed. They were very personable and friendly. These are the people you want and can trust. Not a one of those huge companies that try to upsell you all the time and fake. Try them! You will not be disappointed :) read more

In September 2022 I called them to install the chimney liner and cap. They were on time and completed the job. I had a lot of questions and Ursula answered them. She was very patient and thorough. On the day they arrived the provided periodic updates of their progress. Some additional work needed to be done to have the liner installed. They explained and resolved the issue. I am satisfied with the work. I highly recommend Fernando's Chimney. In October 2021 Fernando's Chimney Inc. is a very good company. I called them because I needed someone to clean my chimney. They were very accommodating because it was cold and the furnace was turned off since the chimney was clogged with debris. They worked fast and very knowledgeable. Ursula and Marcos are a great team. Here's my experience with Fernando's: they told us the first cleaning would be extra because of dirtiness despite not seeing our chimney and tried to get us to buy multiple sessions. They promptly then cancelled our first appointment. When they finally arrived they we're gone in about 20 minutes and barely did anything. No assessment of the chimney or work provided was given. I didn't even see them use tools to go up inside of it. They basically waved a shop vac around the firebox and it was still filthy afterwards anyway. Do not hire these guys. It was a complete waste of $250. They are more focused on getting you to buy recurring services than providing quality work. Tellingly they do not accept credit cards either so you have no recourse to dispute charges. Buyer beware. read more

You know when you find good trustworthy people that does work on your house and you wish they offered more services, just because you liked them so much and they cared about their customers..... Ursula and Marco are those people. I called a furnace company to come out and replace the flue pipe since it was deteriorating. That company stated that I needed a chimney liner and could not reconnect the furnace. That company left the furnace unconnected and turned off. We were without heat for 4 days. After calling around and receiving estimates for a new chimney liner, I found Fernando's Chimney. Ursula and Marco gave me what options they had to offer. Ursula was honest and fair with the estimate. They hooked up my furnace right then and there. They came back a few days later to do the chimney liner. As a female customer, Ursula was a breath of fresh air, she was knowledgeable with pictures to back up that information. She made me comfortable and the estimate was the best offered. Win Win for me. I called Fernando's Chimney for repairs and I've got a prompt response from them, they came in gave me an estimate on the repairs, I think that what sets them apart from the other companies I had called was the professionalism they carry on. Ursula took the time to explain to me the options for the repairs also she was able to tell me about the different materials to use. Marco and Ursula did a great job installing the liner for the chimney as well as the repairs done to the chimney I will highly recommend them to anyone looking to fix a chimney and tuck pointing. I called Fernando's Chimney on the recommendation of a friend. In late 2019 I had a part and a fire going and smoke started coming back into the room, so I was in desperate need of a repair (or so I thought). I talked to a couple of other companies, but when they saw my chimney they quoted me repairs in the thousands so I ended up not fixing, and consequently not using, my chimney for awhile. But then I was given Fernando's info. As with any other chimney service I was expecting a long wait time, maybe up to two months, but on the phone we booked from 5 days out from the call. When he came and inspected my chimney he told me it was working well and didn't need any repairs (he properly tested it too while I was there). He told me why it likely was blowing smoke back in that day in 2019, and gave me tips on how to use it properly and what to do if that ever happened again. I wish I would've called him sooner!!
